Some staff is very helpful and will gonout of their way to help while others have attitude and are rude. They never seem to have enough registers open and issues with self check. Watch the prices when you scan an item, sales prices dont always come up and customer service is usually busy and not friendly

They need to check theyre blueberries, taste off. Sorry Stop &Shop gotta tell ya the truth. Your fruit needs to be more naturally ripe. 👍

Terrible. Its expensive, and they have taken away the small hand baskets. That is a dirty psychological trick to get you to buy more stuff and its very inconvenient. I live just around the corner but I would rather take a longer drive to avoid this supermarket, as there are many much better options that have better quality products at better prices.

Some prices were a little higher, but, for the most part it evens out . Starbucks employees are awesome, too, as are most of the employees at Stop and Shop

The store was clean and very well stocked. Was able to get all that I wanted. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Very clean and has everything you need but fish department is not so good as the rest of the store. Ive bought fish and both times it was bad and spoiled. Even the area has a very bad smell not just your typical fish smell but u can tell its rotten and thats been alot of times. If not for that I wouldve given it 5 stars

I gave you guys 5 stars now its 2 stars. I came in here today and everything was going great. When it was time to self checkout the lady there was no help at all. She kept blaming the computers. She didnt even attempt to help me. Worst experience Ive ever had here !!!!!!

They need to get rid of that disgusting bottle and can return room. No baskets for small shopping. Ridiculous.

Mostly everything they sell compared to Shop Rite is over priced. That said, they have a friendly staff and quality products but I only buy there when theres a good sale on an item which is rare.

The store is one reason I gave it four stars because I have small issues but Im here to give 10 stars to this wonderful associate named Shannon in the flower departments. I had a lot going on one day last week or two ago, and I was having so much pain and this woman took her time to treat me like a real valued customer and I didnt even have to buy flowers to get her attention and I just wanted to say thank you because you dont see or get that kind of customer service as much anymore and so I wanted Stop and Shop to know that I truly appreciate them for hiring Shannon from the flower department. That day I needed an angel and she was it

We shop here at least 4x/week, sometimes daily, so we clearly find it convenient, user-friendly, and mostly friendly helpful staff.We have been fans of the pharmacy since Scott Silver and his Dad owned Silvers on Main St- he runs a tight ship but sadly you can see the difference when Scott’s not there.I have the same complaints I have seen in other reviews - only 1 entrance ( please don’t say this is Covid related at this point!), often few carts, never any baskets, and too few cash registers open!And last - I have to mention how much I appreciate when a cashier does open a new line, they usually call someone who has been waiting to move to the new line. I haven’t seen this lately because their aren’t many cashiers and instead, I see customers cutting in front of people who are waiting the 6’ distance! No wonder there are fights inside this store!

Stop and shop is generally an annoying experience but the lines are so slow. Somehow they always have lines into each aisle and on top of it there typically less than half the check out lanes open.

It was an excellent shopping experience in. Clean store, lots of items on sale, and helpful employee who offered to bag my items at the Self Check out lane. I had my own bag so I was good, and thanked her for offering to bag my items. The employee at the Help Desk was efficient with my Western Union transaction. I highly recommend shopping at this Stop & Shop in West Haven, CT. Close to Main Street near banks and other shops. Close to highways, too. Equally residential and commercial area.

Just bought this veggie platter a hour ago. Came home to eat it and when I opened it, it was slimy, the veggies were bad, and basically could only toss it. There goes my healthy snack. Next time I will open it right in the store

One of the best stores Ive ever shoped.

I didnt go there for shopping, went there to do bottle return. There was a line and people had multiple large bags. I only had 1 bag to do. I didnt want to wait for the people that was already doing their cans and the four people waiting with their multiple large trash bags. Its not Stop N Shop fault. But it was a little messing in the lobby with a large ladder with no employee right where you walk in to do the can returns. Like I stated I did not go there to shop, you may have a great shopping experience.

This Stop and Shop has a better Attitude than the Milford Stop and Shop. The Employees are Nicer. The only thing is during this time of COV 19 they are not as clean as they should be. In the beginning of the Covid you always saw someone cleaning but not so much now. News Flash the Covid is still here!

Just fine. Everything was stocked and it wasnt crowded. And they actually had enough cashiers do there werent lines half way down the aisles. Prices are crazy though.

This place is dingy and smells like a dirty beer bar towel when you walk in. There is never a polite employee to help you or even say, Hi, what can we help you find? I avoid this place at all costs unless I MUST pick up a prescription or OTC medicine.

The layout is convenient, they tend to have everything when it comes to basic grocery Items (sometimes they even have fancier stuff) and some other things too, like deodorant, plants, and pet items. Customer service is great and isnt overbearing at all. They add more features from time to time and its great! Some bad things is that they had crazy long lines and the prices for some stuff is hit or miss. Its an Overall solid store.

If I could give them no stars I would. I was a loyal customer but I would never shop there again. Stop and shop called the police on me and my kids due to an altercation verbally with another shopper who escaped. The manager decided to press the issue even though the other party left. They have traumatized my 4 year old, 1 year old and 13 year old. All of whom watched as the cops that stop and shop called interrogated me. I will never shop here again

Great store with friendly staff

This store used to be so much better but has really gone down hill during the past year or so. I stop by nightly after work on my way home from the train station to pick up a few things for dinner and lunch the following day. The parking lot is constantly littered with shopping carts. Constantly. My car is newer and Im always a bit apprehensive parking there. There have been numerous windy days that Ive just turned around and left. Just not worth risking a shopping cart hurtling into my car. Most of the guys there that are responsible for the carts have been there for years so Im really not sure why this is such a struggle. I get off of my train at 6:10 PM 5 nights a week and walk into the store at approximately 6:20 PM on said nights. The are never, nor have there ever been, hand baskets at the entrance of this store at this time. NEVER. I have no idea why the management of this store wants my first experience upon entering the door to be aggravation followed by a nightly quest to find a shopping basket underneath the usually very crowded check out stations. I just want to grab a few things and go home. This store is also getting noticeably dirtier, inside and out. I have had many issues with produce that has been allowed to get to cold and or freeze while in storage, particularly bananas and avocados, and ice cream that has clearly melted and been re-frozen. The staff at this store is fantastic and Ive been dealing with many familiar faces for years. That being said the store seems to be greatly lacking management and leadership.

Stop and Shop is a great store to shop at with a big varieties of everything to choose from. But with that comes the prices of selections. But as my father used to say you get what you pay for. Beware of their seafood.

Used to be great... They keep moving stuff and stopped selling a few items I used to purchase.... Keep stuff in the same place so people arent lost looking for stuff every time.... And never any baskets where they belong always have to search around for a little basket

Just came into stop and shop for some of their amazing rotisserie chicken salad. The guys behind the counter were so nice and so friendly. Very helpful and gave me and my cousin a great laugh that was well needed today. Thanks Nate the Great and Shug! You guys are awesome

Same as ever.. $1.68 for a .lb of fresh strawberries so that was nice. Deli meat and cheese always good and tasty. I picked up some scallops for dinner so Im going to go eat. They get 4 out of 5 stars cuz there prices are consistently higher than the others but for me they are close to the house.

Im going to stop and shop for at least 25 years or since the store opened. over the past four years I have gotten prepackaged food that was expired 3 years before, and in their supposedly fresh meat and seafood department I have spent a fortune some days on seafood. When I bought it home, it stunk. 3 experienced times in the past year. And the same with the meat. And they have the rudest butcher ever! No more.

Store needs cleaning especially carts and entryway

I used to go here often as its the closest grocery store to my home. There are 2 entrances. The one on the left side of the store opens into the produce department. It is also a shared entrance to the bottle room. When you enter this way, you are hit with the most vile stench of stale beer, vomit, and Pinesol. It smells like a 25 year old rug in a strip club. Thats what you want to smell when you step into a grocery store. Unfortunately, it is the only useable entrance during COVID so I now go to ShopRite, who had the good sense to make a completely separate entrance to their bottle room.

She is friendly, polite, direct and clear. This is how your staff should be in all shops. Well done Michaela! I suggest you train all others...
