The best tacos in town, period! They are consistently hot and good.

I havent been to Des Moines in 20 years and the tacos are just like I remembered! The original flour is still the best!

Love Tasty Tacos!!!!! Hot, fast, and fresh every time. We keep getting the steak tacos and so delicious. The steak is so tender and theres a lot of it on your taco. We also love the flour taco chips with the white Queso cheese sauce.

We were finally able to eat inside!! I absolutely love that they sell their seasoning and salsa in stores. We were shocked how good it turned out and it has now turned into a weekly meal at home.

Food is always good here. My favorite is the steak flour tacos and the tasty taters. Always got to get them with the hot sauce. It has been one of my favorite spots for lunch time I highly recommend this place.

I ordered 20 tacos for several people. Theyve always put them in bags so it was easy to deliver. Tonight they put them in a great big aluminum tin and didnt even bother to put 2 tacos in a tray together. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. I had to ask the people to put them in their own bag and these are elderly and disabled people. I WILL NEVER GO TO THE SE 14TH TASTY TACOS AGAIN. EVER !!!!

My family and I went and had it. My husband had 3 steak tacos he wasnt a fan my daughter had a corn dog and onion rings wasnt a fan I had a beef taco salad it was OK, But he said that his Steak taco is better and bigger in South Omaha where were from they know what season is this place used no seasoning ..theres no salt and pepper or anything oh no we cant have that and my husband from Texas he said ima done we can go .

Horrible customer service that over charges you and when they screw up the order, they really don’t want to give you your money back when they type in the wrong order that is considerably more expensive than what you even ordered. Please spare yourself the nightmare of this place and don’t ever go here. P.S the food isn’t that great either.

If you dont know this place, you need to.A bit more expensive than the usual taco places, but there is a lot to them.The Original is a fried bread type of shell with meat, beans, lettuce and cheese stuffed inside. (Dont forget to get the salsa.)They also have a lot of other menu items to choose from.A local favorite that hits a home run every time.

No matter which location you go to the food is consistent and amazing!

Use to eat here all the time when we lived there. Was in town and ofcourse we stopped there to eat. The food was not near as good as it use to be. Was told new owners, well they should have gotten the recipe from the old owners. Tacos did not even come close to having the flavor they use to. In fact there was no flavor..very disappointed...use to make special trips to des moines just to eat some tasty tacos but tasty does not describe them anymore. 😪

Oh Tasty Taco. This is my go to fluffy flour taco joint. Whenever I am back in Des Moines I try to swing by and pick up a few. I havent found another place that serves flour tacos like these. Perhaps it is nostalgia from my childhood or its just because they are so dang tasty. I highly recommend trying these out with the house mild salsa and some sour cream. Try this place out especially if you have never had a deep fried fluffy flour taco.

The guy taking orders was very rude, said he couldnt take my bill bc he didnt have enough change but yet it was mid day, then machine wouldnt accept card but then I was charged on my card even though I paid cash for my meal after leaving to run across street to get my bill changed out so I could have small enough bills that they could take! The whole time the guy was showing rude gestures and sighing. Made me feel like I was someone who couldnt pay for what I ordered even though I actually paid 2 times for a meal that wasnt even fresh. Where are the kind employees at any more?

I have been going to this location for easily 20 years. The food is generally good and consistent. On my last visit I was told they wouldnt accept my $50 bill. Oh well, plenty of other establishments are happy to take my money. Not sure if Ill return.

The tacos are tasty, but vastly overpriced. $2.50 for one taco? Weird. A little bit bland. The salad was literally lettuce and cheese. They only have ranch dressing. The salsa and hot sauce is not spicy.

Tasty Tacos is iconic to Des Moines. Current locals love it, and former locals (like me) crave it. The atmosphere is no where near fancy, but if Im looking for an American twist on Mexican fast food when visiting Des Moines, Tasty Tacos is my go-to. I can appreciate that their staff gets a day off, but I wish they were open on Sundays!

I have loved Tasty Tacos for over 30 years!! I love the Iowa twist they put on authentic Mexican items (yellow cheese, chili, deep fried flour tortillas). I have tried just about everything. The flour tacos are a MUST. I also love their version of an enchilada, as well as the burrito with chili. YUM!!! I remember back in the early 90s, they used to have a great pork tenderloin sandwich. I wish they would bring those back. If you havent been to Tasty Tacos.....RUN to your nearest location.

Prices are ridiculous, but I treat myself at least once every other month!! The lady behind the counter was very nice! However, the white guy who came out of the kitchen to give us the food was NOT so nice. He needs to learn to deal with the public with a little bit of personality and humor-- lighten up a bit!! However, I still give them 4 stars because the food was hot, quick and DELICIOUS, as always!! 😋

Got asked to leave because of the kids by a lady in the back. That was after a guy already counted us. How are they going to order it they cant look at the menu! Im not going to leave my kids in the car by their selves. There were other families in the store and couples. I wont be back! We went down the road to Taco Bell and got awesome service.

I love the food

This place is popular. Lots of people must like it because there has been lots of locations added and old ones remodeled over the last 5 years or so all over the greater metro area. All this time I never got around to trying it. Have always been a Taco Bell and TJs guy. I finally tried it out. I liked the flour shell....almost as much as the chalupa one at Taco Bell (my all time favorite). Im not a bean guy, and prefer tacos without them. They charge 3.25 their tacos. For that price I think you should be able to add tomatoes and sour cream at no extra charge. Overall it wasnt bad...just not great for me.

Tasty tacos is amazing. The food takes a decent amount of time to cook but youre not waiting forever. They have a wide variety or choices from tacos to nachos to sweets. Their merchandise (shirts and jackets) are high quality and worth significantly more than what they are selling at. I have and always will live tasty tacos specifically the puffy tacos or flour tacos.

Took me a long time to try this place. I figured if you had to tell me you tacos are tasty, they probably arent. Boy was I wrong. I should have trusted the sign.

I love the food at Tasty Tacos. The only reason I gave Tasty Tacos a 4 and not a 5 is because their side salad is not really a salad, its shredded iceberg lettuce, topped with shredded cheese & sour cream. Same with their taco salads but in a very small tortilla bowl with beef and chilli or chicken. No other veggies in their salads at all, not even tomatoes. But its still one of my very favorite quick serve restaurants.
