Me and my mom have gotten all of our jewelry here through the years, thousands of dollars worth. We live 2 hrs away from this location and stopped to get our jewelry cleaned before closing time, however the staff had already locked the doors prior to closing. Very disappointed because of this experience. Don’t believe I will be spending any more money in this location because of this.

When I opened the box, there were 3 very large knots in the chain. I spent over an hour trying to get them out. So I called customer service and the lady told me to keep trying to get them out yourself. Lets put it this way, very disappointed with that comment, no that we will get a replacement chain to you or some other recommendation. I hate to say that it didnt sit well with me. No offer or anything.
Haleigh was an amazing partner to find the perfect wedding ring. There is a lot that goes into finding “the one” and Haleigh was patient and kind the whole way through. As a first time wedding ring purchase, she didn’t let us leave until we both understood fully how the purchase would work. She made sure 100% that everything was going to go smoothly with repairs. Have bought a total now of three rings from here ow. Bought a signature Jared engagement ring for my fiancee and lost a diamond . Took it back and had it replaced. happened again for the second time .so we jus bought a new ring . Had to pay a extra 600 dollars plus and extra 50 to put the old warranty on the new ring . Haily was awesome but I think they could have handled this differently due to their ring not being so signature. Smh will never go back .

I would highly recommend you dont waste your money and time with this company. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. I bought a Movado watch a couple years ago, their warranties are terrible. Brought it in 3 months ago to get repaired, had to call in to find out nothing had been done about it. Bought a gold necklace and it fell apart within 8 months
Hey guys I get its the pandemic.But when I come in on my Anniversary to get my $8k wifes ring inspected, this is not the proper greeting. Im going to need you to wear a mask.And then when I explain that Im here for a cleaning and inspection. Oh we dont do cleanings now, a lot is different during the pandemic.I guess $8k doesnt buy what it used to, might I suggest what Costco says (where Ive never spent $8k!).Sir, can I offer you a mask?Why yes thank you I always say.Might I also suggest if your training doesnt get better you will wonder one day why you also closed and the internet continues to grow.

I lost a diamond out of it recently and I went to my local Jared in Saint Louis let’s just say that wasn’t a good experience. So when I was home for thanksgiving I went in to the Jordan Creek location to get the service I know and love. I have worked with Kyle M and his jeweler Rich for a long time and once again they made it my day! Not only is my ring fixed. It looks brand new! Every single prong was inspected and repaired. It means a lot to me that they heard my concerns and they took my desires for my ring and made the repair a reality. I also wanted to say Kyle has continued to impress me with his professional care and attention to all my jewelry desires. These earrings were picked out 7.5 years ago for my wedding and they have been worn almost everyday since. THE MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE at the Jordan Creek location. I went in and picked out a beautiful engagement ring. I was then basically harassed with phone calls for several months about purchasing the ring. I didn’t know how to tell the sales clerk, I wasn’t going to push my boyfriend into the proposal! So after a few months passed...My now fiancé went in to pick up the ring I picked out and planned the surprise proposal. The staff showed him my previous engagement ring from 10 years ago, so he got the wrong ring! When we went back in to fix it, they again showed us both a photo of the wrong ring. On my third physical visit to the store to sort things out, they did locate the correct ring photos taken with an obviously more current date.I was then told they had only one left of the correct ring, located at another store, and would have it sent right over within 48 hours. A week or so went by with NO COMMUNICATION from the store. I finally called to get a status and THEN they informed me the ring was NO LONGER AVAILABLE.We will definitely be taking our ring purchase to another jeweler. Thanks for dampening this experience for us.
Do not buy anything from here. They are running it like a prison and making it impossible for you to get whats yours
I have had multiple custom pieces made at the west Des Moines location. I have made more than 25 visits to this store for various reasons- service, cleaning, shopping, consulting on my designs, etc. I have never been treated poorly. Everyone has always treated me like I was the most important customer in the store. If you are shopping, it’s worth your time to stop in and see them.
Jared busted my engagement ring while soldering it to my bands. Kyle never informed me that the manufacturer couldnt make the same one. I then went back into Kyle and had to pick out a new ring and asked him to send it to a closer location. I called 3 days before my wedding and they forgot to ship it out. Dont go to Jared- Through out the whole process their customer service was awful, Not once did they call and keep me informed.
We had went to another jewelry store to have a ring sized. They had it 3 weeks and couldnt make it smaller, we think they forgot about calling us. We had to call them to find our what happened to the ring. They didnt even clean the ring before we got it back. Stopped into Jared on Friday night and Gina was a great help. She took the ring back to the jeweler to see what could be done. They suggested to add gold knobs on the inside of the ring to tighten the fit. It was completed in less than 24 hrs. Thank you to the Jared staff for being friendly, efficient and going above and beyond to take care of my wifes ring. It fits great now and sparkles again! Also, thanks for cleaning mine up as well. My sister and I were especially impressed with the assistant general manager, Kyle Meinecke. I absolutely LOVE this Jared! I had such a fabulous time shopping here. I had some broken jewelry that I needed to get repaired and the sales associate, Nick, took really good care of me! He took in my jewelry in a timely fashion, provided more than enough information on what kind of work was needed, and I got my jewelry back the same time he told me it was going to be done! Not only that, but Nick also helped me shop around for matching jewelry to complete my look. Nick wasnt too pushy, he took as much time as I needed to look around and answered all of my questions. He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgable. We actually ended up doing a custom piece of jewelry and it turned out even better than I expected!! I will always return to Nick for future purchases and recommend to everyone else to go visit him!
Went to about 10 different stores looking for an engagement ring, Jared was by far the best! I ended up getting a custom ring and they were extremely helpful throughout the process. Matthew was the manager that helped me and went above and beyond even talking to me while he was on vacation. The ring was absolutely beautiful and we couldnt be happier. After searching for the exact wedding ring I had to sell during hard times I settled with a nice mounting. the day I planned on picking it up the sales lady, knowing it wasnt the one I wanted suggested me to look at the mountings they had in their show. I did and if you guessed I found my original semi-mount your right. I am so happy!
My husband purchased my wedding rings as a set from Jareds. They were also sized as a set, that went fine.When we took my ring in to be soldered they did a terrible job. It was so unprofessional looking I was immediately very angry. The worst was that they were trying to pass this terrible work off as quality work.There were uneven gaps between the bands and it had deep marks along the band from clamping. The three rings were no longer lined up, this has made my ring much smaller. I expressed my unhappiness and they said they would redo it.The jeweler I dealt with seemed very apprehensive as if I were the one being too critical. I was spoken to with obvious annoyance.When I returned the next week to pick up my ring, the flaws were better, but still very apparent. There was also a deep scratch along one band. I expressed my disappointment at the quality of work that had been done and I was told that I had unrealistic expectations.I took my ring to a private jeweler for a second opinion and I was told that I did in fact receive less than acceptable service. The jeweler explained to me everything that was wrong and what needed to be done for the ring to be repaired. I have to go through Jareds to keep my extended warranty but I will never purchase another item from them.
After months of shopping multiple jewelers in the Cedar Rapids & Des Moines markets we decided to stop into the Jarreds in the Jordan Creek Mall.We had just spent a few hours at Iowa Diamond (which was great as well). We had the pleasure of getting to know Kyle during our trip. He was very helpful. He respected our budget and steered us in the direction we were looking.Kyle found a diamond in their system that matched all of our wants and got the diamond shipped to the store in 3 days! Their price was significantly lower than ANY other diamond store we visited.He texted me the minute the diamond arrived at the store and was well prepared when I walked in the door to see the diamond.I would HIGHLY recommend going to Jarred if you are looking for the highest quality with the lowest cost. I was extremely skeptical going to the big box jeweler but they overcame by highest expectation...Ask for Kyle. You will be doing yourself a favor!Kevin

Took my watch in to have the band replaced and its been over 3 months since I dropped it off. Then was told I would have to pay for it although its under warranty.When they finally figured out their mistake, I was then informed that it would be at least 4 to 6 more weeks.
The staff were courteous and professional. They didnt try to push or upset me but respected the budget I came in with and communicated to them. Unfortunately, I have had the bracelet back into the shop twice in the first three months of owning it. Since I purchased the extended warranty it doesnt cost me anything financially but it does cost in frustration and time. Overall, a pleasant buying experience but a disappointing owning experience so far.
My fiance bought my engagement ring at this Jared store. After he proposed, we wanted to make a change in the center stone to get one with a better clarity. I can be very indecisive, and the managers we worked with (Chris, Matt, & Kyle) were so incredibly patient and helpful. I cannot thank them enough for all of the hard work they put into making my ring absolutely perfect. Through phone calls and in person consultations, they were always right there to help us! I used to shop at Jared all the time and have spent thousands of dollars at Jared. The staff was great and treated me with respect . Im sad to say I will not shop there again . I always paid off my account with in a month or so and I was late one time on paying it off in full so they charged me a late fee I went a head and paid that then they charged my a late fee again for not paying the late fee on time which was not late (Remember I paid off the bill) I called Jared and all they said was sorry we cant do anything about it and sorry we are losing you as a customer Yep Im sorry alsoTharren Keith
Bought engagement ring there and has lifetime warranty as long as I bring it in every 6 months to be cleaned. Great deal, great service, friendly people. Going there today to look at wedding bands and get a cleaning done. Highly recommended

STAY AWAY!!!This has by far been the worst experience ever dealing with a company. When they wanted my money, everyone was nice and accommodating. Found the ring I wanted and had it within 2 days. Since then its been a nightmare. The stone almost instantly became loose, then it was fixed, and since then weve been back in multiple times because it keeps coming loose. Each time I am told that its inspected by multiple people before it goes back to the customer. Now, I am told it keeps coming loose because of an abrasion in the diamond...so in all of the times I brought it in before, all of these parties that look at it before it is allowed to leave happen to miss it. SO now they are going to replace the diamond but I am told 30 days. So when they wanted my money, everything happened fast, and now that they have my money, they will take their sweet time. The ring has spent more time off of my fiancées hand than on it. This has been a black cloud over what should be the most amazing time for my fiancée and I. Asked if we could just get our money back and they wont budge, wont make any exceptions...just hide behind their guarantee. All they can guarantee if that you have to suffer their crappy work, horrible timeliness, and no care at all for customer satisfaction.Take your money somewhere else, where your business will actually be appreciated.

I have a beautiful set from Jareds, the band was custom to match the engagement ring. Slight miscommunications during the customization process. One day when I was there someone had a problem with their ring. Jareds hadnt properly documented her inspections so they didnt want to cover the diamond repair. I believe she had her slips at home (two hours away) luckily. This just happened to me. Although knock on wood nothing is wrong with my ring... Wedding was called off. I had an inspection in July 2016 and then after the split I got it cleaned and inspected before putting it in the safe. That was late Sept./early Oct. 2016 and what do ya know... they have NO RECORD of it in their system. Just because I had it in the store to be inspected in July doesnt mean they shouldnt input the info into the computer each time its inspected. I live 2 hours away as well so if I am at the mall I would always stop in. Very Disappointing.
Great store! The entire staff was extremely helpful when I purchased jewelry for my girlfriend. They did not pressure me into buying more than what I intended to and I appreciated that.

We had a horrible experience at Jared. We ordered my fiancés ring two months prior to our wedding. A week before our wedding I contacted Jared and found out that my fiancés ring had been cancelled due to a hurricane. No one called us to let us know that we would need to reorder. There was a deposit check sent back to our prior mailing address because we had moved in the two month span. My husband wore a rubber ring on our wedding day. Thank you Jared.

I have my jewelry serviced regularly at the shop inside the West Des Moines store. The manager at this shop is so professional and quite talented. She listens to any problems I have with my settings, then she calls me and reviews any repairs that need to be done. The work she does is always beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this shop to everyone!

Took my wedding band in to get it resized after having it for a couple months, and it came back completely ruined. They handed it to me like there was nothing wrong with it but it was visably damaged. The finish on it was not the same, if you set it on a flat surface it rocked, the edges were no longer straight, etc. As soon as I mentioned the above they said they would reorder me another one. Waited two weeks and went to pick it up when it was in to find out the one they ordered was nothing like my original, not even close. Waited another two weeks and finally got the right ring in to go in. Had to hand over my original wedding ring to the company that ruined it.

We came to Jared to look for an engagement ring. We wear professional clothes most days so we normally wear sweats during the weekend. Im not quite sure why we were completely ignored the entire time we were there but I noticed that no one seem to acknowledge us even when we asked for help. The sales people informed us to wait but after 15 minutes I began looking around myself. My boyfriend was upset bc after about 30+ minutes of trying to get someones attention, we finally left. Im so disappointed in the service. Im still not quite sure what we did wrong.

TL;DR: Condescending and ignorant.I recently purchased a 1.5 karat moissanite engagement ring online. I got a great deal since the moissanite itself was of inferior clarity. I then purchased a separate loose 1.5 karat moissanite replacement stone of perfect clarity in order to get the stones exchanged. So I had an engagement ring with an inferior moissanite setting and a separate loose moissanite.I took the engagement ring and loose stone to Jared at Jordan Creek since I knew that they do settings on-location. The woman I spoke to treated me condescendingly after I told her that the loose stone was not a diamond (I hadnt yet told her that the engagement ring stone was also not a diamond). She did tests on the engagement ring stone and found that it was a diamond (which is incorrect), then asked me, Why would you want to replace such a beautiful diamond with a fake stone?She took the engagement ring and showed it to the jewelers in the back, which was still within earshot, and I heard them speaking mockingly about my situation. Ultimately, the jewelers refused to work on my ring because it wasnt an actual gemstone, stating falsely that the moissanite was not durable enough to withstand the heat and chemicals needed in order to replace the setting.In addition to the fact that its clarity and shimmer outshines diamond, moissanite has a higher vaporization temperature (heat resistance) than diamond, as well as higher toughness (chip resistance) than diamond. The only area in which moissanite is inferior is hardness (scratch resistance), in which it is a mere 5% softer than diamond. The jewelers stated that they would be willing to work with other real stones such as ruby and emerald, which is ridiculous since the durability of those stones pales in comparison to moissanite.It is therefore my conclusion that not only does this particular Jared have poor customer care, but it also exhibits ignorance as to the structure of gemstones. That, or they are simply too pretentious to handle gems that could been seen as beneath them.
1. Last weekend this store gave me 100 dollars worth of points for every 500 dollars I spent. I spent $1500.00 and didnt find out until later that I had to spend $300 more to redeem every $100 worth of points I received. They didnt even mention my points expired within a month (end of the year).2. The platinum wedding band I bought had scratches in it that I didnt notice until I got home that night. If I wanted a used ring I would have gone to a pawn shop.3. The ring I bought for my fiance as a present turned out to be silver and not white gold like I was told.4. I bought a jewelry box thinking I would get a new one and they packed up the display model (the lock was messed up when I got it home).5. I ended up buying having to buy a 900 dollar Movado watch to redeem my 300 dollars in points and they didnt even fill out the authorized warranty card.$2300.00 or so later I was not very happy. I wont go back for any reason. Ill probably end up going to Ames Silversmithing or Riddles to get my brand new Platinum band fixed. It makes me upset just to think about it.
I had my engagement ring resized twice. The first experience was great. They gave me an estimate of 4 hours until it would be finished. I came back 3 hours later and to my delight it was finished. The associate that helped me was very friendly.However, a couple days later I realized the ring was still too large. I called to see if it was possible to have it resized free of charge since it has only been a couple days. The associate I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and told me that they would do it free of charge because its hard to determine the correct size of your finger during hot and humid summer weather. Following his response I went back in to have it resized. This customer service experience was one of the worst Ive ever had. I waited for at least 10 minutes before I was helped, no one else was in line. The associate was completely rude. She gave me a wait time of approximately 4 hours. Like before, I went back in 3 hours to check on my ring. I had a different associate this time and her exact words to me were The ring is not due until 7pm, so I can tell you right now its not done. When I explained that last time it was done an hour early so Id appreciate it if she could go check on it for me she said I dont need to check because I know its not done. Come back at 7.Todays experience showed me that this Jareds store solely cares about sales, not about the customer. If they arent getting money then they do not care.
Terrible! Walked in, walked around, and couldn’t get anyone to help us even though they had a lot of staff on hand that weren’t assisting anyone. They were all standing around talking to each other. Walked out and went to Kay’s for our purchase.

Jareds is trying to sell you a ring, they are not trying to find the ring that you want. We told them we were on a budget and talked them and they said they would call us with a estimate. Its been 2 months and havent gotten a call. Probably because we were low profit.If your in the area, go to Ames Silver Smith. The service is 1000x better than Jareds.

Would not buy anything from them again..also will close my account, purchased a watch wanted to return it a week later I was told cannot be done because links were removed, even when their return policy is 30 days only wore it for one day, and be aware that any watch that the sell it can be purchased new for about 50% - 75% less new on Ebay.
