Extremely rude manager at the Arsenal St. location. Tried to return something WITH the receipt that was purchased less than 24 hours previously from a different Dollar General. He said he wouldnt accept the return because he had no where in his store for the items & told me to drive over an hour to the other Dollar General that I purchased it at. WOW, I contacted Dollar General immediately while I was still in the parking lot and they said Merchandise can be returned to any Dollar General location, except for alcoholic beverages and perishables purchased at a Market store. which I had neither of those items. So, I filed a complaint with them against him. Too bad he thinks this Dollar General is actually his store that he owns and he can make the rules up. Will never go back to this store.

I mean, a Dollar General is a Dollar General my dude. Lowkey, the best place to go for some cheap snacks and a plunger or something when youre in a rush.

Dylan was the best! Super pleasant sociable & overall best customer service 10 out of 10 for me I had just come off of work and he made my last stop of the day great!

The place was better stocked them Im used to and tge staff was exceptionally polite and helpful.

The employee named Jackie needs to slow her role about people coming in the store with or without a mask. I have a disabled child andJackie seems to make it her business to chase my nonverbal son around the store stating that he needs a mask or we have to leave the store. Theres an article of the law article 202.18 that states if wearing a face covering inhibits such Individuals with disabilities and they cant handle it they are Not required to wear one.Also Jackie doesnt have the right to make customers wear a mask if they dont want to and she has no right to ask people to leave the store. That to is against the law. I understand these times are not what anyone wants to live in but there are a lot of disabled people out there that need to be taken into consideration to as well. Before you judge some one take a step back and think about it for a moment that something else may be going on with people that you dont know about.

Gift shop owners should take a lesson from this place. We were greated warmly when we came in. They have the typical assortment of dollar store merchandise. I didnt find anything I couldnt live without, so we left without making a purchase. I about fell over when we got to the door. They thanked us for coming and invited us back. Well done Dollar General. We will be back. Nice to be treated like a valued customer.

Im never shopping at this Dollar General ever again! My 10yr old daughter asked if she could use the bathroom. They refused to let her. Stating that it wasnt for public use. Ive personally have used this same bathroom multiple times in the past. When my daughter walked away, I asked why if I have used the bathroom in the past, couldnt my daughter? They said it was because people steal. She didnt want to steal, she wanted to use the bathroom. We paid for our purchase. Were walking towards the car, when my daughter started to cry. I asked what was wrong. She was embarrassed because she had an accident because she wasnt allowed to use the bathroom. I wont ever go there again.

I love the convenience, but the entire chain of store need renovating and upgrading interiors, especially bathrooms that are older than when Ames was still a thing.

Well they redone the place its about a year ago think and they still have some of them grouchy employees there thats all right of the place to get whatever you need at a Dollar general everythings pretty reasonable other than the employees being rude and grouchy to you but if you need a place to get it I go there now if you need something

This store is always in disarray. They block aisles with carts. The never have enough cashiers up front. I even had to yell out for customer assistance because no one was up front. Its hard to shop here.

Typical experience. Cashiers are strained from having to stock shelves and look out for customers waiting at the register from, sometimes, far away places. Otherwise, a useful store.

Good prices and stuff is always very friendly and helpful.

Place is a little messy but mostly because of space. The associates probably do the best they can with such little room.
