I have been to my eye Dr on Virginia Beach blvd 3x and each time was very professional and comfortable I really have to recognize and give big kudos to Holly she’s awesome very patient and informative I lost my glasses went there to get another pair it was sent out but never made it to my residence when I called I spoke with Holly she seemed very concerned and while I was on hold which wasn’t long she she single handily tracked them down if not for her I probably would’ve had to wait another 2 weeks mess up on fed ex part. So Yes Great customer service to Holly
The staff was very helpful and proficient for my son and my eye exams. I appreciated the cost-savings effort also. And being able to schedule a Saturday appointment is the best!!
They were absolutely amazing. Especially Bethany, her service was excellent and was so personable and kind. Thank you all in Virginia Beach. God Bless you :)
I love this place. The Doctor, the employees, everything!
Bethany was amazing!! She was very sweet with my kids and helped get all three of us squared away!!
Their rating should be at least 3 stars. I been going there for about 2-3 years now and it gets better each year. COVID, they keep doors locked so they can sanitize after each customer. It says to call on the door. The staff is friendly & welcoming if you are to them. The doctor dr. Brothers I believe she is a bit quiet yes, but if you ask questions she’ll answer! If you want a bubbly extroverted doctor then she won’t be the one for you, but she’s definitely a sweet lady for sure. I had 1 issue about my glasses never being delivered on time but one of the men there called stores to help me and I received my glasses that following week.1 experience shouldn’t dictate their whole rating. If that’s the case I’d rate them 1 star for my 1 bad experience there over 3 years of going.
I want to start out by saying I read nearly all the reviews for this location the day BEFORE my eye exam. I was hesitant on going but I had lost my glasses and needed a new exam and glasses so I kept my appointment. The day of my appointment I was prepared for bad customer service and rude associates. I should have known better! One person perception should not dictate how you approach a situation. I was greeted by Mike or Michael not sure which one. He was hilarious, but very professional! Holly was AWESOME!!! She took the imaging of my eyes. Bethany was truly AMAZING as well! She ASKED me what I wanted and kept me in my price range! She let me know that my glasses would be mailed out to me and I should receive them in two weeks. THEY ARRIVED TODAY, a whole week early. Basically, I had an AMAZING experience. I want to thank you all and I want to let you know thank you, thank you!! BZ!!!
The front desk and the general manager was nice. However the dr brothers was horrible. I literally had to drag information out of her. She was also rude. I only came there because my eye dr was booked until March and they have a promo you will get free sunglasses if you buy a year supply of contacts.
Everyone here is so pleasant and personable. You can tell they really care about their patients.
Been going here for years. Glasses always promised on time or earlier than promised
The staff was fun but the doctor sucked at communicating and was to quite for my taste. I got my prescription and exam but the glasses are outrageously expensive so I’m buying those online.
I was going to write a long review, but decided not too. I just wanted to know where is the compassion for the person with an expire prescription. Where is the compassion for the person that is still not willing to go to the stores, the Doctors or work.
This woman at the front desk or a receptionist told me to get here in 10 minutes. Then when I told her I would be there in 10 minutes she still said no, you cannot come in; because I was late! This woman does not need to get back to me because I called there the other week and said now I do not have to see you, I now go to the MyEyeDr. run by highly competent staff!
Its really unfortunate that some of these reviews reflect a bad experience. COVID has made things difficult, but MyEyeDr provided an efficient and safe experience. When I arrived, the door was locked, as is their protocol. I quickly read the sign which said to call them before your allotted appointment time to get let in. I was there 5 minutes early, and was allowed to enter shortly (after first getting a temperature check). I had a mask on--but was provided a fresh, disposable one upon entry. Everyone was friendly and professional as you moved through the typical office visit procedure. Dr. Brothers was great as always. She is straight to the point, and answers any and all questions I had. Ive had a lot of eye doctors in the past 15 years, and she is by far my favorite. Also a big shout-out to Bethany, who was super patient with me as I tried on a bunch of glasses (which were then put in a separate tray for sanitizing) and worked through my purchases. Thanks girl! Yall are great, thanks for being open during these difficult times.
I had been having issues with my glasses prescription for awhile so I decided to come here based on most of my facebook friends all recommending this location. I was happy and impressed with how many precautions this location took to ensure both customer & workers safety during covid. The wait was minimal & everyone was super pleasant! The doctor was also very nice & calming, made my appt. better! Finding glasses is always hard for me but Bethany was super awesome & helped me find the best pair and best deal! I paid a decent amount less than I did at my other eye doctor. I overall highly recommend this place to anyone.
Poor customer service. Response to this review states ‘we would like to get more details’ I did attempt to contact the doctor in great detail (twice) but my messages were either intercepted by the office staff or she chose not to respond to me directly. If you want good customer service I recommend Dr. Kenneth Lebow in VA Beach.
I was reminded of my appointment and confirmed twice that I will be there. I arrived 10 minutes early, attempted to open the door and it was locked. The staff inside just looked back at me. I stood there for waiting for a response, but nothing happened. I went back to my vehicle and called and went to a voice mail. I sat there for a moment and watched another person have the same thing happen to them. I was very frustrated as I took a day off from work and made plans so I could be at my appointment.
Let me start by saying that I absolutely love Myeyedr! Ive given them five stars ; because I truly feel that they go above and beyond for all your eyecare needs . The office and the staff are very warm, welcoming, kind and understanding. I would like to mention Michael; who was able to get me in there in a timely manner to get my annual eye exam during the pandemic. I showed up; called for my appointment, Mike the general manager took my temp and gave me a mask. Michael got my pre exam squared away and i was able to see Dr Brothers within minutes. My impression of Michael is that he really does care about the patients coming in and he understands their needs. I wouldnt pay attention to all the negative and rude reviews on here. They are most likely from people who cant get their way, want to pull a fast one, or DONT LISTEN!! I HIGHLY reccomend Myeyedr for your everyday eye care needs. FIVE STARS WOOHOO!😇😇😇🌠🌠🌠⭐⭐⭐
They were very professional and friendly.
Question:can I get my glasses fixed here?
Holly, Tia, MeMe, Michael, Ms. Verna, and Dr. T Brothers all were very pleasant when I went to get my eyes examined. Then when I went back on 11/21/18 to pick up my glasses Holly and the other gentlemen whom was not at my first appointment, they both were very compassionate. I was having a hard time being the day before Thanksgiving. I gratefully appreciate their kind words. I will be back. Thank you so very much Ms. J Walters
Mike Glenn and his office are absolutely terrible don’t answer the phones ever. BEWARE do NOT come here!!!!!!!!! They made a mistake and are not accommodating!!!!!!!
This place is terrible. They only got 1 star because I cant give them a 0.They did not even call me to tell me my glasses came in when they arrived. I waited 3 weeks and ended up just stopping in there only to find out that my glasses had already arrived. When I asked how long ago did they get in and why was I not notified I literally got no reply. Also I have never been charged for a prescription for contact lenses when Im already paying for an eyeglass prescription by any other optometrist in the past, although this place does charge extra for that, plus a $40 fitting fee. Trust me when I say you would be doing better to go anywhere else. The prices are outrageous and service at this place is the worst.
The lens fell out while the clerk was cleaning them. He took them to the back and presumably fixed the problem. They did not fit them to me or make any adjustments whatsoever. They did not replace the nose pads with silicon, as I had asked. When I got them home and took them out of the case, they needed cleaning. The lens fell out again. I will take them elsewhere for proper repair and adjustment. I will never go to MyEyeDr again.
Where do I even begin! The only reason they are getting a 1 star is you can’t give a zero. This has been the most awful experience I have ever had with any so called professional company. I usually use another eyeglass company that makes their lenses on site, but since My Eye dr was closer I figured I’d give them a chance.. I should have looked at the reviews first and saved myself 2 months of headaches.I took both my 14 year old son and my glasses in to get new lenses. We both have basic frames, nothing custom. It took them two tries and several weeks to get my lenses the correct size.My sons lenses they sent out 3 separate times and couldn’t get them even close to the right size to fit his frames. He has now been without his correct lenses for almost 2 months and I have no confidence in the company to actually get the right size lenses.Nobody acts like they know what’s going on or care about the customer. I doubt they have much training if they can’t trace a simple piece of glass to have cut.I finally got them to refund my part of the payment after repeated calls to the corporate customer complaint office. The manager was never working when I called or went in and the one time I did actually talk to him he just offered an $80 credit towards prescription sunglasses.I am done with this circus and am going back to my old eyeglass company. All they offered for my headache outside of refunding my $70 was an $80 credit towards prescription sunglasses, which my son doesn’t even want. I just want my son to be able to see correctly!Worst part is we just changed insurances and they don’t cover vision. So I’m going to have to pay out of pocket for the new lenses. It’s astonishing that this place is still in business after what I’ve experienced and the other reviews I’ve read. Stay away from them.
Went in for my lens to be remade. Was told that it would take a week. A week passed and I called to ask for an update to find out that it would not be done for another week. Another week passed to which I had to call again to which I was told again that it was not gotten to and would have to wait another week (yesterday). Yesterday came along and I called, their response is that its in the mail and would arrive today. Guess what, its not in today and who knows when it would get here. Whats even more upsetting is that there is no communication whatsoever. Rather than being notified of updates each time, I have to physically call and ask.Update: The sunglasses finally came in. I had the lenses remade in the first place because they were not dark enough for me. The representative who had helped me initially told me, yes, we can make them darker but we would have to downgrade you to plastic lenses to which I agreed to. When I go the new glasses, they lenses looked nothing more than fish-eyed and cloudy-colored. I was so unhappy but no one there seemed to care. The option was basically to take it or leave it. I requested for my old lenses to be put back since they would be considered way darker than the new ones. After 10 minutes of waiting I was told that it would need to go back to the lab because the old lenses did not fit in the frame and probably were not the right ones.
Contact prescription was changed and i was given lenses to test for a week. I did not like them, so i was told a different brand to try, but they were out of stock in my rx, so they had to be ordered. Would take a couple days, but i would be called when they came in so i could pick them up. I thought that to be fine. I didnt realize until weeks later that id never been called to pick them up. I did not like the staff at this location. I really liked dr brothers when she was in janaf at National Optometry and wanted to continue seeing her, and have my daughter see her as well. IDK if the change to this location was to her liking, but she seemed a little different. She takes her time and is very thorough every time i see her, so this does not reflect on her. I had mentioned to one of the sales staff that we were not purchasing glasses there (daughter had already picked a pair she wanted elsewhere (that also had better pricing)) but that didnt stop him from helping my daughter assemble a tray of glasses that shed tried on (playing in the mirror - shes 10, i expected shed do that). I told her to put them back because we were not buying glasses there and she did. But as she tried on more glasses, the salesman continued to follow her around and tried to talk me into buying frames. We got our eyes checked, got our prescriptions and aside from going back for my contacts followup have not, and will not return.
Very nice staff very helpful and polite will be coming back of I need and thing verna was a lot of help
My appt was a week ago. The office staff is very professional and knowledgable and the MD I saw seemed very knowledgable. After my exam I felt like the associate was trying desperately to get me to buy from there store, I like to shop around before deciding on where to buy so I told her Id come back. Not to my surprise they did not give me my prescription to take with me. A few days ago I went to go pick up my script and they told me it had not been signed by the MD which is odd bc that shouldve been done as soon as he wrote it. The MD was not in the office so I had to come back. They said theyd email it to me today once the MD was in the office. Im just not used to this kind of run around for something as simple as an eye exam.. I will not be returning
If I could give 0 stars I would. The contacts they gave me gave me an ulcer the very next day. They refuse to give me my prescription without putting my contacts back in, the ones that caused me the ulcer. And then refused to give me a refund for the contact exam.
Well what can I say...except this..I will never go back there again!!....2 people was showing me glasses and they were coming at me so fast with them I couldnt even think ....I felt like I was being bomb barded and they were fast talking and did a profile on me so fast.....I HATE THAT!!...I felt like they was trying to reel me in before I could think or change my mind about anything......They all need training on how to treat a customer when they walk through the door.....they dont even deserve the 1 star that I gave them
Excellent customer service.
