The cleanliness of the shop and service of the staff alone made me feel like a valued customer. I wish more places could adopt the service standards that is provided at Mavis.

I was greeted by Sam as I entered and I explained my car issues and she told me they will look at it. I was called and explained exactly what the issues with my car was. I was satisfied by how she was patient and made sure the parts was received for my vehicle. I will continue returning to this shop.

Best Mavis Tire I’ve been to! The entire staff were extremely kind and helpful from the first phone call. I would consider myself a “difficult customer” but they made me feel the complete opposite. I was having a hard time getting what I needed done from a different location for days. They patiently listened to the issues I had and also let me vent for a second. LOL They took me in right away, mind you it was 5:30pm on a Sunday and they closed at 6pm. They diagnosed my vehicle, did the the things I was told I could not by others, figured out and honored my warranty with no hesitation. & also did a great work job. I’m never bringing my car anywhere else. I went to this Mavis thats about 5 blocks from my home on Monday the 27th around 9am. I wanted to replace the front two tires, that were worn down, with the same brand/model of the rear tires. I knew it would need to be ordered. As expected, they told me they would have to order it, they should be in around 11am the next day, Tuesday, and theyll call me when its in. The next day, Tuesday, 11am came and went. Around 1pm on Tuesday I called them. The gentleman started to himself they should have called - but stopped short before completing his sentence. He then told me hell call me back in about five minutes. I got the impression the tires did not come in. Its now Wednesday 9/29 4pm, two days later and I still didnt get a call back.Ive given this particular shop the benefit of the doubt in the past, but now Im not happy at all and very disappointed. Im looking somewhere else for servicing.

My rating is for today’s lack of customer service. I dropped my car off at 10:30 am for an oil change and brakes. I advised them that there is no rush just call when ready. I was told they will call when ready. Around 3:30 I called just to check in and maybe get the cost and they advised me that they haven’t looked at my car yet. Well, at 4:40(20 mins before they close), they call and advised me I can pick it up. I asked how much the brakes were and she advised me they were not done. She stated they did not have someone in to do the brakes today!!! Really??? You didn’t think to tell me that at 10:30 am, call me or tell me at 3:30 when I called??!?? I left my car there the whole day thinking everything was being done. I would have went elsewhere if they couldn’t do it as the brakes just started to grind and I don’t want to wait for a bigger issue. I never had a problem with this place before. I have been coming for years. Raj was always GREAT and communicated very well but this girl at the desk today wasn’t. Front desk should know what services can be preformed that day or let the customer know as soon as possible, not at the end of day!! Even better, I got in the car just to see my low tire pressure light on. I’m guessing when they saw the light on, it was too much to put air in the tire for their customer? Work in your customer service.

The Valley Stream Mavis is incredible, i tried to go to the Rockville center location bc its right by my house. Eddie (General Mgr) at Valley Stream Mavis has made this my “Go To “ Mavis location. I came herelate in the afternoon just for some air for my tires and then thought I’d ask if my car was ready for my routine tire rotation. Although i thought it would be a long shot if they had time for me so late in the day but Eddie said it shouldn’t be too long. One of his employees was just finishing up another job then they told me to pull up my car. While my car was on the lift Eddie then told me I needed new brakes. Of course I said to go ahead and repair them. I wasn’t there more than an hour and all these services were done. Thank you Eddie/Mavis for your professionalism. I’ll see you next time.

Ok so lets start with Eddie. He was so helpful made me feel at ease from the first phone call till after I left the shop. Then Bradley. Super professional was able to handle several things at one time. These two had the shop running smooth. The young man that did the work had me in an out in an ho. He did all four tires. Came in to get my brakes done. They checked my car told me that my brakes are fine but I needed tired and shocks, showing me what was wrong.The only issue I have with this place is the long wait but thats to be expected because its smaller than the other ones,so they have to have items delivered from a few towns overThe guys behind the counter were super helpful and polite. Apologized for all the delays but made sure my car was taken care of.Im sure that if this place was a big bigger and the pandemic wasnt an issue, things would be done faster

I always go to this Mavis for work on tires. I get my inspection done here as well. Guys in the front, Raj, Eddy, and Bradley are efficient. Always a good experience. One time, I had all 4 tires replaced. The tech replaced the tires, inflated my spare tire, placed it in its proper place, and placed all my tires in individual bags inside the car. They have also done my brakes/rotors. They do great work.

I went here for and oil change and a day later I noticed oil spots in my driveway. Figured they put too much oil so I went to work and saw more oil spots after I left a parking spot so I took the car to the Huntington Honda dealership to find out what the leaking oil was from and come to find out the mechanics stripped the nut for the oil pan and replaced it with something out of home depot for a hot water heater or something. The nut had to be cut off and replaced also the oil had to be changed again...😡 😤 Ill never go there for an oil change again. Ill just have to take the L on the wait times at the dealership for an oil change.

HORRIBLE SERVICE I had a 5pm appointment on a tuesday for a simple oil change on a 2021 vehicle, at 615 pm I looked and my car was still in the same spot. I went to the counter and got my keys back and left. Will never go to mavis in valley stream again. Zero stars

I, unfortunately, had been running late this morning and came 10 minutes late for my oil change appointment. This location was very busy this morning, but the manager who worked with me remained very courteous and had an easygoing, unhurried manner. They were kind enough to squeeze me in and were able to complete the work on my car much sooner than I anticipated. This location was highly recommended to me by a friend, and I absolutely see why. The customer service has been excellent each time I have come. Ive never been rushed, theyve always explained things well when I had questions, and the rates are quite reasonable. And the work on my car has always been a job well done.

Ive been using this place since I moved to the area for oil changes, tire rotations, suspension, wheel alignment, rims, tps sensors brakes and tire installations. I come from a long line of automotive mechanics and I know my way around a vehicle very well just dont have the time or space to do my own work anymore. And the staff here has been exceptional and rates are very good for the work performed. I will continue to use them for as long as I dont have warranty
