Positive reviews for this shop are fake.I absolutely do not recommend John Gil body shop. The owner, Jaime John Gil is dishonest and predatory.I came to this shop upon the recommendation of my mechanic (I had just been in an accident and called my mechanic for a recommendation), and was totally taken advantage of in my time of need. After my mechanic saw the work they did and how much I was charged, he no longer refers his clients to this company.I had my vehicle towed here after being in a minor accident. My headlights needed to be replaced, and fender reattached. The owner was not there when I dropped off the vehicle. I got a call later that day and the owner stated that it would be $900 (yes, almost $1,000) to do the repair. I told him that I could not afford it and that I would be by to have my vehicle towed elsewhere. He then went on and on about how the insides of the car are bent and that he will have to do a lot of work (I found out later that this was 100% not factual and that my vehicle only suffered body damage, it did not need work on the inside at all). He talked up a big game about the extent of the damage and since my mechanic had recommended him and my mechanic is an honest person who Ive been going to for a long time, I thought that this body shop owner could also be trusted. I was so wrong. After telling me that my car was a wreck and needed a lot of work to re-straighten the insides in order to do the body work, he said that he can do it for $500.I was somebody that had no experience with cars. I had just gotten my license 5 months before and purchased the vehicle used for $1,000. I thought that I had no other choice and that it was an honest price that he was cutting in half for me. So I reluctantly agreed. After the vehicle was ready, I arrived and viewed it. I saw that the bumper was put together by screws and zip ties. No headlight bulbs. The only thing that was replaced was one headlight, which was used. I later learned he got it from a junk yard for $3.I told the owner that I was not happy and his immediate reaction was to threaten to possess my car. I did not feel safe. I paid and left. My car driving away felt like it was going to fall apart and I drove it straight to my mechanic. He looked at it and was in disbelief that I was charged $500, that I was quoted $900. I showed him before pictures of the damage and he stated that he could have put the body together as it was so minor. At most, it was at most a $100 job while factoring in labor. My mechanic replaced the headlight bulbs and put tape over the exposed headlights, since the body shop didnt repair anything.I would not recommend this place because they take advantage of people. The price does not fit the work performed. The owner is predatory and only charged me that price because he saw that I was a lone woman and not knowledgeable.Do not patronize this business unless you want to be scammed by a dishonest, unethical predator.

Bubbles and dirt in paint then physically pushed me on property when I complained. When my fiancé called to discuss events he admitted assualt and called her baby repeatedly. I do not recommend this business unless you are looking for Illegal and unprofessional body detailing. What a disgrace! Save yourself the trouble and get a spray can
