This place can be pretty hit-or-miss.On one hand, it has the most extensive selection of screws, bolts, fasteners, bearings, connectors, pins, nuts, bolts, washers, etc. that I have ever, EVER seen. Almost too much, but maybe, finally, that 1 thing you cant find anywhere else.OTOH I went in 2+ months ago looking for a basic roll of Cat5+ or Cat6 plenum|riser cable, and found nothing. Not just nothing, but the wrong type of wire improperly labeled and stored in the networking section as the Cat6 cable! If I didnt know better, that wouldve been money wasted.Theyve got a great selection of some stuff, and practically nothing of others. Be prepared for delight if you find that rare item you need, or annoyance that they dont have those common things you thought everyone would have.BTW I wouldnt bother asking the employees about anything, unless you get either the tall woman who works on Saturdays, or the slightly heavy bearded guy in a hat.Of the 5-6 people Ive asked for help there, they were the only ones who not only knew what I was talking about, but knew where in the store those things were, and even told me things about them I might not have known.Otherwise I got responses like Um, Im not sure what THHN is or I dont think we carry electrical connectors.Like I said, hit-or-miss.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Last time I was there the helpful blond guy spent a lot of time helping me find my missing debit card. Went about and beyond. I can’t recommend him highly enough. The card turned up in my work truck.I work in construction and need unique parts and supplies to repair antique buildings. They have a vast selection of hard to find parts.
Their selection is top notch especially for their parts area (nuts/bolts/etc..)They also have scrap metal, plastic pieces so if you have small crafts or projects to do you typically wont have to buy a huge stock piece!
Every time I come here there are 2-3 people standing at registers without anyone in line but can’t find anyone on the floor to help locate certain items. This causes me to have to walk all the way back to the front of the store to ask for help. This is when they get on there radio and ask if there is anyone around to help me locate an item. Then I usually have to wait 5min+ to get help instead of them leaving the register and showing me. This happens every time. And every time I do find what I’m looking for or if I don’t and I’m on my way back out of the store the same three people aren’t helping anyone at the register because no one really shops there and they’re just standing there an empty registers. It’s like walking into the twilight zone. Only reason I do go here is when I can’t find something somewhere else hoping that they might have it which is only happened one time out of the five times I’ve been there. I was also asked to leave the store one time when my mask fell below my nose and I explained I couldn’t see where I was going because my breath from my nose was fogging up my glasses. He said sorry so you have to have it all the way pulled up above your nose or you have to leave. That was the final straw!
Great new location! This place is gigantic with a huge selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. All in all they have earned my “Manly Place To Purchase Items”™ seal of approval.
Great hardware store. Came in for fasteners and was not disappointed by the selection!
No lumber and I have yet to find a staff member who knows where in the store I can find simple things - like line trimmer parts. Ill keep trying because its closer than Home Depot. Update: found an employee who thought he knew where something was - he was 50/50. Another employee admitted she didnt know what a backflow preventer was or if they had them At least they were nice.
Always love to go to Parkrose Hardware. I enjoy browsing their selection of flowers and then checking their selection of products. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Nope. You will stand in line at the check out longer than you’re shopping the store. They have great products but the prices are jacked up and I have to force myself to not walk out and leave my full cart in the checkout line because it is painfully, excruciatingly slow. It’s not because of short staff bc I see employed all over the place walking around, NOT opening another register. I have gone here twice and don’t think I’ll be back. I’d rather spend my time doing my stuff than standing in that godforsaken line.
My new favorite hardware store. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about everything and friendly.
First time in this store.... Lots of stuff, from the farm and ranch, to mechanical, to homey. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable..... Great addition to the community.
West Linn is under siege from icy rain. These dedicated, hard-working folk at Parkrose made it in to open the store and offer much-needed services and goods to the neighborhood. Some of them had to walk into work due to the roads being covered in ice. Im impressed and thoroughly grateful. We were able to buy a chainsaw to cut down the tree that landed on our house, and clear trees on the streets. Thank you to all at Parkrose!
Good store - the staff is friendly (when you can find them). Theres a good assortment and even work clothes, which is nice. I will say that the checkout staff always seems very flustered and stressed. Not sure why that is.
They have almost everything you could imagine in a hardware store, including re-screening service. However, I only rated 3 stars as the prices are really high for items that the manufacturer doesnt have MSRP. A plumbing fitting that I needed was out of stock at A-Boy. Parkrose had it at twice the price. A gutter cleaning hose attachment was $11 more than Ace. Most everything else is high here as well.
Amazing selection of hardware! Nut and Bolt selection is the largest Ive seen. O-ring selection is huge! Top notch tools, Stihl, Klein this place has it all. Competitive pricing as well! Ill drive the extra 10 minutes to shop here without a doubt.
I always find what I need here. Friendly and helpful employees! Prices are higherhere than other places.
Awesome store. Support local.
I love having Parkrose Hardware in West Linn! Maybe not as big as Home Depot but they make it up with the great customer service!! Im sure the word will get out about this new store and people will comr.
Great store. Like the original store, with fresh paint and the same great staff and products.
Helpful, friendly staff. Like the layout. Everything I needed for my projects.
Excellent 👌😊😘😊🌍😷🙏🙏
It is an amazing hardware store. Easy to find everything that you are looking for
In all honesty with the experience I had I would give the store a 2, but I’ll explain why I gave it a 5.I went in to get a few items. The clerks did not know where the items were and we looked high and low until it was found. Then at the cash register a product wouldn’t ring up and instead of calling an employee for a price check they had me (customer) go back and find the product to take a picture of the skew number. All in all I would give it a 2 star, but the reason for giving it a 5 is because this is a new store and they’re working and getting everything together, so we as customers also have to be reasonable. I’m going to continue to shop here for my hardware needs, but to the manager you guys need to train employees on locations of certain items and have cash register clerks call for assistance from employees, not customers. The clerk did apologize for the inconvenience and I understand with everything being new. I got what I needed and I’m happy.Thanks.
Great store with lots of inventory and wide variety of items
My favorite hardware store. Always friendly and helpful employees
The employees of this store are absolutely wonderful!
Called ahead and the clerk found what I was looking for and was very helpful. When I arrived the greeter walked right up to me even when I asked him to keep six feet distance- I had to back away and walk around him. I found what I wanted. The cashier did not have her mask covering her nose- she covered her nose when I asked her to.
Nice professional staff, spacious Floorplan helps promote social distancing, well stocked.
Cool hardware store, lots to choose from. Reasonably priced with unique items such as Yeti, Big Green Egg, Traeger, and Carhartt.
No one available to help with paint. Waited around for a few minutes and then called the store to ask for help since the only person I could see working was the poor checker working by herself taking care of customers and still answered the phone to get me help. Kudos for her and a total miss for the rest. Great store but apparently understaffed and not really ready for prime time yet. Also seems a bit pricier than other places for paint.
Litteraly the best hardware shop not a lot of plants otherwise. You can get everything there. You can rent stuff and its better than home depot
Very well set up and they have a lot of items other stores dont have but the prices are a little high.
Great selection, good help, knowledgeable.
We used to live near Parkrose Hardware in NE Portland and have been excited to see it follow us to West Linn. Their staff in NE Portland was always more knowledgeable than the big box stores and they have hard to find parts. The store in West Linn is spacious and appears to be even nicer than the NE Portland version.
Was excited for a local hardware store and they have a great selection... but I just can’t get over how poor the customer service is. 😬
What a beautiful store and great selection.
Beautiful store, wide aisles, well stocked, great selection. Employees were great
Considering this place just opened I think theyre doing a great job. Of course stuck up people from West linn will always complain about something. Welcome to the community!
Huge selection, well laid out store, friendly staff, great products. Cant miss.
