Where do I start? The waitress? Sure. Didn’t get her name but wow she was terrible. The rudest lady I have ever encountered. Don’t ask her for anything because you probably won’t get it. Now for the food. I personally ordered their “west Chester burger” and I’ll explain what that entailed. One greasy patty, a whole chunk of onion (yes whole), they must have forgotten the cheese, a fat slice of tomato, and whole leaf of lettuce, the driest piece you may have ever tasted. Oh and my side of onion rings must have been half eaten since I received 1 and a half onion rings. So if you want the worst meal and service of your life, well here it is. Enjoy.
Pretty decent food for a decent price in my opinion. My wife and I had a great breakfast here for a decent precent price, the wait staff was nice enough. It was pretty busy but I can understand considering a low priced breakfast on the weekend so I would stop and again if I had The Choice.
Only there once, but food was great. Waitress was friendly & checked often to see if we were in need of anything.Food choices are what you expect from a diner, plus many items you wouldnt.Next time I visit my daughter (Im from Pittsburgh), this will definitely be a place we will eat at, for sure.
I just love this place. I go fairly often. The food is 9 times out of 10 really good. The people are friendly and theyre also working stupidly long hours so be nice to them.
Decent service and food, we were a party of 3 and were seated promptly and served. But was charged a mandatory tip of 25% on the bill, which Im pretty sure is not legal. When questioned while making the payment, the staff at the payment counter feigned ignorance and told us the manager wasnt there. Tips are voluntary (not mandatory) and the services provided were not worth a mandatory 25% tip.
Had no other place to go and starved while visiting Philly. Drove 40min extra from the city just to eat there before going back to NYC (total opposite direction). I hated the food due to the burnt and dry home fries among other stuff which was ordered! Also disliked the rest of the tasteless food. For ex. The creamy sauce on the benedict had too much salt and babaghanoush lacked flavor greatly. The service was meh. There was one waiter and two tables ONLY with customers which includes ourselves yet she had trouble handling everything. The plates were a constant annoyance since nothing was taken away every time new food arrived and had to tell her about it. She asked if we wanted to move to another table. Really? You wont take the plates but have the customers reseat themselves? ANYWAYS, she was nice in general and was willing to change my food because I couldnt eat bacon (even though I had to explain various ways until she got it). As for the food, I will never be back. Waiter said chef would yell at her about the food. If the chef yells at a waiter for having food changed, I would really reconsider the facility run there and the service toward their customers.
As diners go, very bright, spacious (huge, really!)and comfortable. Extensive menu, everything we got was good, good prices and portions. Only thing is they need more servers. The ones they have are working as hard and fast as they can. It is really hard getting staff right now, but their service and speed of food arriving was spot on! Would go back any time in mood for a diner!
Great food from a place thats been on the map for many years. My parents first started coming here and now everytime Im in town visiting Ill stop in. Im a big breakfast guy and this is the place for me. Owners are super nice as well and always on top of your needs. Hope you enjoy it as much as our family does.
Server never showed up and none of the staff ever checked on us. We were just seated and then sat there for close to an hour. When we got up to walk out none of the staff had said anything and just watched us leave. I recommend you do not dine in here unless you want to hound the staff to get food. Will not be returning. I got breakfast when I went and it was good. The waitress was lacking tho. She only came back to drop off food and a check. Other then that it was a good experience for a local diner.
The food was ok, the waitress was somewhat absent, which wasnt the end of the world but then she added a 25 percent tip on the bill herself. Now it was only a couple of dollars but to have the gall to impose the tip herself was ridiculous. We were a party of 6 and understand adding it to the bill is normal for most places but to hand write it on the credit card slip was not ok. We were looking for a new place to have our weekly meetings at for our entire crew, well this wont be it. We are thinking her extra couple of dollars cost the restaurant at least $600 - $800 a month in revenue.

The one waitress is so rude and slams your food down, and has a horrible attitude, order is wrong. Very dilapidated in her very 70s. Soups where great food was great but not great experience asked for hot wings and got plain. Oh well. Just traveling through and will never stop again unfortunately. I had high hopes as I love little diners.
We went for Fathers day. It was very busy, so I would give them a pass on the so so service. But there was nothing that stood out to me about the food. I get that its just eggs, bacon, and pancakes. But all the good was very bland and just average. I will try them again another day.

I love West Chester. I am I always eat there in the daytime this is my first time experience the evening shift I will never go back there and eat again in the evening shift the waitress was very rude I dont know what her problem was I do not like the hospitality that she portrayed I dont know if she had a problem with brown skin people or what I do not like the way she was outright rude slamming my money or change on the table I mean never came over and asked if we wanted another glass of water never a game over and asked if I wanted another cup of coffee I need $2.50 for one cup of coffee is call for high add for one cup I started to call her over to ask for another car but you know what I was getting upset so in order not for me to be as rude as I left the dryer
Usually a good visit.This time waitress seemed confused.Got 3 out of 4 orders wrong, but easily fixed at the table.My sandwich was supposed to come with chips but they didnt give them to me and to be fair, I was fine without the chips.Weve been going here for decades and will again, but this time it wasnt great, but still ok.
Service was very slow. Got the BLT to play it safe and it said it was extra bacon, it was the opposite. Food was average.

Holy God almighty. The most miserable waiter in the world. Waiter was telling at customers and yelling at us across the room. The atmosphere was terrible and depressing. Waiter was snapping at us and everyone else. Not the first time had this waiter and that issue. Place really is just terrible now. Dont go here.

We are not from the area but stayed at the microtel right around the corner and was recommended to go there. Excellent waitress very petite not real tall pull back blonde hair. Very knowledgeable very nice young lady food was good and served very quickly after ordering.
I had the lemon pepper Haddock tonight and really liked it! 😊 My waitress was also friendly and attentive, as usual.

The food is good for a diner, and theyre open very late. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars (for a dinner, keep it in context folks) is because the service can be very hit or miss. With it typically getting worse after 8pm.

I went tonight to this diner with my friends and the experience was awful. The waitress looked like she wanted to shoot herself and the lighting looked like it was straight out of a horror film. Food was decent but overall waiting experience was just depressing. Even my 6 kids brought me more joy than this night. Went to applebees instead !

If a party is going on in the banquet room the sound shakes the entire restaurant. It’s incredibly intrusive.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich before work. I go to open and eat my sandwich as I’m driving to work, and the bacon is completely nothing but fat and not cooked, it was brown in color. When I tried to call the restaurant, no one answered and took over 10 minutes for someone to get on the phone. I told the lady I couldn’t come back until after work because I was already to far as I noticed the sandwich. She offered me another sandwich and I asked for a refund. Why would I want another sandwich that had uncooked discolored meat. She told me I couldn’t have a refund but I could call back later when the manager was in. Completely rude, didn’t ask for my information and did not give the manager information. Will never go back and will make sure people know!
Waitress we had was great. Had the breakfast buffet. Food was fair to good, bacon..the best of the best! The temperature of the food was not so great...needs to be kept hotter and for safety reasons too. Fruit was good, waffles could be crisper on the outside, but good flavor. Fresh blueberries and strawberries would be better than blueberry and apple compote for sure. Pastry could definitely be better quality for sure. Overall, and just speaking about the buffet alone, it was good enough to go back for more. Price was good as well. Recommended for very simple and casual dining. Nice atmosphere and mostly friendly staff.
Okay. Waitresses over worked. They are seriously under staffed. Food isn’t great although I did like the fries. Milkshake was poor and small. Coffee was fair.
Have not been to the diner in a long time before this visit. Everything was just off. The waitress was ditzy, the food was sub par and definitely not worth what we paid.

First and last visit unfortunately. Seemed disorganized. Server appeared overwhelmed as it appeared he was only server. Hostess was very loud and over the top. Her anxious-like behavior likely contributed to servers overwhelmed appearance. Food took longer than it should have to come out of kitchen. Food was okay. French onion soup had more cheese on the bowl than in it. The empty parking lot should have been indicator.

If I could give negative stars I would. Awful service, understaffed, and the workers didnt even try to keep up. Our food came in intervals, and none of it was warm. We waited 40 minutes to even get our coffee and put in an order. Also they make you tip 25% automatically. Never go here.

I ordered a 12$ burrito that should have been a 6$ burrito I mean this this was insultingly small. Then when they forgot to add everything that was requested to be in the burrito, I walked back in expecting a new burrito and they just took half of my old, not what I ordered burrito and threw guac in it. Not happy with the service and it’s a shame cause the food is good. I won’t be ordering from here anymore. Money is better spent at a wawa.

As always, the service was friendly and the food was great!Servers are working under strange and difficult circumstances with this COVID thing going on. In light of this, wherever you go out to have a meal and people are endangering their lives serving you, make sure to not only tip, but tip generously. If you dont want to tip generously, you should stay home and make yourself a grilled cheese sandwich.

This place is depressing, dark and gloomy.
We pulled up and we werent sure if they were open it look like they were in the middle of a construction project. We went in and we were sat at a booth. The inside of the restaurant is starting to show its were a little but we both sat down and we ordered nachos for starters the nachos came on a huge plate we were both happy with the large quantity on a plate. One of us got a Burger & I got a Turkey club. Both sandwiches came with pickles,coleslaw and french fries. The turkey club had fresh moist turkey & had fresh fancy lettuce and I asked for crispy bacon. Both sandwichs came with fries,they were really good. Both sandwiches were fantastic! We both got dessert. The desserts were priced good. We got two slices of cake, the pieces were huge and delicious. I wish I took pictures of the food. We are very happy with our trip to this and would be happy to go back again.

It’s a shame how this place has gone down hill!!!! Wait staff and management are horrible!. This used to be a favorite haunt for our family. However recently the wait staff, management and food have been terrible. I was there last week with my son for breakfast and a short chubby waitress rolled her eyes when she was asked to wait on us. I guess either she was overworked or just mean. She was surly in taking our order and was not very attentive. A young 20 something middle eastern looking guy who appeared to be a manager was just hanging around with little interest in what was going on. He looked like he would rather be somewhere else than managing the business! The food used to be good but is now typical lower end diner food and honestly the old warmth the west Chester diner had has just vanished. Time to close shop guys and turn it into an apartment complex like so many other places that have lost their customer focus and have gone belly up!

I have been happily eating at WC Diner for years now, but this is my first time ordering during Covid-19. When I arrived for curbside pickup, I was greeted by two employees on their smoke break with no masks, who informed me that my food was inside the empty, dimly lit restaurant on a table. With that level of distancing, how can I trust that my food was made in a sanitary manner?
My daughter and I had the MOTHERS DAY SPECIAL -LOBSTER TAILS.BAKED POTATO ROLL, I HAD SOUP, MY DAUGHTER HAD A SALAD ..all was delicious .WE HAD COCONUT CAKE FOR DESSERT..I WOULD RECOMMEND THE DINER ANYTIME..I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE SINCE THEY OPENED.NEVER DISAPPOINTED.IN THIS PANDEMIC EMERGENY, WE SHOULD SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES.THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE FOR US.
