Awesome vibe, great food, hidden gem. A coffee shop straight out of a 90s indie movie (I mean that in the best way possible).

A little hole in the wall gem. Classy atmosphere, small, vintage. It has a unique feel to it. Enjoy your fare on the beautiful back porch tables.I mentioned the music should be more Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington etc.. and not Kesha or whatever other bubblegum pop was piping through the stereo system. People dont just pay for the food they pay for the experience, and the music played is a part of that. It didnt quite seem to fit, besides that it was a lovely experience. I had a caprese sandwich, very delicious!

Great neighborhood Cafe. The sandwichs are consistently good. Love stopping here for my morning coffee before work as well.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch! I was having internet issues and needed to get some work done in the morning and Cafe Ella had nice outdoor seating and great WIFI. I had an iced oat milk mocha in the morning, it was great! Then I had soup and sandwich for lunch - fresh ingredients, reasonable pricing, and great environment. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to stop here.

As a sandwich connoisseur, this is one of my go to places. Their paninis are awesome. I usually go with the Local (delicious with sweet jalapenos and cole slaw) or the pastrami (roasted peppers - amazing). Highly recommend.

Really nice little place. I got the morning wrap and green tea latte. Both were above average. Great vibes, good food, friendly service and relatively healthy.

I love this cafe. The food is always fresh and delicious. There are fresh and tasty sandwiches for my kids and BIG salads for myself. We can sit in the back and enjoy the sun or we can take things to go on our way to school or for a day of errands. The coffee is always delicious too… Don’t miss out on Cafe Ella !!!

Delicious food served with a friendly smile in a cozy atmosphere - what could be better?My salad stuck a lovely balance between upscale and simple, with all fresh ingredients and a fun touch with the shaved fennel. Both our sandwiches were delicious, with fresh ingredients on fresh bread.There is plenty of seating, including on the patio for those sunny days, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. :)10/10 would recommend.

This adorable little Cafe is a great place to grab a quick breakfast and lunch and their menu is almost entirely organic! Everything is hand-made by a group of ladies who take pride and care in what they serve to their customers. My faves for breakfast here are their wraps which are made as you wait, the pastries are so good, but MY personal favorite has got to be the awesome steel-cut oatmeal!! I love it! And if youre looking for a FANTASTIC cup o coffee, look no further, the coffee at this place is outstanding! Nice and STRONG and steaming hot!

Id like to first focus on the good parts of Cafe Ella: a cute little shop with unique decor and seating options creating a very homely vibe. Theres also a nice selection of salads and sandwiches.With that said, I was rather disappointed with my personal experience. I was with a friend who ordered a panini, only to have it arrive with very charred, near-black bread. The staff were kind and apologetic after being asked to replace the bread, which was definitely a plus. Normally, I really wouldnt care if my bread was burnt, but when my food arrived, I found 3 separate hairs throughout the sandwich. Id probably be fine with just 1, but 3? Who knows how many I missed...It all tasted very well, but its hard to focus on your sandwich when all youre thinking about is the possibility of another strand of hair just around the corner. The burnt bread really just topped it off for me.

Café Ella is a wonderful place to sit and eat in a relaxing cafe atmosphere that is sometimes hard to find. Its like a little oasis. The staff is friendly and gives personal service.

The last time we went was last summer. Food was delicious as always. Service was personable and pleasant, quite accommodating. The only drawback was the smoke coming back into the restaurant from the outside barbecue station where they prepare some of the food. Since I have asthma we had to leave and take our lunch with us. I dont know if they have fixed that problem or not. But, I hope so. I liked going there before that happened. Love the art on the walls.

Repeated the order 3 times and still got it wrong. At that point it wasnt worth waiting longer than we already had to ask them to fix it.

Under new management and better than ever! Jenny and Erika really care about the service and the food. Delicious breakfast wraps, paninis, sandwiches and salads. A great alternative to the standard taco shacks in Watsonville, we cant eat tacos every day :)

Came all the way from San Jose because of the reputation it had at the old Hollister location . Never coming back here or recommending to a friend or family. Out of every thing we wanted. Service was a bit below par but they were plesant. And how can you be out of ice? I just want my money back but I already ordered.

Great food! Some co-workers and I drive across town a few days a week. Love the soup variety, gooey Gorgonzola bread, salads, Thai tea (with boba pearls)... and everything else. It is a small restaurant so sometimes it can be a bit slow to receive your food ... often food comes in waves not all at once, especially for larger groups. With that said, it is our favorite place in Watsonville and worth the wait.

Its an easy place to be with outstanding food and with sweet women who prepare and serve the food. Its a welcoming ambiance and feels like home.

This place has delicious cafe food selections, with several vegetarian sandwich options, and a cute little back patio where you can hang out with your dog!

The service is soo bad, they are soo slow, all the workers do is gossip. My order was sitting their for a while, i went to go check on it and found out it was sitting their. I waited 30 min for 2 salads!!!! And it wasnt even busy. The workers are not focused. Ellas needs to implement a customer service training. You can tell the workers are only their for a paycheck they dont genuinely care or are passionate about serving the community.

Terrible service. Disorganized and apathetic. Cute place but the experience was frustrating for a hungry breakfast customer.
