Dr. Glasser is really thorough and attentive (and funny!). I even learned a thing or two about my eyes. Plus he corrected a bad prescription from another provider that had been causing issues.

Dr. Glasser and his staff are excellent! Service is quick and fun and there is a good selection of frames. You get your glasses in about a week. I worked with Kisha who offered me a selection of frames based on my face shape, coloring and preference that were perfect. I didnt have to try on every frame in the office and I got what I wanted. Great location, great and timely service, great and fun staff, street parking and commercial parking within the building - all you need is to catch the elevator up! High-tech office and equipment but not overwhelmingly so. I wished Id found this office sooner!

Went to Dr. Glasser for my first eye exam in ~10 years. It was super quick and thorough, and both the staff members and Dr. Glasser himself were really knowledgeable and nice. In fact, Dr. Glasser answered all my random questions about what he was doing, what it meant for my eyes, how I could change my work habits, etc. This is how every doctor should be!

Dr. Glasser and the staff here are so kind and helpful. They really know what they are doing. They are also more technological advanced than the eye doctor I used to go to before I moved. I especially appreciate the OPmat as an alternative to dialation.

Just moved to DC and needed to find an eye doctor. I used online resources to search for a doctor that had relatively good reviews and decided to give Dr. Glasser a shot. He and his team are fantastic. Very courteous, prompt, knowledgable, and friendly. Not a bad thing to say. I can definitely say I have found my new eye doctor.

Hands down best eye appointment EVER! I have been to several places for eye exams over the years and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. I went in and there was no wait time, I went straight to the back to start the appointment with the assistant. Immediately after I had the exam with Dr. Glasser, he was a pleasure. Patient, understanding, informative. I have always had trouble with double vision and several eye doctors have suggested glasses over the years but Dr. Glasser is the first doctor to explain to me why/how they would help. He was funny, warm, caring and very friendly. I also got an appointment very quickly with him. I cant say enough great things!

Best eye doctor Ive ever been to, particularly for contact lens fitting and care.

Ive been wearing glasses/contacts for several (over 10) years, and have been to my share of optometrists. Dr. Glasser is by far the best I have ever seen (sorry for the pun). He was timely, affable, thourgh, and very knowledgeable. He asked me questions no other optometrist has ever bothered to ask. Additionally his staff was top-notch and a pleasure to work with. Keisha helped me select a new pair of glasses and complete the ordering of everything. I had to pay out-of-pocket for everything (I currently dont have vision insurance), and I felt the prices were reasonable. I plan on returning to Dr. Glasser and his practice.

Friendly staff, a brief wait time to get started; Im pretty sure I waited all of literally one minute between the time the technician left me in the examination chair and Dr. Glasser arrived. He was warm, friendly, efficient and clearly knowledgeable. Working with electronic digital imaging technology daily, I know its limitations and sensitivity to temperature and humidity, among other factors, so I was glad to see Dr. Glasser uses traditional analog examination tools, unlike the highly digitized equipment my last optometrist used; It certainly looks modern, but the newest technology doesnt necessarily equate to best results, which is what brought me to Dr. Glasser in the first place.I couldnt recommend Stephen L. Glasser more. Ive been dealing with eyesight issues for over forty years, and he is the most thorough and up to date optometrist I have ever experienced. I wont be going anywhere else from now on!

Just as a matter of perspective, I have been wearing glasses and contacts for decades now and get an annual exam, regularly. It was my first time at this office. I read the reviews like everyone does these days and it seemed legit.The doctor is good and knows his stuff. The front office is another matter entirely. The office manager upcharged me for services without informing me that these services are not part of a regular annual exam. Then, he tried to upsell me on the frames without telling me what the frames cost. I articulated that these are problems, but he is also tone deaf. On top of it all, they tried to schedule me for another $50 fitting appointment. The fitting part is necessary, but all the nickel-and-diming and hassling is just really annoying.Now we get to the really bad part. I ordered both contacts and new glass lenses. The contacts are fine (hard to mess this part up). But, the lenses are not. I get headaches because the right lens, and this is only in my right lens, has blurred out areas (peripheral distortion) in the bottom corners. Again, I have been wearing glasses for decades, and my vision has been adjusting by +.25 every year, and it has never ever been an issue. And, I have been wearing these glasses for several weeks now, so its not an issue of just getting used to the new lenses. I tried calling and left several messages to schedule to get it fixed. Nothing. Not a peep. Ask yourself if you want to be treated this way. Ask yourself if this is worth all the hassle.

Dr. Glasser has been my opthamologist for several years now. Hes a very dedicated and caring eye Dr. to me as his patient. He truly is a fun and personable doctor. I would recommend him highly. The staff are very pleasant ladies who are very professional and always pleasant and smiling.The office is very nicely set up and the location too is great--considering that I also love to shop in that area (smile)!!! I get fabulous eye glasses (my favorite color is red) and get great compliments from my colleagues here at work!!! So much so that one of my colleagues cannot wait for me to get new ones on my yearly eye exam so that I can give my old ones to send to her native country in Bosnia.Again, if youre looking for top notch service from Dr. Glasser and staff plus the location I say please go there you wont regret it!!!

Dr. Shiyan is as good as it gets.I cant express enough how she is dedicated to making sure your eye exam is quick and painless and your glasses are perfect she pinpoints your focal point perfectly even for people like myself.Im nearly legally blind and Im very special when it comes to focal points on glasses.I cant do bifocals and I cant see through any drugstore reading glasses, so Dr. Shiyan custom made my reading glasses for a great price in designer frames full ones not the half ones that are unattractive and so old lady-like that I can wear over my contacts.Jen the office manager is the most competent and accommodating person Ive ever found in an optometrists office anywhere and Dr. Shiyan is the best ever and Ive lived in countries and different States so that is saying a lot.

One of the most productive and positive experiences I have ever had at a doctors office.

I moved in from out of state and did some research to find the best reviewed doctor in the area. When I found Dr. Glasser I was very excited, and dont get me wrong; the doctor is quite charming. Atleast he was. When it came to ordering my glasses, I specifically asked that my lenses be Essilor since I have only had Essilor lenses for many years now and had no inclination to change. I was assured by the office staff that they would be. Additionally, I wanted a non Luxottica frame and was told by staff that Oliver Peoples was a non Luxottica brand. To my dismay, when my glasses were done I found that the lenses installed were from a different manufacturer than the one we had agreed on and the frame manufacturer was indeed a Luxottica brand even though I was told it wasnt. When I requested that the lenses be changed to Essilor, I was given excuses as to how Essilors prevencia coating could not be placed on aspheric digital lenses. I called my previous doctor and inquired; they said the opposite. The prevencia coating could be placed on aspheric lenses with a prism. When I called Dr. Glassers office back to inform them that it could be done and insist on the Esillor lenses; The facade Dr. Glasser had put up previously simply vanished. He explained to me that if I do not go with the lenses his office chose I can no longer be associated with his office. He also explained that my insurance company will not cover Esillor lenses (which is contrary to what his employee had said; I was told that the closest lab does not carry Esillor lenses, but another lab, slightly farther away does). I requested a refund on out-of-pocket expenses and a copy of the prescription so that I can have my glasses made elsewhere but the doctor barely addressed my request for a refund, shifting the blame to my insurance. He then hung-up. I was extremely polite during the conversation and even asked the doctor how he was at the start of our conversation but he completely ignored me. Very disappointed.*Response: You can deny that I had initially requested an Essilor lens from day one but I did make that request. It is not that I am disregarding your medical opinion, I am simply insisting that the lens be an Essilor one. If you are unwilling to provide that I should have been informed on day one so that I may have the prescription filled elsewhere.
