I don’t know where to start with this review, my son is into computers so we recently purchased his first gaming computer, and he decided to do quite a few upgrades to it. He did his research and happened to find East Coast computers. So when my laptop went out I decided to drop it off to them…so while waiting on my laptop I decided to go ahead and get the upgrades installed on my son’s computer. I call in regards to the upgrades he told us to bring them in, when we got there he let us know that it’s something that can be done right then. He goes back and starts working on it, my son is very inquisitive and wanted to watch him work on it. He asks if he could watch him work on it, and without hesitation he told him to come on back. He took his time and explained it as he worked on it, he answered every question he had. My son can talk all day when it comes to technology…so I’m very impressed with his professionalism, and patience. Thank you so much East Coast Computers you definitely live up to every review.

This place was amazing! The technician was very detailed and open with everything he was doing. He was able to fix my husbands gaming computer and make it even better over night. They were of great assistance in helping me get the fasteners I needed to assemble my computer after purchasing the components. for want of a few tiny screws with a fine and uncommon thread pitch unavailable at hardware or big box stores I would have been sunk.

I cant say thank you enough to Lacy. I recently purchased a new HP Pavilion Laptop and it only came with 128GB of memory. I couldnt do anything with that little bit of memory. So, I took my laptop to another computer repair company and he attempted to upgrade the memory but was unsuccessful and suggested I send it back to HP. So, I brought it to East Coast Computers as my Hail Mary before returning it to HP. AND HE DID IT!!! He was able to upgrade my memory to 1TB. I recently replaced my old motherboard and CPU, and due to it being my first time doing it, there were hiccups I wasn’t prepared for. I brought the new motherboard in and the staff showed me things about the motherboard that I didn’t even know about. They were incredibly patient with all my questions, showed me their work stations and invited me to see different setups at their work stations so I could have a better understanding. They gave me some free screws to help me mount my fans in a new configuration, All around incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and informative. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Had a problem with my computer overheating. Since it had a lifetime warranty I called the manufacturer and was told to send the PC back to them. I didnt really care for the idea of shipping the PC back across the county and waiting a month for it to be repaired and sent back. I called East Coast Computers and spoke with Lacy. It was a Saturday and an hour before they closed. I explained my issues and Lacy said he could probably get it fixed if I got up there quickly. He knew exactly what the problem was and recommended a better product than what the manufacturer was going to put in (liquid cooler). He was true to his word. He did indeed install a better product, (one that wont fail in a couple years) got it put in, and sent me home with a chilled computer. Lacy knows his stuff and the next time I want a computer built I wont be going to a faceless company on the internet, Ill be contacting Lacy and have him build me one. Lacy informed me on some of the bad advice the company had given me, like its OK to let your computer run at 100 Celsius. It will shut off if it gets too hot. Glad I found East Coast and Lacy before anything got fried. Thanks Lacy.

First worked with these guys when I was having issues with a newly acquired gaming computer and had fried the motherboard. I was fairly new with computers and had no clue what to do so I contacted many people and these guys had the most affordable pricing as well as offering to work on my computer without me needing to take it out of my apartment. I had a new motherboard and a working gaming pc within a few days. That was two years and have worked with these guys since and will most likely never have anyone else come near my computer. They provide excellent customer service, are genuinely good people to be around, and are clearly knowledgeable about there craft and do it with the utmost professionalism. Lacy is over the TOP INCREDIBLE. In the middle of my game my pc crashed and refused to start up. Lacy took me the next day and allowed me to stay for hours to watch and talk about the entire diagnostic process. After a few hours and sharing lunch he turned my so called “surged motherboard” to life. He literally could not have gone more above and beyond for me and my computer. Not sure how, but managed to completely fry my work computer with a surge from home outlet. considering this happened the weekend after Christmas, I was having huge issues getting anyone to help or give me a timeframe to resolve in less than 2-3 weeks. The East Coast Computers team agreed to meet me on a Saturday afternoon and after explaining the severity and importance of getting the data off the computer, had already found way to access and get to external hard-drive. By Midday Monday they had all my data available for me and I was able to upload on new computer and not miss a beat. In addition, given the extra lengths they went, they could have easily charged me more but didnt and that speaks volumes to me in regards to Character. I would highly recommend them to anyone with Computer issues in the Hampton roads area, Top level all the way around!

Im not one to write a review on something I feel like was forced upon me or asked of me; So this is completely unbiased review.I did this because the service was AMAZING. Normally you have to balance price and service. Lacy, my technician, was very informative and had no problem in explaining every detail. I even asked if i could go through the install with him. Turns out my DIY install of a CPU went horribly wrong. He was quick to let me know what the issue was and even told me it would be done the next day. I told him my PC was my money-maker; my bread and butter. So he offered to have it done that same day! He not only did the work quickly and informatively, but the price didnt destroy my pockets. Great experience! After getting a VR headset for Xmas and realizing that the my computer wouldnt support it. I went to BestBuy to get what I thought it needed but ran into several roadblocks (Propriety Dell non-standard Motherboard/Power supply). After doing some research I realized that I needed to consult someone other than a BestBuy geek. After talking to Lacy for 5 minutes I realized he had the expertise to get me up and running. Overall I was very happy with the quality of work done on my laptop. My port was fried amongst a few other things, which Lacey figured out. There was a slight delay in getting parts in (battery/adapter) but it wasnt their fault . Good customer service. They get my vote!!

Gave some great tips and brought me in the back to explain the process. Will be returning if I ever run into problems. My Ethernet port got fried when lightening hit close to the house. I have used ECC before and was very happy with their work. Called Lacey explained my situation, brought in the pc and in a couple days he had my computer fixed with the new part needed. Great service and prices. I highly recommend them.

I took my laptop in to get the fan fixed so i could work from home. It used to overheat horribly and shut down after about 30 minutes of use but i’ve just completed an 8 hour shift and it didn’t overheat or turn off at all! It stayed very cool the entire time. Would definitely recommend you bring your computer here to get repaired. He listened to my requests about when i needed it done and it was fixed quickly and right on time for me to start work.

I used to Google the answers or work with an on-line tech when I had an issue with my computer, often with little or no results. Since East Coast Computers was referred to me, I feel as though I have found a guardian angel. Not only do they keep my computer updated and running smoothly but also, when something unusual and unexpected occurs, they are johnny-on-the-spot to resolve the problem. They are dependable and reasonably priced and I believe there is no computer problem they cannot fix. UPDATE: If I could, I would add another Gold Star and put Rons name on it. He is so knowledgeable and reliable that I dont know what I would do without his help and counsel.

Oh Arceus. What is there to say about this place and employees. Some of the best people if not the only people you take your pc/laptop to. Very professional, very helpful, very everything. My pc fried multiple time (yes had to build a new one) but when trying to save it, Lacy did everything in his power to get it up and running and for a few hours it ran. Then came today with the new pc, he stayed well past the time closing, sat down with my girlfriend and I and made sure this pc will run. Usually I feel like Im getting gouged or Taken advantage of because I know nothing about computers..But the prices were extremely reasonable and Lacy Hill, who was our technician, was OUTSTANDING! Went to get a computer repaired and he was upfront that the cost to repair wasnt worth it and I should purchase a new one, which I did. Brought in the new one to him to transfer information and he was able to actually install my old old hardware into the new system with no problems and even walked me through the goods and bad of the computer I purchased. Very knowledgeable group in there and treats customers with the up most respect. Definitely will go back anytime I have issues.

Very knowledgeable and friendly! Kept me up to date everyday on what was going on with my newly built desktop that had a blue screen and screen freeze; both are very hard to diagnose with all the components that could have been the issue. If I ever have computer problems again, I would definitely ask for their help.

My 12 year old HDD that I had transplanted into a new build finally bit the dust after making a high pitch squeal for a while and then giving me the blue screen of death. I had a USB drive with the Windows installer on it, and a much smaller capacity ssd, and am usually pretty good about figuring out computers, but for some reason Windows wouldnt load even after I had changed the boot order. I even went as far as to remove the CMOS battery to reset the bios, but no luck. I decided to take it in to this place right down the street, where Lacey quickly informed me that the reason it was not loading was because the dead hard drive was causing issues with the boot process, even though the USB was set first to load. I got a new m.2 1tb ssd to replace the dead hdd and he installed it for me, and had it ready in pretty much a couple hours. Came to get my computer and now with the new hard drive, everything runs like a DREAM! All of the hitching, slowness and stuttering issues are gone. Happy to be supporting a local business like this rather than Amazon.

He had to check but offered to call me back. It was a half hour before close and I thought he would probably get back to me tomorrow. He called back in less than 5 minutes and I was able to stop by and get what I needed! He was very genuine & personable. Im very appreciative of the whole experience.
