Dr Gilbert is so kind and informative. Ive been seeing him since i was a kid (now 24) and hes always been great!
Ordered new progressive plastic lenses for my frames from Walmart because they were the lowest in cost. They were supposed to have a scratch guard & no glare coating on. After 9 mo. one of the lenses had to be replaced because it was badly scratched even though I took good care of them. After 14 mo. the coating on both the lenses was completely wearing off so much that I could not even see out of them any more. They said the lenses only had a 1 yr. warranty so I was out of luck! It was so bad I had to put older lenses in the glasses just to see. Definitely would not recommend getting any lenses from them unless you want to replace them every yr.
My husband and I had a terrible experience at this vision center today (5/18/20). We came in 3 different times during their convenient 10-2 hours... and still couldnt get my daughters lenses re-ordered. The employee took a 1 hour lunch, on a four hour shift. No one would answer the phone when we called during their open hours. The service could not have been worse. If you are only going to be open 10-2, you should have someone answering the phone or actually be open. The employee must have been taking breaks. They wouldnt accept our updated prescription from Childrens over email, they said they dont have email to print a copy. Well be visiting a small locally owned optical center in the future. Happy to pay more for adequate service and quality. I have to agree with what the previous reviewer said, the lenses themselves are terrible, we were only coming back in hopes to be covered under warranty. And shell have a new prescription in a few months. The first lenses my daughter ever had were from a local optical store had 0 scratches after a year. Her 2nd set of lenses from Walmart were completely destroyed with tons of scratches. They are not anti-scratch as advertised. We learned our lesson the hard way!
I have been coming to see Dr. Gilbert for awhile (since 2007) and everything has always been great! However, Im here to give props to one of the other employees, Jim. He went above and beyond in helping me, and I really appreciate the help he gave me!
I have called and called and get no answer, even when going through the main number and being transferred. I know things are difficult through these times, but how can you leave your patients hanging. They would not give me a 6 month prescription to get through. Took me 2 months to get a sample pair and now those are getting dried and they wont answer the dang phone.
Had my first eye test here and thought they were excellent. Quick, professional, informative, friendly and helpful staff.
My son had been getting migraines for a while and as his old prescription glasses were blurry I took him in to be retested. Got his prescription-dr said he could wear them for school work, watching tv, basically anytime he needed them, and then ordered 2 pairs of glasses online from another company.They came and when he put them on he said things were blurry far away and got headaches just for wearing them a little while. So as he needed a pair of glasses asap I ordered another pair of glasses thru the optical. They came back just like the other 2 pairs, blurry when looking in distance and giving him a headache.So I brought him back in to be retested. The dr said there was a difference in what he originally wrote and so we reordered the glasses.I asked them since now I was out the money for the other 2 pairs and would not get a refund from the company as they were the prescription I sent them, if they would at least give me another pair of glasses to make up for the hassle.The dr refused saying he could not do anything.And thru this ordeal, I had surgery, so all the running back and forth just added to this frustration.NOT GOING BACK!!
