AMAZING group of people. I called at around 2:40 yesterday desperate to get in ASAP because it’s been a few years and I knew I needed an updated prescription. I called and they were able to squeeze me in 520 that same day!!! Dr Dennis took lots of time with me and walked through my questions and concerns regarding contacts and glasses. And was very patient with me. The ladies at the front are hilarious and so sweet and take time to chat with you like friends and make you laugh and took time to “shop” with me as I picked out my new pair of glasses. They went the extra mile to help me get some great promos too! I’ve found my new vision home and I’m so so happy!
If I could give 0 stars this place would get it. They were very rude from the moment my family walked through the door. The Doctor is nice. The ladies have terrible customer service. If you try to ask them a question 1 they do not let you finish and 2 they try and make you feel like your wrong. This is unacceptable. The fact that my children were exposed to this make me sad as a parent.
I wish I could give a negative review because I would, made the appointment last week, gave them my insurance info online, no phone calls or emails, go to the appointment today and the blonde lady with glasses who was breathing like she just ran a marathon had an attitude the second we walked in the door, I never caught her name, she proceeded to tell me that I didn’t have insurance because it didn’t pull up when I clearly showed her both my medical and vision information, she argued with me then said it wasn’t pulling up in her system and asked if we would like to reschedule…went out to my car and called the 1800 number on my card and had no trouble finding my account, I should have read the reviews before I made the appointment and with all the one star reviews I seen I think it’s time they found some new employees because the ones they have are awful. We won’t go back there and I do not recommend.
Excellent service from Carrie at the West Bend, WI location. She located my past order from 5 years ago and was able to quickly set me up with a replacement set of glasses with the appropriate discounts. The doctor and other employees at the location were all very friendly and professional.
I wish I can give you guys a negative star, and I will never bring my familys business ever again. I tried to place my order over the phone and spoke with Tes, and she was so rude and condescending. She should not be working with customers at all! The phone call lasted for 22 minutes and 19 seconds and the 1st 15 minutes of my conversation with her, she just wont listen and keep on interrogating me and telling me that I already made my purchase on July 10 and received the contact lenses. And I kept trying to tell her thats incorrect because I have my receipt in front of me and the sample boxes but she keeps on ranting that I was wrong. When she finally slowed down,I told her for the 3rd time that if she remembers it clearly as she claims, she canceled the 1st transaction. That is when she realized that shes looking at the wrong thing and blamed it with their computer. I expressed my disappointment and told her she needs to work on how she handles customers and she admits that she gets into interrogating mode when shes trying to figure out something and she is aware that she needs to work on that. Well, I dont need to hear and experience that! Been doing business with them for 5+years for my whole family and friends and were not doing it anymore.

Visionworks is a good company, however this location is awful. Second attempt at getting my daughter some prescription sunglasses here. She said I needed a physical copy of my daughters prescription from children’s hospital signed by her Ophthalmologist. I showed her my daughters most recent prescription in MyChart. She said there was nothing she could do for me without a physical copy. I called a different location and they were happy to help with the prescription from MyChart, drove there and bought multiple pairs of glasses. Go to any other location.
I will never go there again..got a new pair of glasses and had to get repairs done because a lense got cracked it was within my 100 days of having them and was told it would be 400 dollars to get a new lense..thats more then I paid the first time..called a different vision works and they said they are insured because its under 100 days of having them...I will never go to west bend visionworks again..very rude gal there to the right of front desk..
This was my first time using Visionworks here in West Bend. The woman who sits at the desk off to the right when you first walk in, seems to be a supervisor (she does the pre-eye exam) was horribly rude. She basically belittled me because I did not give her my insurance info ahead of time. I did tell her I have that info now and I can give it to her and we can wait. She continued to roll her eyes and do a head wobble like I was causing her all this extra work. The way she talked to other employees made you uncomfortable. She is NOT an asset to your business, as I can see from other comments others agree with me. I would not go back as long as that woman is working there. The other lady that assisted us with our glasses was five stars, the doctor was 5 stars.
I was seen by Dr. Chris Pollock amd he was fabulous. He helped me understand my diagnosis by breaking things down and answering any of my questions with great detail. He also helped me save money on glasses.
I had an appointment for 12:00 noon and was turned away because I was supposedly ten minutes late. Even though I had been standing there for over five minutes while the lady at the counter was on the phone. Everyone in my family has gone there and I have been going there for over ten years. The doctor still had another patient in their office with the door closed. If they cant take the time to value my business then I will go elsewhere. Simple as that.
Like most people have shared, the ladies need to take a course in customer service. Just my opinion. Especially the one who seemed to be in charge of the front desk. She was not very personable. As Ive read in another review, she was also very stern with me when asking to move forward to take my temperature and sanitize my hands. A please and thank you would have been appropriate. Not a good start. Also a friendly hello and welcome goes a long way. She asked me what I came in for (doesnt it say somewhere what my appointment was made for that day?) and I said I came in for an adjustment on my glasses because they didnt feel comfortable on my face anymore.Without hesitation she said they look straight across and looked fine to her. I told her the nose piece was making a red mark on the one side of my nose and behind my right ear felt tight. She said there was no noticable markings on the side of my nose from the glases. I replied that I just had put them on and havent been wearing them long enough for the glasses to make the mark yet. She said those glasses will make marks because of the weight of the frames. I had to re-explain that the glasses were making a stronger redder mark on the one side of my nose which to me indicated the glasses were sitting uneven. Also when the glasses were new I had no problems up until this point. Wear and tear over time, taking them on and off my face made them in need of an adjustment. She asked me for my glasses and without looking at how they fit behind my ears or even looking at how the nose pieces looked she just bent the arms out on my glasses and handed them back to me......here try that.I already felt at this point I wasnt going to be able to get what I needed from her so I said its fine, thank you. And I walked out. When departing I didnt receive a thank you or please come again. I didnt catch the persons name, and quite honestly it doesnt matter because I wont be returning there again.
Will not go to this location again. Customer services is poor. I suggest the ladies take a 101 customer service course. The eye doctor himself was great, but the lady working up front thats a whole different story. Had a appointment at 1140 and we was a few minutes late which was 1143. Got there and said sorry we was a few minutes late. The lady who was working the front desk was like yes you guys are late. Wow 3minutes late. She goes on to say Im able to get you in because the next appointment cancel. Otherwise I wouldnt be able too. Proceed to take our temp and with a nasty tone told my daughter to move forward saying I need you to move closer in order to take your temp. I mean how close did she want us agaisnt the desk? End of appointment she asked if we are going to get glasses I said no. Wasnt going to give them anymore of my money. Even with her being rude, finished our transaction and I said thank you and didnt even get a youre welcome or see you next time. Would not recommend this place. Sad that this place has a great eye doctor, but customer services up front sucks.
A wonderful experience from start to finish! I was immediately greeted by friendly staff. My eye exam was on time and he was very informative. Selecting my new glasses was made easier by the help given me. I thought the 2 for 1 deal was good but then I was informed of the 60% off special going on . . . even better! My glasses were ordered on a Saturday and I had them on the following Friday - just 5 days later. I love my new glasses and really appreciated the kindness extended to me at Visionworks. I highly recommend them in West Bend, WI.
Blown away by the customer service. I was a little scared because I’ve gone to a family optometrist my entire childhood, but after walking in the door I knew I made the correct choice. I was greeted with a smile and was treated like family from this large, chain, cooperation. The front desk clerks were extremely knowledgeable and offered real advice, not just to make their numbers better, or get a bigger sale. The selection of glasses, and different types of contacts allowed me to choose exactly the pair I needed, with the contacts that would keep my eyes comfortable all day. I have received so many compliments after I started rocking my new pair of glasses! I was also advised of different discounts and how to spend my money the most effective way! The eye appointment was amazing! I hadn’t been for the past few years, and the optometrist made me extremely comfortable; all while giving time the most accurate prescription. Needless to say, this is absolutely my new go-to place for my eye care. I have already sent multiple family and friends and they’ve had similar experiences!
We had a great experience here! The optometrist was fantastic. My daughter is really shy when she doesnt know someone, and the optometrist got her to trust him very quickly. He took a lot of time to fully gauge what the issue was and what prescription could help her. It was the most detailed and complete exam Ive seen, and he answered all of our questions in an easy to understand way. The glasses came in very quickly, too. I have no complaints!
The customer service is awful. Also there was an issue with a girl under 18 that didnt have a parent with her. When she left, the staff gossiped and complained about her and her uninvolved parents in front of me and other customers. Made me wonder what they would say about me to others when I left. Very unprofessional. But the doctor and the eye exam itself was great.

Stopped in to Visionworks and was kicked out. They want me to make an appointment. I dont have a Visionworks where I live so I guess they do not want my business. Another moronic PC company scared to death of Covid. Try Shopko, theyll let you browse without an appointment

My mother always came here to get her glasses so when the time came I noticed my vision wasnt quite right I came here. The staff was super helpful and super kind. Laughing and joking with customers is always great as well. Got 2 pairs of glasses for a great price and they came in quickly! When and if I need to come back it will be here for sure!

Terrible. Very rude to myself and three girls. Didnt say hi. Rudely told us to sit down. Was talking about a patient from the phone call in front of customers. Had no child size masks. We walked out, chose not to go through with appointment. Would not go back.
After being in the store a lot of times and asking questions till they were sick of me asking them over and over (not really). I finally made the decision to buy another pair from Debbie and the staff in West Bend. Love the decision that they told me looked good and I would be happy with, and they were right! If you need glasses, this is the best place to shop and buy! Thanks again!!
Years ago I checked out all the area places that sold eyeglasses. Visionworks offered the best deals and had the largest variety of frames. I have stayed a loyal customer for years for the above reasons and also for the caring and helpful service I received there. Other places in the past, had me look through their whole selection of frames to find what I liked, when I had picked them out, they then informed me that the majority of these frames did not fit me properly. I wonder why they wasted my time in this way. In a very short time at Visionworks I had my glasses because they showed me only the frames that were the correct size for me. And also as a bonus throughout the years I have bought some really unique stylish frames that I have gotten lots of compliments from others telling me how nice they look on me. Thank you Debbie and Carrie, buying glasses from you has been fun and fast and I will continue to do so!!
Didn’t have my insurance verified before I came in, even though I called hours in advance. Made me reschedule. Unprofessional tone from the woman I spoke with today when I let her know I was running a few minutes behind on my appointment. No one told me to be there 15 minutes in advance, wasn’t willing to keep my appointment. Will never schedule at this location again, staff is very rude
5 star customer service. Dr Pollock spent more time than I have ever had with an optometrist making sure I had the right prescription. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Then as I walked out Micah, the customer service team member, had 3-4 frames that he felt would look good on me. I was thoroughly impressed with the personalized care from the doctor, to customer service and even back to the lab tech making the glasses fit well.
What a great experience! Very thorough and knowledgeable doctor and staff! The ladies were extremely helpful in offering assistance fitting me into my new frames, which I LOVE. Ive had my new glasses for just over a week and nothing but satisfaction over here! Ill definitely be back!
Carrie did a great job helping us find a needle in a haystack! We had unrepairable frames & were looking for a frame to fit the lenses we had. We had gone to other stores where the staff were unable or seemed unwilling to help us in a unique situation. Carrie jumped right in to find us a solution and worked hard to find a frame that could work. We are very happy with the outcome. Great work, Carrie!
I had an appointment at 11:40 I walked in at 11:46 and the lady at the front desk said to me your over 5 minutes late we can’t take you and proceed to talk on the phone with someone else. I was 6 MINUTES late. No where on their website does it say anything about having to cancel an appointment if your more than 5 minutes late. She was so incredibly rude. My mom had an appointment at 12 which I could have just taken her appointment if she would have even bothered to give me the time of day to say that. I had to get new contacts and new glasses. My mom was also going to get new contacts and glasses. Which would have given that business a lot of money but we are now taking our business else where from now on.
Disappointed with the safety glasses I received. The pair I tried on before the purchase fit great, but when I recieved my pair they were bent wide open did not fit my head at all, they were missing the nose piece, and the women told me there was nothing they could do with them. She suggested using a strap which she could not produce, and told me the glasses didnt fit because my lenses were to thick. For $300 I except a silk purse not a sows ear. Who ever is making these glasses should know better! They are supposed to be safety glasses if they dont stay on your face what good are they.
I went in to have the nose pads replaced on an old pair of glasses. They replaced them on the spot at no charge!! It was a great experience. Staff is awesome.
The staff and Dr. Pollack were friendly, answered all my questions, and spent all the time I needed to make an informed decision on which lenses were best for me. After two weeks with my new glasses, had a small problem with my frame (my fault). The staff fixed the issue in 5 minutes, right before the store closed, and with a smile! Wonderful experience and highly satisfied.
Excellent Service & Experience! I desperately needed new reader/bi-focals preferably before a business trip. I ordered them on 10/5 and they said it would probably be 10 days before they are in. I had resigned myself to wearing cheap readers for the next week, when I received a text & email early today to say my glasses were ready! Nicest thing that has happened to me all week! Interaction with several female staff and they were all wonderful!

Best experience in quite awhile at an optical store! Found a great pair of Perry Ellis frames that my teen son likes. Optical exams on site. The manager, Debi, helped me out with a repair to my glasses that was pretty extensive and saved me $. Everyone there was super friendly and courteous!
Great customer service! They readjusted the badly bent arms of my glasses - purchased at a different store - and got them perfectly aligned. Also did not charge a fee. Highly recommended!

Not impressed. The courtesy I received from the staff was ho-hum. I had to figure out size and style on my own. The only comment that was made by one employee was how much she hated adjusting glasses that werent full frame. They did, however, help me decide which purchase option was best (insurance vs. BOGO special).When my glasses were ready, they made my vision worse. The staff told me there would an adjustment period and to give it time. After 5 days, I returned to have the lenses double checked because I still couldnt see. I was assured that the lenses were made correctly and I needed to give it a week or two.After 10 days, I returned to my eye doctor (West Bend Clinic). She checked the lenses and found that the glasses were NOT made to my prescription!Visionworks apologized for the mix-up and remade them at no charge.What pisses me off the most is that their staff told me to keep wearing glasses that werent right for me, twice!! I wont go back there nor recommend them to anyone.

So I came in with a prescription from my doctor to look at glasses. The staff was so friendly and very helpful while they helped me pick out frames and lenses.
Dr.Pollock is amazing he is very detailed with the exam. Carrie is awesome and amazing at what she does. Micah is helpful and laid back, he is willing to help. Magen has a super helpful personality and she very knowledgeable about the products of visionworks and she is a great asset to have. Ms.Lorie is new to the company but her big personality makes her great with the customers.
Just went in and had to get glasses for the first time in my adult life. Everything was simple, and the staff was very helpful. Bring Sunglasses if you do the dilation drops though.

Went in for an eye exam a couple of weeks ago, ordered both new glasses and contacts. They told me that they’d be in by the 25th. So today, being the 24th I decided to call to check if they had gotten them in. They told me that they had called on the 15th (which is not true, my phone log shows no call or voicemail on that day) and that they only had the glasses in and not the contacts.So when I went in to pick up the glasses the person truly acted as if I was an inconvenience to them to just give me my glasses, no adjustments had been made at all and the person “helping” me didn’t even sit down to make sure the fit was right, nor would she look up when I could expect my contacts to be in. I have never once in my entire life of wearing glasses not had the person who gave them to me seem so disinterested in actually helping a customer.Sitting on my car afterwards the lady who gave my glasses to me came outside to smoke, which I guess was more important than checking on the status of my contact lenses or make sure the new glasses fit properly.The reason I give two stars is because the doctor and receptionist when I went in for my exam were very friendly, but I don’t see myself going there again after the experience I had today. Unfortunately I will have to go at least once more when my contact lenses come in and I’ll have to work with the same lady I worked with today, not thrilled about that.

Magen Pusateri a few weeks ago helped me in a jam. My frames on my glasses were bent and I came in with no appt after work, and she gladly took the time to help me readjust them, and refused to take any payment for service expressing she was just happy to help. I will look into using them in the future for service based off a random visit to their store and Megan’s great customer service! Thank you Megan!

I have never had an experience quite like the one I’ve had at West Bend’s Vision Works...they are incredible! My whole family got exams and glasses within 3 weeks of each other and everytime I went in the store I was greeted with smiles and words of welcome. They are so friendly and everytime I came in we would just pick up the conversation from the last time I was there. The Eye Dr is wonderful with adults and kids! My kids actually enjoyed being there! I highly recommend this store!

With it being Labor Day weekend, no other place was able to help me...my daughter scratched her cornea and need to wear glasses, but they were broken. The ladies there tried almost ever pair of cat eye glasses to fit her lenses so she would have a pair of glasses for the weekend. Thank you so much for your help!!
Buying new glasses is about as bad as getting a new drivers licenses, in my opinion. I dread it... Typically customer service is never good and no one really knows what they are taking about.... That all changed for me today. I walked into the Vision works in WB. Greeted by Magen and within 2 minutes I knew I was buying my next glasses here... She ran my insurance, apparently I have good vision insurance. We picked out 2 pairs of glasses and I paid all within 20 minutes. So happy that I am no longer dreading this experience any more. Thanks for all the help... Magen was VERY knowledgeable on my insurance, the different lens and frames! Looking forward to getting my new glasses and sunglasses next week. Thanks again for the help.

I went in to visionworks not knowing at all what I wanted, they helped me find the right style for me. I am very satisfied with my experience and happy with my knew pair of glasses.
Oddly, I did a bad review several months ago and it disappeared? Took a pair of glasses to get fixed (13 months old) and they said they couldnt fix them after trying for several minutes. They wanted me to pay more money cause I didnt get the extended warranty. I took them over to Walmart and they had them fixed in 5 minutes NO CHARGE. I would give them 0 stars but thats not a choice.

What a wonderful establishment!This place is amazing, I have never left a retail store feeling better about myself or my purchase. I have terrible social anxiety and know next to nothing about glasses other than the fact that I really should have been wearing them for years. The idea of coming to a store and making myself look stupid by asking a bunch of questions everyone probably knows the answer to is not my idea of a good time. Instead I ended up with an experience that was flawless.Instant greetings from multiple employees with genuine vivacious smiles in a clean store. Even during my assault of questions there was never a moment where I felt like I was being a bother to any of the employees. Normally leaving a store like this I get instant buyers remorse, it becomes impossible not to wonder if maybe they oversold me for commission or maybe didnt realize what I really needed and undersold. FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) settle in and I cant even look at my purchase (or in this case look through). Not this time though. There is no doubt in my mind that I was in the hands of people who genuinely care about their job and the service they provide and have the experience to go with it. I specifically was working with the assistant manager of the location, Magen (very patient, kind, and clearly knowledgeable), but even her supervisor (Debbie, she was also so wonderful to work with) and the rest of the staff present all went out of their way to make sure I was happy (sorry to the rest of you but I am terrible with names).If you have any uncertainty or are nervous about the process like me, do yourself a favor and go here.Regardless of whether I move to another city in the near future, I will be back to the West Bend Wi location when I need help again.

My appointment took 3 hours then they lied and said they didnt make my brand of contact anymore. Then they gave me their bad brand of contacts. They are supposed to last a month, I was lucky to get them to last 2 weeks.
