I don’t know why other people left negative reviews for this very friendly and professional store. I was there two weeks ago and they took their time to have my eyes examined. They gave me a full detailed report. I walked out with a really nice pair of glasses. They are much better much big stores. Very Happy!
I don’t know why the other people have negative about this great store. The staff was very nice and caring that you don’t find anywhere. I would come here definitely if you want great service and great choices of frames.
Very helpful staff especially the receptionist Christina! My mom and I tried on numerous glasses and she was very patient with us. Nice selection of glasses in the store as well!
Great place for eye exam. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. No need to go to chain stores and get treated badly and get robbed.

I am so stressed out with moving out of state, still working and making sure my son has his glasses before we leave and Ms. Isabel accommodated me with not only an appt right away but a location closer to where I live as well. She was very professional and caring towards my stressful situation. Little things like this can really go a long way, you never know what a person is going through. Thank you Ms. Isabel you are truly haven sent.

DO NOT COME HERE!This place WILL overcharge you AND they have the WORST services.I went with my friend to get his eye check out. He had to not only reschedule his appointment multiple times, and.. he does not even have the ability to talk to the doctor directly. It goes through some random call line who doesn’t know what’s going on.He ended up overpaying his contact when I got the same prescription for half the price. I’m not sure if the contacts are worse quality because he has had irritation problems. Just don’t go here, it’s a waste of your money and time. You can do the same for less.
I am sorry to say but I was dissatisfied with the customer service my daughter received today for broken frames and fitting for new rubber glasses that I purchased out of pocket. My dad was informed one thing and the receptionist is stating something else. It’s truly uncalled for the service provided by staff members who can’t give a straight answer on the eyewear services being provided at Provision in Union.
They do not pick up the phone when you call.
Do not come here. They will overcharge you with no explanation and book appointments for you when they are not even open.1) Overcharging — my insurance covers contacts up to $250. I had to pay an additional $130 out of pocket. My family member who purchased the exact same contacts from another eye doctor with the SAME insurance only had to pay $9 out of pocket. This price discrepancy makes no sense! When I called to ask for more details (by the way, you cannot reach the office directly. A remote call center handles all the calls), I was told to look at the itemized receipt and the doctor REFUSED to speak to me because “there’s nothing to explain”. The itemized receipt did not answer my question and it was extremely unprofessional that the doctor refused to explain to me how my contacts were billed.2) On TWO occasions, I had to reschedule my appointments because of this office’s negligence. The first time, they booked me an appointment for a day they were closed. The second time, I had to reschedule the day to pick up my contacts because the doctor was not in the office. Why did they allow me to schedule my pickup that day in the first place? Just extremely organized.Please do not waste your time and money and get your vision needs at another office.
I was forced to pay for an eye exam before they would set my appointment ($149). I then look thru their inventory and the salesman said his Name was Chris(He lied), would only show me cheap frames as if I wasnt able to afford better. I picked out a pair I liked and left an additional $400 for a deposit. Chris tells me all receipts are emailed. After 24 hours and no receipts, I go back to Provision to ask for my proof of payment, My girlfriend and her 8 year old son were locked in the store and I was locked out since I had to park the car. Police came and said take them to court! So Im out of $550 and no exam results! This place is a scam!!! Avoid them at all cost!!!!
This was my first time here and the appointment itself wasnt bad. My issues all began afterwards. My glasses broke shortly after my appointment so I thought it was perfect timing that I just got my eyes checked. I needed a copy of my eyeglass prescription and called multiple times on three different days to ask for it. Every time I called, they said they would get back to me or email it to me soon. Well, a few days went by and I still received nothing. After calling one last time and arguing/begging for the prescription, they finally sent it; didnt offer an apology or anything. I questioned why it took so long to send it, and someone rudely said some prescriptions need to be finalized and they take a long time. After asking other optometrists, I found that statement to be false. A contact lens prescription may take longer but theres no reason an eyeglass prescription should be delayed if you already had the eye exam. The doctor even told me that my new prescription wasnt far off from my old one - so she knew what it was. All I needed was a copy of that; it shouldnt have been this difficult. I also noticed on Yelp that someone in the Jersey City location had the same problem getting their prescription. Im not really sure whose fault it was, but regardless, this should not have been a problem to begin with.I was supposed to go back for a contact lens fitting but decided to cancel because of how frustrated I was with the company. They also charged my card for the fitting appointment already - even though I never scheduled it yet. I cant even get a refund for that because they dont offer refunds on anything. Take note.I do not doubt Dr. Tongs abilities at all. She was great during my appointment; very soft-spoken and attentive. The only receptionist I recall being understanding and patient was Charissa. I thank her for that. Everyone else? Not so much. I just think the business needs to run more efficiently and be a lot more understanding of patients needs. Ive never left an eye exam appointment without a new prescription given to me right away. I dont think thats right, and they also made me feel incredibly stupid on the phone. Please take this criticism to improve your business.
Absolutely amazing! I was able to book an appointment immediately, the staff was very kind and hospitable, and the doctor was EXTREMELY thorough. She also took the time to explain things in a clear and helpful manner. They really care about people and offer the best service. I look forward to continue going there for my eye care needs.-Also, the selection of glasses they have there is really nice with great prices. I highly recommend them! I wish I knew about this place sooner.
Wonderful experience! Dr. Tong is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Office is clean and organized, friendly staff, and very short wait times. Would recommend to anybody. 👍
Doctor was very knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner. Small place but had decent options for glasses. Same day exams available so you dont need to have a prescription on hand. They will also go through the insurance. Not many sale options for high prescriptions.
Update to respond:While I agree that I was not willing to pay more than the exam cost copays of$10 that both UHC Vision and thier partner LasikPlus said it falls under, I left because of the front desk staff.You kept me in the waiting room while the doctor was waiting and the focus of our conversation was to discredit and disqualify Lasik, build fear that I wouldnt Qualify for Lasik(which wasnt/isnt a concern), and pushing me to agree to purchase glasses or contacts that day. When thay didnt work, you aggressively work on changing the billing process. Besides the fact that you kept asking me for my vision insurance card (5+ times), forgeting it was emailed to you, and at the end you took photos of my phone with yours which was odd. I mentioned a few times that you were deteriorating any confidence I had walking into your office but you kept with the disqualification of lasik. The billing through health insurance was the final straw, that would leave me open for you to bill me additional amount later. Why would I do that if the people referring you said I needed only the annual exam.Im sorry you feel this is a false review but this is/was my experience with your business. I understand your frustration, no one likes a bad review. Id recommend learning from this experience, not getting desperate to bill a high amount on the first visit and work on relationship building. My long term business wouldve made you more money than 1 visit.Have a better dayOriginal post:I visited due to having some dryness and blurry vision with my eyes, 2 years after Ive gotten lasikPlus Surgery. I called both UHC vision UHC thier Partner LaiskPlus and they explained I needed a annual exam with a form filled out.My understanding while setting up the appointment is that they have experience with Lasik patients and they were somewhat familiar with the reevaluation form. Diffrent story when I arrived.While they were polite, the main guys demeanor seemed to change once I explained that I was not going to purchase contacts or glasses, even if they recommended it, because the visit itself was to get the reevaluation form filled out for my lasik doctor(standard process)Then said I couldnt use my vision plan and MUST go through my insurance which requires 5x the copays required and might have Bills sent afterward if insurance doesnt cover the visit.Kept repeating that he doesnt know if I could even qualify for lasik. Kept asking questions digging for more information (how old are you? Might be too old, might not be a fit anymore) I spent 35 mins with him until he finally said I have to use medical only, so I left.Called up PearlVision and lucky they were able to schedule me in, so not too much time waited.My experience wasnt ideal and it felt sales like from how much he wanted to discredit Lasik and push me to buy glasses. Told me he worked there 20 years so he knows what hes talking about....but then would say he doesnt know because hes not the doctor...It felt like they were not going to make much off me so they needed to figure out a better billing process.Anyways, I wont be back but this is just my experience, couldve been an off day for them, couldve been a bad luck day for me. Just be aware and potentially get a 2nd opinion if glasses or contacts are your only choice with them

1star, been here a year ago, ive waited fir almst 3-4 mos till i have them keeps on returning them, i told them that doesnt fits my eyes, then they were able to fix the other pair. I want to go back to complain why the other pair give me headache cause the pther one was broken so im using the other pair. Im always having headache that originates from the inside corner of my eyes, which i suspect caused by my eyeglasses. I waant to go hack to them but i remember how they treat me before then they dont have the patient and the lady eye doctor even make face. Its not the first time that i use progressive, i started using progressive eyeglassess 5 years ago so i know how to use them. They are mean!!!!
