What a great place. Staff was very friendly,food was priced right and came out fast. We came here twice and enjoyed it very much. Will definitely be our go to place for breakfast or lunch when we come to visit williamsburg.
Love it here! I get the Colonial Breakfast and it is always good. And they leave the coffee carafe on the table which I love. Ive been 3 times and ordered to go and I plan on going back.
Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. We had a much shorter wait than was estimated. The food came out very quickly and each table gets their own pot of coffee so you can keep enjoying. Definitely recommend the chicken & waffles if they have it when you visit.
Beautiful spot with a very clean decor. Many booths throughout, but a small establishment so the wait can be long (ours was 20 minutes with 3 families and one no-show). Service was very quick and the food was very good. The home fries couldve used a bit more toasting for my liking. The pancakes, however, were delicious; fluffy and flavorful. Similar to most of my selections, I had scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and pancakes. I cannot rate the bathroom, but the establishment itself is very clean. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely personable. Prices were comparable to serving size and general service. I would definitely come back.
My meal was excellent. Pancakes are very tasty and fruit was great. Just right ripe.Others in the group got sandwiches and burgers and raved about the homemade not frozen French fries. Prices were reasonable also.
Really good food. Got the eggs benedict and a coffee and both were great! We also ordered chocolate pancakes and they were made really well.Nitro cold brew wasnt good at all, they put it on ice so it was watered down but the waitress switched it for regular coffee and didnt make us pay for it so that was awesome.Our server Natalie was working extremely hard and was a great waitress.
The food was excellent and the waitresses were very knowledgeable about the food. Just a great place to eat and the best pancakes have had.
A good breakfast for a family that is not use to flavoring their meals. The biscuits had no flavor the eggs moist but watery the gravy had sausage in it but still tasted like water. Not sure if their hand squeezing that OJ but 2.00 is alittle excessive for a small cup.
Colonial Pancake House is a charming restaurant that serves solid basic breakfast fare. The pancakes were good, as were the bacon and eggs. The gluten-free pancakes were especially light and fluffy. The gluten-free versions of pancakes, waffles, etc. are a huge bonus. Also, great that they leave the pot of coffee and tea on the table!Service was fairly quick and friendly. Definitely a good family place for breakfast.
Great experience. It looked like it was going to be a longer wait but they got us seated in under 15 minutes. (Party of 2) we were not rushed at all. Food was great. The only issue is the kitchen forgot to put cheese on our eggs. Not a big deal though. What I really appreciated is without us saying anything, the waitress noticed this and asked if we wanted more eggs. We said no since they were so good anyway. Plus the kitchen was busy. We got pancakes, eggs (scrambled and over easy) sausages links, turkey sausage patties, potatoes and a biscuit. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was great too. So could not have asked for a better experience.
We came in for breakfast on the 1st of August. The hostess was the friendliest and most accommodating person we have had in such a long time! The place was very busy but she and our server stayed calm and efficient throughout. Food was tasty and was cooked well. Portion sizes were spot on. We would definitely go there again if/when we are in the area.

Tables were spaced every other. Friendly attentive staff all wearing masks, good food. Girl cleaning used menus barely made an effort to actually wipe them off after we touched them. Used rag, took a 1 second swipe across bottom of menu on one side and put them back for reuse. Bring hand sanitizer for after you touch the menus. Would come back again to eat.
Nothing fancy, but wasnt expecting fancy. Service was great! courteous, efficient and friendly- thanks Natalie! Food order came quickly and tasted good.
Really exceptional. Wait wasnt as long as expected. This is a small place and its busy so arrive early and hungry. Got the colonial breakfast and everything was very good. Also got the biscuits which were delicious. The pancakes are great and the syrup is good. You cant go wrong here.
Our waitress Chris was a great girl. Happy attentive and worth the extra tip we left. Food was good and plenty of it
The food is amazing!!!! The parking lot is behind the building, and you walk around to the front to enter the building. The staff is energetic and friendly. Wide variety of food and food combination for breakfast. Will be going back before leaving.

My 11 year old son devoured the colonial breakfast AND a stack of chocolate chip pancakes. My omelette was big but very average tasting and my daughters no regrets sandwich was a little too salty. I think $50 for an adult and two kids makes it a pricey place to eat and there was no social distancing. All tables were occupied.
Great food! Even on a Sunday morning we got seated in less than 20 minutes with a party of 5. The biscuits and gravy were terrific!

Not sure about here... It was good for breakfast, but had to wait to be seated. They are not really set up for parties larger than 6. Server was kind. Ham was super salty but in all fairness they stated that in there menu. It was good for breakfast but nothing stellar not sure we would visit again.

Try this place while I was on my vacation we sit down what was greeted with hospitality. Ordered and five minutes later got a nice hot breakfast me and my cousin and it was so good.

Super great service and food! Felt just like home.Everybody was so warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is very wholesome. We ordered a stack of pancakes, Turkey sausage patties w/ scrambled eggs and potatoes, as well as the French toast with strawberries. Food came out so quick and any little mishaps with the order (getting bacon instead of sausage patties) got handled in under a minute. Highly recommend coming over here! Definitely will be paying a visit again.
We found this gem by googling top breakfast places to eat. You will not be disappointed in the least eating here. It has an at home feel with perfect comfort food. The prices are reasonable and not over priced. The food is absolutely delicious. The waitresses and hostess were extremely kind and made us feel like family.
This place was very interesting from the decor to the food. The food was so good that I got full as soon as I started to eat my Waffle.
Typical breakfast place in a tourist town. Fast and reasonably priced. Menu that probably hasnt changed in 20 years. Food thats cooked ahead of time. Waitresses that just do the bare min because they get tipped the bare min on a morning shift. As with most other places in the area the food is bland because the clientele is older which I understand. A little salt on your plate will help it out. Even with all those pseudo criticisms I would still go back.
Matthew, our waiter, made this an especially nice breakfast! The diner lives up to and exceeds expectations for food flavor, quality, and price. Southern Hospitality was wonderful!
Day 2 of vacation started here. The food here stood out as better compared to yesterday mornings (sorry folks). However, the service was a little better yesterday then today (sorry again folks). Again, this restaurant left the fresh pot of coffee on the table for us (yes!). They also had different flavored creamers (French vanilla). The coffee even tasted better. My wife had the corned beef hash and eggs. I had the Greek omelet. Then for desert we shared the gluten free banana split waffle (yum!). If you are gluten sensitive like us, then this place is your spot. They have a lot of gluten free options that don’t leave you out of the fun things to eat for breakfast. However, we both cheated and ate the warm homemade biscuits (yum). Good breakfast spot.
Breakfast, service and other staff are amazing! My sister in law and my brothers love the breakfast here, so had to give it a try. Yolanda was our server, she is really nice! Also, the next day, we ordered breakfast to go and Yolanda coincidentally took care of our carryout order. Thank you Yolanda!
What can I say!? This place was D-licious!!! The young man that helped us was great. You must come have yummy breakfast here. We had apple pie pancakes with ice cream, banana split waffles and kids had chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate chip waffles. Youll find what your sweet tooth desires here for sure
Absolutely delicious!! The biscuits and gravy were a MUST try!! The service was wonderful! Our waitress was very polite, kind and very efficient! This is a cozy restaraunt with a family friendly atmosphere and the prices were very economical! I would definitely recommend anyone to try breakfast here and I would absolutely go back!

I am tempted to give 5 stars but feel it was good but not great. Service was fine. The place was busy and everything was quick and good. Just not great. Also a trip to the bathroom tells me they should invest in some “infrastructure”.
Your typical pancake breakfast spot. Virginia themed. Cozy place with friendly and very efficient staff. Coffee is average diner style coffee. Food is good, really liked how fluffy the scrambled eggs were. Priced higher than expected, but this is Williamsburg. Parking in the rear, entrance is around front.

I got multiple items. Everything was so good. Our waitress was so awesome. Anything you want for breakfast is on the menu. You even have options for coffee cream flavor. I am definitely coming back.You must get biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and the waffle sundae!

This is the place to go! Their service is too notch! Food is delicious and cooked exactly as ordered. French toast is the best! I go here every time I’m in Williamsburg and every time I’ ve been, the food taste and service is consistently great.

Loved the pancakes! They must use subtle vanilla and almond in the batter, it made an amazing flavor. Best pancakes I’ve ever had hands down! Plus they provide warm syrup! I appreciate how clean they were too.The egg yolks were so dark yellow which means they are healthy eggs. Our service was great! Will definitely come back!!
Went there twice while we were in Virginia. Both days breakfast and service was good. We had a slight wait but it was worth it. Would recommend this place for a large or small group.
Not all that great. I ordered the colonial with a biscuits instead of home fries. Eggs over medium came out over hard . The sausage links were under cook. The pancakes were the wurst Ive had in a long time. On the bright side the biscuit was awesome

We ordered omelets...a veggie and a Western one. Food was tasty and portion was filling. Coffee urn left on table to refill. Server was friendly, quick and accurate. Because restaurant was very busy, we had to wait a few minutes to get our food. Restaurant including bathrooms was clean. All restaurant staff wore masks. Plenty of parking.
We went in with a larger group. The wait was not too long, the staff were great and the food was delicious. Everyone walked away full and grinning!
What made this pancake house stand out above the many in Williamsburg was the service! Greeted upon entry by several, the server we had was so friendly and full of energy! Only weird thing was the chocolate chip pancakes just had a few chocolate chips thrown on top of pancake. Was weird as we expected the chips to be IN the pancake, but otherwise my French toast was delish! The experience was great!

Run down restaurant that is getting business due to Food For Thought not serving breakfast. In this case, you can judge a book by its cover. When it looks run down it really is, including the food.
Had about a 10 minute wait, but wasnt a big deal. Because as soon as we were seated, the waitress took our drink order and was very promt. They were very busy, but all of the staff was extremely professional and productive. They did not screw around. Food was awesome, staff was great, definitely recommend.
The owners are some of the nicest and most welcoming people! The service and food was amazing and we’re looking forward to visiting again when we’re in the area. The kids enjoyed their chicken and waffles and the banana nut pancakes were to die for! If you’re in the area, this place is a MUST!
Theres nothing too terribly wrong with this establishment. Im just going with 3 stars because I really do only feel like its okay. Pancakes with pecans were decent. My friend was looking for good grits and decided to take us here. She was disappointed. But in all fairness it is basically a diner. Quick service and friendly staff. But it wouldnt be my first choice to go back to.

I will never come back to this pancake house again. Ive only been in town on vacation for a week to go to busch gardens. I have a 1 yo daughter who I had to change in the middle of breakfast but of course this rinky dink spot doesnt even have a baby changing station so I had to stand in the middle of the bathroom (with other customers in and out) to change my daughter. And the food wasnt great either. Matthew was great though.

Waitress was very experienced and never missed a beat in our order, down to the condiments! When the food arrived, all of our food orders were hot and it tasted absolutely amazing. Loved it! Very kid friendly.
