Had a wonderful dive at Mosquito Pier in Vieques, Puerto Rico on March 26, 2021. Tania was so chill, super knowledgeable, helpful and just a delight. Even with the lower visibility, diving between the pylons was AMAZING. Tons of sea life; turtles, lion fish, huge silver tarpons and rays. The murky visibility just added to the mysterious feel of this amazing place. Would definitely go back and dive with Tania again. Thanks for such a great time!!

Myself and a couple friends took a discover scuba class with Tania and it was wonderful. Tania was informative, provided safety training, while making the experience fun for all of us and helping us with any areas we needed practice.We then went on a dive with her and her husband and saw all kinds of wildlife. Large turtles, tarpon, an octopus and an eel! I Would highly recommend Isla Nena Scuba and will dive with them again next time I’m in Vieques!

We had a really nice shore dive with Tanya at Mosquito pier. My husband and I are not advanced divers and we felt very comfortable and safe. Although the visibility wasn’t as good as it can be we saw turtles up close and personal some beautiful fish. Diving by the pylons was very unique.

Tania a was an awesome dive master! She took us to El Faro Patty’s Reefs! She described changes in the reefs ecosystem and we learned a lot about reef ecology. Saw lots of sharks, fish, coral, fans…. Really beautiful dives! I plan on coming back! I highly recommend Isla Nena Scuba!

My son and I just finished our Open Water PADI certification with Tania at Isla Nena Scuba. She was a wonderful, calm, reassuring and knowledgeable instructor that made the process very rewarding. I felt like she did a great job ensuring that the important things you learn in the online PADI training were explained and reinforced but also explained how to handle diving in the real world (where the instruction books make things a bit too black and white). When I struggled to accomplish one of the tests, Tania literally took me by the hand and helped me accomplish the test on my own. Thanks!

Had a great time doing the pier shore dive lead by Tania. Tania was able to add me to the dive last minute and was very friendly and knowledgeable! All of the gear was ready for me when I arrived. We did a two tank dive and each dive was about an hour! Nice fish and and saw a couple of turtles

Tania was amazing! My husband got his open water certification and I went along with him as a refresher course. We had a blast and can’t wait to go diving again with Isla Nena Scuba!

Isla Nena Scuba is the best dive shop in Puerto Rico. I did my open water certification with Arnaud in 2017 and cant recommend him enough as a teacher. Since then I always make sure to put Vieques on my itinerary when I go to Puerto Rico so that I can dive with Isla Nena. Im inspired by their care and concern for the ocean and Vieques community, and I learn so much from diving with them. My boat dive with Tania a few weeks ago was lovely as always. Beautiful wildlife and plenty of time to explore without feeling hurried to get in and out of the water, unlike on other dive tours Ive experienced.

Tania was the bees knees! The perfect amount of professional and fun. The fluo night dive was out of this world! If you ever have a chance to go on one, its a must. The online photos dont serve the fluo dive justice. You have to see it for yourself.

Isla Nena is one of the best divers’ education centre ever! We had the pleasure to have Tania as our instructor. In our group some of us learned Open Water and some of us learned Advance Open Water/Adventure Diver Speciality courses. She was absolutely great — Friendly, professional and firm on teachings! If you make a mistake, you can’t get off the hook easily with her, she will get that repeated until you get it and you understand why it’s important for your safety to understand this! Also, she will call on your bad habits such as using your arms to float rather than BCD and/or your breath. The safety is #1 importance for me and the main reason why I would recommend Isla Nena to anyone my eyes closed!! Here are some of the shots taken when Tania was teaching to us. If you want to have an awesome time, go with Isla Nena — they will teach you, they would provide you what you need from diving equipment to dive computers to booklets to unforgettable amazing deep and shallow dives! This was my first dive in Vieques, and it was an amazing experience. I went with 3 other friends who were not certified divers. While they experienced Discover Scuba with Tania, I went along with Arnaud and enjoyed a 2 tank shore dive. I had to pay a surcharge due to the fact I was the only certified diver during that time but it was totally worth it. I got to see marine life that I had not seen before. Both Arnaud and Tania were extremely friendly and professional. Arnaud gave me a lot of history on Vieques and Mosquito pier. He also gave me a few restaurant recommendations. (Which was extremely appreciated!) I definitely plan on seeing them again for any dive trips I plan to take in Vieques. I feel like I got my moneys worth for sure!!

I had an amazing experience with Isla Nena Scuba getting my PADI open water certification. Tania was very thorough and realistic as an instructor, making sure I was equipped and prepared for all types of dive situations. She is a true dive master and has a great perspective on diving and being in the ocean. Her approach and attitude really set the tone for the type of diver I want to become. The certification at Mosquito Pier is amazing, full of aquatic life to observe. After the certification, I did 6 more dives on another island. I felt very comfortable with my skills. Tania has had a huge impact in instilling in me a level of relaxation and respect for diving. I’m so happy I read reviews and came to learn from her!

Would HIGHLY recommend Isla Nena Scuba to everyone! I worked with Arnaud for my 4 open water referral dives and he was fantastic!!! He took the time to make sure I understood everything perfectly, especially since I had either forgotten or hadnt learned some of the things I needed to know after the confined water dives. He was great to dive with and incredibly knowledgeable - always pointing out cool things along the way on our dive, and debriefing with me after to talk about it. His entire team was highly supportive, took the time to make sure I was being safe, and in general made me feel much more confident in my diving. Thank you Isla Nena Scuba!

WOW!! What an experience. We have been diving all over the world, but this fluoro dive was one of a kind. Tania even called in the local barracuda for a fun surprise visit! It was just myself and my boyfriend and the Isla Nena team so it was a special experience and super private.

Tania and Keith both are amazing. They complement each other and make a great team.Thanks to Tania I was able to accomplish my dives,Which would have been difficult otherwise.

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our scuba dives with Tania and Arnaud. Our first series of dives off Mosquito pier were an ideal dive in shallower water (30 feet) to get reacquainted with diving after time away from scuba. Tania was very helpful in get us adjusted to becoming neutrally buoyant while swimming alongside sea turtles and great schools of fish around the pier. We were ready the following day for two boat dives into 60 feet of water with Arnaud. As we swam along ridges and plateaus of thriving coral, we encountered swarms of fish and saw a moray eel, a spiny lobster and other sea creatures hiding amongst the crevices. It was a very memorable experience that we relive as we look at the many pictures we took. We highly recommend Isla Nena Scuba and look forward to returning to these thriving waters.

I recently did a great 2-tank dive with them at Mosquito Pier. When I emailed them about getting information regarding booking a dive they got back to me right away and were very easy to work with. The guy who led our dive was really nice, fun, and professional. We got to see 3 Hawksbill Turtles which was very exciting. I would definitely recommend picking them if you are looking to dive on Vieques!

Tania was very friendly and accommodating! This was some of our first times diving and she was very helpful. We seen lots of ocean life and had a great dive!

I have gone out with this outfit on two separate occasions. Both times i have been impressed with the operation. Tania is great! She pays attention to all the divers and makes sure you are comfortable and get to see/dive to your level. The groups have been no more than 4 and I like small groups. Whether you dive off Mosquito pier or take a boat dive off the south shore, you will be impressed too!

Open Water with Tania at Isla Nena Scuba was AMAZING! She is brilliant, and we learned and saw so much! I loved every minute. Tania and Arnaud are experts, and incredibly professional. Tania made me feel calm and confident, from a newbie whod never dove before, to a certified open water diver! Cant wait to get my Advanced Open Water with Isla Nena, but before then, Ill be diving with them as often as I can!

Let me say that the tour was so personalized, that I thought it was a private tour (it wasn’t). Arnaud is a teacher at heart and an excellent leader. They went above and beyond with picking us at the airport and dropping us off at the ferry...best professional diver for sure.

Super people. Our family of four did dives with Tania, Arnaud, Keith and Ali over Christmas week. Our original schedule was a bit ambitious. After the first dive they were very honest about assessing our skills and then revising the schedule so that each of us had good experiences at appropriate levels. Phone and email communications were prompt and clear. Their invoicing was easy to understand and easy to pay through PayPal.If we return to Viequez next year we will hire them again.

The Guide and owner was cool AF made me feel comfortable! As a new diver I never had the opportunity to backwards roll I felt like a black james Bond! The thing that truly impressed me is that the group waited for me to make it from the ferry which spoke volumes to what type of operation they was running! Excellent dive instructors and very good equipment. My 12 year old did his open water dives with Arnaud at Mosquito Pier. Arnaud is extremely thorough and will go over every detail required for PADI certification. He is also great to dive with in general. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and an excellent environmental steward. If you dive with Arnaud you will see and learn a lot!
