No issues ever does a great job

We were told our car needed a new head gasket for $2,500. Took it to Pat at Preferred. He quoted us a price of $1,300 for a new head gasket. Come to find out it only needed a fan relay switch for $155. Pat is the best!!! He has a new customer for life.

CROOKS! I brought my car there for an alternator issue. The price was Great, but they took very long with my vehicle. I went there to see what the issue was and I saw my radiator hose folded, I didn’t think anything of it, but after waiting 3 days for my car they call me to tell me it was the wrong alternator. So I go there to bring the correct alternator, and after a day they call me to tell me it’s all set... I drive my car and radiator fluid was leaking... I call them to tell them the issue they tell me bring it in and we will fix it. They call me 2 days later to pick it up, and they charged for their mistake the hose that was folded cracked and I was charged a extra 200 for that. I turn my car on and the belt was making noises, the air conditioner belt was making noise, I told them my car wasn’t making any noises when I brought it in they sprayed something and it went away, after using my air conditioner, my air conditioner belt broke... and my car was driving funny also, I brought my car to another mechanic for them to tell me that my transmission fluid plug was loosened. Again my car did not have any issues but the alternator issue, i believe they sabotaged my car so they can keep bringing it to them so they can get more money off of me it’s ridiculous. I would not bring your car to this establishment, this so called business they have. I see a lot of people here have good things to say about them I’m sure they are family and friends that are doing this. They are thieves!

The words Honest and Mechanic dont usually fit well together. You have nothing to worry about here. Rick, the owner, is a highly experienced car tech, and a guy who keeps his word. I have taken my car there 4 times. Each time I was surprised at how reasonable the charges were and the work was flawless. I usually recommend no one, BUT, This is a gem of a repair shop.

I was having trouble starting my car for about a month when i had my radio, car seat warmers. etc on auxillary..assumed battery..had battery tested at advanced auto.told me batterry was in good condition!! 2 weeks later i needed to get a jump and brought it to preffered auto..told RICK it must be my alternator crapping out!! Found out it was just my battery?? They installed a new one and havent had an issue since..they are very HONEST and my charge always has been very $$$ reasonable!!..HIGHLY RECCOMED!!

For traveling out of town and blowing a Mercedes Benz pully and serpentine belt on I-90. I was in need of a quick fix. Rick and his team have always taken care of me, right from the beginning. I started taking my vehicles there after my car had broken down one day and they were the closest repair shop to where I was. I was good to go the next day and the cost was a quarter of what it would have been at the dealership! Since then Ive ditched the dealer and I go to Preferred. Thier work is top notch and the cost is extremely reasonable. You wont be disappointed!

I needed both my front/rear brake pads and rotors done and I decided to go to Preferred. It was seriously the best decision I couldve made. They were all extremely sweet and patient, and gave me an awesome price. I think Preferred Auto should be everybodys first choice!!!

My car had began to break down near the big e. I stopped in this shop because it was close and I couldnt get out of there fast enough. The staff was very dismissive and no one really seemed to want to help me or even know who to speak to for help. I sort of wandered around their lot essentially begging for help being told to talk to this one or that. I did a search and found another shop close by. They got me right in and back out later that afternoon. Maybe this place was having an off day but it was a terrible experience and even worse people.

I brought my pickup truck in to get a leaf spring replaced and my shock rotted out and they fixed that aswell, it was in and out in a day and price didn’t break the bank, was very happy with the service and how kind the owner Rick was, definitely will be going back here for any repairs

I will never go back there and never recommend them to anyone. Not only did that misdiagnosis my truck, when I called them to tell them what the problem actually was they brushed it off with a snotty okay. Seems they make good part changers but have no ability to diagnose a problem.
