Ive come to Target for my glasses/contacts needs for several years. Ive always had great experiences with the examiners but often felt the service people were overwhelmed and there was a lot of waiting, even with an appointment. My most recent experience was amazing. Angie was so helpful in listening to my needs with a smaller framed face and understood I was in a time crunch to get back to work. I really appreciate her help and compassion as it is very hard for me to make appointments like this with my job. Thanks Angie!

This is my regular exam/glasses store. I have had an exam earlier this year by a very nice Dr, who was thorough and quick, and answered all of my concerns. Recently my new puppy ate my glasses, and I thought I’d try to see if they could be repaired. I stopped in on a busy Saturday, and the wait was, to be expected, busy. When it was my turn, both employees greeted me and helped me with a new pair of glasses since my ruined ones were out of warranty, and an adjustment of another pair, and even helped my out-of-pocket purchase with a store coupon that I qualified for. Sue, thank you for your patience with me, and multi-tasking help with other customers while not making me feel like a bother! FYI: GET THE WARRANTY! It is a peace of mind for life’s unexpected glasses emergencies! My ruined pair had already been replaced once, so I was kind of expecting an out-of-pocket purchase. These employees were able to quickly pull up insurance information, dates, co-pays, and add-ons if you chose. Easy peasy, see you in a couple of weeks for my new pair! Thank you!

I have been coming to West Des Moines Target Optical for many years. With each purchase I have taken advantage of their additional insurance that they offer which I find very beneficial. With this additional insurance I have had glasses replaced at a very small cost after sustaining a fall and also having lenses ‘recut/replaced’ to tweak the most corrected/accurate vision. I am always very pleasantly and positively greeted and helped by both Angela and Susan on all visits. Most notable is when one enters the optical clinic either Angela and/or Susan acknowledges your presence even if they’re currently waiting on another customer, letting you know they’ll be with you as soon as possible (which usually isn’t a very long wait). I highly recommend Target Optical in WDSM for your family’s optical needs.

Going to Target Optical was the right option for a busy mom! We found out on a Friday my kiddo failed an eye exam. Looked on the website and they had an opening the next day. Love the book online option! When we arrived they promptly saw my child, were super courteous, and cool under pressure(a line to the door while I was there). The eye exam was cheaper than anywhere else I found(including club stores)! He picked out glasses and we were done in less than an hour! I will be back!

I recently had my glasses resized here and left with completely damaged lenses and employees who claim it wasnt their fault. I cant even see clearly through my brand new glasses, which did not have any lens problems when I brought them to Target for a simple earpiece resizing. Now, there are tiny scratches or warping on both lenses that makes it look permanently smudged when looking through them. I will not be using Targets vision center again.

I just wanted to thank the optical shop for calling me. They were so nice and kept trying even though I gave them the wrong number the first time.!!Way to keep trying girls and thank you!!!!

Had a bad experience. Staff was rude, and refused to do an exchange bc it made their store look bad. I had to go to another target optical to do an exchange on glasses that were making me dizzy, even though I was still within my 90 days. I dont plan on going back to WDM target optical.
