The most epic shop in the Valley!! Love Ryan, Andrew, and everyone there. They always take care of me and helped me build my first 300 blkout from the ground up. They also helped with finding an excellent firearms trust attorney and Bruce is the #1 guy to go see for NFA items. While I am still waiting for my stamps his help with filing was a lot less painless then some of the other horror stories I have heard. Another awesome individual I ran into visiting this store was Randy with Black Elk Customs who did the absolutely epic cerakote job on my Glock 19 purchased at Cold Front. Cant say enough good things about everyone here and will continue to shop there!

Went in to get a gas tube installed and Andrew went through and reassembled and torqued the entire rifle. The level of professionalism and lack of pretentiousness is not commonly found in the gun world, especially when they’re teaching you. I live well out of a range for this location to be considered convenient but Cold Front is now my go to. Great shop, great prices!

Strange place strange hours and the have alot of nothing really

I had these guys do a build for me awhile back.The good:After 2 magazines of match grade ammo, Id managed to get the gas block tuned so that it didnt fail to eject every single round, as well as zeroed my new scope. My gripe is NOT about having to tune the gas block. They were very upfront with me about that being something that would likely need to be done since its not a factory gun.The bad:What I did have a problem with is that 2 shots after I zeroed my scope, the scope fell off of my rifle. The scope itself seems to have survived the fall without issue but my 1hr range time had ended and I had to leave. It took me 4 weeks to schedule range time that worked with my wife and kids hectic schedule and I was really excited to have this thing ready to roll.My suggestion:I dont know if maybe its against company policy or if it voids a warranty somehow.. but I think it would be really cool if you guys offered to Loctite the rings for scopes or something. For a scope to fall off after 62 rounds of .223 just doesnt make sense to me.The great:The whole time during my build process the gunsmith, the owner, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly.Conclusion:This experience wont stop me going back. Their turn around time is fair. The quality of the rifle itself seems top notch and I feel like they truly tried their best to put out a quality product. I love our active duty and veterans and will always go out of my way to support veteran owned and operated businesses.

Im so glad to finally have the convenience of a local gun store.The shop is relatively new, but the staff is helpful & knowledgeable. With my impressions so far, even though there are also a couple other gun shops in town that I like, Id have to say that Cold Front Firearms is now my favorite gun shop in Salt Lake County.Its very close to the shooting ranges at the Lee Kay Center, so its a convenient place to go if youre at Lee Kay and find theres something you forgot: like ammo, cleaning supplies, or whatnot.

For the most part, the service and variety make this store a good option. However, I would recommend to the owner to expand your ammo selection instead of apparel. I went here hoping to get target shooting rounds for my gun that I just bought through them and I couldnt get ammo there to serve that purpose.. Didnt make sense how they had a wider selection of purses and shirts than ammo for this particular gun.

Purchased an M&P 2.0 Compact from them last week. Very helpful and the sale price was great. They will also be installing a set of night sights for me. Everyone there has a good attitude and you can tell theyre passionate about the industry and their customers. Smaller gun selection, but very clean and organized shop.

One of the best retail experiences Ive ever had. Im a first time gun buyer, had no idea what I was doing or what I should be looking for. They treated me like I was a friend, were sincere, and were very patient with me. Theyre all super knowledgeable and experienced with all their products they sell and took the time to help me know all the different options out there. Also their prices were super competitive, either on par or often better then Sportsmans Warehouse and Cabelas.

These people take care of me. Im there at least once a month and if they dont have what I want they offer to order it. Theres a guy there with arms the size of my legs that helped me put an AR15 together. The owner seems like the kind of guy youd want to be your neighbor and who youd invite to your family barbecues. The other employees are cool too. Ive done lots of business here and I cant recommend them enough. Get yourself to Cold Front and buy yourself some standard capacity magazines before we get a tyrannical, Democrat president who eviscerates the 2nd!

When I moved here 2 years ago from New York I started my interest in guns. I recently went into this shop that was on the way into my work without much information on guns because I hadnt messed with them much but these guys helped me in more ways than just one. In most gun shops theres a bit of judgmental superiority if youre not or ever were not in the military, for example Get Some Guns, that superiority is not here. Theyre very helpful, they help explain details to a T and even give personal preference to help you get to a comfortable position to see what fits you. All the guys here, literally all of them, are awesome and very friendly. If youre looking for a gun for a good price, even if youre new to them like myself, I would definitely suggest Cold Front.

I brought an old rifle in to their shop for their help in identifying and finding a missing piece. Even though they dont deal in antique firearms everybody in the shop got into the hunt. They were able to identify the rifle and were greatly helpful in guiding me in the correct direction to find the part. Every one of these guys are great, friendly and had absolutely no bad attitude about helping me. Thanks guys, I appreciate your help!

Purchased a pistol here no extra mags for it and no holster in store that would fit. Went to another firearm dealer down the street and they had the same pistol for 135$ cheaper. Called to ask about a price match or return policy the young kid on the phone went to ask. They stated that federal law says they can’t do returns but the shop I was standing in gave a 30 day return policy. So how is that? So they said come back in and we will give you two free boxes of ammo. Returned for my two free boxes of ammo and the young kid didn’t even know what a 45cal was and stumbled around the shelves trying to give me 9mm ammo. And then the salesman that sold me the pistol wouldn’t even talk to me. This place lost all my business and I will never go back.

The first time I went to this store I was not impressed, but it was also one of the first days they were open and Im sure things were a bit crazy. After talking to a friend and reading other reviews I decided to try again. The staff is what makes this place worth it. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my rifle in for a new muzzle brake and they had it changed out in about 10 minutes and the install was included. May not be the largest store around, but their enthusiasm and customer service is the best I have experienced in any gun store, EVER. Give this place a try, Im glad I gave it a second chance. Now my go to store.

Great people who work there. Went in to look for a disconnector for my AR15. They told me that they dont carry the part individually but to give them a second at let them see what they had. They went in the back and a few moments latter came out with one and handed it to me. I asked how much and they say to just return if I ever needed anything else. I know I could have bought one for only like $5 but its still the fact that they gave it to me for me just to keep returning.

Its great having a local gun shop. Its also nice being only about a mile from the Lee Kay range.Mostly tactical stuff, 5.11 gear, handguns, AR-15 rifles.
