A very good place for allkinds of grocery! They also have some very good food options. They serve Stir Fry, Asian, Pizza, Burger and some more food options! The grocery and produce options are huge. The prices are very reasonable.

Need to lower their price, they were to start raising prices at the beginning of covid 19. They over price so shop mostly at Fareway and Walmart.

Massive place and a great selection. Bathrooms are as far away from the superchargers as possible, but I needed to stretch my legs and get things to drink! As always, thank you for having fast charging stations! They also have a Starbucks here too.

I shop here because it’s close to my house, but on three separate occasions I’ve returned home with items that are either expired, moldy or both. Their produce looks like they dug it out of the rejected bin at price chopper and they hardly have anyone working the floor to help you find items. The convenience based on the location isn’t worth it, especially for the premium price. Go to another Hy-Vee if anything

Staff is very helpful. If theres an issue for shopping in person, sometimes its hard to get around people stocking the shelves--but it has to be done sometime.

Well stocked, clean store, friendly employees. Even when its busy its a quick in and out if thats what youre in to. The pharmacy is also great. I like the selection of non-grocery items this store offers. The layout is weird to me but I kind of like how it is organized.

The kitchen food is very inconsistent. Different recipes by different people and today the sesame chicken was extremely overcooked and almost black and you allowed it be served. The different recipes especially on the Chinese food needs to be consistent across the board.

This review is in regard to the Asian cuisine only. Over the past 15+ years, we have enjoyed the Asian cuisine at the Hy-Vee Jordan Creek. Honestly, we didnt go during the past 1 1/2 years as we tried to support local restaurants. Since we were in the area, we decided to order take out from the Asian area. For one thing, we didnt see the Asian chef who always made the best food. That should have been our first hint that the food wouldnt taste the same. The staff were pleasant, but the food was bland. The orange chicken had no flavor of orange and had no spicy flavor.

Hy-Vee location is in West Des Moines. There is Starbucks inside, a banking branch, Postal service, Chinese, salad bar and much more. Groceries of course and handicap accessible.

Love the salads. They go great with the Dan Gable beer. All the employees seem happy to be there and it shows they interact with the customers.

Each time I visited this store the staff was friendly and the store was super clean! One of the best stores I have visited.

The Hy-Vee gas stations offer more selections, are cleaner and the staff friendlier than almost everywhere else!

Hy-Vee is one of the best grocery store chains I have ever been in- and I have been in a lot! It is is always so clean and they offer amazing-oftentimes unique- food selections. I love the layout of the store and how they have a health section for organic foods/vegan foods/gluten free foods/etc. They have an AWESOME wine and spirits sections which I love. And I also love the beauty bar area with “homemade” type soaps and bath bombs and such. They have great self checkout machines and cashiers alike. Also have a USPS and Starbucks inside- what more could you ask for!! Truly great and I love Hy-Vee!!

Everyone here is so helpful & kind. Dan does an amazing job, i can always tell when he has been working outside with the carts, i hope his manager tells him what a great employee and hard worker he is

This is the ONLY location in central Iowa that has an abundance of canned cat food. Many other locations have slim to none to choose from. What the Hell? ! Force me to go to Walmart.

Very disappointed that they don’t require masks (that are scientifically proven to reduce communication of COVID) in the midst of a global pandemic. Your mask protects the people around you more than yourself. So people saying, “if you’re so worried, wear a mask yourself,” that protection is not enough. The people around you need to be wearing them as well. I don’t shop here anymore because of this. I feel bad for the employees, as they are not being protected. I don’t understand why mask wearing has become a political statement. It’s very sad.

Slowest pharmacy service ever. Every staff member moves at the speed of a snail and look so sad. If you’re getting a COVID vaccine, specially, don’t come to this location.

This Usps in hyvee belittled my wife when she went to send a package overseas to me. The individual first said she couldn’t help her because she didn’t know how to do it. Then told my wife she had the wrong address and that I would need to speak to my commanding officer to get the correct address. This employee talked down to my wife to the point that she started to cry because all she wanted to do was send me a Valentine’s Day gift while I am 4500 miles away from home. I can tell you the way you talked to my wife was unacceptable and I will never forget this experience my wife went through.

We ate breakfast here and had a very nice hostess that waited on us. Very pleasant and the breakfast was very good.

It was great like always, that store on 74th is the best.

We lived near the grand hyvee. It was much smaller, not as busy, the employees were so nice, and I knew where everything was. We moved by Jordan creek. This hyvee is very big, extremely busy, some employees were kind of shut off when needing help finding something. Also one employee in the Chinese food does not wash her hands. I saw her walk right out from the restroom. When I talked to someone about it, they said that she has been asked to wash her hands by management, but never will. So basically she goes to the bathroom and then serves people Chinese food. I just kind of miss my simple hyvee store. I can be in and out. I will still go here, because I live right by it, but just not the same.

Best shopping experience

HyVee is clean, bright, well stocked and staffed by great people. I like the self checkout for small orders and have used the pickup service. The pickup service is great for seniors of those with small children, especially in the covid era.Meat is fantastic and produce is very fresh. Seem to carry whatever I need and have a good selection to choose from.

My wife and I love this Hy-Vee for the postal service and how polite the employees are. We also find a lot of good deals and stuff that most other Hy-Vees dont have.

Overall, a good store. I like the freshness and friendliness of the staff. I think certain days deal are great (like all you can eat salad bar for $6 on Tues/Thurs) but overall prices tend to skew high. Im not sure how anyone fills up a cart as a conscientious consumer as it would be rare for more than a handful of deals to be comparable or beat local competitors. Not to be overly predictive, but the death of retail like Hy-Vee will be the pull-up/online ordering, based on competitive pricing. But today is not that day!

This is a great location. I like going here to get the things I need. The meat and produce are great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The liquor department is one of the best in the area. you can even order through the market grille and they will bring the food out to your car. Very convenient, when the weather is bad or youre in a rush.

I had a confirmed appointment for the Covid-19 vaccination at 4:15 today. Upon arrival, I was told they had a problem with scheduling and I wouldnt get the shot. I was disappointed with their lack of follow through. I am very unhappy.

Helpful smile in every isle. The West Lakes store can be very busy on the weekends, but the staff does a great job at keeping the shelves stocked and the isles clean. The managers never let the lines at checkout ever get more than two deep. An added bonus for families with young children is that this store has an individual walking around making balloon animals on Saturday.

Would give 5 stars if womens bathroom was clean. Good produce. Good meat. Good wine/ liquor prices. Checkout folks are always kind and super sweet to the kids.

I think there Deli hot food is really overpriced!! If it was good I wouldnt care.There fried chicken is just all crust and so dry. Even a breast is nothing but crust. Its that way every time!! My husband loves the salad bar, but they need to fix that chicken!!!

There’s a huge selection of vegan items in the health market at this location, including some interesting locally made items like dairy-free cheese. Quite a nice place to load up on foodstuffs and admire the floor tiles.
