Would somebody please explain to my why Apples service is considered so stellar? This location -- admittedly a carbon clone for every other Apple store insofar as service support is concerned -- lives up in providing service on a timescale that has no respect for my time. In the latest visit (just like every other Apple store visit Ive had elsewhere), I had a 1:30pm appointment, was taken to wait at a table at 1:45pm, and finally saw an Apple genius(?) at 1:55pm. I realize Apple thinks they walk on water, but its insulting enough to pay the Apple premium for the devices and the service; its worse to realize they have zero regard for my time.

Whenever we come here, the service is always excellent. Everyone is kind and polite. We are a family full of apple devices, so we do have to stop by a couple times a year, but we have never left with any complaints (which is why I lm giving them the 5 stars)

Every time I need to go into this store I am reminded of this anecdote from 2015 film Steve Jobs:Larry started to explain about some of the places where he thought that he could improve things, but Steve wasnt interested. He continued, You know, Ive been thinking about it. How many people are going to be using the Macintosh? A million? No, more than that. In a few years, I bet five million people will be booting up their Macintoshes at least once a day.Well, lets say you can shave 10 seconds off of the boot time. Multiply that by five million users and thats 50 million seconds, every single day. Over a year, thats probably dozens of lifetimes. So if you make it boot ten seconds faster, youve saved a dozen lives. Thats really worth it, dont you think?Apple can smash billions of transistors on a tinny little chip, but they cant honor their appointment times. I picked up my iphone 13 pro, thinking it might be time to switch from Android, had an appointment but had to wait an hour past my appointment time, just to buy the phone. Apple is more interested in keeping people in line, figuratively, and literally than providing customer service. Now, two weeks later, Im waiting for an appointment to return my iphone. Its glitchy, slow and feels a bit behind the times. Plan at least an extra hour when you visit and be ready to ask, how high? when they say jump. Be honest apple doesnt Care, they use, profit and foster dependency.Rip Steve Jobs, RIP Apple.

I haven’t bought anything at this store per say, but the few times I’ve been I’ve always (for the most part) been greeted with friendliness and great energy from some of the outdoor staff. Want to especially point out one employee, Mike. So friendly, chats with you about the product, offers out of this world service, I’m a first time Macbook purchaser and I felt a sense of loyalty to this specific store because of Mike. He wasn’t afraid of saying he didn’t know something, suggested I get more than one opinion so I could make a decision I felt most right for me. While still being very knowledgeable about what he spoke about. It made me trust him more and want to be serviced by him any other time I went there. To my great disappointment, the day I am ready to purchase they are out of stock of the product I want and if I didn’t need it so urgently, I would order from this store. Some of the outdoor staff could have more energy but thanks Mike!

Came here with an appointment to purchase a phone for my mom. I arrived on time but it was a little busy so I had to wait a bit. Not a problem but worth noting. The manager or floor supervisor type person checked me in and advised I was next but would need to wait for a agent to finish with their current customers. A few minutes passed and the manager came over and apologized for the wait. When our agent came over he introduced himself and thanked us for our patience. I had had a bad experience at an at&t store earlier in the day. The salesperson kept trying to add things on, like home internet & TV, instead of focusing on our reason for coming. So thats why I headed to the apple store. Personally I am not a super apple fan. I dont dislike them Ive owned ipods and macs in the past. I also own an iPad, it was gifted to me though. So I havent spent a lot of time in an apple store. So after my at&t store experience earlier I was pleased with how I was being treated already. I explained our experience trying to upgrade my moms phone and how it became an ordeal and she decided she wanted to buy the phone outright. Miles empathized with our situation and asked a few more questions about color & accessories. She asked for a screen protector and case. This is another impressive thing. Since she was buying an older model Miles said they didnt really have cases for her model unless she wanted clear plastic. He said Amazon had numerous to choose from and suggested her to buy from them. He got the phone and protector my mom paid and Miles set up the phone and protector. Easy peasy no upsetting. Just good customer service. Before we left he thanked us again for being patient and for the purchase. I am impressed.

Worst apple store that I have been to. The apple store employees are very rude especially Chris. I have always ordered my apple products from Amazon or Best Buy and have always gotten great customer service. Well today I decided to try an actual apple store and I got nothing but rude customer service from the employees that I came across at the Walnut Creek apple store. I will never go back. Apple, if you are going to charge premium prices for your products, then you better be prepared to give premium customer service

Horrible customer service! I wouldnt put a rude, gruff person at the door to give the bad news that you cant come in and shop even though the store is empty. I knew what I wanted, didnt need to touch anything, or ask questions yet I was basically told to go away and not politely. I did not know you have to make an appointment to shop, so it would have been nice to explain this politely and tell me how to go about making one, not just saying- you need to do that yourself. There were 18 employees standing around doing NOTHING and not one could help me. The man kept looking past me to make it clear he was done with me, even though there wasnt anyone behind me waiting. I ended up calling customer service who very politely told me the next appointment was in a week. Im glad Apple is doing so well that they can pay 18 people to stand around doing nothing and turn customers away. Maybe put a nice person at the door so you can have a reputation for great customer service instead of just for having over priced products.

I had an Apple iPad two years ago. I want to up date the software but never successful. I have to go to store to ask help.Dcrrick provided very good service to me. He resolved old existing issues, updated new version software, and did extra job for later my convenience: like founding the user guidance and put on the desktop, checking my bettary is health or not, under my permission to delete some thing let iPad runs fast and easier... He straightened out the inside of my iPad, help me a lot. I really appreciate him, Dcrrick!

The original store was the best. Bad experience from day 1... 1. The store seems to be more 1 size fits all approach which is the worst way for apple to present itself. That especially goes for the “Genius Bar”. There really was a time where the “Genius Bar” was impressive, and they actually solvers a problem using their personal knowledge of Apple. For example, iPhone, the battery was defective, was expanding, thus putting pressure on the casing, raising the glass up until it wouldn’t turn on. Raisers the glass so much that you could see inside the phone a bit. Take it in. The “Genious” pretty agrees it’s most likely the battery, if so they will replace it with the same model. Comes back and blames it on the phone being dropped, even claiming 3 or there also agrees he said. This was insane. To wrap Thai up, I go outside open the phone myself, it’s the battery, show him, but now because I opened the phone they would not exchange it? Admitting it’s the battery oddly this debate lasted awhile with no outcome. I take it home, which they warn against if battery is damaged, Buy a battery online, fix it myself, take it over just to prove how bad they are. Before that they did a firmware restart on my phone and i ask to look the computer over. I get it back missing 12 screw and the nvme not screwed in. I could go on and on. It’s a bad store.

Took my iPhone to this store to get fixed and they told me it was unrepairable because something went wrong with the logic board and all I can do is replace the phone for $600. The next day I took it to a cell phone repair shop (geo wireless) and they were able to fix it in less than one hour. All it needed was a new screen, just $160.

Went in for an appt to get a watch. Someone helped me out but I was undecided at first. Then the member went ahead and helped another customer and i was left on my own. Asked 2 other members to helped me out cuz i finally decided what i wanted to get but they told me to sit down and someone will help me but NO ONE bats an eye on me. I got irritated and stopped a member and forced them to get my order for which I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AN HOUR! Really bad service. NEVER AGAIN

I walked into this store on Monday in urgent need for quick help. I was helped by Mike and was given some of the best customer service I have ever received. He was quick, which I had requested, thorough and very helpful. Everyone should learn a thing or two from Mike.He asked me about my business just through simple and casual conversation and informed me of discount opportunities I can get with products because of my business, which is awesome.I really appreciated the service I received, especially that day, and would come all the way back for more service like that!

Today I purchased a laptop with David and I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. Right away I felt comfortable with David as my knowledge with computers isin’t that great and He explained the differences and compared other models for me, recommended by GB and quality etc and stayed with my budget. He did everything perfectly for me and turned out better than expected . He had a pleasant voice, was friendly, professional, genuine. This is an Apple Store I will definitely come to again . This might be the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had at an Apple store. Lots of procedural changes due to COVID-19 but there’s no person or signage or anything giving directions. I’m trying to figure out where to pickup my order that I’ve already paid for and am sent bouncing between the two entrances. No clear explanation what was going on as they took my temperature or what to do after that so I got yelled at for trying to walk inside. Just tell me where to go then! No one is social distancing. Overall, just a lot of concerns that I’ve not experienced elsewhere. Communication and safety are really important right now and this location doesn’t seem to be doing either very well. Order for delivery or check out a different location.

I had the best experience today. Came in with two major issues with my phone and laptop. I was a total walk in. The customer service agent let me know that it would be a 3 1/2 hour wait. I sat and waited for 30 minutes and she figured out a way of getting me in and getting both of my issues addressed. I was in and out within less than an hour. Great customer service team extremely accommodating.

This place can get super busy probably because of its location and service you get but Everytime Ive been there busy or not you always get superb help about your product or whatever questions you might have in regards to apple. You might have to be a little patient and wait in line a bit though especially if you dont have an appointment. The layout is super cool the building is mammoth two large wrap around sides instead of just one mouse box that most other apple stores have. They host a lot of hands on device trainings at this location. I thought I knew a lot about apple devices but after seeing some capabilities I had no clue about blew my mind. This is by far one of my favorite apple locations and by the amount of people there everyone elses as well.

The only way to navigate any Apple Store is to make an appointment! Come prepared for a short wait and be ready for your appointment. The technicians have always been helpful, knowledgeable, personable and patience. You can also order what you need online and pick it up and avoid waiting at all. It just the parking that gets you. There are several garages close by, which is usually wise if you are planning on spending any time there since the street time is limited and the parking enforcement is brutal.Good Luck!!!

Well, today my brand new iphone was supposed to be delivered. I was excited and got a msg saying my order has been shipped and will be delivered by 2:14 pm but a guy came by and did something on his phone and made a u-turn and drive away. Right at that moment, I got another notification saying my order was delivered. The guy never came out of his car. Good thing I have a 24/7 security camera. So I have the footage and vehicle description. I tried to talk to postmates about this to prevent that guy to further scam more people but the agents are totally useless cant even open up order details. I had postmates tracking number and order number. All they told me was to call apple. After 5+ calls and few hours with apple and postmates I decided to go to the apple store which it came from. The manager came outside to talk with me about the incident and he confirmed that my iPhone never came back. And most importantly whats the difference between me picking up from apple store vs postmates driver picking it up. So stupid!

Mixed feelings about this store due to good and poor experiences. I reason for the better rating was the very nice and helpful apple employee Joe. First, the store itself is nice, however don’t bother calling their phone line because no one picks up, after 2 hours on the phone with apple that got me nowhere, I finally made it to the store and Joe turned my night around. Given that this location is moving to the new one across the street, I was told they wouldnt be able to help me should the phone need some fixing or replacements. Since my phone died and wouldnt turn back on, most likely it will need to get replaced. If so, I will need to set an appointment next week. Then was asked, so what do you want to do? So I asked for someone to at least run some diagnosis. Few minutes later, technician met up with me and started the diagnosis. Found out that the phone wouldnt turn back on so something got fried due to various reasons, such as overheating, water, or any other abuse. Unfortunately, I cannot prove to them that I didnt abuse my phone, I am out of luck! And since the 1-year warranty expired a month ago (which I think so convenient to have this problem after the fact), I will need to pay over $300 to get it replaced through them or go to my phone carriers insurance. I was so disappointed for not getting any kind of consideration for this expensive phone! I am done with Apple! I am switching to anything better than this!

They had my money within 5 min of arrival for my appointment (2 iPhone 11 pros), then was to be passed off to someone else for setup. Was told at least twice that they were busy and would need to wait. After about 30 min I was tired of waiting, asked for a bag for my purchases and left. Wound up at a Verizon store for assistance when there was an issue transferring data on my wife’s phone. Apple’s system of one person for purchasing and another for support seems less efficient than the phone store who has one person take you thru the whole process. I will not return to this store.

I drove all the way from Oakland, I had an appointment and I was even 20 minutes early, and now i have to drive back through the tunnel with my malfunctioning laptop. Great store. Staff are super attentive from the moment you walk through the door. Im usually matched up with a sales rep. within 5-10 minutes. The wait for the genius bar isnt too long, but it is an extremely crowded store at all times. Depending on what youre looking for a typically visit here takes anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes. Parking is very limited. The store is easy to notice from afar. Despite the drawbacks this is actually one of the best Apple stores Ive been to.

Yesterday, May 29, 2016, I was blessed to encounter Meek at the Apple Store in the Walnut Creek shopping area. Im thousands of miles away from home and my phone had not been working despite repeated attempts through customer phone support. I walked into the Apple Store a little after 5:00pm. The store was closing at 6:00pm. Meek was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! She was patient, friendly, and efficient. She diagnosed my phones problem quickly, rectified my issue, and I was out of there. I really appreciated the fast and friendly service I received from Meek. I rate businesses based on my interactions with the employees. Meek casted Apple in a positive light after a few not so positive experiences.

Employees dont approach you for help, then if you ask them for help they say you have to wait for an expert. The expert will then put your name on the wait list and after 20min someone will help you. All are pretty rude and just aiming to close a deal instead of answering any questions.

We went in to purchase a mac that my granddaughter would use. The iPhone 6 just came out and the store was like one big party. We told an associate what we needed and in a relatively short period of time we were helped by Maury. This is the closest Apple store I have in my area but have gone in there multiple times for different scenarios. Went in today after I had spoke to technical support through the 1(800) myapple customer service line. Explained to tech support about what had happened. Explained that I dropped my phone in the pool in about 2 feet area for less than 20 seconds. I picked up the phone immediately and put it in rice for a full day. The device did not turn on at all for a couple days. Tech support told me that the phone was IP68 which was splash or water resistant and was 2meters and 30min tested. When I walked in to the store for my appointment today. The rep asked me what I was in for today so I explained and automatically he said they did not do manufacture warranty exchanges for liquid damage at this location. After the manager Amy came to explain that the company did not cover liquid damage for warranty exchanges. I asked her if this was a store policy or company policy. She answered yes they DO NOT do water manufactures warranty for liquid damage. I after showed her reviews about Apple online that a different person had the same situation but in Florida. They did get a manufactures warranty exchange for liquid damage person stating the exact scenario. Amy the manager then stated that with water damage they are grey areas?? I told her I would contact her direct point of contact manager then send a letter to CEO Tim Cook about this matter.

Went to the Apple store this morning to purchase a MacBook Pro and an iPhone6Plus. I have to say that it was a great experience. The store was packed and so there was a small wait but when person was free to help they came right over. The experience was fabulous! My wife and I had questions and needed some clarifications. Our associate, Ashley Nunez, took all the time needed to get all questions answered and to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Her attention to detail and customer service was exemplary.I would return to the store without hesitation and recommend others to do the same.

I have never had a bad experience in this store. A notably good experience was when I brought my 81-year old mother in for her first iPhone purchase. We had very tender, patient, non-condescending care from Erin. I appreciate how she respected my mother and didnt dismiss her concerns as so often, unfortunately, happens with the elderly. For me as a customer Apple store has the highest ratio of dollars to minutes spent in store. I come in and buy what I need. Apparently they’re not able to serve that putting buyers in a long queue.Staff is wearing some black t-shirts so that it gets extremely hard to distinguish them from visitors.

I cracked the screen on my iPhone and made an appointment with this specific Apple store because it repairs cracked screens same day, as stated on the Apple website. I left work early and drove an hour and a half to make my appointment. When I arrived, the associate said they werent going to be able to repair my phone, as they had reached their limit of repairs for the day, and that I could leave my phone overnight or bring it back the next day, neither of which I could do due to the sheer distance and time it takes me to get there. I can understand that they reached their limit of repairs they could make in a day, what I cannot and will not understand is that I wasnt a) warned beforehand, when making the appointment, that this could happen or b) notified once they reached their limit of repairs.

The way this Apple store schedules their repair appointments is very irritating. It’s very irritating because in my experience I had an appointment at 7:40 pm to have my cracked screen repaired(the store knows this because you have to select a reason for appointment) yet when I got to the store I was told they would be unable to fix the screen because it was too close to the store closing(9:00 pm) and that I had two options, 1.) Leave my phone overnight and come retrieve the following morning at 11:00 am (an hour after the store opens for the day) 2.) The store would reserve a screen for up to 5 days and I could come back with no appointment necessary to have the screen fixed... I opted for option 2 and went back the following day and waited 45 minutes for them to fix the screen. I give them a 1 star because I feel they should not schedule repair appointments that late knowing they would be unable to fix a phone and advertise same day repairs. Staff was friendly and informed.

Wow, this Walnut Creek location used to be a 5-star preferred store, but recent visits are proving that customer service and experience has drastically diminished!Last Sunday the wife and I came with an appointment, after checking in we stood as instructed and waited. After waiting 40+ minutes I went to make sure they hadnt forgotten about us, surely enough they did! So we waited another 20+ minutes before someone helped us!That is 1+ hr of waiting WITH an appointment! Service by the tech was good, that is until I called Apple Support and got news of her terrible negligence...So, the wifeys iPhone battery is completely consumed and performing poorly. Diagnosed at the Apple Store, we requested a replacement and they said 2-3 weeks wait time, and theyll notify us when its ready. Its been a week now, I just called Apple Support regarding battery on my own phone; I mentioned the Mrs battery replacement, and how I didnt receive any printout or email confirmation, so I would like to verify were still waiting with purpose. Sure enough, the agent called the retail store directly and they cant find an order for her battery! One week wasted! The phone agent now input another battery replacement reservation and the wait time has now gone to go 2-5 weeks!Effn Apple!?!Walnut Creek needs a serious shake up! Shape up!!

Not a great experience visiting this store.This store used to be a nice store to visit and get the kind of service Apple strives for. if I want Apple hardware, I can order online and have it delivered. I want a local Apple store that is willing to provide service that an online portal cant provide. These guys are missing the point.I think each and everyone of they staff should study and start carrying the Apple credo card with then to remind them of their purpose and goal for being thereAll the best.

I was never actually able to speak by phone with anyone at this location though I called the local number. Wanted to get an estimate for repairing the cable on my Thunderbolt display. Spent an hour on the phone with support. They couldnt help me. They plan to call me back. I plan to recycle it and buy a Dell Monitor.

I think it is crazy they I have to wait a half an hour to Judy drop off a phone to get it repaired,(it took over an hour for the whole process.), Then I thought I would make an appointment to pick up the phone and I have waisted another 1/2 hour trying to set that up. To too it all off they wont tell me if the phone is repairable until I get there.I have better things to do.Apple better figure it out.

Super cool Apple store! It was recently redone and has the new Genius Grove, along with an outdoor wifi area, not to mention the mall itself is a gorgeous outdoor mall! The service is always very respectful and relatively prompt. If it does take a while, just go see a movie, grab lunch at KoJa, or go shopping while you wait!

I dont really know what it is, but the employees here are rude. I live in Walnut Creek and I have been to the previous apple store as well as the new one, and my experience with the new apple store is absolutely unacceptable - and it happened thrice. The employees kind of have a bad attitude (read disdainful), that they treat you in a way that says are you going to buy or not, Ive got other work to do. I bought 2 iPhone X and the experience was like 3 on a scale of 10. They need serious training in handling customers. But they best part was that other customers who were there, too were smiling and asking the same question whats up with his/her attitude. Hope this review is reviewed-upon by someone higher up the management.
