This is the third installation (fog lights, sound system, and security system) I have received for my truck from SoundWave and they have not disappointed me yet. Very professional and quick service time with friendly help when I have questions to ask even months after an install.

I called Steve two days in a row to ask him what another audio place did to my truck and what he would do if I went to them if I had been a customer of there from the start, he was awesomely helpful, polite and professional, hands down they’ve sold me as he went out of his way to contact the store owner that I needed help from the audio place in Hampton put 3inch screws threw my cab in the back that’s rusted, I will always come here to Steve! Every aspect from the initial walk in to the install of my sub was outstanding. Even when I had a last minute cancel of my appt time, they got me in next day. Great work.

SWC did an awesome job installing my new head unit. I was kind of hesitant to use them again because I didnt have the best experience last time, they did a pretty shoddy job with the install and the sales guy lied to me. They have all new people in there now and they are much better. My salesman Steve was super knowledgable and friendly and showed me exactly what I wanted. The install was great not only does it look great but my steering wheel controls work all the time now instead of just when they want to. I couldnt be happier with the job they did this time and will definitely use them in the future for all my car audio needs! Very professional and they do a very nice job on all products, I have had custom led lights and Speakers put in and they are perfect. They also know what they are doing on cars that may not be main stream. (Ex. I have a Tesla and they knew exactly what they can and can’t do to the vehicle)

Reputable and honest car audio installer with integrity that doesnt oversell and wants long term repeat customers, not short term quick profits. They listen to there customers needs and guide them to make informed decisions even when it may cost them a sale for a component that may not really be needed as there other options available.You can get your work done cheaper elsewhere, but in my opinion they are worth the fair labor rates that they charge. It shows in the quality of their installations. Down to the little details of optimum mic placement so flipping down your visor wont interfere with audio pickup and soldering all wire connections as required. They just dont take any shortcuts and just want do it right the first time.You get what you pay for and in this case they are a great price for the value they add to the Car Audio installation process.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They werent pushy at all and really got to the bottom of what my needs were before making recommendations. They also provided various options depending on my budget. It was a great experience and I would definitely go back there and recommend others to do business with them.Update after the job was done 1 November 21. They couldnt make the rearview camera work the way we originally discussed, and we made some changes to the speakers to be installed based on how my vehicle is configured. In the end I was very confused as to how they charged me nearly $700 (minus the refund for the rear speakers and rear view canera) to install a double din and front components plus run some wires to the back of the car for future speakers. Best Buy does these simple installs for a fraction of the cost, so unless youre going for heavy duty equipment, I would go elsewhere.

Looking to replace generic speakers in my Airstream travel trailer. They were able to quickly provide me with speakers that fit.

These guys was very helpful. I recently bought installation merchandise from this shop, but had it installed elsewhere. Not fully understanding of how everything worked properly I returned to the store and the guys fully explained what we was doing wrong and the proper way to install the equipment with no problem and no questions left unanswered. Hands down the best overall experience I’ve had at a business in a LONG time!! The guys that work here are a well oiled machine, super knowledgeable and do phenomenal work.So I was in the market to upgrade my stock system by getting some quotes and visited a couple other shops in the VB area. At best my experience was just ok. Upon arrival, I was not greeted until I got to the counter(Not a big deal but it took 30 minutes). I was told my quote would be to me by the next day( didn’t happen). Went back a few days later for a follow up and only then did I get a quote after I waited another day. Ok I get it. The squeaky wheel gets pushed to the back. But business is business and I got money. So I drove my happy behind to SOUND WAVE CUSTOMS.Walked in the door and was acknowledged and welcomed immediately even though there were 3 clients ahead of me. During my brief wait i was seriously impressed with the amount of displays and different stereo parts i was looking at. And the cleanliness of this shop is unbelievable. When I made it to the counter I had a brief conversation explaining what i was thinking as far as upgrade components. 5 minutes later He had not 1 but 2 different quotes so I could see my options. All the parts were itemized and listed so I could see exactly what I was getting.I decided at that moment to put down a security deposit and scheduled a install date.Dropped my vehicle off the night before the install and these guys had it done the same day!!! 4 mids, 2 highs, two 12’s all JL AUDIO and a TRITON AMP.These boys and this shop get 5 stars all day and I would HIGHLY recommend them over other audio outfits.Pretty work SOUND WAVE CUSTOMS!!!

Great experience with the staff. I called ahead to see if I could purchase replacement remote controllers for an older (14 years old) remote starter/keyless entry system. I was told the items could be purchased. Bought exactly what I needed and Steve was kind enough to quickly program the controllers to the car. The price was more than reasonable for the convenience. The entire transaction was a 10 minute process that was completely pleasant, positive and created a customer that will return for future purchases. Hands down best in the business!!!!! Besides that fact, they are just amazing humans. Ethan (the owner) decided to help us out for free with our nonprofit helping the homeless. He, free of charge, supplied all the equipment and paid for all the labor, to install custom lights and an amazing sound system into a mobile homeless barber shop/shower van! Because of the generous hearts of Ethan and his staff we were able to pull up anywhere, meet a homeless person, turn the led lights on, turn on their favorite music, let them take a shower, cut their hair/beard and make them feel like a human again. Outstanding customer service. These guys went above and beyond to make sure my remote start worked . I purchased the Compustar 7900AS remote start and alarm system. Unfortunately I did not know,I only had one original factory key and the other ones were clones . After seeing the frustration and disappointment I had that I would have to go and purchase another key from the dealership. Dave and management went above and beyond to find a solution with tech support and made it work, without me having to spend anymore money on another key. They have definitely earned a customer for life. Thank you again for all the hard work .

One thing I believe in is great customer service. Sound Wave Customs has that Chick-Fil-A customer service quality, which is top notch. They explained everything in detail to me and kept me informed on every level. Prices are what they are and you get what you pay for, as the saying goes. 20/10 will recommend to friends family and everyone started off with just looking at what subs I wanted to get for my car was pointed in the right direction for what I wanted shown or rather heard demos of what is what ext and finally decided went to schedule a appointment and turned out they had a slot same day and was in and out in about 2 hours sales rep even said hey we might have to charge you a little extra b/c of one of the connectors size before we started the payment process I think that speaks volumes to their customer support if they are willing to be that upfront about a possible issue it shows they have your best interest at heart while waiting looked at other speakers and will definitely be back for that but for the subs I can’t describe how happy iam with the results I was expecting “jiggly” bass with lower quality installations not the case bass is deep and clear as I’m typing this I’m sitting in my car enjoying the sound almost wishing I didn’t have to leave he quality it outstanding from the product to installation customer service in matched I can’t regiment them enough also my friend from work had the save sub system installed on his car and sounds like absolute trash same songs EQ ext he said he will be visiting sound wave soon to correct another businesses work thank you sound wave and your amazing staff I will be back

Great shop, great service, the workers are all super knowledgeable and skilled. Fairly busy shop, but thats okay Id rather use the busy shop who needs to schedule me out a few weeks vs the guy who can get me in right away. Theres probably a reason they are so busy.

They have a Professional team. They had answers for all my questions and have high quality products. Am really happy with my system setup and enjoy it everyday. These guys are awesome!!!! If you have any car audio needs in the Hampton roads area I highly recommend! I blew one of my subs about a week ago and was looking for a new set-up. I walked in, had a conversation about what my amp was capable of and my associate did the rest! He reccommended subs, a box AND explained a little more into detail why my previous system was a failure. I was squeezed into the busy schedule (all I needed were the subs and box wired) and out of there with a new and more capable system. He even took the time to sit in the truck and make sure the sound being produced was quality. Ill be coming here from now on!

I had a very complex issue going on with my 2009 Ford Focus involving a Push to Start system. After speaking with Stephen (the GM) about it, he and his team were able to take a look and did a fantastic job helping me out. Their work was timely performed, all the while of making sure it was cleaned up nicely in the end. Additionally, they even went the extra mile for me to rectify the situation involving my ignition key which was totally unexpected of them! I would recommend Sound Wave Customs to anybody looking to get a professional and courteous job done to their vehicle. I cant thank Stephen and the rest of the guys enough for the job and extra care that they did on my car by cleaning up the mess that was involved in the process! THANKS FELLAS!

These guys put a system in my truck took 6 hours but it was professionally done, I drove 200 hundred miles to have this done well worth it. I recommend these guys for any audio work.

They are very professional and just very likable people there. The guy that installed my stereo was very courteous and extremely professional. He took the time to show me how my stereo worked and I swear it looks as though it came from the factory. I’ve only had one problem and that’s the wire that goes to rear speaker box was hanging down on the street. I was able to just pull it up where the speaker box is located. No harm no fowl. Definitely would go again and would advise my friends also.

This is the best car stereo store in the 757. They have great customer service, the best I have every dealt with. From the time I walked in the door, until the time I picked my car up, hands down the best. Ethan, Andrew, Steve and my installer DJ were just great to work with. I checked out a few others before I ended up in Sound Wave Customs, I am so glad I went down Lynnhaven Parkway that day. I told Ethan what I was looking for and he was great. He did not try an sell me a bunch of stuff I did not need, I told him what I wanted and he showed me a few stereos and was not pushy or made me feel pressured into anything. Great guy to work with. Andrew got me all hooked up and when I picked up my car he took the time to go over all the features and made sure I was comfortable with how to work everything before he would let me leave. Great service, easy to talk to and figure out a good choice. Still rating them 5 stars, but the gentleman who helped me out, after I explained to him that I had never done a sub install myself before, didnt see it necessary to tell me the kit I bought didnt include speaker wire to go from the amp to the sub. But Im not putting that against him as I am equally responsible for not doing the research. Other than that an awesome experience! Cant wait to see how the sub sounds!

Initially impressed then overwhelmed with disappointment. Install went fine, then the problems of rattling and wires not working. Called and they’re booked (even though I spent 6k) kept asking and finally just settled with it as a loss.

SMDH!!! I went to get a price on some things...got a price quote that I liked....MADE A DEPOSIT AND SIGNED PAPERWORK FOR IT....came back on appointment day to drop my car off and noticed the new paperwork her wanted me to signed had a different price on it...the guy wasn’t even going to say anything until I caught it myself...he says “yea the labor should be 2.5 hours instead of 2” and he had to add something else....I then asked for my deposit back...THEY STILL CHARGED ME A RE STOCKING FEE EVEN THO IT WAS THEIR FAULT!!! These people are shady. BEWARE

Outstanding company and service! Wanted to have a remote start installed for my daughter’s 2012 FJ cruiser as a Christmas surprise present, but we only had a window of four hours to install it on Christmas Eve. They were very accommodating. Took the vehicle in at 10:00 AM and they were done with it by 1:PM. Plenty of time to put in the remote start in the original box, wrap it up and place it under the Christmas tree. Our daughter was very surprised on Christmas Day when she opened the remote key’s box and saw that she had the remote system already installed in her “FJ ruined! Thanks to all for making this happen for us!

Purchased the Sony AV-7000 radio and had it installed. SWC did an outstanding job on the install. Even wsnt to the he extent of finding out how circumvent the day-light running lights so the unit would auto-dim. Very happy with the price and the great service. This was the second radio install they have done. Will be back.

We had them add a back-up camera and U-connect Touch screen Sony radio. Excellent work. And they are great support after the install with teaching other members of family how to operate as well. I am a Navy Chief who was moving from the Virginia Beach area and needed some work done ASAP. This was the only shop I could find to install the alarm system with the covid in the area. Giving these people a chance was the best thing that could have happen. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it. True professionals in their craft. This shop did a wonderful job and stands behind their work. In this area, I would not go anywhere else. Good People.

Everyone at Sound Wave Customs, pays attention to the details. They did a fantastic installation, and even cleaned up, or fixed potential wiring issues they found behind the dash, during the installation.

Not good over pricing & labor cost per hour.
