Awesome store for models and RC cars, planes and any other cool hobby vehicles! Very organized store and knowledgeable staff. I love the models around the store. I imagine the completed models on display are only going to increase. The cruise ship is by far my favorite. :-)

Very rude service person, I didnt even mind that it took 3 days longer to fix my rc car. But no calls to tell me not to come in ever, and then acts mad that he is doing the job. Then charged 20.00 more than estimate. But on the bright side the repair looks good. Not very happy.

Very helpful when me and my wife were looking for model paint for my son. When were were leaving, we bid goodbye and were responded with spend some money next time, this came from an elderly man there at the time possibly the owner. Well, it was our first and will be our last time in your store, Ill go to Portland and save on tax. Not a fan of yours. Too bad, because the young guys working there were very courteous, helpful and polite. Maybe the old man should learn some manners from these young men.

Had what I needed in stock and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I have probably spent 20k at this place in the last 10-15 years but recently they are striking out big time. I have been in 5 times recently and all five times they had nothing to sell me. I have been into RC since I was a kid and know what I want. I understand they cater to the ready to run market but they don’t have basic things like spektrum radios and receivers, high quality servos ect. They are always “sold out”or they say “it doesn’t sell” so they don’t carry them. Well all five times I went to their store and walked out empty handed I drove to RC hobbies in Portland and they had exactly what I was looking for. They need to hire someone who knows what they are selling and have them help with inventory. I’m not going to waste my time anymore.

Great people that are very knowledgeable. No high pressure sells. They are moving to a bigger store!!! Come check them out. I will come back.

Smaller then the one in Portland but still good for the local hobbyist. My fiance took me here and I wanted to check it out. Not bad location and hoping they expand and keep us Washingtonians more local to support businesses.

Ive been here on a couple of occasions and have been pleasantly surprised regarding pricing and selection. The last time I was here was to purchase something that was mostly sold out online. Lots of cool stuff to look at too!

Limited stuff. It doesn’t have a stuff I’m looking for. So better to call them to see if they have a stuff you’re looking for instead of drive all the way to this store. Save your time.

Great selection of gundams (which is what I was shopping for at the time) but also great selection of terrain building items (things Ive shopped for in the past). Friendly service, fair prices (on par with other places selling similar items, even online). Love this shop.

Verry poor customer service today to say the least normally you guys make things right and have been doing so for me for the last 20 years but today I was verry let down and you guys really dropt the ball on fixing a mistake made by your own employees and it ended costing me even though it wasnt my mistake you guys messed up and made me pay for it verry sad.

Awful customer service, employees more concerned about having conversation amongst themselves than helping customers. The 2 women are the worst more concerned on what they are having for lunch then anyone in the store.I was looking into getting my husband an R/C car but after wandering around starring at a couple and not once being acknowledged I figured I would go elsewhere. Ended up at Remote Control Hobbies in Portland and purchased it there since they said Hi the minute I walked in and asked if I had any questions, none of which Hobby Town did.I had hoped the couple times in the past I was there was a fluke but when there are 3 people working and no one in store but me and they cant even say hello my money went elsewhere, too bad they used to be a nice helpful store, not sure what happened to those employees.

Amazing employee’s that care and want to get you what you want and help you pick the best for the best price. Fully recommend to go and find your next rc car, planes, boats, helicopters, and parts for all of them.

Very knowledgeable staff with lots of inventory and parts. I have always found what I needed for my RC cars. They have lots of model stuff and plane stuff too!

So I come here all the time.. love this place..Today on 6/1/20 I pull up at 15 minutes to closing there was a sign said curb side pick up. Bridgette was walking out on her break and I say can I go in... she says no but what you need. I gave her my part # and shes off .. comes out Im like I 4 got a part she goes in gets all my stuff and get me going while talking with her... excellent customer service ... like always... Id give this store 10 stars if I could. Always got a good selection of parts.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable

I guess I should have known what to expect based on reviews here. The woman running the shop was rude to me just as she’s been to so many others. My great offense? Asking to exchange a part that didn’t fit, one they’d picked out after I told them the car I have. Instead of just reminding me of their policy or letting it go, she lectured me - a lot - and made me stand around while she repackaged the $12 part instead of just letting me get out of there with a more expensive part. They got a bit more money from me but I won’t be back, which is a shame because who doesn’t want a hobby store in their neighborhood?

I just went in there to browse while I was getting my oil changed seems like a good store.

The guys are all fantastic here, theyre so knowledgeable and helpful...theyve spent hours over our visits helping my son troubleshoot his trucks, no charge and while teaching him in the process. Wide variety of products, good prices, overall just an excellent place to spend money on an entertaining hobby!

Really cool little spot with a huge variety of models, some train stuff, and seemingly a lot of focus on RC hobbies. I went in specifically for super glue, the selection they have for adhesives is crazy, and decently priced.

I have personally spent over $2,500 at once in this store I have bought several different RC cars Ive bought drones and each and every time I have one in there their customer service for each one of their employees is downright despicableEvery time I ask for some service or if I have a question about a product they act like its some big deal like its not their job or something every time I leave there I feel so frustrated with how Im treated each time I go in there the only reason I set foot in that store is because its convenient place for me to shop since Im only right down the road from there

They sold me the wrong batter cause the car to smoke and break. Then they said that my car was old yet I just bought it from them recently. Talk about customer service. Recommend not buying from them.

Good place to go for your RC things you may need big on Traxxas and Pro-Line. They have a lot of other hobby stuff too

Will never shop at this store again. Went in, was completely ignored, the two ladies couldn’t be bothered to even say hello, and to top it off they can’t seem to be bothered to stock simple hobby supplies. This is why small businesses close and loose out to online shopping. It would have been easier and less frustrating to buy on Amazon. I’ll also tell all of my friends to not bother going here as well, and they build a lot of model kits.

This place is awesome, bought my Arrma granite there. First RC ever and they set me up gave me tips and everything I needed. Then went and got another crawling rig there. Same experience, awesome as always. And I go in all the time getting parts and they look up part numbers for you if you don’t know off your head. Super helpful people. Love this place 👌👌

Excellent customer service and reasonable priced parts accept the fact that they dont carry any parts for some of the RC cars that they sell and some of employees can be some real dingbats I call and ask if they can order a part for me and I get told could you please call back later were a little busy at the moment Im sorry I just spent three hundred and fifty bucks on a f****** or she a few weeks ago and dont want to have to call back to order a f****** part for itUpdate: third visit and this will be my lastSad to say bevause its a great store and the owner is very respectable guy...

Trash they dont have parts for all the rigs they sell not even basic stuff and the lady running it was rude to me when i asked questions and even worse to the guy that used to work there i think his name was chuck, i personally know a lot of rc people that have stopped going in there if she is working i will never go back and spend my money in there its online orders for me but not from them and i here now they have changed there hrs what a joke, the owner might want to rethink who is running his shop before its all gone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible customer service, I was standing in line to buy parts when a regular customer from the sounds of it came in and was immediately helped. The staff and management have a lot to learn about customer service.

Went there to trade I a motor and was told only the manager can do it and that the manager went out to smoke. Waited for half hour and still no manager so we left

Theyve been better since they made a couple of changes. Modeling has been improved, which is GREAT news to the plastic modeling population here! The atmosphere seems more family friendly, as well as a better overall knowledge of the various hobby they have available. Good job!

Terrible experience bought a battery that after plugging it into my toy car just started smoking, after telling them they said that my problem. Recommend ordering from amazon Or somewhere else

Was better when Tod was there ! Love the store, the kid that rang me up forgot to get my discount on the ready to run VXL rustler I bought . He gave it to me on the battery though I guess laugh out loud ! Todd seriously was actually knowledgeable in all facets of the hobby store ! They do not seem to have anyone in there with any kind of hobby knowledge whatsoever anymore ! The kid couldnt even run some numbers on a extra set of wheels and tires for me . Know what youre after and have your own part numbers they might completely suck these days is what Im saying ...

I live in Astoria, so while I was in Vancouver on business, I had looked up hobby stores and drove straight there before heading home. I have severalHobbies all going at the same time and a hobby store is my Shangri La. In short time my arms were full and had some questions about an RC boat project and the nice lady helped me out and steered me in the right direction! Also, it’s jammed with stuff for a modest sized store. A very good selection of Guillows balsa wood kits, model ships, railroad scenic and a Tamiya paint rack! Can’t wait to return!👌😎

Been here a long time. Locally owned, great people, tons of knowledge and lots of help.

They usually have the hard to find stuff that you need. Never wild about paying the price but then again if you have a hobby you pay the price and its usually always worth it.

Everytime i have gone here they never has common traxxas parts i have spent thousands at this shop today was the end of me doing business with this location as i was standing there a kid about 11yrs old bought a servo and when they tested it it literally didnt move or make a sound and she was Persistent on they kid stripped the gears and there is nothing they can do she said warranty dont cover gears lmao the thing didnt even make a sound so anyways she was super rude i left the few things they did have for me on the counter walked out customers are always right by the way i will just order online thanks

Do not buy anything from this store unless you are absolutely 100% sure you plan on using the item.I purchased a $70.00 model airplane kit but upon opening the box it was far beyond my stress level. I had discussed this with the store employee prior to purchasing and he explained there would be no problem. Well Hobby Town has a NO RETURN POLICY once box is opened. I had the policy explained in the most rude condescending manner. Buy your models/kits at Freddys or other stores where there is a return policy.

We are fairly new to the RC hobby so we havent upgraded to the $300 cars yet. We are learning how to maintain them. We have replaced a differential and repaired a wiring problem. In both cases we came to this shop and they not only ordered the exact right parts but also gave us instruction on how to do the work! This time they repaired the wiring and didnt even charge us! Amazing experts!

Very friendly and helpful staff. I brought a helicopter here looking for spare parts. Not only did they have the part in stock, they spent a half hour helping me troubleshoot an issue I was having with my helicopter too. Will definitely shop here again.

The store is good but the personnel just never seem happy there almost always rude when I go in there I would recommend hooked on hobby in Longview over them any day

Very disappointing lack of service!!!! We special ordered some parts for an RC car. Paid cash up front and was told the parts would hopefully be there by the end of the week. After 2 weeks I called and was told that they didnt have time to check but they would call me when the parts were in. I called again a week later and was told that only one of the parts had arrived and the others were backordered. Asked when they would arrive and was informed that their sales rep was on vacation so they would have to call his backup person to find out. I held for some time while they did that and was told to call back the next day to see what the rep could find out. Called back and was told that the part was shipping that day but it was too soon to get a tracking number. Called back 3 days later to find out that the parts should be delivered the next week. Bridget left me a message the day the parts arrived. The next day I went to pick them up....only to find that they had closed early due to a change in hours. But just then 2 employees came out the door so I approached with receipt in hand and asked if they could please give me the parts that were already paid for....and they wouldnt do it. They said their computer system was in the middle of a backup so they couldnt release the parts.I explained how inconvenient it would be to make a special trip back, mentioned that Google was still showing that they were open, and they could not have cared less. They said that the vendor was to blame for the inconvenience because they had backordered the parts. They also said that they will soon be going back to normal hours....as if I would ever consider buying something from them again.

I called on 2/11 ive spoke with a staff member (Bridgette) she went above and beyond to help track parts for my 8s xmaxx.. knowing thats its still a newer truck on the market so its hard to find factory replacement parts for it In stock. she was able to have them in within 7 days. thank you

Good overall Hobby Shop, a bit of many things but mostly RC. Small typical fare of plastic kits but a surprisingly good selection of paints tools etc for the serious plastic model maker.
