Davis Car provides exceptional car care! I brought in my 2016 Subaru Outback for a cvt/transmission fluid change on 4/30/21 and they did a phenomenal job. All of the mechanics and staff therr are very knowledgeable and hard workers. The owner Kyle runs a great business and is fairly priced and does a great job. Consider using them as they are a small local business and veteran owned.

I was really impressed with the promptness and professionalism of Davis Car Care. I took my car in because it wouldnt start, and they had it running again very fast. There was some confusion because they didnt realize there were two problems both contributing to the failed start and the second was intermittent and didnt occur while in their care - when I came to pick my car up the first time it still wouldnt start. But they were reasonable about it, and even gave me and wife home, gave me a discount on the further repairs, and had the car working perfectly early the next day. Would recommend.

I had my tirerack.com order shipped to these guys. The tires got to their shop on a Friday afternoon and they installed them on Saturday morning. They even took the time to stow my spare correctly when they could have just tossed it in the back. Very easy to deal with and good communication. This business clearly believes in quality and customer service and I will certainly keep them in mind for any other future auto repair needs.

Convenient and reliable auto service at a fairly reasonable price!

Short story. Was lead to believe the transmission fluid needing replacement in order to replace a pressure gage. $1,200 later I drive the vehicle home. Three days later I see I have a puddle of transmission fluid under the repaired vehicle. Luckily, we drove the other car to Washington D.C. that weekend. Had to take the car back in. Apparently, the person paid to replace the gage which screws into the outside of the transmission and is not located on the inside as represented, did not install the washer. Just a small detail that was overlooked. How did this happen. Did this part which had to be ordered not come with one? I know the old one had one, seeing how I found it with its washer located next to my windshield wiper arm. Another clue, that paying attention to detail does not exist at this establishment. What did I get for being able to take my car back into them, to determine what was wrong after the initial repair. Them stating how good they were to get the vehicles problem determined and back to me within the same day. NEVER AGAIN! I will never again bring any of the families four vehicles there.

My friend referred me here in 2019. I have not gone anywhere else for my car. This last week my 2007 Pontiac Vibe broke down. Blake was so accommodating and kind. He let me have my car towed directly to him and took a look. He is very transparent about any issues and price. He explains exactly what is going on and if you dont entirely understand he takes the time to break it down so you know exactly what needs to be done. After determining that it was time to let my old car go he towed it to where it needed to go for me so that I wasnt scrambling around to do it and made the entire process stress free. They are located 20 Minutes from me and I will continue to take my vehicles here regardless of distance in the area because they take really good care of your vehicles. Joann is also a wonderful kind woman, every time i talk to her in person or over the phone she is very understanding and takes her time to get to know the clients.They are priced extremely well and i believe you pay for what you get. I get top notch service here regardless of the issue i bring to them and they try the hardest they can to make sure they are able to fix what needs to be fixed. If I could give 10 stars I would. Took my 06 Nisan Titan in for a bad Clock Spring and State Safety Inspection. Been here before for other maintenance issues and have always left very satisfied. The personal are top notch and very professional. They listen and are not pushy with unwanted repairs. The prices are very reasonable and repairs are completed in a timely manner. Highly recommended, customer for life.

Joann is always helpful and courteous. They don’t do high pressure add ons but advise and explain why it would be beneficial to get them done. I will always use them for my vehicles.

I am absolutely impressed. Scheduled my appt, showed up on time, got my state inspection, waited in their clean waiting room and was out the door in 45 minutes. I definitely recommend them.

They gave me a 1600 dollar quote to get some front end parts fixed, an alignment and get my truck back on the road........went over to DIY Garage...45 minutes and 37 dollars (yes 37) later my trucks is on the road driving great. Went in for an appointment and told 1 to 1.5 hrs but car wasnt inspected until 2.5 hours later (fairly busy day). Front staff was very warm and friendly and service seemed to be ok. Idk, I guess Ill give them another chance but still a bit irritated by the timeline.

Went in for a vehicle inspection. They said one of my windshield wipers was torn so I had to replace that to pass my inspection. Then, “due to mileage” insisted I need a new engine filter, a/c filter, oil change etc. To a total of $450. How can you recommend any new filters based on mileage instead of looking at them? I just changed my a/c filter on my own, which they would have seen IF THEY ACTUALLY LOOKED. I took the 2 wiper blades, which they automatically charged me for the more expensive set, instead of letting me know I even had a choice between two. Only found out that there was a choice when it was taking over 20 minutes just to switch the whisper blades and they “didn’t have mine” but then said “oh we have them in the cheaper ones” THEN TODAY I TRY MY WIPER BLADES AND ONE OF THEM IS DEFECTIVE! I now have a whole patch of wind shield that doesn’t get touched and is worse than what I started with. WILL NEVER BE BACK.

I have used Davis in the past for state safety inspections and oil changes, but this time, due to a series of medical problems my truck was not used for over six months, so I had them check it out completely. They did a super job and got the truck back to me when promised.They are great! What more do I need to say.

Great shop. Very efficient, fast but took the time to thoroughly diagnose the issues with my car. They explained in plain English what the issue was and how to solve and kept up communication throughout the repair. My car now runs good as new. Will definitely use them in the future.

July 31st 2021 was my first time going to Davis Car Care I got a quote Tires, Brake pads, Rotors and my car air condition system. I had planned to get them taken care of little by little for my inspection I had an appointment with NTB long story short the quote I was given for two front pads was double needless to say I had everything done quickly just incase they made a mistake IM GOOD!

Joane, I believe she is the manager. My cars dust shield came off and it was hanging and touching the ground making a grating sound. I saw their shop and pulled up.It was 80 degree hot.They were busy but Braden ( sorry if i got the name wrong) made time for me to fix it temporarily at no charge . I promised to come back the next day and got it fixed perfectly.We need honest people like them around us. These people are just amazing. They are hard working,will never overcharge you and finish the job in time. If you are looking for any service regarding your car and want it done at a reasonable price without waiting super long, I strongly recommend this place.

I went there with my mother in law bc she was worried she had to change her tires bc the tire pressure warning wouldnt go away. They checked the tires and reset the sensor in about 10-20 min. They provided us with exceptional customer service and didnt charge us or take advantage either

Called ahead of time for an 8:30 appointment dropped the car off at 8, i called at 12:00 to check on the car they haven’t even gotten to it and couldn’t give me an estimate time. Then the worker got rude because i asked what was the purpose of the order of an appointment . Reminder i only needed to get the car diagnosed

They do not price gouge or sabotage like some of the other dealers I have worked with.Best car care customer service I have ever received with frequent phone updates and no costly already installed it moments that remove me from the decision making process and cost me a fortune.Blake specifically takes the time to explain what is going on with my car without being condescending or overly technical.

Called in to schedule an oil change and they were able to get me in right when i needed to be. Everyone was extremely professional and the manager, Blake, kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle. We were in and out very quickly and they even gave my Jeep a clean bill of health. Ive been going to Davis Car Care for about nine months. They got my 1998 Ford F-150 within safety standards in January. This last service was for my 2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca, which weve only had for a few years. This was the first major servicing its had since we owned it, which was a day and half of repairs. Joanne and Blake kept me informed about the repairs needed, the difficulties the Technician was experiencing, and when to expect them to be complete. The respect they give me is priceless. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am to find these guys. My car wouldn’t start after leaving the gym one night and Ben (one of the mechanics) stopped to help me and went out of his way to do so. Had to have my car towed to the shop the next day where Blake and Ben were more than awesome. They truly go above and beyond for their customers. They fixed my car in a timely fashion and didn’t try to rip me off like some do. Honest and caring mechanics are hard to find these days, so glad I found these dudes. Work done: Brake/rotors and inspection -I took my 2001 Mercedes ML320 based on a recommendation from a friend who received service and had recently given them a 5 star review and others who have said they had been satisfied with their service.Joanne was extremely helpful and courteous over the phone prior to the work getting done and in receiving payment prior to service being done. I took my car in later that same day. The next day the job was completed with a failed inspection.The problem came when I noticed the BAS ESP ABS lights were still on, which I thought would go off after I drove it awhile. I looked in my owners manual and saw that it was related to the braking system. I called Davis and told them those lights were still on and Blake at Davis told me to bring it back in and they would check it out.I brought the car in and Joanne was there and said one of the mechanics would take a look while I waited. She made a comment about how payment was made, which I thought was condescending and inappropriate to start, but I just blew it off. I went outside to let my ride know that I was going to wait while they looked at my vehicle since I was told it would not take long.As I was walking back into the shop, the mechanic drove my car into the mechanic bay. Joanne and another gentleman from the shop was looking at my paperwork for repairs done/speaking to me about that, and suddenly the mechanic pops out of my vehicle and yells across the mechanic bay at me asking, was it a red light or an amber light that was on in your car? He was shaking his head angrily at me as he said it so I was shocked and asked what him what he said. He stated that the red light is for the brake and the amber lights were something else. I told him that I looked in the owners manual and it said that the lights I was referring to were related to the brakes and asked if he could ensure that the sensor wires were connected and just take another look to be sure that was not the problem. He refused and slammed my car door.Joanne and the other gentleman at the desk next to me took over the conversation and told me that those lights (and another light unrelated to this incident) were part of the reason for failed inspection and that they needed to do a $124+ diagnostic to determine what it was. They refused to even check my vehicle.My experience over the phone vs. in person leads me to wonder if my appearance had anything to do with the difference in treatment. I didnt understand the anger and rudeness of the mechanic and their refusal to even check it out as theyd promised over the phone. I left a message on their voicemail the night after this happened expressing my concern and disappointment after receiving such rave reviews about their shop. I never received a callback, any acknowledgment or concern from that call. What happened to the good customer service? I wont be taking my car there again. I will let my friend who referred me know what happened and to advise not to go there again and everyone else I know. I spent plenty of money there and planned to spend even more but they lost that from me and people who know and trust my word and opinion on things. Customer service is extremely important in business and you never know who you are talking to, so you should be kind to everyone....Very disappointed in my treatment/service and with Davis Car Centers lack of response. I will never take my car there again and my friend states the same.

We have been bringing our vehicles here since we moved to Va Beach in 2010. Davis has always been trustworthy in letting us know what needs to be taken care of right away and also letting us know what service/maintenance can wait. You always see the same friendly faces in the shop and our cars are always returned clean and vacuumed. Davis Car Care and Tire Center offered fantastic service and provide phenomenal communication throughout the whole process with my vehicle. My car was towed through Aaa and the tow company damaged an additional part (which was 3x the cost of the initial fix!). Blake was very helpful throughout the process, walked me through each step on getting it covered, and even had conversations with the tow company ensuring I was not responsible for the damaged part. After battling with the tow company for over a week, the item was covered and Davis Car Care was able to make the fix and did so immediately and within the same day. I was provided updates throughout the whole process and was given cost estimates up front before anything was fixed. This was the first time I’ve had my vehicle here and I will continue to bring it back from here on out. Definitely a reliable place!

This was the first time I had used Davis Car Care Center but I was extremely pleased with the service. My vehicles shifting mechanism was locked in Park and I had to get it towed into Davis Car Care. They were polite, professional and very efficient. Not only did they identify and fix my problem, but they went over my vehicle from bumper to bumper and told me what they found. It has been a long time since I found anyone as dedicated as they are. Keep up the good work.

AAA towed my truck here after it failed during normal operation. I had never been to Davis before but would return based from this interaction. Everyone I came in contact with was very professional and knew what they were talking about. Upon picking up the truck, they even let me speak to the mechanic Ben about what he found first hand while working on it. That was helpful to me and I got to ask questions directly from the source, which I appreciated. Will return.

Really great experience, I had to have my car towed here due to a flat tire and not having a spare. They didn’t have the tire available but we’re able to get it taken care of by the next day. They were also able to give me a ride to & from which was very helpful. Very easy to deal with and when I had a question regarding the balancing, they came right out & met me before I could even get back to the door ready to answer any questions I had. Would return if I have any care care needs in the future and would recommend to anyone in the area.

The car is 17 years old, needed several item repaired. They contacted before any any repairs they identified that were costly to get approval to perform the work required. We are very pleased at the job performance.

Yesterday I went to 5 places, a full week before the end of the month, starting at 8am, for a state inspection. The vehicle has 3500 miles on it so its pretty simple. None were able to accommodate me, a couple wanted me to leave it overnight. Really? The next day I tried Davis for the first time. They had me in and out in 20 minutes. Service like that for a small thing guarantees that Ill be back for the bigger things as well. Thank you, getting a SI shouldnt be like scheduling a cardiac bypass, which after dealing with Kramer, Firestone and the rest, I thought I was a candidate for.

Im very stubborn when it comes to letting someone else work on my vehicles but occasionally I hit brick walls and I give in. Fortunately, I took my truck to Davis. Very clean and spacious shop with good lighting. Staff were very nice. The mechanic who worked on my truck (Ben) was awesome. Took the time to actually troubleshoot instead of throwing parts at it, saving time and money. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Cannot say enough good things about Davis’. My husband found them when he needed a state inspection done quick as he had forgotten to get it done and couldn’t go to work. They were quick and very professional. Another time, they fixed my window on my Pathfinder. Most recently, they helped fix my son’s 2003 Jeep Wrangler with its issue of leaking coolant, after already changing out the water pump and thermostat ourselves 🤦🏽‍♀️. They fixed the leak, and were done in less than an hour. Have never had bad service from here and the folks are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend their services. We won’t take our cars anywhere else.

I always take my car to Davis. They are honest, work is done accurately, and time estimates are met. In this age of Covid I was very pleased to see at my last visit that everything was done with customer safety in mind. One family or person in the waiting room at a time, with tents outside and industrial size fans to provide relief from the heat. Social distancing rules are enforced. The employees are courteous and they dont try to upsell repairs that arent needed.

Finished 45 minutes sooner than quoted!! Good prices and they dont try to make you get everything fixed that may be wrong with your vehicle.

Took my car to Davis Car Care for a state inspection. I was told that I needed to replace the oil pan gasket. Another shop told me the same thing but they didnt want to risk doing the job because of the way the pan was situated and might make the problem worse. I liked the confidence that Carol (General Manager) and the technician (sorry didnt get his name) at Davis Car Care shown. I was assured that they could do the job and they did. Gave me a ride home while servicing my car and offered to pick me up when the car was ready. Great customer service and a very caring staff.

Vehicle state inspection was completed. Got the car in quickly and inspection was completed within about 30 minutes.

I love this place so much that even when I was in town from Memphis, i still made an effort to utilize them for my car needs. They are so nice and I don’t feel like I’m being price gouged or taken advantage of. This place brings a sense of comfort and i wouldn’t go anywhere else but here.

I do not shop for “cheep”, I shop for quality at a fair price and they deliver. For over 5 years they have had my business. They make practical recommendations, but do not try to up-sell. I respect that.

Very disappointed with the service. My husband took his 2015 Ford Explorer there because it was running poorly. They replaced the turbos for $5500.00. Picked the car up within two days it was running exactly the same as before, Took back and they want another 1000.00 to trouble shoot. Beware they maybe ok for oil changes and inspections but any place that would take your money and not fix the problem is not where you want to take your vehicle.

Blake was incredible. I came in with a super old car from Mississippi. I’m talking a 25 year old Crown Victoria. I needed it to be checked on and see what could be done for it to be safe.Blake made sure I understood everything that was ACTUALLY wrong with the car, and all the things that were just old, needed to be replaced, but could wait until I got it to Mississippi. I’m a woman and I’m always putting my dad on the phone with someone because I’m terrified of getting ripped off. This was not the case here. I won’t take my cars anywhere else from now on.He fixed up everything I needed (called around and got parts to the shop same day for my SUPER old car) and worked hard to get me on the road home same day. Seriously. Incredible service. But more importantly, total transparency and this place gave me solid reason to trust them from now on.

I took my car for an inspection last year...just stopped in. They were busy, but made room for my car and I out in no time. Recently I needed my tires rotated and mentioned I was leaving oil spots in my garage. They put dye in the oil in order to determine where the leak was. I went back a week later znd they found the source of the leak. Because they had to go get the part I needed, it was going to take a couple of hours to get it done. They are very accommodating...even provided me a ride home so I didnt have to wait there. That was awesome. They are very polite, extremely friendly and efficient. The bag of candy that is left in my was a nice bonus. They have my business.

I was desperate to find a place to get my car inspected. Yes I know its after lunch, and the last week of the month. After being turned away by 3 shops in person and calling 6 more I finally got a hold of Davis Car Care. Joanne was so kind to me on the phone and told me to come right in. You never find quality service like this. They inspected my car and even offered to fix the plate that was hanging off my front end. I needed an oil change and they even offered to do that while the clips were being delivered. All of this done in under an hour while i waited, with no appointment. It is rare to find this kind of personal service now a days. Even rarer to be treated so kindly. If you need auto repairs, this is the place to go. 😊

I can’t say enough good things about our experience here! I HATE all car things, and dread worrying if being a female will effect treatment of service. Davis car care and tire were amazing in fixing a pricey issue with my car after it was towed to their shop. Not only were they transparent, honest, but they were beyond kind and wonderful people to deal with. Blake and his team fixed everything overnight and came in under his price estimate. My father has always highly recommended Davis Car Care to me. A few months ago, my father paid for me to have $1700 worth or work done on my 2003 ford expedition there. I then went and had inspection done there. Well a couple days ago, I took my truck in for oil change and a light being on. Was told it was gonna be pulled in and I would know the issue in an hour. Well, I waited 2 hours before I called, no word other than the mechanic just left for lunch. Well...dropped the truck off at 11am, heard nothing back until 5pm. Told $1400 worth of work needed. Leaving there, noticed this clunky sound from the front driver side...almost like something isnt attached right, or like a flat tire sound. Was not making this noise prior. Then, went and had second opinion on the work needed, and after being tested, was told there is no issue with the said problem. Very upset. Did not care for the mechanic at Daves, and come to find out, he was the same mechanic who my sister had issues with her vehicle with. Being told $1400 for work not needed has me extremely heated. After all the business we have been giving here, due to my father Bill Urquhart recommending them to me, I cant say I will be comfortable with returning there again. My truck will be needing checked out for this new sound its making, and I will be speaking directly to the manager on this. But not too happy right now at all.

In and out today in less than 30 min for a state Inspection.The staff is always honest and never overcharges me for repairs. Being a woman, that is very important to me. When I do need repairs they work with me in prioritizing knowing Im on a budget. Im always told thanks for coming in and the waiting room has that comfort of being at home. If you havent been, I would really say you have to check them out. Im a customer that will keep returning. Thanks Davis Car Care.

My sister and I were traveling to Virginia Beach and only ten minutes away when my car unexpectedly died on the freeway. Thanks to AAA, we were towed to Davis Car Care and I cant say enough how thankful I am for their staff! They checked over my car right away and got us back on the road (and to the beach!) in hardly any time at all. They were so nice and helpful, especially for someone from out of town just starting our vacation! Thank you so much!

These guys were clutch in fixing my car. My car had unexpectedly died and I could not get it to turn. Problem is that I’m not local and had to leave. They were kind and quick in getting everything working. Most importantly though, they were honest. I don’t know anything about cars and they could have charged me more without me knowing if something was actually wrong. They were honest with the problem and quick with the fix. I had such an awesome experience at Davis Car Care today! When I walked in, Matt and Theo were very friendly, informative and really went above and beyond to help me. I came in close to an hour before closing but they were able to get the part I needed delivered and put on so quickly!!! They were super genuine, explained everything to me and answered my questions very patiently. I walked out fast, paying less than what I anticipated and with the peace of mind that my vehicle is now safe! I will absolutely be back and I highly recommend them!!!

Davis Car Care saved me tons of money! I wanted a roof rack installed on my 2012 Honda Odyssey and the dealer was going to charge me $850 (parts and labor). The people at Davis researched the parts for me and told me which ones to purchase on Amazon, then I brought my van in and they installed the roof rack in less than 2 hours. They saved me over $400 on the dealer quoted price!! They were also super nice and had a great little spot for the kids and I to hang out while the work was being done. Thanks Davis Car Care!!
