This is a fresh idea and artistic ice cream shop. great modern twist of old american concept.fresh new in house ice cream flavors, fun artistic atmosphere, and a youth art program that encourages and promotes young new talented artists. I love this place. We arrived about a half hour before closing so they were out of some flavors, but I still got some of the best ice cream of my life, and they got us through very quickly, despite the fact I noticed they were training new employees! Please wear a mask and support this place, they deserve it!

Groovy venue, with phenomenal ice cream and sherbet. They have many unique flavors, all made with care. I tried the cucumber lime sherbet, which was just the tangy and refreshing pick-me-up I needed after a hot afternoon walking around Capitol Park. The cherry walnut (I went back for a second) was very toasty and tasted like September.

My wife was mad I made her walk past 3 other ice cream places on a hot afternoon to get to this place. Then the moment the Lavendar Honey Pollen ice cream touched her tongue her life changed. Completely transformed her relationship with ice cream.In a word, transcendental.The raspberry is also really good.The reviews complaining about service arent wrong. Their servers arent trained in the graces of the hospitality industry, but they didnt do anything impolite. And I was a kid that didnt know how to talk to people once too.

Great ice cream, great location (small seating area outside on K), great ambiance inside the shop as well (cool local art, classic ice cream counter). Awesome place to be when there are fairs or parties at the plaza across the street. I also appreciate that they are serious about COVID safety.

Fun flavours that change every day... Thats the theme of Devil May Care. Unique tastes and friendly service plus a cool location in West Sacramento.Their team posts the tastes of the day on social media and you can also get text alerts if youre a die hard fan!Theres limited outdoor only seating and the shop is very small but you can easily park on the street and get your ice cream to enjoy.One classy difference is that their tasting spoons are metal. Classy!Great ice cream and friendly folks!

Phenomenal. I had one of the sundae specials that was listed on the whiteboard. A friend of mine got this enormous ice cream sandwich. While I didnt try it, it looked amazing. A few days later I was taking a nap and had a dream about this ice cream sandwich.

UNREAL Ice cream flavors. Miso Peanut butter is not something I would ever consider but with DMC you just have to say, I TRUST YOU! Ant you will be rewarded with something delicious even if it is not your go to flavor.

This is what DO I and K Street have been missing: craft ice cream made by geniuses using quality ingredients. Scoops or hand-packed pints, shakes and sundaes, floats, even ice cream sandwiches with house baked cookies. Wonderful selection of flavors and they always have vegan and dairy-free options. Cute patio, great for people watching. I predict crowds late into the night on weekends. #nom

Very acceptably decent, which I mean as a compliment. Coming from a snooty snobby ice cream eater. Solid marks for pretty much every important aspect of ice cream. Texture, fat content/chewiness, sugar level, freshness, quality of extra ingredients added, availability of flavors (standard plus unique), and interior/location. Check check check. No outliers to put me off at all and no regrets about spending my weekend splurge calories here.So why a 4 and not a 5? Because while this ice cream is perfectly acceptable, I wouldnt tell you to go out of your way to come here. If youre in the area and want ice cream, this is a very good choice though. So check it out.

They fashi. on their own flavors, so cool . If you have an adventurous pallette and no one seems to satisfy your list for flavor these guys may be your salvation .

A place like this is a dangerous place for someone with a serious sweet tooth and lack of self control. Of course when the kids want ice cream, I fold quickly to their pleading!Thankfully, they chose an awesome place to stop at. DMC is right across the DOCO but is definitely worth the walk to. In addition to a revolving list of flavors, they also carry unique flavors like Miso Cherry and Hot chicken and waffles! On this specific trip we opted to stick with the strawberry plot and a sugar cone.My kids loved their choices and we even got some pins and stickers to celebrate pride. Definitely my new favorite ice cream place around DOCO!

Very good flavored ice cream. The last time I went there however the ice cream scoop felt a little melted and one of the employees seemed a little on edge and no so friendly. However, that was easily overlooked by the yummy flavors I got to enjoy.

Awesome ice cream place! I had an Oreo chocolate dipped cone. It was absolutely amazing. Very nice young ladies working at this shop, kind courteous respectful. Clean bathroom. Convenient location to other eating venues in West Sacramento. Parking is quite Limited. Taking a Lyft is probably recommended. Definitely coming back here for more ice cream after dinner one day. Highly recommended

Not your average ice cream shop. All ice cream is handmade and packed. The price could be considered a little high, but not when you take into account the quality you are getting. Flavors change often, so check in often.

Soooo bomb. I had the ice cream cone flavor ice cream and it was amazing. Awesome service and cool patio area. They will let you try and flavor and they rotate regurally so there is always something new.

We were at Burgers and Brew across the street from this place and decided to stop over for some ice cream. Everything is made in house and the menu is small, but changes throughout the year. We tried the Chocolate Mandarin and Vanilla and found both delicious!

This place has the best ice cream in Sac! Ive been coming here since not long after they opened and have been impressed with their consistency, service, and creativity. The ice cream is very creamy and the flavors are out of this world!The staff are as sweet as their ice cream. My favorites are the cookies and cream combos (MATCHA and double dutch are my fav!) and they always have new and creative flavors to try. Im excited for them to open a 2nd location on K street. PLEASE do yourself a favor and check them out!

Great little place for a wide variety of flavors that Ive never seen anywhere else. Everyone in our party enjoyed the accuracy of the flavors to the name of their ice cream. I would definitely recommend that you try this place even if the temperature outside is 40°.

I love Devil May Care. I consider myself to take the Ice cream eating business seriously, so when I stumbled across Devil May I didnt know what to think the name had me Shook😱 but I went in anyway. The staff was very friendly and offered me samples of any flavor. I decided on the lavender 🍯 honey flavor if Im not mistaking and let me just say. It made sweet sweet love to my taste buds it caressed me and made me feel cherished Devil May is 100 precent that ice cream

This is THE place to go, not only in West Sac, but in California. Jess makes all of his own ice cream and his creativity is unmatched. He is adventurous and he can wow you with each and every flavor he comes up with. Hes always trying new things, he loves his customers and he has a true passion for what he does. You can feel the love the moment you walk into the shop. He uses lots of fresh fruits and tons of unique spices. The vegan options are always outstanding, too! The creamiest vegan sorbet youve EVER had. My family looks forward to seeing whats new each day and sampling each new flavor!

Great service here. I love how they allow you to taste as many flavors as you would like. They usually have very unique flavors and the ice cream is freshly made. The prices are good, the only thing bad thing is that they run out of some flavors pretty quickly. I would call ahead to make sure they still have the ones that they post on their Instagram because I’ve come on two occasions when they’ve run out of the one flavor I was interested in getting.

I got the butter pecan and the matcha mint and I can say it is worth the money, fast service 10/10 would come back again

Hands down one of the best ice cream places Ive tried in Sacramento. Everyone raves about Gunthers but I personally dont find it anything out of this world. Devil May Care, on the other hand, takes flavor to a whole new level. They change their flavors daily and the combinations they come up with are unique as well as delicious. I had a cheese and deli flavor and was blown away by how amazing it tasted (dont knock on it till you try it). I also tried an amazing honey lavender and a caramel flavor too. Their portions fit the price but youll definitely be left wanting to come back again to see what other flavors they come up with.

Cute little Ice Cream Parlor. Service was great, staff was super cool. Seating is VERY limited, with seating only outside. So if that isnt really your thing, or you want ice cream during a rainy day... you might not like it here. Flavors are great as well!

Limited selection of ice cream flavors, hence the four stars, but the ice cream was delicious. Had the peanut butter ice cream which consisted of peanut nutter, butterfingers, Reeses pieces, and peanut butter. It was creamy and soft and delicious. It wasnt overly sweet either, which I appreciated. Ice cream can be too sweet when theres too much candy in it. This was a perfect combination. I will definitely be back for other flavors.

You havent lived until youve tried Honey Lavender Vanilla ice cream! Unbelievable. That place makes smiles. And the staff is super cool (must be the ice cream)! The name is a bit precocious for me, but they got the tip on ice cream. Ill be back and Ill bring my friends. 😋

Homemade ice cream concoctions that will surprise and please most of the ones who will not eat anything else but vanilla. You get to try each unusually creative blend or choose the usual . They have a new invention about every 60 days or sooner. Im not a regular but the ones who are can give a better review. A mom and pop business that we locals definitely recommend!

This is a small mom and pop sort of shop that serves homemade ice cream made with many locally sourced ingredients. They have a variety of different options such as your standard scoops, cones, sundaes and floats (also made with local sodas!). There are usually about 6 or 7 different flavors available at a time and they are frequently rotating in new ones. Dairy free options are available as well. Some of the flavors were a bit hit and miss for me but the place is great overall.

Had to go in to try the newest flavors! Impressive as usual! Coconut Kafir was great! Had coconut flakes in it, which isnt my personal favorite texture, but it was delicious! Fudge Brownie was my go to that night. We also tried Persimmon Clementine which was outstanding and unique. Not as sweet as I expected which was a great surprise. Best ice cream spot in the Sacramento area... Dont miss out on this one!

Just went for the first time and they had so many unique flavors. My husband got a cashew toffee brown butter flavor and could not stop talking about how good it was. My plain chocolate was delectable! Service was very friendly.

I really cant believe the most amazing ice cream comes from this tiny store front. I thought the ice cream in my hometown was superb, but Im ruined now. The creamyness without being airy, or too thick. It melted on my tounge like soft serve, but was solid. Magic! The chocolate was ridiculously good. The lavender honey bee pollen was a delicious surprise.The girls that helped me and my friend were the sweetest. Were driving through Sacramento tomorrow from Santa Rosa and Im timing out our leave time so well get there when it opens.

Great homemade and unique ice cream. The flavors are always different other than the classic vanilla and chocolate. They also offer 1-2 vegan flavors everyday that are always good. Highly reccomend. They are a little pricey but it is worth it.

Wiped the floor with a rag, then set on stool and then used the same rag to wipe the counter. Got the bathroom key, you know the ones with a big utensil attached? Then came back and set the key that gets taken to the rest room back onto the main counter of the shop. Not the cleanest practice. The ice cream was good though. 😆😆😉😉😄

If youre a fan of generic 31 flavors of processed artificialty this place may not be the place for you. But if you like unique, small batch and quality ice cream do I have the place for you! If youre a fan of Ici in Berkeley, youll like DMC. Id go so far as saying I prefer the ice cream here more than Ici. Theyre not as adventurous as Ici but 🤷You never know what flavors theyre going to have that day so its a good idea to check beforehand. This place is literally a hole in the wall and always a friendly smiling face when you enter.

I come here every Wednesday for the coffee float. I get mine with chocolate ice cream and they use locally brewed Brass Clover cloud brew coffee. It is super delicious and helps me get thru my 3 hour class that I had to straight from my 8 hour work day.
