Great friendly and knowledgeable shop to rent a range of bikes to ride local trails. They were happy to help with trail info and suggestions, and I was able to secure rentals for my brother and I in relatively short notice. We had a great time riding, and I would definitely rent from them again as their rental fleet is top notch!

I’ve been using Glacier Cyclery & Nordic for about a year and a half. This is my 2nd review the first being cycling specific. This review is specific to Nordic.Being new to Nordic, the team ( & craig) at glacier have always made me feel welcome and were happy to share there knowledge. These guys helped me jump into advanced skate and classic skiing very quickly. From tuning, waxing, skier technique and proper gear selection they helped me find the fun with very little frustration. All of what Glacier does helped minimize my learning curve so I could just get after it the way I wanted to! Another thing that is great about this shop is there customer support. Whenever I had issues or problems with my gear they ALWAYS did what they could (and more) to get me back out as fast as possible. I feel extremely lucky to have a shop like glacier cycling and Nordic as my neighbor hood shop. They set the standard for what service should be.

What a great shop. Had an above average experience. My shifters had some issues, I called and they were happy to look at it. All of the staff went the extra mile to take good care of me. From going outside to look at the bike so I didn’t have to wear a mask, to sending to out someone that was the road biking expert to help me map out a 100 miler. Pick up was swift and the price of the service was fair. I would spend my money here every time I am in Whitefish.

We had a wonderful experience. We got the latest equipment with excellent customer service. Max offered to get our 4 year old a tag-along bike that attached to the back of mine so she could “drive” with us. We all had a blast!

Trails are well-kept and the trees provide plenty of shade. Some of the signs can be a little confusing but its an overall good ride.

First took my bike to the other bike shop in Whitefish where I was told both my back and front struts were both blown. This was odd as it was a new bike that I had barely used. I decided to bring the same bike to Glacier Cyclery for a tuneup and no mention was made to me of any issue with the struts. In fact the bike works like new again. And it looks sharp as well. Highly recommend these guys (and gals).

Excellent mountain bike rental. We rented regular full suspension bikes and they were in great shape. They sized us perfectly, took their time to ensure we had an enjoyable experience, and to boot they provided a great trail suggestion.

Great shop, friendly knowledgeable staff. I had an issue with my bottom bracket and even though they were busy they helped me out and took care of my bike and pointed us in the right direction trail wise. Thx again, and Ill definitely be back when Im in town.

Ron absolutely knows his stuff when it comes to bike fitting -- road and mountain. Hes done hundreds of bike fits, and keeps records on all of them. I had no idea there were so many things you could do to a pedal/cleat. In the end, we made adjustments to my stem, seat, and cleat, and my bike rides so much more comfortably. Great shop for bike fitting!

Amazing customer service…I brought my bike in for some routine maintenance and they ran into an issue when changing the bearings in my rear hub. It had a couple of issues due to a factory defect. They offered me a free rental and went above and beyond to fix the situation promptly. Very pleased with the clear communication and quick service from Tyler and the guys in the shop. THE place to go if you are in town and lookiv to rent a bike!I rented a road bike to have a lash up the Going-To-The-Sun Road, and these guys really sorted everything out for me. Great value for money, especially with the helpful and proactive service.Would recommend these guys to anyone wanting to rent.

My son and I recently traveled to Whitefish, Montana. We had the opportunity to do to some mountain biking and had the good fortune to locate Glacier Cyclery. They were able to rent us to high quality HT MTBs at a reasonable rate. The bikes were in great condition. The customer service was excellent - employee helped us discover appropriate trails. The location was also a big plus as we were able to ride directly from the shop through town to reach the trail head.

I have no clue how they are for bikes, but if they are even half as good as they are for nordic skiing gear you need to go here. My daughter and I were in the area and she wanted to go cross country skiing, searching the internet this was the only place open that had rental gear. Vanessa took great care on getting us the perfect fitting equipment and recommended the trails for us to us. We had such a good time that we went back the next day and rented gear again. Thanks again Vanessa for all the help.

This is the best bike shop in the Flathead Valley and Ive been to them all! My bike needed a tune and a few other things. The mechanics were professional yet personable and explained everything very well. They also followed up exactly when they said they would, very appreciated. Other shops could learn a lot from these guys; although, I wont be going anywhere else so whatev!

Great Bike Place. I rented a bike from Glacier Cyclery this week (8-1-11). It was an excellent hybrid bike. The staff was very helpful. They are conveniently located near the center of Whitefish. I highly recommend them.

Great folks. We didnt spend dime and yet they were very helpful regarding bike rides in the area. I will definitely be back (and for their sake probably spend money next time).

They took apart my rear hub and checked out out. Didnt have a new hub, have us Ali the info so we can get a new one at our next stop in Helena. Very helpful.

Stopped off to have a spoke replaced on my Tour Divide rig. Got handed an ice cold coke when I came through the door and had the bike turned around with a new spoke, brake pads and minor tune in about an hour. Thanks guys! Hopefully just a quick stop next year.

Visiting Glacier area during labor day holiday and had a great experience with a rented hybrid bike from Glacier Cycle. They provide maps. Try the 486 ride North from Columbia Falls along the W. side of Glacier and the Flathead River. Be sure to stop at the river access.

I was on a cross country ride and had a rim form some stress fractures in the middle of Montana. I called Glacier a couple days out and they handled the warranty info and got a replacement rim on order. I rolled into town and they had me laced and ready to go by the end of the day. Great crew and service. Cheers

I was in town from Missoula and had a problem with my bike. These guys were quick to jump on taking care of my problem and were inexpensive. Granted it was winter and may have been a slow time of year but every time I stopped in they were fun to talk to and informative on the local trails.

They were extremely helpful this past summer when I needed to rent a road bike during my stay in Montana. Highly recommended!

Charged $7 to put on pedals, which is a high charge for a 2 minute job. Especially since I was buying $100 worth of stuff. Otherwise they are great so far.

Rented a bike to me with NO BRAKE FLUID. Had a bad accident (chipped a tooth, concusion) on the mountain. Argued with me telling me I was wrong and there was no way their mechanic of 20yrs experience could have made a mistake. Tried to right the wrong by voiding ONE bike (I rode with my boyfriend). They should have charged us nothing considering we walked bikes most of the way after that. Will not go back. Snobby.

Great service at this place, and lots of selection. I updated a bit of my equipment here after riding down from Jasper Natl Park in Alberta a couple of weeks ago. The young guy helping me though, really appreciated the 1983 Fisher Hoo-koo-ee-koo I was riding ... and good for him ... its been such an awesome bike! Anyways, they had some really sweet Going-to-the-Sun jerseys. I bought one for myself, and two for a couple of friends back home. Really sweet! Id definitely stop in again.
