The store was clean and organized with everything easy to find and the associates were kind and helpful.

Had expensive pair of running shoes ordered on line that were too small, and regardless of showing them my statement of purchase to prove what I paid for shoes they insisted I needed paper work that came in box which was destroyed by my pet dog. 150.00 shoes got back 15.00. Will not shop there again.

The store manager needs to keep up with the ammo and the gentleman in the firearms department need to get a little bit better at customer service.

WARNING: if you have a return it will take THREE WEEKS for this store to give you credit. I returned an item and contacted Academy and they stated this is the “normal” time to credit your account. Never heard of a store taking that long!

Bought several guns from them and clothing and equipment. Service is excellent.

This store is my favorite when I come out to Texas they have a big variety of dryfit clothes and great prices

As of right now, if youre beginning to look for backyard games and such you will find a lot as the stock is pretty much full. However, just like a lot of other stores, the water sports or slip n slide stuff is pretty much gone as Spring is here. It isnt too packed and yes the store is requesting mask use so bring one and an extra just incase.

Got the stuff I needed just fine. Getting help, however, was a bit weird since there was no one in the immediate vicinity, and I spent some aimless walking trying to find ANYONE to help me. Still, I got the stuff I needed, and Im happy

I drove 20 miles to purchase a bow that was said to be in stock only to drive 30 milestone another store. Sad to say but the emplyees seemed to not want to help.

They always have what we need. Happy that they are now selling womens Plus size clothing and Magellen now has thier Protective clothing as well. Us chicas need the proper coverage while looking cute and feeling comfortable at the same time.

The manager of this store never want to do returns or exchanges, and never wants to price match anything. Its always a wast of time a patience.

So many registers, and only a few of them open. The line is always long when it comes to pay!!! Other than that no problems!!

Has a good selection the sporting goods and clothing. but when I went to check out there was a line of about 50 people and one checker. Just had to lay the stuff down and leave. No way standing in a line like that. They need to hire some help

This Academy store in Weslaco is awesome. Jessica in sports equipment helped me out tons in my purchasing a weight set. She was courteous and knowledgeable. We also bought some tactical boots for my teen son, rainboots, and flip flops on clearance. The snarky cashier near the service desk @ register #1 wasnt nice at all. Came across as obnoxious and not attentive. I think she just wanted me to leave. I like conversing with the clerks. She wasnt having it. I didnt get her name, but I have the receipt info. Other than that A+ buying experience. I wont let one bad employee ruin the 5 stars.

Always make sure when buying any foot wear . That they are New and have Not being return Worn and in bad condition..Everything else in the store is great Friendly staff and easy to Return your merchandise with recipt

It has been a while since I visited. The store looked nice and the cashier were fast and all registers were open. My waiting time was about 5mins. Sad to see no handguns nor ammo.

This review is based on a visit recently where I was looking into some Costa sunglasses.They had a sign on the counter advertising Costa shades at a discounted price. I dont recall exactly what the sign read, but it was something along the lines of... Regular price $199.99-$299.99 now $169.99I asked the young man for a price on 2 different shades and neither reflected that discounted price, so I asked which ones were at that price.His response, Im not sure, so I wouldnt be able to tell you. I asked how I could find out which ones did have the discounted price, and like a recorded message he responds again, Im not sure, so I wouldnt be able to tell you.2 stars because at least he was polite; incompetent but polite.

Curbside service was fast and very convenient. Associate was friendly and very helpful

Was looking for some shoes, I had a young gentleman to help . He help me the whole time I was there very helpful. I got my shoes got in line and line was very quick didnt wait that long.

Good prices and friendly staff. I was very disappointed when the shoes I came for were sold out day 1 of the sale. With a great selection comes very limited quantities I guess. I did find a second pair of shoes and was offered a discount to make up for the sold out shoes. I left the store happy and in retail thats the #1 goal for every customer encounter.

Horrible experience!! If I could give negative stars, I would!!! I made an online purchase with pick up in store, but the VERY next day tried to return it, they refused WITH all my emails showing proof of purchase and item still in original UNOPENED packaging!!! Ive worked in retail and this is unacceptable!!! I will be speaking with the manager very soon and contacting headquarters as well. Theyre rubber boots not a gun or ammo!!! In orginal sealed packaging!!!!

I know it must be hard to get employees to run checkout registers bit something has to change. I did my shopping and proceeded to get in line to check out. I thought I was at an amusement park with the line of well over 20 people in line. I placed the items I wanted to get into a grill and left without buying anything. I will not stand in a line that long. HIRE SOME PEOPLE

Had 2 people working cash registers while 5 other employees just walked around the store....forcing myself and 30 other shoppers to sit in line for 30 minutes, breathing each others air during a pandemic. I informed one of the workers who seemed to be in a managerial position that it might be smart to actually utilize his workforce at the cash register, and I was basically shrugged off lol.

Its a nice clean store. Dont go there too often but, there is always something I end up buying even though I just went to look around. The cashier Angie is super friendly and pretty.

The best cool ranch Doritos. Hands down. And I guess the employees are helpful too.

Lately Ive been seeing alot of over priced items or just items I can purchase at nutrition shops in harlingen for same price. So not saving by driving out my way to get aminos.... Workout equipment is generally ok priced. Again check Walmart first before going here. No need to pay same price for an item closer to you. You just end up waisting gas...
