Karen S. is awesome. She is knowledgeable, polite, and invested in making women like myself who know nothing about cars more knowledgeable. On a larger, all-inclusive scale: every interaction she had with customers while I was there was very helpful & informative. She even helped her colleagues out in the store while it was very busy and stayed calm. She is a valuable employee.

I asked where the emergency hammers were. You know, the things you use to shatter a glass window if your car is flooding and you need to escape, a baby was accidentally left in a hot car, a dog was left in a hot car, etc. Normally the hammer comes with a seatbelt cutter at the bottom. But anyways, I asked where they were. The female employee didnt know what they were, even after I explained it. She called over/asked the male employee. He said hes never heard of them, and why would you need them when you could just use your elbow/fist/arm, or an object (i.e. a crowbar, tire iron, hammer, etc.) I am 52, 99lbs of skin and bones. I cannot elbow/punch/push out a car window. If I COULD, then I wouldnt be looking for a hammer. I also, unfortunately, do not drive around with a crowbar, tire iron, hammer, etc. with me. If I did, I wouldnt be looking for a window hammer. A simple we dont carry that would have been sufficient. The rest was not helpful. Poor customer service. Ill get one from Amazon.UPDATE: I did get an air freshener here. Works fine. Also a unicorn phone holder for the car. It works. Ill add photos of those.UPDATE: Company (as you can see) reached out to me, asking to email them. I appreciate the company reaching out to me regarding my experience. I will email them now and see if anything happens.UPDATE: The company did respond and are looking to review. For that, I am bumping my review up to three stars. Mistakes happen. Its how you correct them that matters. Own it, apologize, learn from it, and fix it.

Jen and Megan were so fantastic! They were very patient with helping me pick out the light bulb that I needed and while changing it they tested my bright lights and found out I needed one of those bulbs as well and changed that one too. Such an enjoyable experience.

Its hard to get the right parts here. Being so far from my house it made it a pain to get what we really needed. After two major issues we ended up giving up and returned it all and paid more at our local small town Napa.

I was driving across country in July 2021 from Massachusetts to Las Vegas and I noticed while I was in Indiana that my car lagged a little. I brought it in to have my battery checked and Lee helped me. I thought it was my battery but it turns out my alternator was bad. Lee helped me soooooo much. Thank you Lee. He looked at prices, checked other stores, checked Hyundai, gave me sound input and advice, and was trying to help me come up with a plan. Jen also gave her input and advice which was sooo helpful being someone not from the area.I was able to get my alternator sent to the store and also got it put in my car- THE SAME DAY!?!?!? whaatttttt. I couldnt believe it! I was able to get to my next destination just later than I had expected but still the same day! Lee gave me great advice for where to go for a shop. They were excellent.Lee and Jen helped this cross country, not from the area traveler sooooo much. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I rarely have good experiences at the Demotte Indiana store. Even the GM is rude. They are nowhere near as friendly as the Valpo store.I purchased a faulty caliper and they didnt have a replacement part and I needed it today. So I bought it at Napa and had to pay a core fee since Autozone had my original part.I tried to return the part where I bought it in Demotte and asked about my core money and the GM butted right into the conversation rudely with an immediate attitude and told me I wasnt getting my core back or my 45.00 it was worth. After I argued that wasnt right she said shell call someone tomorrow about but I was likely not getting it.I called the Valpo store and talked to Jen the GM who kindly let me know the policy is to give me the money for the core and to come there.I was forced to drive 40 minutes to Valpo to get a refund but also received great service by Jen the GM who was very kind and knew how to treat a person with more than general respect. Ill drive out there going forward. Being treated right is worth the drive!Thank you for your help Jen!

I like AutoZone a and the staff is pretty friendly, only issue I had is I couldnt find regular RainX windshield fluid, the orange stuff. They had bug remover and de-icer but not the orange bottle.

They were friendly and helped me find what I was looking for, answered several questions and asked a few to make sure I was getting the right product for my application. This is my second or 3rd time back out of all the other choices in Valpo. Dave M. Seems to be here a lot and is always really cool.... laid back and helpful, I am NOT a mechanic and he takes the time to explain things so even I can understand them.Quick in and out, easy!!Highly recommended!!!

They have a couple people that have worked at this location for years very helpful in getting the parts that you needAuto zone and their computer system on the other hand is not so awesome I have lifetime warranties on things that they cant find anymore yeah so class action lawsuit against auto zone I think would be a good idea

Tommy at the Valpo store was great! He tested my battery to make sure it was the problem, helped me choose the best battery for my vehicle, and even changed it out for me! It was cold and really windy but he did not care about the bad weather, he only cared about helping a customer. I even tried to tip him $20 for helping me with the replacement but he would not take it, he was only concerned about the customer experience and the reputation of the company. AutoZone must be doing something right to have such friendly and dedicated employees. Thanks again for the help Tommy and AutoZone!

There is a great selection of products for your car, truck, motorcycle, moped, etc. I usually have no problem finding what I need without any assistance since the store is well organized. Being a younger guy, most of the employees here dont pay much attention to me (I assume they expect that I wont be purchasing much).

I hate to leave a 1 star review over one employee, but he was the worse, most condescending, and rude old man Ive ever talked to. I had a bad battery, but he refused to sell me a new one without testing it, which would take over an hour. Why cant I just spend money without having to waste another hour of my time?

Web site claims free next day delivery after a certain price point. Also states that they will install a battery purchased from them free of charge. Well let me tell you they refused to deliver a battery that I would purchase and are therefore falsely advertising their services. Its a shame to treat senior citizens in this fashion. I will be sure to let all my contacts know. Must also say that the individual that answered the phone was not understanding or helpful and I found them to be rude.

These guys are the best. Its new years day right? And 10 below zero outside, and my moms minivan battery gives up the ghost. Hell I dont wanna change it, its 10 below! I highly recommend this location. I have been there before and received excellent, helpful service. Today I had some problems with my windshield wipers. Marie was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She earned my respect and my gratitude for her able assistance. When a further complication arose, she called on Eric. He quickly jumped in to help out and spent several minutes with me and my car to help resolve the issue. Both were highly professional. One reason I like this place is no one tried to sell me anything I didnt need.

Awful had to re ring hundreds of dollars as the first guy did it wrong. All these employees sit on their cell phones ever where completely disconnected from basic service.

This was our default store for getting auto parts before we moved from Valparaiso (only a few months ago). I would constantly get the vibe that people dont like working for Autozone in this store. Customer service always seemed a little rough through my multiple dealings with this location. Ive been to plenty of Autozones, but this one just seemed a bit rougher attitude wise. An example for this was I purchased a part online, but wanted to do an exchange the store since I order the wrong part. When I walked up to the counter, the associate started to help me, got frustrated because she didnt know what to do, left the station, went to another assoicate and asked them to take care of me... The problem was that associate didnt hear her. I didnt get helped again until another associate came over curious why I was at the counter and I was half checked out. Thats my criticisms, but on the plus side they always had what I needed and were somewhat knowledgeable (maybe except for internet exchanges) when I would ask questions. If youre looking for a store of smiles, maybe skip over this one, but if that doesnt bother you, they should have what you need.Due to the owner seeing my review and responding quickly Ive improved the review to 4 stars. Thank you!

Steven “assistant manager- customer satisfaction” might possibly be the absolute worst customer service employee I have ever had to deal with. He was rude, not willing to help, at all, and refused to talk to us. We honestly are very friendly and understanding people. He literally rolled his eyes at us when we asked for a code reader and when we came back in with us REFUSED to explain the situation. I will NEVER go back to that auto zone again. Drive a little bit farther and go to o’reily’s down the street. I’m sorry I even walked into that store and “bothered” him. If you are his manager or the owner of this store reading this, for the sake of your business get him out of there, or put him in a position where he is never allowed to talk to customers again. I do recall him having treated us similarly in the past, but never to this extent.

Ordered the part I needed for my car. Was told when it would be in and that changed a couple times. A little annoying but probably something they cant control. The staff is friendly and helpful.

They waste time with others and know you stand there waiting. They need more help, they order wrong parts, when calling, they may possibly counting money out loud as you are speaking. NOT customer service oriented.

The employees are extremely helpful and will five you ideas and tips to solve what ever problem youre facing. And if town at you purchase doesnt work they will give you a refund even without the packaging, just bring a receipt.

One man caused this negative review, but AutoZone continues to employ him. He is very demeaning or condescending towards women who come in to buy products, hes very sarcastic & rolls his eyes or even turns his back on you. I have not been to auto zone in months will continue with Advanced or OReillys, with employees with some manners & great customer service.

Went in to buy a replacement filter for an Eldabrock air filter that they sell. Apparently I am the first customer that has come in to buy a replacement filter for this air breather, because they didnt have a clue what I needed. I know that they have sold this for several years.
