Java House is by far our favorite coffee shop in downtown Vancouver. Their coffee is the best and the owners, Cora and Lonnie are super friendly and always remember our coffee and food preferences. I absolutely love Java House!

Fond memories. My first fancy coffee was here. Son was in high school and I drove him to work. He worked nearby and wanted a mocha. I had a carmel latte. Same owners, around 30 years later.

The owners are very nice and have excellent customer service and memory. Second time in, she recognized me. Third time, she knew what I wanted. She frequently asks me how my friend his doing when I come in alone and my friend how Im doing when she comes in alone. Really feels welcoming and like a family

Im a bit of a coffee addict and this was hands down one of the best coffee house experiences over her had!! Wide selection of coffee, tea, and yummy real food!!. Very friendly owner and staff made me feel like part of the family. A locally owned business for 27 years she knows what shes doing! Thank you!!

What a hidden little gem of a place! Spacious coffee spot, and a courtyard on the inside of a building with other quaint shops. This was a lovely experience. The breakfast sandwiches are fresh and just the right size, and the coffee is smooth.

Very bold coffee, absolutely delicious. They sell Panache coffee, which the owner said was a Portland local roaster. They have about a dozen or more coffees and teas to choose from...I was a little overwhelmed, but the owner was nice and helped me figure out the taste I was used to and we went from there. I got the Guatemalan Coastal Blend as a pour over - bold but bitter sweet chocolate taste. I can see why theyve been around for 25 years.

So first and formost I like the actual bitter taste of coffee and espresso. I usually get an espresso con pana or espresso with a tad bit of whip cream.Sadly the coffee was rancid tasting, either because the machine is not cleaned or the beans were bad. I usually get whip cream to get rid of a lil bit of rancid flavor but this was bad. No amount of sugar or whip cream was going to change that.I had a scone and it wasnt my favorite, not sure why just tasted kind of boring.The lady behind the counter was so sweet though and later on as she was making her rounds saw I hadnt touched much of what I ordered, I think she asked me if everything was fine and I lied. I know usually what happens is most places want to replace it but knowing that Id get the same thing isnt worth my time or hers.Outside of that even though this location is open and has good natural lighting it was so loud from other people chatting. Not the best acoustics for introverts.

Great proprietors! Been @ that location over 25 years. They Always remember your order, & make your drink to Your perfection! Lots of room to entertain clients in the huge adjoining foyer amid great Art work, other goodies. Free parking across the street!

Great coffee, superb and simple menu. The space itself is fantastic for working, chatting with friends, and people watching.But the real icing on the cake is the folks who own the place. They are genuinely kind and caring, and are the kind of folks who will remember your name (and your order!).

This place is the best spot to get coffee. The owners take goos care of the place and the people. They seem to know everyone and even if they dont know you, you will still feel special. Cora and Lonny are the best.Looking for a local spot, this place is THE place.

Although a little quiet later in the day, you cant find a friendlier staff or better coffee. Sadly not a great place to go if you need to plug in a laptop. They also close a bit too early for me (I usually like to hang out and write a while).

Cora and Lonny and their staff are terrific. They create a warm hospitable atmosphere with excellent coffee and related drinks. I often schedule meetings there. Seating is available for one or two or for very large groups. Java House is conveniently located downtown at the corner of Evergreen and Columbia.

I fell in love with this coffee shop immediatly. From the ambiance to the owners and their two employees (who I believe know everyone by name) to even those who patron the coffee shop on a regular basis. Its very hard not to be in a better mood once you leave Java House. Its the Cheers of Downtown Vancouver. I love it.

Decent coffee and bites. Can be cold, didnt feel any heat happening. Seems to be a small mom and pop. Ill pass but good to know.

Great place to meet clients. WIFI is offered and if the seating is full there is a whole central seating area in the atrium. This area is shared by all the businesses there and it offers great artwork displays as a bonus!

I stopped in recently, after a long absence and the owner says After a warm hello and says...Carmel soy, machiato... right? The brew is great, ...but the experience and service is far more than a good cup of joe!!
