Bought my first mtb from the Wausau Trek store about two years ago and it could not have been a better experience. John got me dialed in on my first bike and on to the trials within a few days, but the sale did not end there. The store was eager to help fix the bike or make tweaks when something started to get a little out of whack. My experience with this branch just comes to show just how much Trek stands by their products and are willing to do what it takes to get you back out on the road/trails as soon as possible. I would recommend considering buying a Trek before any other, because you know you are going to get a great product that is right for you, they have incredible customer service, warranty claim responsibility, and you will learn a lot more about your bike by going through Trek. Even in a tough hiring economy, John manages to surround himself with a great team of knowledgeable and personable ambassadors of the sport. I really appreciate all of the work John, Brad, Cam and several other employees at the Wausau Trek store have done in the past two years to keep me out there riding safely, and they are the reason I will go to Trek to buy my next bike as I mature in the sport. Its been difficult sourcing a bike for my son. I am from MN and found a model at this store. I went ahead and made a deposit over the phone. Unfortunately my situation changed and no longer could purchase bike. I called and asked for deposit to be returned. I almost never give reviews but had to say a huge thank you to John and the team at Trek in Wausau. I couldnt be more grateful for the work they did. Both of my daughters needed repairs on the bikes for the season. The cost came in right at what they estimated when I dropped them off, maybe a touch less. They had the bikes ready when they said they would be done and went above and beyond in helping when I came in to pick them up. Thanks John and your team! You guys could give the big box stores lessons in customer service.

I called the store asking to purchase two bikes. John very quickly took my info and said hed call back in a few minutes. In that time he called their Green Bay store and caught the driver of their transfer truck before they left. He was able to confirm one bike was already on the truck and then get the second bike added to the truck to be delivered to Wausau that afternoon. We went to the store that same day and John and his staff were very helpful with assisting us to ensure we had the correct size bikes. All in all it was a great purchasing experience.

The staff was great!

First, the shop is clean, open, and logically/professionally laid out. Second, you are “welcomed”, but not “swarmed” when you walk in, which I really appreciate. Third, I had an older bike, which is NOT a Trek Bike, and I wanted it serviced and back in riding condition. There was NO feeling that they were “talking down” my bike and pushing me to buy a Trek; they looked over my bike and gave me a very reasonable estimate and a detailed explanation of the work that would be done. Fourth, my Wife went there with the express intent of purchasing a Trek. She is VERY new to “professional grade bicycles”, but they talked WITH her and got her the correct bike, NOT more bike than she needed, or could use. I also ended up buying a Trek, because when they “dressed-out” my Wife’s bike it looked so good that I got Trek Envy (the struggle IS real). Last, while we were finishing up at literally “Three Minutes Until Closing”, other people came in to shop and asked question. The Staff at Trek Bicycle Store Wausau welcomed them, answered all their questions, and gave the customers an unhurried shopping experience. I am very glad there are other bicycle shops in Wausau; this way people can really see how much better it is dealing with the great folks at the Trek Dealership

A rear spoke on my bike had broken and the staff took us in right away and quickly replaced the spoke and checked everything out before we went on our way. Wonderful customer service!

Weve purchased 3 bikes from Trek of Wausau. They always take good care of us. Recently I brought a couple of our bikes in for warranty checkup. While the warranty program for Trek was discontinued they still took care of us.

Walk in and it looks like they are going out of business, bare show room, only had a few $6,000 plus bikes, family tired to buy me a bike for my birthday kid working there acted like nothing was wrong, terrible customer service, will be switching brands

Service is over priced, and of unacceptable quality. I have owned a Trek Marlin for 3 year now and have always taken it to the Trek Store of Wausau to get fixed... and time and again I have told them what is wrong (every thing from brakes to shifting problems) and every time I am promised that it is fixed only to find that when I am on the trail, nothing is fixed.I paid 650 for my Marlin and expect to have a decent, well working bike for that price; not to be lied to because they cant find anything wrong.Another issue I have had with this Trek store is there trade-in policy. For my 3 year old bike with new tires, no scratches and well maintained bike, they were reluctant to offer even 1/3 of what I paid for it just 3 years ago. The bike had never been abused, misused, wrecked, dropped etc. In fact, I was told I would get better money to (and I quote:) sell it on craigslist.Builers just gained a customer
