Used to be good, but now they love to jack up the prices on certain foods especially in the meat section. Cashiers are useless except for a few good ones, a young gentleman who is always friendly and will open a register when hes working also a older female cashier when she is on is always friendly, plus a couple other female cashiers, but the rest forget them, they will NEVER call for backup when they have a line of customers that keeps growing, plus dont bother to show any courtesy to you.

Becoming favorite grocery store. Better prices. I take my SUV with carrier for power scooter and use that to shop. They only have 1 power cart.

I usually only stop if I need a couple things and dont want to go across town. I would go more often but standing in line with up to 6-7 other people all waiting for the 1, yes 1 cashier to finally get to you is like waiting for oil based paint to dry👎

Good food good price

The clerk rang in the wrong amount for my produce. Hey, okay, accidents happen. The telltale sign is how a problem is handled. The person who came to fix the price had a lousy attitude. She immediately was rude and snotty. When I told her that it wasnt needed, she became worse, both with me and the clerk. After trying to fix it repeatedly, she still came up with the wrong number. Usually by this point, I would say just forget it, but not today, not considering her attitude. She never did get the register right, after multiple tries. Eventually she gave me my correct change and stormed off. My friend, who was in the store for the first time, remarked it was decidedly the last.

Great meat and food prices

The store has plenty of parking, and all of the basics you might need from a grocery store. Vegetables, dairy/eggs,and meats. Plus the prices arent bad either. Just make sure you look closely at the labels for their store brand Corned Beef Hash and other store brand pre-packaged products. Some of them contain Trans-Fats.

If you are frugal and are ok with off brands its the only place to shop in Watertown. Make sure you have a rock crawler or a heavy off road package cause that parking lot is like an ORV park.

Its typical of NY economy. They provide what they want you to buy not what you desire. Plus the pricing on most items is expensive. Its less expensive to buy from sources like Amazon or Ebay. Just have to aware of quality.

The largest Save-A-Lot Ive been to, which means theres plenty of room to maneuver around other customers. The selection is good, the prices are great, and the staff are very nice.

Good store, great prices, meat selection is good. The only drawback for some people would be location. Its on the opposite side of town from all the rest of the stores.

The staff are extremely unfriendly with the exception of a few. Walmart is cheaper. Waste of time. If you own a car go to Walmart

This is my first stop when food shopping. They usually have really good meat specials and with meat being so expensive, its good to start there. I have a chest freezer so I stock up. Plus there are good bargains on name brand cereal and there is a 5 for 19.99 section in the freezer which is good for things like fries, waffles ect.

I normally dont shop here, but it was a calm place to shop. Pricing wasnt bad on the items they had available. Friendly staff when I had questions about certain items. A little bit of a mess due to them having truck and they were restocking their shelves, over all it was a good visit.

I like Save a Lot for its prices on some items that they sell, a lot of the generic brands of food and drinks they sell taste just as good as the big names they are copying. That is the reason for the 3 stars, however the help need to work on their people skills, also only 1 register opened is not good. Charging for shopping bags is also not good either, but I bring my own bags,so what can you do. Also I didnt like it today that a Cashier was calling me out as a liar, I used my Food stamps card, typed it into the card reader that it was for Food stamps and not Cash, but she claims I didnt do that! I said, Thats your fault cause I did punch the button for Food stamps! My Cousin even witnessed this as well, so I did it again the same way and I said Worked that time now didnt it?! Cashier had no answer.

Depends on what you go there for whether its worth it to go. A lot of the stuff you can find equal to or cheaper at other stores. But if you are going for a couple things and its close to you than try them out.

I dont like the one in Watertown anywhere near as much as I like the one in Gouverneur, N.Y.. The one in Watertown the prices are higher, and they dont carry the same deals, and it is no where near as Friendly. So I prefer Gouverneur. But it is a long drive from Here to there.
