Went to Harbor Freight today. Found many things there that have gone up quite a bit. but their store brands, PITTSBURGH, HARDY, are good quality, and youre not going to find anything less expensive unless you go to a used tool shop. Ive tried there refund policy out a few times and had absolutely no problem getting my money back within 30 days. They didnt even ask me why, they just gave me my money back. I like that. [ They do what they say. ] And in todays world, thats something to brag about . . . ( I WISH THEY WOULD UP THERE SELECTION SOME.)

Harbor Freight Tools is a great place for the average DIY homeowner to buy tools that will be used only occasionally. If you do your research, they have some very affordable tools that can be used consistently for many years. For example, I have an 2014 blue Chicago Electric circular saw thats had a LOT of use in construction and demolition projects. I dont use the HF saw blades, though. Buy more expensive blades at the big box or online. I used HF tools to renovate my last house and they did fine -- everything from compressors, nail guns, hand tools, routers, etc. HF is trying to upscale now, thats why you see a million different brands. Where there was once Chicago Electric and Pneumatic, now you see Bauer and a million others, all owned by HF. The upscale idea may look good on paper but I think its a mistake as its a departure from their basic and quite successful business model. Additionally, none of the power tools have any real warranties, even the upscale and more expensive ones.

You find many types of from manual, electric and cordless tools, accessories, garden stuff and general things for business of trade or just to use at home. They arent expensive name brands, but nonetheless, they are functional tools. They have monthly coupons you can get from the paper they mail home, on their website or app. The Porterville location is conveniently off of highway 190 on Jaye St. past home depot.

They were able to answer questions we asked, the cashier helped us with discounts, the store is tidy.

Best first experience for this particular store. Every employee was extremely kind and helpful while maintaining honesty about their knowledge of the project vs products. There was no pressure to buy the most expensive item. The cashier helped out by finding a coupon for us that saved us money and gave a free protection plan for our purchase. They even used a super cool hydraulic cart that they sell for $260.00 to help me bring my purchase to my car and even helped me load it. Best service.

Found what we needed! 19 x 29 tarp with 20% discount from phone app. But didnt have the 12 × 20 Extra Heavy Duty tarp we also wanted. Good buy still. The ties for the tarp were $1.00 off reg price $2.99 less a buck! Good overall buy.

Great spot to find inexpensive tooling and supplies. I can personally attest to the quality of their sockets. Ive yet to break one and I work in heavy diesel repair.

Line is in middle of store kinda silly not sure of any other store like that line right infront the door when its busy you walk in and have no where to go. I went in to get a steam cleaner for $99.After my neighbor told me she has one that she bought there about 20 years ago & it still works too. It has attachments for steaming just about anything including a floors. They had a cool electric heater that looks like a mini fireplace I would have loved to have gotten, maybe next time. Great prices and long lasting products, what more can you ask for?

Cheap tools, period. Im a big advocate for u get what u pay for. However, not everything has to be the best made tool. If u need a cheap, throwaway item, u really should come by & have a good look-see. Something for all occasions.

I had to exchange a flash light that was free but the battery compartment would not close.. otherwise the employees were nice and helpful. there is a great variety of items :-)

Not all workers are the same, a few of them act like its a bother when you ask questions

Always a great place to visit. With the more modern ways of forming line’s you’re usually able to get in and get out unless theres a huge sale or something happening. The parking can be a little irritating due to the one way setup but they cant control that. Also its in the in n out parking lot so coming from the other side is a must or else youll have to deal with the tire shop and in n outs traffic.

Grate hardware store tools very inexpensive. Get anything you need. I realy recommend it.

Harbor Freight this morning was quite busy and there was enough sales staff on the floor just everyone was busy. There was a long line of customers and only two registers open. No complaints I try to buy as much as I can there prices are always very competitive I almost get everything I need there in one shop. Until I get home and find out that I forgot something. Next time another trip.

Great prices & good selection. Tools are OK. Why do you need to spend BIG MONEY on some tools that you dont use very often. Doesnt make any sense. Great place to find the Oh, by the way stuff........
