Mavis is my go to place whenever I have an issue with my tires. I’ve been there several times, and they don’t try to oversell you. If a tire can be repaired, they will quickly fix it for you for a low price, rather than try to sell you a new tire for $100+ dollars that you don’t need. Service is always quick, and everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend them for your repairs!

Very reliable shop! I noticed a nail on one of my tires, right on the edge.They checked my tire and luckily the nail didnt pierce through, it was just stuck on the outside. No charge for just checking my tire. Honestly I always worry about going to fix my car by myself since I know nothing about cars but I know I can trust the manager Johnny and his staff to be reliable and honorable with their work. I’ve never thought of writing a google review before until now. My splash guard abruptly fell loose on the highway, I saw Mavis was one of the closest shops to me. I stopped in, Rahman, David, John, and Lou were able to take care of it immediately and get me on the road as soon as possible. This morning the team at Mavis on Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell kindly fixed two tires without an appointment. One tire had a nail stuck in it and the other a large hook! I can’t thank them enough for fitting me in and fixing both tires in record time.

The manager and crew members here are very respectful and they help you the best way that they can. They also try to be reasonable with the prices and give you the best option on a tire and anything that could be wrong with your vehicle. I highly recommend coming here.

Excellent Experience and Service! Carlton the Store Manager has fantastic customer service skills. I had a hard time finding my tire and everywhere I went wanted over $300 for just the tire. The truck is 5 months old and only 4K miles on it. I got a nail in my tire and it couldnt be patched since it was on the outer wall. I got my new tire and install for under $200! Jeff the service manager made sure the partially used tire I had on (at the time that was all I could find since it was a special order tire) was placed in my trunk and gave me clear instructions on how to take care of it so it could be used again should I ever need it. Both of these gentleman were superior, provided the most outstanding customer service Ive experienced. Highly recommended, and will absolutely visit again should I need additional services. Also, bonus - my appointment was at 6pm, I arrived at 5:55 and they had me out of there by 6:15! Thank you Carlton & Jeff for your stellar services! A+++++

Had a bad start with this location. Turns out the guy who made me go through a horrible experience, is a “floating manager” and not firm at this site. The location manager cleared the sticky situation up and made me feel very comfortable going forward. Louis & Marquis on site were excellent with their customer service and my tires came out great. I appreciate the effort and attention Mavis put into my frustration at this location.

Scam artists. Went in for a tire replacement. Then I see 2 tires removed when up on the lift. Then am quoted for two shocks. Then the bill is higher than that when all is said and done 3 hours later. I was given a bogus $99 “manager’s discount”. Thanks so much. Folks, avoid these creeps and go to a local guy who won’t give you a song and dance and rip you off. Total bs here.

Came in last minute for a flat tire. Deven and Kyle provided excellent service. Super helpful and very kind. They were able to get me in and out very quickly with the highest quailty of service. I highly recommend this place.

Went there to get an oil change and tire rotation. They brought my vehicle in did the oil change and didnt do anything else..didnt check the air pressures. Didnt top off or check any of my fluids..when I got home I opened my hood and there was oil all over my engine cover. Wont be going there anymore..Didnt check anything...

Had the horrible experience here. I brought my car in as my engine light was on. When I walked in I was told the computers are not working.but somehow they did the diagnostic test. I dropped the car and got a quote of $1400.I was not given a paper which shows what’s wrong as they did the diagnostic test. Didn’t feel right with the dealings. Somehow they figured that the sensor needs To be changed and took car in twice a week and was asked to come on a Saturday as the technician is only available on Saturday. I don’t even think they changed anything and I kept asking if they got new parts for me. Charged 114 for parts and 117 for not even half an hour job. And was given the key. I had to ask for the bill..Was never like this with mavis. The bills are always given and this was my favorite store. I felt something is not right here.. and My car is making noise and I believe 100 percent they changed nothing and was fooling me. The deal was if I change the parts I won’t be charged $99. When bill came I was charged and Lois was rude saying that I need to come back for my 99$. Dont trust this place for bringing my car in.Called the mavis store.. wanted to get my $99 back. Whenever I call Lois is not working that day and I got busy at work as my coworker went on vacation and when I called Louis he’s not ready to give my money back. Every time they say the regional manager Carlos will call and never got a call from him. I need my money back and let me know who to contact. If Carlos is not ready to talk please connect me to some one else .Update on today: as per regional manager Shawn, went to the store at a time given by him to collect money they owe me and couldn’t find Lois anywhere. This place is fraud.. do not take your car here. Can’t believe even the regional manager is part of this. Im taking legal advise

This place WILL try to scam you. I went in for a simple tire replacement after having just had my car inspected at its annual maintenance. I was told up front that the total cost for the rear tire replacement would be $350 TOTAL (service, tax, everything). Upon going back in to receive my car, I was told my costs were $415. Upon pressing the employee, he asked me if they mentioned the tire alignment when getting my quote. I said no as I NEVER asked for that and only asked for a mere replacement. He said okay, changed a few things, and my price was now down to $315. In other words, if I had said nothing, I would’ve been charged way more than I should have.Also, their mechanics try to use predatory tactics in the sense that they count on your lack of car knowledge to scare you into getting repairs you don’t need. While my car was getting its tires replaced, the mechanic called me telling me I urgently need to get my brakes replaced. When I said no (my car is 4 years old with 22,000 miles on it, and while I recognize that brake lifespan is dependent on several factors, this seemed rather excessive to me), the mechanic told me okay but he’d have to mark my car as unsafe to drive and I’d have to sign a legal waiver. I later had a friend of mine, who is a mechanic, take a look at my brakes and pads and he told me I easily have another year left and am in no need to replace them immediately. The mechanic at Mavis acted like I was driving in a death trap and that I’d be endangering my life if I didn’t get my brakes replaced right then and there, and it turns out they were just trying to scare me into getting a costly repair I didn’t need at the moment.Combined with them trying to charge me much more than the original quote by throwing in some random charge, and using fear tactics to pressure me into a repair (and in addition to my mechanic friend looking at my brakes, I JUST had my car inspected at the dealership), it’s clear to me that this is the kind of place that gives mechanics a bad reputation. Do not go here. Scummy and deceptive practices
