Rented ski and snowboard gear for a family group of 12. The equipment was great and the employees were REMARKABLE. Unfortunately, the online reservation system does not guarantee the equipment will be available when you arrive to pick up. Two of our skiers did not have equipment as a result and we had to make last second arrangements from other rental companies in town.

Holy cow, let me just say Jeremy recommended the BEST water filtration for backpacking. This guy knows his stuff. Seriously the easiest most efficient and light water filter I’ve ever had. Thank you Jeremy for making backpacking less of a suffer fest!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

100 degree last day of our vacation and decided we wanted to spend the day at the lake. Came in around noon and rented 3 paddle boards and a kayak. Price was very reasonable and happy that they had inventory on hand. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

I just wanted to say thank you to Jereme Hoss for going above and beyond to help me! I was in search for specific style of Tevas and could not find them anywhere on my trip. When I went to Sportsman & Ski Haus, I found the style Teva Ive been looking for in my size, but sadly it was missing a pair. Then Jereme looked all over the store to hunt the pair down since he knew I really wanted it. That was above and beyond of him and cant thank him enough for providing amazing customer service!

I recently posted a review, that I have just deleted. I was angry at the mask only policy of this establishment. (I cannot wear a mask due to a artery spasm that occurs and simulates a heart attack.)My review had an immediate response from the owner, that was actually refreshing to see.I must apologize as I have always had great service at Sportsman.Upon my contemplation, I remembered that the whole town of Whitefish has a mask mandate. So please forgive my taking this out on Sportsman for following the city rules.I will say the man that asked me to leave was polite.So apologies for my review that I have deleted.Instead, I will NOT do any business in Whitefish.Thank you to the owner of Sportsman for his quick response.

It was all fun ....service was spotty...but when it was good it was good. Looking for thur hiking gear and didnt get much help... Maybe knowledge base is not available....Ill go back...

Excellent customer service. We rented boots and our outing was canceled due to weather. We returned the boots and they refunded our money with no hesitation. We didnt even ask for a credit. So we ended up purchasing boots that were on sale. Great staff!

Terry the assistant manager stayed late so we could return our bikes after hours so we could make our morning flight. Amazing customer service and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Stopped on a visit through Kalispell. Best selection of cool women’s outdoor clothing and outerwear I have seen ANYWHERE!! They do a great job finding the best pieces of the best brands and have a ton of selection. Great customer service also, helped us track down a very popular and hard to come by item. One stop shop for fishing for grandpa, great clothing, little useful gifts. Wish I was local, I’d be in be in there all the time.

We were in the market for a new ski set and were having trouble getting the time of the day in some of the other shops in town. Ty helped us from beginning to end and was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the entire process. Cant wait to pick up our new skis and shred!

Do not trust these bootfitters in the shop. They messed up a punch on my new boots and were extremely condescending. Do your feet a favor and go to the much nicer and more helpful people at the great northern ski shop

Weve been shopping at Sportsman for many years, but today took the cake! Were still self-quarantining but wanted to purchase a gift for a friend. I called, Austin told me hed help me and help me he did! Perfectly!I drove up, called and he brought it out to the car! (I think he literally ran it out with a beautiful smile!) Thanks Sportsman for hiring someone who walks the store policy of providing great service! (Austin, let me know if you get a bump in pay!)

The salesman was helpful and found what I was looking for. His communication could have been better. At one point he just walked off and I wasnt sure if I should follow or what. At least they had what I needed. The store has very good selection it seems leaning on the higher end.

I work near by and come in on occasion, the staff is always very nice and helpful. They Do Not have any climbing gear even though we have a climbing gym right nextdoor, they would do so much business as the Climbing gym also doesnt have any gear for sale...? But besides that great shop!

Very sad to say I will no longer shop there after being rudely told I had to wear a mask. No where else is doing this so not sure why I would keep going.

Best store! The staff was extremely helpful! Two different bike issues! They had the answers and willing to do a same day trun around! They answered questions on local trails, disc golf etc.. true sportsman! Prices are great for such a small town! Also they rent gear.

My husband and I just had a very pleasant experience in the fishing department. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He gave my husband advice about which flys to use in specific areas around the valley and helped him pick out a new pole. Meanwhile, I was having trouble finding a specific shirt that I saw on the mannequin so the front desk clerk (didn’t get her name) was helping me search the clothing department for it. Really helpful staff!

Many incompetent staff members at the Whitefish location. I called in advance and made 3 trips to the store at their direction to find out they couldnt even do what they said they could do for boot repair. They wasted hours of my time because of basic knowledge. Many other stores in the area that I would recommend over this location.Response:It was not that someone was out sick, it was that I was told by multiple enployees that you had a boot rivet press. After I was told to come back a 3rd time they finally showed me the press. Someone that knows how to use an electric screwdriver would have been able to immediately realize that the press you have doesnt fit in a boot. This fundamental oversight cost me hours of my time.

A great selection of clothing for sporting activities. Ive rented demo skis from here and they guys were helpful with that. I dont recommend the bike repair here. The mechanics at Glacier Cycle are more knowledgeable but its the best choice for sporting goods around

We rented skis & snowboards here to use at Whitefish Ski Resort, they were extremely fast and polite at getting us setup, 3 people beginning to end only took about 10 min! They had a package where we could rent the equipment for 4 days at the cost of 3 and in addition gave us a great military discount. The rental equipment all had stickers on it with our names so it was easy to locate in the mess at the ski area. All the equipment was in great shape and we had no problems. All in all a great experience and place we will definitely come back to next time.

Staff was amazing! Had a couple questions about a specific piece on my bike and they answered everything I needed to know. They were very honest and didnt seem to just try and make a quick buck off me, would glady come back and recommend to anyone!

My family and I have spent so much money here over the years on sports equipment. Skis, bindings, boots, tune ups, clothes, camping stuff, fishing stuff, you name it. Their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They stand behind their products and value customer loyalty. And they stock quality products.

Jeremy was one of the most helpful and very knowledgeable about the two different shoes I bought I got Keens and Chacos I love them both ended up buying two pairs of Keens one for my daughter. Thank you very much Jeremy Ill be back!

Needed a fishing license and arrived 20 minutes before closing on Sunday. We were immediately approached by an employee as we walked in the door who told us, We close in 15 minutes. We told him we needed a fishing license and his response was that The machine has already been shut down for the day. After calling bs on that and being insistent, we finally got the license and were finished 5 minutes before closing time. On any other day its like pulling teeth to get someone to help you, but when it comes to closing time they were all over us. We love the Kalispell store. They may as well close the Whitefish store if this is their customer service policy.

Ive been here a few times to rent XC skis and to look at skis to buy. Being new to XC skiing, I had a lot of questions and most of the people I spoke to were patient and knowledgeable about what sizes I should be in and how they should fit.

Gives REI a big run for their money! I would argue Sportsman even has a better selection! If we lived nearby, wed be hard pressed not to visit at least 1x per week.

Spectacular costumer service and staff are always willing to give you a helping hand. Love the ski haus!
