Just a miserable experience for an oil change that we were told would take :45 minutes to an hour. We arrived just prior to our appointment and finally got our vehicle back two hours and thirty minutes later....for a routine oil change. One of the service reps told me, there must be an engine leak or something because the tech is wiping off the engine while its on the hoist,, but when we got our Terrain back nothing was said about that. I had a good talk with the female service rep about the poor customer service, and she was receptive and pleasant, but none the less the fact remained there were no efforts to update us on the lengthy delay. The male service tech was matter of fact in his less than genuine apology for the delay and really appeared disinterested. The bright spot was the cashier. She was smiling and, although not really involved in our situation, she made an extra effort to be kind and upbeat. She was really great.Never going back and, sadly, we wont be dealing with Holz in any capacity, sales or service, ever again. Just a terrible experience.UPDATE:. (5:45pm) Just had an in-person visit from the Service Manager to our home. Holy cow! Impressive actually as he went out of his way to come to here on his own time to apologize for the uncharacteristic service we received today. Super nice, sincere guy who apologized for our experience. Service Rep we dealt with was new and inexperienced, so that explains a great deal of it. He also explained the long delay and our wait. He really went out of his way to keep our business. The review stands as is, its accurate and truthful, but the service manager did a great job on smoothing things over. Now were reconsidering our stance and overall opinion on Holz. Good job sir !!
Everything was great and well organized. No mistakes and the purchase went very smoothly. I defiantly will go back for my next vehicle. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and never has it been this easy. All staff was friendly and helpful.
Had an appointment for this morning and they still dont have it in to be repaired. I had it towed there early yesterday for them. Saying as its my only vehicle it leaves my kids and wife to walk everywhere.
Service was prompt and Jacie was friendly. Enjoyed touching base with Garrett J while I waited for vehicle to be serviced. Rrb
Not only did my sales person get me into a vehicle that I am extremely happy with she also helped my husband go over his Chevrolet that we bought at another dealership. The other dealership had not gone over some of the options so Jessica at Holz took the time to go over all our questions regarding his vehicle as well as my new one. I have already told anyone looking to go to her, shes amazing.
Very friendly staff that was super helpful.Would have been nice to have a loaner vehicle to save fining a ride into town twice.
Can’t speak for the sales department but as for service I definitely would not take your vehicle here unless the issue is clear cut and requires no diagnosing, and even then I would be hesitant. Every negative review on here is related to the service dept. Took my truck here for the airbag light and a front LED light out. After 2 days of “diagnosing” I was told they would need to replace a clip on a harness and that would fix it. After that didn’t work they thought they would try replacing my instrument cluster. The DTC code was for a faulty airbag sensor and without even checking the sensor they wanted to replace the instrument cluster for $1500?? Is there someone out there who actually falls for that?As for my front led they again “diagnosed” it down to a fuse for my rear tail light which works fine and has absolutely nothing to do with my front led strip. That along with the paperwork from the tech listing the taillight fuse as another fuse made me completely lose confidence in their ability to even fix a windshield wiper. Either they are clueless on what was actually going on (I would have been fine with just being told that truthfully) or they think we are suckers that can be bleed for a little extra money while they endlessly replace working parts hoping to get lucky. So needless to say I paid the $400 for diagnosing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, took my truck back, replaced the sensor myself for $80 and got rid of the light.
Best car buying experience we’ve had, hands-down! Jessica was fantastic through the entire sales process - she listened, was responsive to our needs with a knowledgeable, no-pressure approach. We’re so pleased with our Equinox- thanks Jessica! Closing the deal with Beth was a snap as well! Efficient, friendly and professional vibe in the whole organization
People there were very VERY polite....They understood my issue and fixed it quickly....Ive done business over years and love talking to all of them. In the past I purchased 4-5 vehicles Bernie was awesome salesman. Helped me with the new stuff on the vehicles. Mechanics didnt make me look dumb, they were willing to show me without hesitation. Parts dept went all out for find what I was looking for. Give them ALL raises.....
We took our vehicle there to be fixed and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with giving them exact details of what was happening and when it was happening. To top it off we got it back today and I looked at the service report and they drove it a whole ONE mile to try and figure it out. From Holz to within 6 blocks there and back is no where near where I told them it was happening. Will have to take it somewhere else now and spend more money having someone look at it. I was thinking about buying a truck from there in the future. Not anymore!!!!!!
Everyone at the dealership displayed exceptional customer service skills. Polite, courteous, informative and professional. Brian my sales associate was unbelievable, Beth the financial officer was also extraordinary and Mike the sales manager and Randy another sales associate were both friendly and helpful. They all get an A+. A letter will be forthcoming and will elaborate more about their great customer service skills.
If I could I would give them a 0. I purchased a vehicle 2 months ago check engine light came on within a month of having the vehicle took it in found out it was a sensor also had an oil change done at that time still had some mileage left before needing an oil change. A month after this check engine light came on again told it was a sensor again. When oil was checked was down 3-4 quartz. Went to sales, was told they would see what they could do. Next day they told me they could give me a trade in value about 3,000 less then the loan on it. I will not be going back
Jessica was very friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the vehicles and was very helpful with finding us the car we wanted and needed.
The whole team worked very hard to not only find the exact vehicle I was looking for, but to also give me a great trade in price and a very low interest rate on the new loan. Ive purchased several vehicles at Holz and I have never walked away anything but completely satisfied.
The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. No complaints; just overall good service!
I had an emergency and they got me in right away and took care of my problem. So very grateful.
Didnt find our intermittent problem, so did nothing with my warranty about ready to expire, imagine that
I am very satisfied with your sales dept but service is another story all together! I havent had my car for 5 months and take it in for a look at and they still charged me$200. I wouldnt be so upset if I had had the car for some time but havent had it even 5 months and they couldnt do a curtesy check or something.... I am unhappy!
Everyone involved was friendly and helpful. Never felt pushed to make a decision. Great people!
Very terrible service!! We brought our car for service and they took it over night without telling us ahead of time, also told us there open til 6 on friday when they close at 5. When i picked it up on a Saturday morning i looked in the vehicle they ripped the interior apart and left it like that, and then proceeded to tell me that there too busy with oil changes to put it back together. Ive never thought i would have to see or deal with something like this. Totally unacceptable. In future reference stay away from this place.
Oil change went well although rotated tires and is pulling to the left now. Will be calling to discuss.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. I bought a vehicle from Holz in 2018. 14,000 miles later all 4 tires were bald and I had to replace them. I had to pay 20% plus the full cost of putting them on. Those tires were a 60,000 mile tire. GUESS WHAT???24,000 MILES later AGAIN bald!!! They tell me that their hands were tied. Had to go through Michelin.Oh a good deal he says. Michelin covered 80%.I HAVE TO PAY for the remaining 20% plus putting them on!!330.00 comes out of my pocket. On a car that doesnt have 40,000 miles on it.2 full sets of tires!!!!!!Come on.Way to take ADVANTAGE of an elderly woman!!!My hands arent tied.SOCIALMedia!!
While looking for a new vehicle, I visited several dealerships. Holz was by far the friendliest, most transparent and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Jessica went above and beyond to listen to my requests and did an excellent job helping me navigate thru all the stuff you have to do with smart cars. Well done
I was treated with respect. all questions answered. Jessica made us feel important and explained everything
I have always had such good experiences with Holz. However, this last time was only like I was being pranked. I took my car in to get checked over (check engine light, a/c not working, and oil change). I placed the appointment virtually for 3PM on a Wednesday. When I called Wednesday evening to find out, they advised it would need to be checked on Thursday and that I would have to leave my vehicle. As that was news to me, I scrounged up a vehicle to borrow to get to work and kids to daycare/school. On Thursday, I called in to find status around 3:30 as I still had not heard anything. It was at that time I was advised that they needed a machine from another location as theirs was down to diagnose my check engine light. So they would need the car through Friday as well. Friday morning, I received a phone call and was advised of the charges if they were to do the service. At that time I requested that I pick up my vehicle and would look into that further on my end. I unfortunately do not get off from work until 5PM on Fridays and realized when I came in to pick up my vehicle, the location was closed. I had my partner go in on Saturday morning to pick up the vehicle. My car was never put back together. He brought it home and my glove box in the front was still torn out and sitting on the floor. When I opened the hatch to my SUV, all the plastic surrounding were pulled off, the trunk floor was ripped up and thrown into the back of vehicle. It was a MESS. I called and was advised they they were busy and wouldnt be able to get to it that day. I advised that was unacceptable. I will say that Melissa in the front was a godsend. She was able to have someone come out to my house, grab my car, and had them put it back together. These are the people that dont do this, as weekends are more for oil changes and not vehicle reconstruction. Because of Melissa and the gentleman that picked up the car, they were able to get it back together and even topped off my gas. However, I still find the way the car was left completely unacceptable. But Melissa was NOT to blame and I think she handled this whole situation VERY well. Because of her, I MIGHT think about using the dealership again, but only with the closest eye possible and me sitting there...no surprises.
I was very happy with my experience. I was informed of additional offers available to me but was not pressured to fully commit to them. Unlike many other dealers in the adjacent metropolitan area(s), Holz Watertown has reasonable service fees and does not riddle their contracts with frivolous additional costs. For that reason I avoid those other dealers. The sales staff was very informative and responsive to my needs. Highly recommend.
First off,the service staff was cold and impersonal. The original order called an oil change, tire rotation, etc. Secondly, it took four days to, hopefully, repair the steering gear problem that I was experiencing. There was no reassurance that the problem was resolved. The communication between me and the service staff was almost non existent, unless I called first. Lastly, the day after I picked up the car, the Change Engine Oil Soon light appeared on the dash board. The service writer said that the oil was changed and that he would reset the message. To go back, would have resulted in another 1 hour round trip to the dealer. I decided that Id reset it myself. We will be looking to replace the Buick in the near future and it will not come from Holz Motors.
Be careful when you make purchases here Very disappointed with Gmc Holz I bought laser floor Mats for my 2018 GMC terrain from them and they want you to hold a box for a whole year for the warranty to last up I would advise anyone who is looking to buy floor mats to look somewhere else if you want your warranty to hold Their value or if you wanna hold a box in your position for a whole year! Having so much trouble getting a hold of someone to talk to you seriously about the problem that I’m having with the floor mats in order to it’s a lot of running around send it to this person to that person about the floor mats in July for my birthday and I did not like how my passenger floor mat was not laser fitted correctly and I had so much trouble getting in their parts manager for a couple days of consistently calling them for them to hold their value to stay true to their word they have a great warranty that I put online that says 12 months or 12,000 miles obviously that is not true unless in the fine print in very smart letters where is telling you that you have a whole the box for it to hold his value was planning on buying a couple more items from Gmc And now I’m Definitely planning to go somewhere else And Note that I bought All around floor mats for my SUV And there are not cheap floor mats I would expect better quality and better service from them!
Melissa and Bill make a great team! The whole experience was impressive from the time I dropped my truck off to the time I picked it up. Completely satisfied!!
They made us feel very comfortable. They didnt try to push anything on us. They spent a lot of time with us trying to find the right vehicle.
Great service, only draw back is I need to go back as computer was down to finish the job, and in todays mail I received coupons, which could have save me $50.
Easy to get appt, very pleasant staff, very prompt & efficient!
One afternoon after work I went to Holz Chevrolet Buick in Watertown Wisconsin and just decided to look at newer model vehicles just to see what was out there. A young lady came out her name was Jessica very very friendly and she decided to help me and ask me what I was looking for. Jessica seemed very confident in everything she said which made me feel comfortable and truly believe that she could help me out. Jessica didnt try to sell me a car she sold me an experience if you get my meaning. I drove home in a new car the next day very proud of what I now own. Thanks Jessica you truly made my day that day!
Amazing, the staff was attentive, compassionate, respectful, and kind. They seemed to truly care about me as a person, not just a potential sale. It was easy to feel comfortable and heard. This was the best buying experience for me to date. Unlike other dealerships in the area, I wasnt forced to settle for anything else than what I wanted. Thank you Holz!
I was happy with the service provided to my vehicle but unhappy my brakes were not the online price and that supposedly none of the work was covered under my service agreement I purchased when I bought the vehicle. Seems like I will have spent 2600 dollars for absolutely nothing. I am checking on it more more in depth as I was on vacation since I had the work done.
Do NOT get your vehicle serviced there. I bought a used Equinox at a different place. We started having issues with it and brought it here because it was a Chevy dealership closer to home. We brought it in THREE times. The first, they charged about $100 to look at it and told me nothing was wrong with it but if the lights went back on to bring it in. Lights came back on and I brought it in again. $300 later they said it was a sensor. The lights came back on a third time. Brought it in again. They told me it was something else that was $500. So $900 into this car and the lights came on AGAIN. We took it to Badger Chevy in Lake Mills, who called me back within an hour and told me exactly what was wrong, which was more detailed than anything Holz told me. I ended up spending about $1500 there and told them I now had a new dealership to take my cars to. We have a total of four vehicles at our house and I will be taking all of them to Badger from now on. I spent more money but am satisfied the problem is gone. So Holz, you mightve screwed me out of $900....but I ended up spending $600 somewhere else and they have a customer for life especially when I look to replace my car sometime in the near future. They win.
Very friendly staff and does great job of vehicles
All together very frustrating experience with their service department. My husband already did some diagnostic work before taking it in only for them to tell us the issue was what my husband ruled out, low and behold after parts came that wasn’t the issue, but charged us for parts and labor anyway. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache and $$$.
Jessica did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable.Staff friendly
Brian Kobow made the buying experience effortless.Of all my years buying cars, no one has ever spent the time he did explaining ALL the functions of the car. Excellent job !!!
Very friendly service and accommodated our wishes
We were able to get our new wanted vehicle very quickly, everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. Keep in mind when looking for a vehicle it takes time! Thank you to everyone at Holtz with helping us so efficiently!
Friendly/honest and on time. Great service department even with the addition of Bill H.
Dropping my car off took 40 minutes with an appointment. I was given a car to use for the day which was nice, but I was late to work due to the long drop off time. When I was called about the possible things that were wrong I stated I would call back, which I did. I opted to not fix it at this time but requested a parts quote. When I went to pick my car up there was a mechanic jumping on the window of the service department making faces while I paid for the diagnostic service and the price quote was not given to me. My keys were lost and had to be found. I was told my car was somewhere out in the lot and I had to walk with my child all around the lot to the back of the service department where it sat with the plastic covering draped half on the steering wheel and the back of the seat. It appeared to not be ready for me to pick up. I’ve never had my car left like that elsewhere, nor have had a problem at any other dealership and will not return to this location again.
Drop off / Pick up was fast and easy
If could give a negative star I would. Had car taken in to get inspected because low on oil. We have warranty on the car(not thru holz) and figured it should maybe go to Chevy dealer for the warranty work. Got put down for oil change and tire rotate which was not yet needed. Then got told need sway bar with links, lower control arm bushing, and door lock actuator. $1800 they said we need done in work. I took it to Twisted Metal in Jefferson because I trust them more than a dealership. I would of gone to Twisted first but they dont do oil changes. They do suspension work body work transmission work etc. Justin with twisted metal said that none of that work was needed and even showed us the work that Holz said was needed. Will never return to Holz.
When my car broke down I was towed to the dealership. I spoke to the person at the counter who was very frustrated that I didn’t have an appointment. I will be sure to schedule my next break down for your convenience. I was told that when they could fit my vehicle in they would call me with updates. I never received any calls. I had to call several times. Each time they had new information so it was apparent they just weren’t interested in speaking with me. I was told that I needed a new engine. Upon further inspection and second opinions, it was discovered that I simply needed more coolant. Seeing as how coolant is 15$ and the engine was going to cost me 6k at this location, I went with the coolant option.
Oil change and tire rotate went as planned. Received a free car wash also. However, a service guy came into the waiting room and said I had 6 bad lug nuts and for $13.95 each I could have them installed free. I declined. Then said engine and cabin air filters required changing. I declined. Finally he said my windshield wipers are streaking. I said I had new ones installed 5,000 miles ago at our last oil change. He said Oh well! Never had these types of service items brought up to me in the past. This marketing scheme is not well planned or implemented and I do not like it!Harry
Came in for an oil change car set on the driveway for two days without being moved and the tires were low was late for work.
What a great dealershipFrom our first interaction, being in the last few minutes of their day, never feeling rushed. To the day we bought our truck, treated with respect and treated fairly by knowledgeable, friendly folks.Traveled 2+ hours EACH WAY and would do so again.
Everyone at this dealership is amazing! They made the process enjoyable! They worked hard to help me get into a vehicle! Highly recommend Garrett Juen!
Good initial communication initially however their word is suspect.. Dealership had a vehicle I was interested in. They said it wasnt currently available because it hadnt gone through the inspection process yet. It would be available the next day. They said I would have the first shot at it. I called them the next day and they said the previous day someone made an offer on it
Had to go to the general manger to get in for a lof other wise the soon as i could get in was a week out. the gm did arange for a loaner car so i could drop my car off and pick up when it was done
They were amazing and super helpful, especially since this was our first time financing a car and we are a younger couple. We love our vehicle and cant thank them enough for how helpful they were with getting us a great vehicle at such a fair price.
Sales Team is top notch....however watch out for the service end of things. I purchased a 50K plus truck from them and needed a simple window leak fixed, which was told is covered by warranty . When I took the truck in for an oil change and tire rotation they said that they had to order the window seal and would contact me. Still have not heard Back from them. They did not call stating any delays either...I had to call them, and to Top it all off there is a leveling kit, (block mounted under the strut assembly) which voids warranty work on an axel seal.....TRUCK has 14,000 miles on it!! WOW.
Everyone that I dealt with was very professional.
The service is phenomenal. Brian our sales guy is the best. They stand by the cars they sell. If you have any problems they take care of it. If I could give them more stars I would.
When asking about a truck I had a truck in mind I was looking to buy. A standard cab and half 1500 white or silver truck. I wanted to know when they had something like that in as I was very interested. I called twice with the request and never got a call back from them. I took my business elsewhere even though less convenient for me.My wife was unaware of my experience and wanted an estimate for windshield washer pump remove and install. They gave her an $800+ estimate and it cost her $100 to get the estimate. I decided I will fix it myself. I called the dealer I work with and they said I could get the part for $50 so I asked what it would cost to replace it and they said $135. We took her car to that dealer. If you are looking for a good dealer to work with and will take care of you after the sale and save time and money work with Burtness Chevrolet in Whitewater, you will be glad you did.
Holz has been fantastic in fixing our Pontiac G8! We purchased from a less reputable dealer and it came to us with a world of problems. Though I think we all got a little frustrated with this problematic vehicle, Holz incredible mechanic was able to find the root of the issues and get everything fixed! Moving forward, there is nobody else I would trust to work on my vehicle like I trust Holz (though they are probably more than tired of looking at this car!)... If I could change one thing to help them improve their business/customer relationship, I would ask them to reconsider the diagnostic fees. I can see charging the $89 if it was a shot in the dark, but simply scanning codes or hitting an unlock button to see that a door lock doesnt work doesnt warrant that fee, in my opinion. Regardless, we are extremely satisfied with the work we received and will recommend Holz to everyone!
Josef Locke Klein made buying a new car a smooth, easy decision. He answered all my questions and found me an amazing car in my price range. I have had the car for 6 months now and have had no issues. He was not only available to me before and during my decision to purchase my vehicle was made, but has remained available to me for any of the follow up questions I have had. I would highly recommend speaking with him if you are thinking about getting a new car!
Just leaving for a highway trip when I discovered my right front tire was going flat. Thanks to Emily & Mike, I was worked right in & left for my trip (pretty much) on time. THANKS AGAIN!
My first experience with leasing a car was great! I was very impressed with the expertise and proficiency of specifically, Bernie & Shawn.Bernie led me through picking out the car that fit my needs & budget the best and answered any and every question that could have possibly been asked. Shawn walked me through every step regarding payments/cost of the lease. They both made the process as simple & easy as it could be.I even got a follow up message from Bernie making sure everything was suiting my needs and working out with the car.Im very happy with my 2014 Chevy Cruze & will definitely recommend to anyone buying/leasing a car to go see Bernie at Holz!
Fast, friendly and timely service
Parts department is the worst . Ordered mud flaps for new Blazer. They called that they are in . Great, drive to dealership and they cant find them. This isnt the first time I order parts and the same thing happened. Im done with this dealership they are the worst at service and parts.
Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient
The ladies at the service area are very professional and efficient, with great senses of humor about the big Larry. Sort of an inside joke. Troy was excellent at diagnosing the problem with the car. I believe he was thorough and correct in his diagnosis and look forward to the repair being made. I cannot rate the price as of yet since we had to order the part, but if I know this company it will be a reasonable price. Thank you also to Steve for covering the diagnostic fee on my car purchase. Will certainly recommend Holz to anyone. This is my 2nd car purchase from them and I have always been treated well. Thanks to everyone.
It was great as always. They were ready for me at the appointment time. The waiting room was very clean and welcoming. No complaints at all.
If you own a GM vehicle, but you didnt buy it from them, they wont help you.
As always, Holz Service Dept did an excellent job start to finish.Great help from advisor Melissa at the counter deciding what services I needed. Thanks
I have had several experiences in the last few months with Holz (specifically Josef Locke Klein) and they have all been amazing! So far we (my somewhat extended family) have bought three cars through them recently and they have been nothing but helpful for us. We plan on getting another car through them in the next year as well. I would highly recommend buying a car through Holz!
Was a very easy, stress free purchase. Josef, Bernie, and Sean all did an awesome job. provided an awesome used car. The experience couldnt have been any better. would definitely buy from them again.
I bought a used vehicle from Josef. He did a great job and was very honest. I felt that he was upfront about every aspect of the vehicle including the faults and he didnt pressure me at all. I feel I paid a fair price. He even delivered the vehicle to my house.
They werent pushy with us when we bought our car. Very nice people. Pretty show room. Offered drinks while we waited. I would recommend them with no reservations and would buy from them again.
I had a great experience at Holz Motors. Bernie was awesome! He was patient, kind, and listened to what I had to say and helped find the pefect vehicle where i would feel safe & comfortable. I test drove so many vehicles before deciding on a Chevy Silverado. The finance rep (Shaun?) was great to work with in helping to find a loan that help fit my budget and took the time to explain everything I was signing.
The best place in town to buy or lease a new car or truck. We have been dealing with them for many years and plan on doing the same for years to come. Great people, great deals.
Fast and efficient. Went in for, air bag & seat belt tentioner/non deploy recall. In and out very quickly.
Just got a new Cadillac, no pressure, and a great price Joseph and Randy and Tony are a great team to work with they went beyond the call of duty to find the car in the color my wife wanted at a great price. ..happy wife. .happy life.
Great service and friendly staff. Service was done in a timely manner and everything was explained too me as to what was done.
Never knew about this dealer until my cars oil filter seal failed and my engine seized and my car was towed there and they found the issue and contacted the warranty place and did all the work and got my car back up and running.
Awesome Service Department! Great People! Great Snacks in the Customer Lounge!
LEFT PLASTIC IN VEHICLEGIRL FRIEND JUST BOUGHT VEHICLE AND COULD NOT EVEN FILL GAS TANKLASTING IMPRESSION
My husband and I just moved to the area with no friends or family close by to help us out with the vehicles. Our 2015 chevy silverado we purchased a year ago needed oil changes and regular scheduled maintenance, we have brought it to Holz everytime. We did not hear good things word of mouth about an Oconomowoc chevy service center. We decided on Holz. Let me tell you everytime we have brought it in they meticulously checked it top to bottom. I have a horse so my truck needs to be running in tip top shape. After hauling we brought it in for maintenance come to find out after their check there was an issue with the axel. Turned out to be a factory issue. They were prompt to let me know what was going on and knew always what is covered under the warranties. They never were pulling me around. They are always friendly and quickly help out with a ride home or loaner. (The young man with the curly hair that gives you a ride is the nicest cannot say enough good things about that gentlemen)Multiple times they have finished what they needed to that day and have quickly picked me back up from my house when my truck was ready to go. With more detailed fixes I will say time is not their strong suit. However out of my many experiences with dealing with dealerships service regular mom pop mechanics I have never had the same issue occur after their fix and its always running better than when I dropped it off. I have never called back to say something still is not right! That says the time they spent working on it was needed and they always do a great job and work within the budget to get it done. Holz service is up front honest and we will not be going anywhere else!
I am pleased to have worked with Brian Kobow and Mitch at Holz. They took good care of me and helped me find a car that met the needs of our family. They were both friendly, attentive, and knowledge. They showed commitment to the customer and I plan to visit them when our next vehicle needs to be replaced.
It is my opinion that Holtz Motors of Watertown is Over price on service doesnt Guarantee their work and doesnt really care about their Customers.$2800.00 later and a great company as J&L Tires figures out the problem with my AC within 2 hours and doesnt force me into changing part Immediately, like Holtz would do. ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR Vehicle is your lifeline and make sure you have the right people fixing your car lives are dependent on that.
We gave their service department another chance after having poor customer service in the past, clearly a mistake. We live right in town and figured it would be more convienent. This time around we had worse service than last time. There was serious lack of communications, no return calls when calls were promised, (this happened 4 times) False information in regards to warranty coverage was provided to us. We were very disappointed with the time it took (weeks) for them to tell us what was wrong, order the part, and tell us it was covered under an extended warranty we purchased, in turn to tell us the day of service it was not covered. I was not at all impressed with their customer service professionalism in general. We will no longer be going here for any work, driving to Waukesha is more of a hike for us, but it is well worth it for the over all better service we receive at a seperate Chevy dealership. Super sad considering we bought the vehicle from Holz. Last time that will occur as well!
Was Great
AT HOLZ CHEVROLET THE SALES DEPT. PEOPLE ARE GREAT . GREAT DEALS . HOWEVER THERE SERVICE DEPT SUCKS.MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT 9:00AM CAME BACK AT 12:15 PM STILL NEVER BEEN TOUCHED . GRABBED THE KEYS AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT COUNTRYSIDE CHEVROLET, THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 30 MINUTES AND NOT ALL MORNING,TIME IS MONEY PEOPLE.WE WOULD PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM HOLZ BUT WOULD NOT LET THEM SERVICE IT .
Cant speak to the Dealership Sales Team this review doesnt reflect on them but do not service the vehicle here. Do not go here for any electrical diagnostics. I wasnt going to leave a review here until I realized there may not have been any work done after being Charged! If I could give a lower review I would. This Service Shop needs to be educated in how to truly service a vehicle and not service a vehicle for profit. I took my GMC Sierra in for electrical issues (Service Stabilitrak, Service Trailer brake, and other intermittent service pop up on dash ) which I know are tricky to diagnose. They stated if it was caused by one problem they would only charge me the one diagnostic cost.... They only fixed one thing (Service Trailer Brake) being the fact that they said the found a frayed wire and fixed it... I still got charged 2 diagnostic fees and service for the wire. I took it home and immediately still had the same problem pop on the way home plus even more problems. Took it back and it turns out they didnt connect the battery cables correctly on the truck.... Big oops on there part but no apology was given or discount. Now I still have the problem on my truck and definitely didnt want to take it back to a place that is so absent minded that they forgot to put battery cables back on for an electrical problem (what else would they forget while doing electrical diagnostics!) ... I took it to our local shop in and they truly looked for a solution and tested all ground points and cables rather than performing a patch job of just paying for new sensors for everything that was popping (which was recommended by Holz but would have solved nothing). They found out the problem as well as followed the wire that was supposedly fixed by them . My mechanic that touched every wire in the system to find the problem stated there was no splice or any evidence that the stated wire was even touched. Maybe it was a bad day for the mechanics but own up to your mistakes and correct them. Dont send me home with a massive bill for a truck you didnt truly find a solution for and then the solution u did find there is no evidence that you even performed. I understand mistakes are made I was just offended by them not charging us correctly or even apologizing for there ineptitude. All Trust in the service department hear is lost!
Had a great experience working with Jessica. Found the truck I wanted drove it home a couple days later!
I Dont suggest going to this dealership for service... In short everything that couldve went wrong did. The from the lack of communication and fact that i had to call them multiple times to get information on future repair/parts being ordered etc. No one ever called me and at the end of the day everyone had an attitude when I talked to them. Which in customer service, should never exist period!...
Called for a oil change dropped of my car off at 5:15 am and was done by 9am and the also the tire rotation was done great job very pleased keep up the great work
Was told that it would take an hour and a half to fix my GMC Yukon, but it took 5 1/2 hours. Was not asked how I was going to get home or if I had a ride. I waited over 40 minutes for for an update in the waiting room only to find out that they called my husband instead of me and said it would be another two hours on top of the three hours I already had waited . I was just glad it wasnt snowing because I had to walk a lot. I wasted my whole day waiting for my car with no end in sight. I had to call my husband home from Milwaukee to come and get me so one of us could pick our daughter from school. The whole experience did not make me feel like I was a priority, which I should have been based on the amount I spent. I will never use Holz GM service again.
I have been using Holz service for years. Their great service is one reason I chose to purchase my 2017 Tahoe at Holz dealership.
I like this place. They have great customer service, and they dont try to rip you off. Only issue I have is that they charge $100 just to diagnosis a problem. Id go to them for my car problems, but I hate this.
So maybe this is a heat of the moment review but its frustrating to buy a used car for $13000 and then have problems 4 months in. The buying experience was good, friendly helpful staff, but 4 months in my transmission mount broke and when i asked if it was covered i got the thats what the extended warrenty is for. Fixed the mount myself and now my car shakes all the time and i dont know why. Not even 6 months into owning my car and im already having issues. I feel i should be able to purchase a vehicle and not have to worry that my $13000 investment will break down a few months later. Dont now what it will cost to fix but im not taking it back to holtz thats for sure.
Dont go charge an EV car there! They have one charger its a 3 kilowatt level 2 charger that takes forever. It is not a charge point or FEE Based Charger so Holtz feels Ripped off. Even if they let you use it. If you go charge there you will need to be there a long time if your headed back to Madison or Milwaukee or points beyond. Then you will get yelled at or have a nasty note like I did and never set foot on their property again. With friends like Holtz who wants to buy a Chevrolet or Buick or GMC? I have seen too many angry comments on the Plug Share App for them to be identified as a charging station.
I was given a loaner car and told my car would be done by the end of the day, at 5 pm I called to check status, was told service dept was closed so I called in the morning, Saturday, and was told there wasnt a tech there to work on my car nor were the parts there anyway. Why didnt anyone call me? Why didnt they say that Friday? They had made the appt after the parts arrived? The car wasnt ready til Tues, they replaced 3 parts for the same problem?! I questioned it only to be told I basically dont know anything. 3 months later the brake light switch they replaced for a ABS light (?) failed, luckily the tech left the old one on the floor and I saved it. I reinstalled it and it works fine?!
Has my car in for service and they came up with a 1700.00 quote for service. Which included brakes and rotors and a leaking hose. Also a crank seal and pvc valve and the oil pan was leaking. All this on a 6 year old car ! The oil pan was sealed once already by holtz after complaining they agreed to fix that for $100.00 I had the crank seal and pvc valve done and took the car to another shop to get a 2nd opinion. The second shop said the brakes were at 50% and didn’t need replacing. Also the hose wasn’t leaking but just residual oil from the engine leak.
My wife and I recently purchased a used vehicle from Josef Klein at Holz. Josef was great throughout the process and went out of his way to inspect the vehicle and send me pictures prior to us making a long drive to see it. His honesty and extra effort made it a great experience for us.
