I have been to this hidden gem three times now. Each time Ive had a good experience while in Williamsburg, VA. This last time my husband specifically requested to go here for his birthday dinner. I was absolutely down for another experience. This last trip was the longest and most frequent we have visited. We had breakfast every day for four days, and only ate dinner else where once. We got to know the staff and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Randy for a second time. The staff is overall very nice. Below are just a few things that stuck out in my memory the most or was my one of my favorites. The only reason I am not giving the restaurant 5 is because like any business you can tell the manager happens not to be there. The perfect storms seem to happen, the system crashes, people dont show up to work, and the good consistent associates have their morale go down and it shows. As I told one of the waitress one early morning, No worries over here, just call my room when its ready. You give great service so dont stress! Everything comes in full circle. Chef, please recognize your hard workers if you already dont, they go hard for you when youre away my dude! They just need to take a breather and go back to the basics if life happens. We all LOVE your food because of all the quality ingredients you use and and the attention given to it. Thanks for all you do for your customers. Youre very personable, and you can tell you actually have a passion for what you do! You have us as customers for as long as you are there.
I didnt eat here however my husband and daughter had breakfast here every day of our stay and they loved the food and the service. Friendly staff, excellent variety of food, kids eat for free with a paying adult. However, you are automatically charged 3 dollars for soda even if you didnt order one. They will take it off your bill once you point it out for them. All in all, a great in hotel breakfast option, especially with the little one who wakes up wanting to eat!
This has got to be the best place to eat while staying at Holiday Inn. Theyre closed during the day because all the guests are away but in the evening the dining is superb. Please give them a try and ask for a LIIT from Amber.
Very nice hotel. Would give 5 stars but bar closes too early
Had a great time and the staff was very hospitable and hard working.
The food is wonderful the breakfast is something to take advantage of. They have a large variety of food on the breakfast buffet for all diet types. The Philly burger is to die for.
We stayed in the Holiday Inn Suites in Historic District In Williamsburg. We decided to eat at the Bistro 515 that is located in the hotel. We were so impressed. All of the people were amazingly nice. We were celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary and my husband emailed the chef prior to dining. They set up a table for us and even remembered our names and how many years we’d been married. Chef Randy came out and introduced himself. To say he was nice is an understatement. And his dishes.... AMAZING. He definitely is a hidden gem. Our server, Stephanie, was also very nice. When we finished, Chef Randy came out and made sure everything was to our liking. Service such as this is rare. We will most definitely eat here again.
Chef Randy and his staff did an amazing job! We had incredible meals there and would highly recommend the restaurant.
Loved it. The waitress we had named Samantha and our Chef named Randy were so awesome. Chef Randy has it going on. All food was so delicious. Best Chef anyo ne could ask for.We will be going back to Bristo 515 hopefully soon. You ever in Williamsburg you should look them both up at Btisto 515.
Two stars on service alone and, to be honest, I had really high hopes for this place when I saw the reviews, but I was highly disappointed. I got the cheese steak omelette and there was SO MUCH pepper on the steak that it nearly rendered it inedible and it left the omelette smelling a little like canned dog food. If youre looking for home fries, dont get their breakfast potatoes as theyre simply deep fried potato pieces with seasoning. The pancakes and waffles were INCREDIBLY SWEET. While I understand theyre supposed to be slightly on the sweet side, but that should primarily come from adding the syrup and the mix seemed to taste just as sweet as cake mix. It was ok, but not the best. Maybe well try again another time after theyve improved some things, but, at this time, its not likely that well go back.
Epic food at this place Can’t go wrong.
They never disappoint! I love it here. Food is always excellent, atmosphere is always perfect and service is always impeccable.
Bacon was old. Prices were high. Pancakes were so very very dense. Waffles taste like they were made from the pancake batter and extremely dense
Very disappointed in this. The stars do not match the quality of food. The bacon is overcooked and tasted old, the waffles were extremely heavy and possibly made from pancake mix, the toast was griddle made with soggy outside and crispy inside. The Philly cheesesreak omelet was so peppered I felt like they opened the wrong end of the pepper shaker and dumped it on... the pancakes were not what matched to the puctures.. they were thin and very dense, almost like an undercooked cooled cookie... I do not recommend
This place is a gem. Every meal was superb. We ate breakfast and dinner each day of our stay. O would post photos, but i was too greedy and excited about my meal when it was placed in front of me.Chef Randy was specular, he visited our table each day. Chef Cee stopped by to hear or praises and critique of our meal. I would be remiss to not mention the fantastic servers: Julie and Sam who waited and checked on us continually.
This restaurant I give it five stars the staff is wonderful Chef came out to greet you very pleasant .Chef C is and Excellent cook.I recommend Coming to this restaurant I will be back.
Fish tacos were good.
Excellent food! Say no more!
Its directly in the hotel, so thats a plus. 👍
This Bistro is a diamond in the rough. The food, service and professionalism is out of this world. Hats off to chef Shaun and the staff. I love this place
