The owner Laura, and her whole staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. The food is amazing. The atmosphere was clean, refreshing and upbeat. I love the fact that the owners and their kids have dedicated their lives to bettering humanity. Their story is told in the detail of the establishment. It’s absolutely beautiful.

The original, and best, location of our towns best coffeeshop. This venue is a touch more spacious than the downtown location and often hosts a variety of small events. Its got great vibes and is an excellent place to relax and enjoy fresh coffee and delicious food. Supporting local has never tasted so good.

Fantastic coffee and food. Their pastries are phenomenal. Great service and a very welcoming environment. Their story of humble beginnings is very interesting and their mission to give back to their communities is heart warming.

We visited in April 2021 after a friend recommended it as a great local spot for fantastic coffee and delicious food. When we arrived, the outside entrance didn’t do the place justice…but once we walked in, we were immediately impressed by the fun selection of menu options and the cozy and relaxing atmosphere. In addition to the traditional coffee offerings, their signature espresso drink selection made it very hard to choose what to order! They also recommended a freshly made blondie which was amazing and will now be a go-to item for us anytime we visit. Above and beyond the food and atmosphere, we were warmly greeted by the owners themselves, who offered our daughter a fresh picked flower from their garden as we were relaxing on the couch and enjoying our coffee. Needless to say, this is now a must visit spot each time we travel to Vero Beach. Huge props to Michael and Laura for creating such a wonderful café!

This is the most comfortable coffee house Ive been to yet. The atmosphere is serene and laid back. They play music in the back ground. There is free water here with a dispenser. Free Wi-Fi access and plenty of tables and room to bring a group with you. This is a gem of a place.

Great coffee and awesome atmosphere. Family owned, which I love, and very unique. Fun drinks and pastries that you dont find just anywhere. Definitely recommend!!

Fresh Coffee, from Honduras if Im not mistaken, at an affordable price. No rediculously expensive starbucks price by a barista who barely knows coffee. Everything is made to order abs there is even a reward system for each drink you order. Even when there is a line, they dont take long to take your order. And usually, unless your coffee requires a French press, its ready in a few minutes.Popular with all age demographics, from teens to seniors. Rooms are filled with comfortable furniture you would find in homes, from fluffy love seats to huge dinning room tables. Area in the back is set up for events, such as open mic night or free massage Mondays.Very nice, comfortable coffee shop, that wont stress your wallet.

This is an edit of my previous 5 star review:My family has enjoyed visiting Rio Coco each of the past three years on our annual trip down to Vero Beach from Ohio. The food and drinks are great. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. Ive always been pleased with the service from all employees. However, I have decided that I needed to update my review due to a recent conversation that I overheard from one employee (I believe it was the owner) to another (it seemed like it was her first day today).As everyone is keenly aware these days, we are in the midst of a pandemic, the likes of which most people alive today have never experienced. As a result of this, our daily experiences and the way we interact with one another has necessarily changed, including the use of masks to prevent further spread. In this conversation, one employee was explaining to the newer one that while they require employees to wear masks, that was going to change very soon. Hearing that was very disappointing.While I do not live nearby, and therefore dont have the opportunity to visit Rio Coco on a regular basis, I cannot continue to support a business that cares so little about their employees, their customers, and the friends and families of those employees and customers.

Best coffee! We always visit this place when we travel to Florida. But coffee is so good and fresh. The people are so friendly. The atmosphere is very peaceful and awesome. The owner is so nice. And all the money that they make goes to a great cause. My husband and I got married in Vero Beach. And we brought our entire wedding party to the coffee shop. Everybody loved it. And everybody still orders coffee and has it shipped back home LOL I know we have told so many people about this place.

Do yourself a favor and buy the coffee. Its fantastic. We purchased some for our friends as gifts and they love it, too.

The menu is amazing, prices, selection and uniqueness is great. They have almond milk for milk substitute. Atmosphere is cute and good for friends or studies.

This place is a true gem. I was traveling for business in the area, and I went to go in the restaurant and they were closing. The owner reopened Just for me even though she was on her way some place . And made me one of the tastiest cafe con leche. I will definitely come back when I am in the area. The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet

I just want to say this cafe is top notch. My first time experience was one to remember. All the employees are wonderful and make the experience delightful. It’s a treat to see smiling faces and high positive energy. Mikaela, Arielle and naomi are attentive and pleasant. The environment is peaceful and relaxed. The place gives you a warm and welcoming, family-feel. This will not be my last visit. This might just be my new favorite cafe— you’re missing out if you haven’t tried Rio Coco!

We really like your dark roast coffee and also the sumatra. Seems everything we always try is perfect and the employees are great !! Keep up the hard work and dont listen negative north people. They should have stayed up in there blue states rather than bring there high covid cases down here since they care so much about this pandemic. Think before you speak.

Great ..out of this world food. I mean... the BEST FOOD IN VERO BEACH. parking good. You go to counter, order and wait. There is a fair amount of parking and 2 entrance doors, free wifi. The baristas are sort of friendly but theyre very thorough. Music is good. A coffee joint or restaurant. Your choice. They close at 3pm.

Downtown shop was great. The lentil soup with squash and sweet potato was outstanding.

One of the best roasts Ive had in Indian River county. The roast in house so its very fresh. Friendly staff, cozy vibe, and the breakfast sandy was delicious. Wifi is slow and unsecured but it exists. I will definitely be coming back to this little hideaway, most likely with a book.

Great coffee and nice place

When I first moved to Vero, back in 2011, I was often disappointed by the local coffee houses. Then one day my wife and I stumbled into a little place called Rio Coco. Its a little off the beaten path (West of the Airport) so you wont necessary drive right by it, but its worth a trip for the coffee they serve.Since that first visit, its been fun to watch it more than triple in space to provide a relaxing and fun-filled atmosphere for its patrons. You can go in and hook-up to wifi and work a while or plan a team meeting at one of the many tables that seats five or more people.While the coffee is, hands down - HANDS DOWN, the best in our area, they also have a wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch items as well as some great desserts.I feel the same way about the downtown location!If you want good coffee, then look no further!

Absolutely the best coffee ever! Fresh handpicked organic beans are roasted right here in this locations. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Sometimes the line is long because the coffee us so good. The food is fairly good.

BEST COFFEE in Florida! My husband and I come from Washington State where theres a coffee stand on every corner. We were shocked to find out what Florida residents consider Espresso coffee. So finding Rio Coco was a god send. We love thier coffee and homemade bakery goods are out out of this world! So if youre in the Vero Beach area this is a must goto spot!

Coffee is great! I had the Fresh Wrap which is delicious. They even have PBJ for kids.

The environment is relaxed and soothing. The staff are incredibly helpful and the coffee and food are great. Didnt expect them to have real food, but they did and it was awesome. Also read up on the missions that they are involved in in Nicaragua. I wont go to any other place now.

Coffee is excellent. Service is excellent. A bit pricy, but its for a good cause. Owner is responsive! My only complaint is that the butter provided for my toast was refrigerated and unsalted.

New find for me. Its unique...from the cuckoo clock to the live music unexpectedly in the early afternoon. Food is fantastic too. And the coffee...oo la la.

We get our coffee beans from here in a nice big bag. They get them directly from they place that grows them so they are as fresh as one can get in the states. You can get them ground but we grind it ourselves. They also have coffee premade and cold brew if you prefer that. They also have a nice menu of foods and smoothies. They have comfy places to sit and a very relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Heaven on Earth!I love with these people do as well. After reading about them and their missionaries, it made me even more want to patronize this place any chance I got. Just picked up some Ecuadorian Blue Mountain Coffee witch, in my opinion, puts any Jamaican blue too shame

Im from South FL and prefer to buy my coffee beans freshly roasted. The store grade doesnt do it for me because 2 weeks after roasting the beans go stale. Why more people dont know this I dont know. After switching to fresh roasted I have been unable to go back unless I use cream and sugar. My parents live in Vero so Ive got beans here a couple times now when I come up. The first time I came here they had the bags on the wall. I asked if any were roasted recently, hoping to get the freshest I could. They said it was all roasted within the week. Most places I have gone to will tell me the roast date as it is important to get the beans before the 2 week mark. I usually wont ask but I guess all the bags on the wall made me think some may have been older. I found the roast of the beans to be dark like a french roast which I personally am not a fan of. The beans tasted stale. I came back the other day and got a medium roast and was told again they are all roasted within the week. This time was a little better but I felt the roast was still a bit dark and the beans tasted semi stale. Most of the roasters I go to in South FL do not have a dark roast and offer beans by the area they are sourced from. I have heard dark roasts are commonly used for lower grade beans. At $14 for a 12oz bag, and advertising fresh roasted coffee, this place doesnt quite hold up to my standards for fresh roasted coffee. Otherwise it seemed like a nice coffee shop with a nice staff.

Best coffee in town! If you like good coffee this is your place. I had a capuccino and I cant wait to try other of the different types of coffee they serve. They also have fruit smoothies and shakes. I also had the Sammy Brekafast sandwich. It was good but I expected something more special. Next time Ill try something different! The atmosphere is very nice and quaint with a little touch of tropical vibes. We went on Saturday morning around 10:30 and I was not very busy but youll have to wait if you go earlier. Anyway, the wait will be worth it!

Rio Coco has been the go to place for my friends and I. On wednesday night its open mic night, where some of the patrons and employees get up and preform for the shop. The atmosphere is amazing, with coffee related items across the coffee shop and pictures, paintings, and art all over. The drinks are amazing whether youre going to get a smoothie or a coffee (my favorite is the Joje). The only thing that does turn me away at times is that your order can get expensive and portions on the food is sometimes small. Although this is sometimes and issue, I would say every time Ive been to Rio Coco had been 100% worth it.

This is restaurant is different and not necessarily for me, but neither is Starbucks. Came for a conventional breakfast. Left disappointed. BUT the coffee was great.

Coffee is pretty good with a good variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks. Theres also a good amount of seating in subtly tropical theming.They had a good variety of single origin coffees, including some Ethiopian which I love. But sadly, they didnt quite hit the mark for artisan coffee. They clearly preferred dark coffee. Light roast was even a little dark and they French roasted a Yergacheffee. Pour over wasnt allowed to bloom, then over steeped so it was a little more bitter than it should have been.Overall, most people wont notice these coffee particulars and the mixed coffee drinks were delicious. Plus, they support causes in the developing world so you really cant go wrong by supporting this local business.

Rio Coco is absolutely the best coffee around...but it doesnt end there. Sandwiches are excellent. Perfect spot for lunch....a must visit Vero Beach original.

Skip Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts and come to Rio Coco Cafe.My daughter and I were so happy we looked for a local coffee shop and found this amazing little place. It looks like a warehouse outside but when you go in it is your favourite arty coffe cafe with comfy couches, chairs, bookshelves and a piano for open mic night.The food and coffee have the personal touch in the best possible way.We will be back soon.

I love Rio Coco Beans. Great shop, great (and inexpensive) coffees, tasty baked goods and an awesome place to meet up with friends. My only complaint is how poor the wifi connections are for those of us who meet and have to use the wifi for a small at-the-table presentation. its practically non-existent in the shop area... but step outside and the connection rocks! Do go. I definitely recommend, and read their story or ask someone there about it. Youll want to keep coming back.

What a great place to visit. During my last trip to Vero I came a few times and by far the best coffee I have ever had. The service was the friendliest and most knowledgable around and the menu was wonderful. These folks really really care for you.
