I researched storage places and choose this one. I received my pricing and choose my storage unit. All was fine until I went to sign the contract. There was an added fee for insurance, that I don’t remember being told about. I was fine was that because I understand it is necessary but it was never written down when I was given my pricing. What did upset me was the price written down was less than the price on my contract. When I called about it, the person who gave me the pricing was on vacation for several weeks. The person who did answer my call said there was nothing they could do and the price was what it was on the contract. I asked to speak to the manager and they were on vacation too. I did send an email through the website to the company but never heard back. Since I was in need of the space, I moved my stuff in and everything is fine. I just was disappointed with the lack of concern by the last person I spoke to. Their comment to me was “It is just a few dollars, so close enough.” Well, it is my few dollars over the next year that becomes a few more of my dollars lost.

The staff is great, available ale and super helpful. Cheetie has been especially helpful finding an additional space for us, helping with insurance needs and navigating pricing. The facility is reasonably priced and a great location

This place is a death trap. I was there for more than 10 years with a 10 x 10 unit in the basement of the main building. There are three main issues: in a three story wooden building there are no fire doors on the stairwells, and the stairs themselves are made of thin flimsy wood (they would burn first in a fire trapping anyone who happens to be in the basement or on the second story). The second issue is that the basement units are in a maze of corridors with very few signs indicating where the emergency exits are. It would be nearly impossible to figure out how to get out if the building was filled with smoke. The third issue is that at one point the building was retrofitted with upgrades to prevent a collapse in an earthquake; but unfortunately the upgrade was either botched or just abandoned before it was completed. Please see the attached photo that shows straps that should be attached to the bottom of the beams, but instead are hanging down; the straps are attached correctly in the corridors, but not in the unit I rented.

I’m not usually the type to leave a review but I’ve had so much experience using self storage that I have to give this facility a shout out!The halls and units and grounds are so clean and it’s clear they take the time to make the property presentable and comfortable!On top of that the security from the onsite managers is amazing and truly one of a kind experience in self storage. I was greeted on-site in a reasonable amount of time. Details and expenses were clearly explained. I was unclear on the procedures involving a physical lock for the unit, but was provided a clear and easy solution.

Great location. Very easy access. It is very well kept, including elevator, corridors, steps, bathroom is shiny and updated, too. You can even stop for chitchat with the manager and get a coffee to go. The management is very responsive and provides help and guidance if needed. They are very modern and you can use email/website for communication/online booking, which is a big plus. Unit comes with an alarm system, and if you are not on the premises and if something happens to your unit (e.g. unauthorized entry), then alarm goes off.Tony is very pleasant person and very easy to deal with. Always clean. Open nearly every day except for a few holidays. Not cheap, but its convenient for people in Walnut Creek and nearby.

Its great because each unit has its own security alarm. I never see any garbage or rats. Its very convenient that they have large carts at every entrance. I have rented a storage unit at Security Public Storage for almost a year now. I chose this location because it was close to my house and had the best rates in the area. When I went in to tour the unit, I was greeted by the nicest office staff who were very patient with me when I wanted to check out multiple units. The hallways are very clean and well lit. The check in and out process is very secure and I feel very at ease having my items stored there. The office is responsive and making payments is super easy. The only downside is if you go during a busy time, it’s difficult to find parking that’s not blocking another unit (this is a rare occurrence) and sometimes the carts aren’t near by elevator so I have to drag them over from another location. I’ve had storage units all over California and by far- this one is the best!

Security Storage in Walnut Creek (n. Main Street) has been my best (by far) storage experience ever! I have had things in storage of and on for fifteen years in two different cities, and they are the outstanding.. The staff is very friendly, responsive and helpful. They have gone out of their way when I had trouble remembering my code, etc. The property is clean and comfortable if you have to spend time inside your space or in hallways, sorting or rearranging things. I did twice on very hot days and it was cool inside. I really have peace of mind leaving my stuff in their care.

Of the many storage facilities we have used over the years, Security Public Storage is one of the best. The facility is conveniently located, clean and well lit. Security is top-notch, yet units are easy to access. Carts are readily available to move larger items with ease. The facility is kept very clean and has security access-controlled gate plus many cameras. I feel very secure going there. Staff is on-site and available when needed. It is so much nicer than another place I previously had been using in Oakland.

The personnel is so kind and helpful, also the location has a feature that other locations dont have or I never seen this feature used before, each unit has its own alarm and if your unit door happens to be open and you did not used your gate access code, this will trigger the alarm and the people on site are very responsive. They have a manager on site, also I like the fact that this location have access until 9:00 pm this way I can get to it during the week after work

Security Public Storage in Walnut Creek is an extremely well-run facility. The entire facility is kept clean and they provide carts. Ive never had an issue with the elevators, despite renting a lower level storage unit since 1999. Importantly, the office staff has been very easy to work with.

Security Public Storage has been super helpful during my transition from city life to being a temporary traveler. Auto payments have been really great while Im abroad, its easy to get in touch with them via email, and the storage space is safe and in a great location. They had several rooms available when I came with my moving truck which I was relieved about as I wasnt sure my stuff would fit into the small space I had purchased. Luckily it did and Im very thankful the staff was so kind and helpful!

Storage here is fun, friendly and awesome. Enjoy chatting with Angela and Josh and raiding their candy dish. Very safe, cameras everywhere, motion detectors that are active after-hours. If my garage opens w/o my keying in the entry code an alarm will go off in the office.

Staff is very helpful and provide quick responses. There is only one lane inside the facility and sometimes people will block the entrance during busy hours. Pricing here is better compared to other places for similar unit sizes.

We have had a unit here for almost five years and its been great the whole time. It is extremely secure and well maintained, and you cant beat the location. Communication is always good (like if theyre going to be closed for a holiday they give plenty of notice) and the owners are always friendly and helpful.

Safe, insect and vermin-free, dry. Been there two years and I wouldnt store anywhere else. Love the staff.ZERO STARS It is now three years later and I am retracting my positive review. I found traces of both vermin and insects in my storage when I came to move out. I had signed the required termination of lease papers. I cleared out the unit and cleaned it thoroughly. I left trunks for pickup by the antiques store next door on a dolly in the hall and informed the managers. Instead of seeing that the items went to the new owner, they locked these in my old locker and are charging me full storage, late fees and money for a lock. This is not my property and I made it plain I had vacated . The managers care about nothing but money. When they became managers they have consistently been unfriendly and sometimes outright rude. The facility has gotten dirtier, and if I had to do it again I would never rent here nor tell anyone else to do so

Not only are the managers of the complex incredibly kind and helpful, but so are the other renters! Some of whom have stored here for years. Im sure they are here for many of the same reasons I am. As others have said, the price is a little higher than others but the quality is so much higher. The complex is kept up well with out signs of trash, rodents or bugs. The in-unit lights and carts are so important when moving, organizing and accessing your things..

I love this placed. Ive utilized storage facilities for my business and for personal use for two decades now up and down California and all over Arizona. The new team here is incredible...friendly, honest and they know their property. You ask a question, you get an answer. When you see security, they are doing their job, not texting on a phone. The facility is clean, the lights, elevators and carts ALWAYS work and I feel my belongings are secure behind the functional gate that has a reliable keypad that doesnt break down on a regular basis.

Not a clean place. Filthiest bathroom ever! Theres dried pee on the toilet seat and the trash is overflowing. It was only clean on the day we checked the unit out and rented storage. Since then it appears that theyve stopped keeping the place clean. Floors in the storage area always have gunk and dirt.
