But the guy we spoke to, an older gentleman who just referred to himself as “coach” asked straight up, “how much money do you have to put down?” I said “we don’t have anything to put down right now, just trying to see what is out there.” He replied “if you don’t have any money, what are we doing here? We are wasting time.” I reminded him about the banner out front and he reluctantly agreed to a tour. I was mortified by his attitude

Home is good quality, its just sad the people in Tylers office run shop so poorly. Jo Porter was our sales person and did an ok job, though I did a majority myself (finding and negotiating land, etc.). That seemed to be the case with alot of our move. I had to coordinate like a general contractor to make the move timely and they took credit for it.Biggest issue is what was promised vs. received AFTER the sale. It was said that you turn in a 30-day punch list for things cosmetic or broken, maybe left off, etc. - inside and out. Then their handyman comes for improvements and repairs. Great, right?Well....I turned it in on the 30-day mark and it took 3 months for the office manager, Amanda (rude as all get-out), to get on his schedule.  Once he did come, the GM, Chad, called him away for an emergency job/fix less than half way into our reserved time... leaving nothing finished. Youd think hed finish that emergent case and return, right? 3 days after leaving, I emailed to see when hed return with NO response. After a second email with still, NO response, I called the GM, Chad. He put us another month out to have him back out. At the scheduled return time, they informed me they were pushing that date out by yet ANOTHER week.Theres so much more thats flawed with the Tyler Solitaire homeplace, but its too much to write here. Just be cautious when considering them. What you read in negative comments is real life experiences...I concur completely.But again, the actual home is good!

Do not do business with this company they take your $ 500.00 to get started .then hand you keys to look at the homes on your own no prices was ever given on any homes .then they give you paperwork to fill out and bring back . sayings the price is locked in when you havent been given any prices.Joe Hiltherth guaranteed a full refund if I changed my mind. I was in there on a Saturday .l called him at 9am on Monday for my refund .he told me to call back on Friday so he could request a refund he said it would take two weeks for the refund.after three weeks .Joe Hiltherth clams I never talked to him he calmed he had been out for two weeks.everyone in the office was laughing at me because I was upset that Joe had lied to me .then he hung up on me.

Awesome homes and good folks there!

Installation of the home is completely unacceptable amount of excuses. Going on 11 weeks now and its had 2 days worth of work done by their supposed to be Top Notch contractor teams. They took the sale money and run, the service after the sale is them coming up with more excuses.

The staff at Solitaire Homes have all been very nice and helpful. Tyler Barrett did a very good job of answering all my questions and helping me find the right home.

We just bought our second house from Solitaire Homes and both times have been a wonderful experience! Joe and Chad have been very responsive and a blessing to do business with! We love the houses, they are well built and well designed! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new home!

First rate service answered all my questions for a future purchase.

Do not trust what Joe tells you. We were guaranteed approval with a certain deposit down, so I put our $500 down for the trailer to hold it. Classic bait and switch. Then he said we needed $5,000 more down. After my fiance called him out about it he got in his face and said he couldnt work with us anymore. After talking with his boss turns out supposedly the bank made a mistake, and we only needed $2,500 more down. We called it off because I wasnt about to pull my pants down bend over and say of thank you Joe...I had to go up there 3 different times to get my $500 back. They held the check for 2 weeks while Joe dodged our calls or told us he didnt know anything about my money...supposedly there was a miscommunication about the check. I couldnt believe the childishness of these people. On the other hand American Homes in Tyler is a much better place to go! Hope this helps!

I cant brag on Chad Adams, the GM of Solitaire Homes Tyler, enough! He gave us top-notch service and made sure that we selected the home that was just right for our needs.Everything ran very smoothly--from the financing to the delivery and setup. Atlantic Air did an excellent job with our skirting and our air conditioner install.Even though we went with the 1140 square foot home, it is just perfect for our family of 4. Everyone who enters our home says, Wow! This is so nice! And it truly is. The scratch-resistant flooring that is in the kitchen and bathroom has proven to be just that. And we are the family to put it to the test!All of the fixtures are very modern, and so is the color scheme. Nice, warm tones. No floral patterns. ;)My favorite part of the home is the master bedroom. Solitaire Homes did a great job at giving us a large master bedroom with a large master bathroom and closet to boot. There is plenty of room for our bed, two nightstands, and I also have a very nice sewing table set up. Others may prefer a loveseat or a nice computer desk instead. :)There is a large bar in the kitchen that accommodates 5 place settings quite nicely. Just perfect for us!We have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with our home. It is a beautiful barn red color, and it looks so nice on our property. Very welcoming.I recommend everyone buy a Solitaire home and to buy it from Chad. He is a stickler about his paperwork, and he will keep your file nice and neat, ensuring that every thing is collected and turned in on time during the process. I cant think of a better guy that I would want to do business with.Oh, and the electric bills have been great! Ive paid 5 of them so far. I have sent Chad copies of the bills, so you can see them when you go in.

We bought a home almost five years ago from Chad and we absolutely love our home ... we recently have pulled up the living room carpet and are redoing it and called to ask to get the boxes of our tile and they got it for us to go pick up ... love their customer service will and do recommend them to family and friends!!!!

Salespeople knew that I was looking but not buying at this point.Did not pressure me and were helpful in pointing me in the right direction for what I was looking for.They were all very knowledgeable in their products and gave me some good information.

I have purchased 2 Solitaire homes from Joe. One new and the other, a double wide, used. Joe worked with me on any issues that popped up with the used one and Im very pleased with both of them. Well built homes!

Good quality homes but Joe has the worst comprehensive selling attitude he never let me talked. And whenever I was saying something he would talk and talk. Worst experience ever. Then he transfer me with another seller because I told him that he was not supposed to be arguing with a customer. Chad is different he was more respectful and not contradictory.

Would not recommend this company. They lied to us. They took$2000.00 off the price because of needing new carpet in one of the rooms and a stove for the kitchen. My fault for not getting it in writing but then they lied and said they did not take anything off of the price. If they wanted full price they should have stated that instead of lying.

The rudiest people ive ever met i was treated as if i were a bum when i pulled in to inquire about a home . I also had been searching craigslist for a home and this joe whom works for them had posted a home on craigslist as an older couple that was selling such home when in fact it was just a deception to lure you in when i discovered this and explained that it was wrong to do he told me to go to church when in fact i believe he should practice christ like ways himself basically dishonest snobby people there are better and more honest people to buy a home from in your search for your new home i actually found one frm an individual today hope this steers you in the right direction i also see in the reviews other experinces such as mine god bless

I recently purchased a used 2001 Solitaire manufactured home so I could relocate to East Texas. I am very impressed with the quality of the home that was 12 years old. The sheetrock walls and the plywood floors, along with the real wood cabintes really made a difference with our decision to purchase the home. We shopped all over East Texas and no one had a home we liked. All the other homes were very cheap, and not what we were looking for. At Solitaire Homes Chad was very good at listening to our needs and wants. He went above and beyond to find a home to meet all our needs. On September 3,2012, my home burned losing everything. My son and his family live with me so it was a two family lose. I was in the home improvement business for about 20 years and had been out of the business since 2003, I had no idea how expensive it had become to build a home. Our journey began looking at conventional style homes, steel homes, modular and double wides homes being my last choice. After looking for hours on line and in a car for days, I had just about given up. We were told about Solitaire Homes but had not been there. We had looked at other double wides and some of the ones we liked, my daughter in law did manufacturer and retail look up on quality of the homes and how good the retailer stood behind their product. On one retailer, according to BBB, they had many bad reports and the product they were selling had as many as 35 hits on bad manufacturing, meaning the manf. nor the retailer was standing behind the product. This held true on most. So, my daughter in law suggested we check Solitaires. Solitaire has an A+ rating. Needless to say, we were in the car to go to Solitaire Homes in Tyler. When we walked up to the door, we were welcomed with a smile. The christian environment was a large plus and as two females there without a male, no one talked down to us or treated us less than a person there looking for a quality home. I was highly impressed with the way the home is built. I was impressed that the sells people took the time to show us from the ground up how the home is built. I was impressed that hard sell tactics were not used and was given room to go home and think about and pray about the purchase. We did purchase the Solitaire PRT4SC,2013, 32X82 home and have not regretted it for a moment. If I have any questions or problems which have been minimal, I can call and each time, treated with the same respect as the first day I walked in to the door. I know that it has been a blessing for me and my family to have this relationship with Solitaire. Chad and everyone that we have dealt with has been nothing but professional, respectful and just plain easy to like. Was lied to to get to come out there then when we got there they said they had none of what they had advertised nor could they do what they had said. Then tried to upsell to us after all that. Was a big waste of our time and gas to go here.

After leaving this place i had no desire to come back. If you start your sales pitch by bashing your competitor than you either not selling a good product or are a horible sales man. Not only did he spend most of his time bashing competitors the one and only house he showed me and my wife was 30k over the budget we told him. He also made my wife feel very uncomfortable by directing comments at her making her feel stupid. Oh and the maserati up front shows just how much each house lines his pockets.

My family and I couldnt be happier that we bought a Solitiare home! HUGE thanks to Joe Hildreth for keeping us informed through the process and keeping it real with us the whole time! You wont find many people who will be blunt and straight forward these days, but I can honestly say, he is one of them! They went above and beyond for our family and everything that was promised, was done!! We bought our home about two weeks before Christmas and wanted to be moved in before Christmas. Their team went to work and had us in our home before Christmas with days to spare! Mike and Dwayne worked weekends and took time away from their families so ours could spend Christmas in our new home, and we really cant thank them enough!! If you want a home that will last and a team of people that will treat you like family, this is definitely the place to come.

The salesperson was honest and told us how the homes were made out of thick sheet rock. And honest to tell us that we can put $500 for a lock on the price to which is supposed to increase due to the previous natural disasters that happened . We liked one house that can possible be our new home.

Ask for J.C. he knows his stuff way better than most of the other sales agents in Tyler.And tell him that I sent you.

From start to finish, Solitaire is the best in the housing industry. Our experience with Solitaire goes beyond words. J.C, our salesman, was genuine, down to earth, and very honest about the whole process. He truly made us feel welcomed and gave us hope that we would get our home. He didnt try to sell us on designs and flattery. He showed us what their homes are built out of. As soon as walked into one of the homes on the lot, we could tell how solid it was. We were able to take part of a Managers Special and we are beyond pleased with our new home.
