Rhonda is the best at Tyler Texas. However as much as she tried to get my order it was not to be. My order came in and it was damaged. So my order was sent back and Rhonda was not told of my order coming in damaged so she could order me a replacement. ( this put me behind schedule for 2&1/2 weeks ) Sadly this first time customer is now a last time customer due to incompetence on the shipping/receiving end of things. Way to go idiots in shipping/receiving, throw your best Salesperson under the bus, not acceptable behavior or practice. If you call the Tyler Texas store only deal with Rhonda she is on top of her game. Rhonda gets 10&1/2 stars and everyone else involved gets 0 stars. ( the 5 stars I rated are for Rhonda only and no one else )

There were 3 men, I couldnt get help finding what I needed or getting a tool repaired. I waited in line twice when there was one, and asked for help twice when there wasnt. I needed 6 items, was shown one, then left to wander looking for the rest and carry the unwieldy Chainsaw on a pole that needed repair as I did so. I felt invisible. I watched them help others, and even watched as 2 men looked up an 1 item for a man, then the two of them looked up a replacement item for a couple.

Not sure why people keep recommending this place to me. The site says one thing but you get there and you are definitely going to pay more. Or, as in my case, they wont have half the stuff in stock. One person got helped out for a while and even offered a coupon, I was just told if you dont see it, we dont have it. Should have went to HD which was my first option before the recommendations.

I have previously purchased a NorthStar 7.5 h.p., 80 gal air compressor from the Tyler store. I am very happy with the service there and the quality of their products. I previously frequented the Woodbury, MN store when I lived in MN.

We dropped off a Honda lawn mower for repair about a month ago. The drive belt was shredding. The service department still hasnt received the belt. They didnt order the belt until earlier this week. When we dropped off the lawn mower, we authorized up to $200 in repairs without the service department needing to contact me (in case the warranty didnt cover the repairs). Ive been calling them at least once a week since I dropped it off asking on the status but it wasnt until I went in to the service department earlier this week that they said they needed to order the belt. Im very disappointed in the service department.

I wouldnt say that I shop here regularly, but, I do come here on occasion to make single larger purchases. Ladder racks, scaffolds etc.. Always has been a pretty straight forward, quick and efficient process of getting in and out, with what I am looking for. The employees have always been helpful and polite.

All the staff was very friendly, I had a online order for pick up and even though they hadnt pulled it when i came in and checked in for my online order they got straight to pulling it for me. They were very helpful and even asked if there was anything else I needed help with outside of my online order. The prices are great and I would highly recommend them for tools. I will be shopping here on a more regular basis being they are the closest place for me to purchase tools. store was small but with the size still very organized and easy to find everything.

It was not good. I went for two things. A floor jack they had three out of eight spots where they were suppose to be. A floor fan all the ones in stock were the wrong stock number from the one in the sale paper. So I left.

I have always owned Craftsman tools until about 2 years ago I bought a Klutch tool chest. They are durable, easy to use, and Northern tool has replacement sockets at a reasonable price. Just love Northern Tool.

Walked in the store about 7:15, knowing they close at 8. I’m not the type of person to linger around and keep employees late at a store, as I’ve worked in retail environments myself before. So, I’m the only customer in the store after 7:30 and at 7:30, 7:45 and 7:55 the young lady behind the cash register gets on the intercom and announces that they’re closing soon. Knowing I’m the only person in the store how about just making sure I’m aware of that one time and leave it alone after that? It was rude, annoying and I felt rushed and hurried through my shopping. I regrettably spent over $200 in there, anyway. I don’t even care if the items I purchased were top notch at this point. It was my first visit to a Northern Tool and it will be my last. Your website advertises that you sell Beta tools. That’s what I originally went there to see, but two employees working there acted like they had never heard of the brand. This chain MIGHT be a step up from Harbor Freight, but I’ve had much friendlier service at Harbor Freight. Maybe other locations are better, but I’d avoid the Tyler location to avoid frustrations - there’s a plethora of them in that store and I just scratched the surface in my short 45 minute trip.

Ordered a part on Tuesday was supposed to come in Thursday or Friday. Call up there Sunday to see if it had come in and I guess the guy answering the phone was too lazy to check on it. He had every reason for not checking instead of checking. I am truly disappointed with these guys.

The only complaint I have about this store is that many times they do not have enough stock to cover sales. They will send out a sale flyer, with discount coupons, but if you dont get into the store the next day after you get the flyer in the mail, you might not get what youre going for. For instance, the product that I purchased today, they only had four of (now they only have three). If you know that your going to have a sale on a product, stock your store for the sale.

Great place to get tools. Very friendly and knowledgeable and will bend over backwards to help you. Great place to get repairs on saws and other 2 stroke equipment.

Very hard to get around in store. Narrow rows. Hard to find items. Hard to even find checkout.

Update: both store and online has become horrible... NO!!!!! communication for either one one shippments... got to do your own research to find your order. Even though online they have A LOT to offer, the store offers way less. Had 3 separate orders shipped there from and online purchases, staff was fairly helpful.

Really nice store. Clean and well stocked. The staff is very friendly. Im deducting one star because of how crowded the aisles are. Its almost impossible to get around with bulky items on your cart. It wont stop me from shopping there.
