The food was fairly good. But didn’t get exactly what I ordered for, they seemed understaffed, so I didn’t want to be another burden on the nice waitress. Food took a little longer than expected, but overall, it was fairly good. Would definitely try it again. I really liked the old fashioned diner style vibe for the inside dining area.

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. I highly enjoyed the blue max burger, bacon perfectly crisped up as requested. The kids sundae was still huge, in my opinion, and oh so delicious. It did feel at times like the staff forgot about us, but otherwise it was a wonderful time and I can see myself going back :) Plus, how can you beat breakfast all day?!

For a Jersey boy, who enjoys a good dinner, this place was better than expected. The dining space is comfy both inside and outside. The menu is basic dinner fare (saw breakfast menu, only). Food was very good, presentation nice, and portions generous. Serving staff was friendly and attentive even on a busy Sunday morning. If you are in West Hartford and need a place for breakfast, this is a sure bet.

Nice classic West Hartford spot. Ive been here a lot ever since I was a kid. Decent food, but even better ice cream cause they make it all on site.Great place to go cause of the old fashioned diner feel, but also cause of the very nice staff.I like how they have a counter you can sit at, booths, and outdoor patio seating as well.Plenty of parking, and lots of other places to check out around the area too.

Management has absolutely no idea what they are doing. Highly understaffed, disgusting plates, way overpriced, and smells like garbage. Family friendly? Their staff all look and act like they hate their lives and their managers. Many people treated poorly and food just not worth all that money. Plenty of other diners where they actually take care of their peopleDo not eat here if you don’t want food poisoning. Rotten strawberries, chicken, lettuce, and bananas. Literal mold and they think “cutting around it” is fine

We went for breakfast this past Sunday. When we got there, there were a few people in line, who had been waiting in line for a while. When I asked an employee why people were waiting, they stated they didn’t want to seat people until they were caught up on their orders and wanted to make sure they could make sure orders were hot when they came out. However, they did accommodate my request to be seated. Nevertheless, the food was hot & good. I had scrambled eggs with toast. My son had french toast, and an omelet with grilled hash browns. He said he enjoyed the meal. The waitress we had was very nice and provided excellent customer service. All-in-all, this was my first time there, and besides the seating issue, it’s a great place to eat.

I live down the street and have ordered from them a million times. The food is very basic and not something I would go out of my way for, but it’s good enough that I will pick up a meal now and then. I frequently order bacon egg and cheeses in the mornings for breakfast. Their ice cream is very good but extremely overpriced. I understand that they are supposedly ranked the number one ice cream in the state, but the price for a milkshake is insanely high. I’m giving the place four stars for reliability and consistency, decent prices for their food, and a friendly staff (all basically high school and college kids who are working part time). I love their tie die shirts! They brighten the place up and are a nice change from the regular employee getups.

Ive been to A. C. Petersens twice for brunch and I enjoyed the experience both times. Seating is quick and socially distanced and all of the tables have hand sanitizer for your use. The brunch menu is good and filling - great for a weekday afternoon when other places have stopped serving breakfast.The owner has been there both times along with a cook & waitress, and it seems to run smoothly. We havent had to wait more than 20 minutes for our food contrary to other reviews I was reading for the restaurant.

The place is so American, nice style and nice people. The food was good but too tiny burgueses, I was expecting big size, but good flavor. We didn’t try the ice cream but I saw to many people coming just for the ice cream so we’ll try another day. I came back 2 or 3 times I tried the ice cream and l liked it, l tried the breakfast and l liked it. My conclusion is the place is good for have breakfasts and eat ice cream.

Consistently slow table service. Our check always takes around 20 minutes to get to us after asking for it. Food is decent. Wait staff is pretty bad overall, not trained on their menu. Ice cream is great, I wish theyd just stick to that.

Had to wait 45 minutes for the waitress even to show up and take our drink orders, another 10 to get an extra menu we asked for and another 20 to get one milkshake that wasnt even the flavor I ordered. Outraged by the fact I paid $8 for an average nothing special milkshake they couldnt even get right. For the price to service/food quality ratio I dont know how theyre even in business. When I mentioned how slow it is, a friend mentioned how thats how it usually is. I honestly dont understand how they even have a single good review. For the record this is my ONLY one star review to date.

Tonighta service was the epitome of slow service. The food was good but the server never came back to check in on us and she never brought the check. I had to walk up to pay, got a look from the server and no my apologies. She was the only waitstaff visible.

It’s unbelievable how this business remains open. We sat down, and the waitress takes our order. We’ve waited nearly an hour before I decided to get up and leave.The waitress never once came back to our table to update us on the order. Mind you at this point, it has been nearly an hour from the time I placed my order. Additionally, I’ve noticed there were people who have gotten there before me who had not gotten their order.Never will I visit this business establishment again. They need to hire additional cooks and expand their cooking area.

The food is pretty good, and the dining experience is nice. Employees are all good people. But my dissatisfaction comes from the fact that I actually worked there for a month before they stopped scheduling me. I had spoken to the manager and they made it clear it had nothing to do with my performance, and assured me I would be scheduled as soon as they could. That was the last I ever head. This was during a time I was struggling and I made sure they knew that. They eventually just forgot I worked there so I had to move on. Aside from this, Ive heard multiple accounts of disrespectful behavior towards from past employees, so think about if you want to support such behavior.

A.C. Peterson Farms exists as a long standing gem of the Park Lane area of West Hartford. They serve awesome American cuisine; Breakfast and Dinner all day long. We love the chicken and waffles and the burgers. Beyond the proper menu, A.C. Peterson Farms serves the best ice cream and sorbet on the planet. The ice cream is real all dairy ice cream and always will be. Yep I am a lifelong fan. The lemon sorbet has real lemon zest and a hint of real nutmeg -- 100% authentic sorbet.

On a hot summer evening, Petersons is the perfect place to cool off with ice cream. Lots of unique flavors to tantalize the palate. Difficult to make a choice, but you can always visit again next week. This time I tried a scoop of the almond joy ice cream with a scoop of the coffee ice cream. It was the perfect pairing indeed! Highly recommend Petersens!

This place was amazing!!! The food was good and super fresh, like the stuff from the salads felt super fresh and the food was a good temperature and came out reasonably quick. We went at a time when not a lot of people were there. However, the ice cream was also amazing, and all the food was super filling. The inside was also super adorable.
