This was my first time having an eye exam in my life, (Im 57) and what a painless, easy and great experience.I had been using cheap readers for the past 17 years and have gone from a 1.25 to a 3.25 through the years and my wife finally convinced me to get checked.Not only had my near vision been going but also my distance vision was a little off which I never noticed. Dr. Le was a delight, explaining everything in easy to understand detail and I was prescribed a progressive lens and ordered it through Costco.The difference has been amazing.I highly recommend Beach Eye Care and especially Dr. Le.Super friendly and will answer all of your questions.

This was my first annual visit for my eyes in 20 plus years. Im so happy to have chosen Beach Eye Care after reading reviews and being close in location. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Office was nice and clean w/out a long wait time. I especially enjoyed meeting and talking with Dr. Lee and Emily. Dr.Lee was extremely thourgh and took time to explain everything to me. She even took interest in another family member that I would like to switch over from another practice. Emily was very personable and funny, she didnt make me feel rushed when deciding on a pair of glasses and she has a good eye for which glasses look best on people. I really appreciate everyone making me feel comfortable and explaining everything since its been so long since Ive had an eye exam. I definitely recommend this practice for all youre eye care needs! 10/10 reccomend!

Dr. Wilkins and the staff at the Kemps River location are awesome. This was my sons first eye exam with an optometrist, and they made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Dr. Wilkins and his staff are the best! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I regularly refer people to him because he is so patient, communicates so well, and is super friendly. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Wilkins. I look forward to going to my annual eye exam every year. I’ll be sad whenever he decides to retire but happy for him because he would’ve well earned it!

While the people are great here. The billing is terrible. I paid for a service that wasnt covered by my insurance at the time of the procedure which was absolutely fine. Now I have been receiving bills for months for the same exact service. When you call there is no one, I mean no one to talk to. You get routed to nowhere. Leave messages where they tell you to and no one returns your call. I ended up just paying the bill because it wasnt that much. I will never return here.

The doctor was absolutely wonderful with my daughter who was nervous about the appointment.

The Doctors and the entire staff at this location were wonderful. We attended the grand opening and it was very busy. We were very pleased with our service and treatment. Everyone was very professional and friendly. We received very personal service from everyone and never felt rushed!

I made a mistake and ran out of contacts. I called beach eye care asking for help. They called me back quickly and helped me out to get my contacts re order. They arrived next day and I received a text saying they were in. They even helped and made me an appointment right then for my next contact exam. Thank you for being so quick and helpful and getting my “eyes” back!! First time dealing with them Kempsville office and I’m beyond happy. Thank you!!! 🥳🥳🙌

My doctor was Dr Lee and she was so personable and explained everything to me, and wanted to make sure the meds I was prescribed would be taken care of by my insurance, and if not she gave me the option for over counter meds, definitely will be returning for future appointments!
