Really disappointing customer service everything we go here. I cant count the number of times weve asked for help, only to be told I dont know, let me radio someone. Today we waited for half an hour for help, ended up leaving and went to Lowes with much better luck. The only exception to this was Grace in the paint department, who was delightful.
It is my to go hardware store. If you cannot find it in the store, you will find it on their website where they have a huge selection. Most items above $45 are shipped to your home for free. Great return policy also.
I used to love this store but after today. They need serious restructuring of their management. I purchased a brand new Frigidaire Cook top July 23 and because with covid everything is out of stock so for our kitchen renovation, we purchased everything early to make sure it was in, in time. Oct 20 we install the cabinets and open the Cook top to grind the glass shattered. No damage to the outside box at all. Manufacturer wont cover it, home depot wont replace, return, or even discount a replacement. In fact while on the phone with the manager, they simply hung up on me. As a veteran pro business member I expected better customer service. Its pathetic no one will take responsibility.
This is my local store and never disappointed with the service from all the employees on the floor in the garden at the cs desk or the online order pick up. All are always friendly and always help you find things or suggest items and pick of orders or returns are always easy. Sometimes it can be busy but best to go early or late and u can avoid most wait times. Good place good people.
Was pretty sure I needed an 8/32 3/4 screw for a project and brought it with me to check. Complete nightmare. The sample plates are useless; if I had based my purchase on what fit best, I would have gotten 6/32 1/2 screws. Instead I rooted around in the specialty screw drawers until I found one that fit, the problem here being that it was obviously in the wrong place. After another 5 minutes spent trying to determine what it actually was I purchased 8/32 3/4 screws. Thankfully, this was correct. The only positive aspect of this experience was that it cost me slightly more than a dollar.I was not approached by an employee, though based on previous experiences the competent ones are busy elsewhere.Anyway, yeah, Home Depot is a great place to waste time finding what other stores also carry.
Seem to be well stocked right now.
Home Depot has become our go to store for anything for the home. We have bought many items there this year. The prices are pretty good and appliance section is great with very helpful employees!
Got exactly what I wanted and left. No one seemed at all happy about being there. Even the checkout clerk was just so blah. When you have a business you should hire people who want to help others.
The girl who brought out my order was so sweet and personable. She made curbside super quick and easy.
Great experience! I was in a hurry and the employee directed to exactly where I needed to go! Perfect service 👌
Large location with plenty of parking. Great selection and good prices. Highly recommend!
Typical big box store with overpaid employees, who have difficulty thinking outside the box. Of course a lot depends on the store you go to. This one in the Williston area I truly believe that you would be better off shopping in an Ace hardware or some other small Mom and Pop shop.
Dont know why everyone is saying they cant find a employee. I always have good luck or they just flock to me I guess. Good selection and cheap prices keeps me coming back. I dont mind their home depot card either. The only one I have.
I went to pick up black iron pipe and fittings. I asked the first person I saw where they were. He said he thinks youre in the back corner.. yes I wrote he thinks. I went to the back corner where he thought they were and they were not there. I proceeded to ask another person they sent me to the other side of the store to an aisle I did not contain them either. I then asked the person in the aisle they attended to send me back to the other side of the store. At this point I just stopped trying and left. Shop local is a great lesson from this. The person in your local hardware store more than likely knows where the pipe is.
Twice in the past few months I’ve had issues placing online orders, and receiving the items from this store. I cancelled this time. I should have taken my money to the local “mom and pop” hardware store. I won’t make that mistake again.
Williston vt homedepo are scam artist and bad customer service. DO NOT EVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM THEM. They take your money and dont deliver your things. And they dont let you know anything going on. When you have to get ahold you they say it comes from someone else. DONT SELL THINGS YOU DONT HAVE. If your going through another company you should keep you customers informed whats going on but you wait two days and no calls and your stuff is no show. DONT BUY FROM WILLISTON VT HOMEDEPO
I was extremely disappointed in the garden center and overall store experience. The plants were all dying in the garden center, so I checked with customer service to see if they can be sold at discount. The store rep told me that they know the plants are dying, but its more cost effective to return them dead to the vendor instead of watering them. The Memorial Day garden center sales start this weekend. I would think since the dead plants are going on sale, the store would prioritize watering them instead of leaving dead plants out to sell. As a vendor I would also wonder why the entire lot of plants I sold Home Depot was being returned as defective. If the plants were watered, many would most likely perk up enough to look presentable enough to sell.
Self checkout has giant sized senior friendly screens. Loved that. Thanks home Depot!
Good store. Got what we needed. Some of the rock bags we were getting had holes in then though.
Great selection and they dont bother you. Always something good on the clearance racks. Any issues just ask for Mark
I will not be shopping at this store any longer after a very awful experience placing a pickup order for a mini fridge on their website. After getting the email confirmation that my order was ready for pickup, I showed up at the store and had 3 associates search the entire store for my order.. nowhere to be found. I was there for 45 minutes and nobody communicated to me what was going on... finally they told me the order was lost somehow and that they would call me when ready.Several days later, I get an email and text notification on my phone that the order is ready for pick up. Once again, I drive to the store and meet the same customer service team at the front pickup station. They scan through the orders and again, check the entire store and my order is still missing. This time, they tell me theyll call me when its ready and to ignore the emails because apparently theyre not accurate. Another 30 minutes of my time wasted. At this point, Im very frustrated but politely voice my complaints to the service person. They offer me a less than 50% discount for a $240 fridge. An underwhelming prospect, but I accept. I may be naive to how this system works, but given the amount of hassle Id already experienced, I was surprised they werent going to write this one off as a free item for my troubles. They said theyd call me Monday when the order was coming to the store.ITs now Saturday and Ive not received a call. Roommate is moving in and needed the fridge by now. Went online, canceled the order, and also called the Home Depot in Williston to submit a complaint to the customer service team. Sure enough, it is the same associate on the other end of the line. I ask to speak to her manager, and then I explain the case of the missing fridge.I explained that it wasnt so much the wait but how the situation was handled that really made me upset. Ive worked in customer service all my life, and number 1 is good communication. Not a single staff member at that front desk smiled, asked how your day was going, looked you in the eyes, or expressed any sense of human understanding for an unhappy experience. I explained why they will not have my business in the future, and that I hope they look into this more and change the way things are going at this store. I never wouldve expected such a bad experience at a Home Depot, but it goes to show how important good customer service is in general.
Nightmare. Online ordering doesnt work, the 800 number puts you in a loop, no one ever answers the phone. Your order never gets processed, the website assigns you a different zip code and wont allow you to edit it. Showing up to buy in person is fine, but they charge you 30% more than the online prices. A sad state of affairs.
Incredibly difficult and disorganized return system. First the website return didn’t work. Then they sent me three return boxes instead of one. Then only one of many items was refunded. Then I had to call again. This company also has a bad reputation for supporting awful politicians.
This was a terrific trip to Home Depot in Williston, VT. I found everything on my shopping list. Check out was very quick. It is a clean and organized store.
We ordered over $800.00 wood we did curb side pick up. We ordered it at 9am went at 5:30pm to pick up . Only had 1/2 order ready they didn’t notice till I said should be 30 pieces not 16 they went to find it and came back said he’s going get your order now. WeEnded up waiting 2hrs . This was not fault to workers they are working very hArd and very understaff . They are trying their best .I know what under staff can do please management and reach out to help them.
I bought $1,400.00 worth of fencing online from Home Depot and I cant get anyone on the phone at Williston to iron out some details! Nobody answers the phone, and Ive tried 7 times, it just keeps ringing, tried different extensions, etc. They marked my order as being partially picked up, but I didnt take any of it that day! Theres just one guy on the forklift in the materials lot and he never stopped or asked if I need help, so I didnt even know where to find what I needed. What I did find was fencing that looked like it, but had the wrong sku number. They told me they have no idea how to add delivery to an online order (in-person), My order is still at Home Depot because I cant find anyone to help me!
Love Home Depot. The staff always ask if you need help in comparison to Lowes staff who walk right on by, when youre struggling to get a long 4x4 off a high shelf by yourself.
Their online ordering and delivery service is an absolute nightmare and completely ridiculous. Had the online order we placed rescheduled 5 times over the course of a month before canceling and getting a refund because I didnt think I would ever actually get the product that I ordered. The most they did to make up for this was refund the delivery charge. The also on more than one occasion had our order out for delivery for several hours before being canceled because they ended up selling our products that we ordered and now have none in stock. Keep in mind, we not once received a call stating this, we never got told or called about anything. We only found out every delivery date because we called and this last time, we waited 14 hours during their ridiculous delivery window to receive nothing.
In and out quickly with friendly service
Ask staff a question and you feel like you are putting them out. Then I get sent to the wrong aisle! 😡
Scott was a big help at the pro-desk
I’m a renter and my landlord is replacing my stove. Not only can I NEVER reach anyone in the appliance center, I also can’t reach anyone in customer service. I have no idea when this thing is being delivered and HD uses a third party delivery company that ALSO NEVER answers the phone. I’ve left multiple messages requesting a delivery window and nothing. It’s like you buy the stuff at the store and then once they have your money they abandon you. Unbelievable.
Big and crowded but I love the store so now I shop Home Depot online only. You can have it shipped to your home or pick up at the store for no extra fee.
At this point Id give less than 1 star if I could. First in the past few weeks Ive called Home Depot in Williston VT several times, and NONE of my calls have been answered! Even after 20-30 rings! Secondly, in one day I had two different employees snap at me when I asked them generic questions! If only LOWES had everything I need Id avoid Home Depot entirely. They obviously dont want or need my business!
Love it there covers everthing
I love this place. They have pretty much everything I need and want. The tools are great and hardy.
Been to better places couldnt get decent help
I bought a Samsung washing machine that was delivered today and the driver Troy didnt have the common sense to turn off the water nozzle all the way in order to disconnect my old machine. I did it in 60 seconds!!!The driver left me hanging with the old machine which was to be taken away and my new washer is not attached. He said to call a plumber. This is very poor!!!!! Now i have been trying to reach a live person at the store and no one answers.
Eh. Decent selection but you cant find anyone around to save your life.
Charles at the pro desk has the best customer service and is super nice and helpful. We buy all our windows there through Charles
A simple we dont have it in stock would have sufficed. Instead we got rude comments from staff.
This was an absolute horror show. I was on hold for 44 minutes on my phone. When they finally answered the person and hardware department said the product I need is in stock. Even gave him the part number and said yes its in stock. After driving 45 minutes to get there and find out he didnt even bother with looking. No product insight or on the shelf
Took me two days and over three hrs to order and they still got order wrong. It is a nightmare at Home Depot. Will not return.
I’ve had some horrible customer service experiences in my life, but I am not exaggerating when I say this was absolutely THE worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I drove an hour and a half, dropped 430 dollars in cash on a saw, drove an hour and a half home, carried the heavy saw 3 flights of stairs and opened it. To my surprise, there was no dust bag or owners manual. I called customer service they told me I would have to drive all the way back to return it. I asked to speak to someone in the tool department they put me on hold for 10 minutes before I got looped back to customer service. The next person I talked to put me on hold for another 20 minutes. I felt ignored, so I called back again and the woman who answered was rude, condescending and extremely sarcastic. When I got angry with her she just escalated the situation. I asked her for her name so I could report her to an upper level manager and she refused to give me her name. When she finally gave the phone to a manager, a girl named Rory who happened to cash me out answered and when I explained things to her, she was extremely unapologetic and tried to defend the other girls god awful customer service. The only way a girl like that gets promoted to manager is by her looks. Anybody who thinks that speaking to a customer in the way the other girl did doesn’t deserve her job, let alone the other girl. They also lied to me and told me that online would be able to help me exchange it, which is false. Tomorrow, I will be bringing the saw along with about 500 dollars worth of other tools I bought online back to the Queensbury store and never step foot in a Home Depot again. Also, I don’t understand why Home Depot doesn’t offer phone scannable receipts for cash purchases for online records. Lowe’s does and I will forever be loyal customer to them. I have never had a problem at Lowe’s. The folks there are helpful and friendly and guys are cool to talk to as well. Not stuck up and too good to do their job correctly. I’m completely disgusted by Home Depot
Went for some Easter plants for my daughters and daughter in law had plenty of options in and out really quick
Alot of the staff has no clue. Ill leave it at that.If you are expecting them to be able to lookup a product the keep outside, so u can pay and load up.....think again. No matter what it is, you will likely want to load it up and bring it in with you to save some headache for you and confusion for them. Trust me
Staff is great. They check in on us and really at least act like they care.
Found what I was looking for and the staff/cashier were very pleasant!
Working suck when it comes to delivery they had my item holding for weeks and will not delivery them has all kinds of stories when it came to sending out my items on delivery they keep pushing back the dates, plus they do not pick up the phone very poor worker at this store and in the delivery dept
Just a great store. Helpful people
DONT EVER ORDER APPLIANCES from Home Depot, our order of all kitchen appliances was supposed to be delivered and installed today, I had clicked having the appliances up and running and haul away the old ones. The delivery truck showed up and I was told they do not take out or install appliances and that Home Depot does not install dishwashers that I would have to hire someone to do it. that maybe they could get someone at the end of the week to install the microwave. I refused the delivery and am filing with the States Attorney for false advertising, nevermind that they had charged me for installation and haul away. I may also be filing a suit against them for the additional cost to purchase elsewear no longer at sale pricing.
We did something that we rarely do. We walked in the door of Home Depot, knowing what we wanted to buy. It was literally just a matter of delivery date. This morning the best delivery date was 12/10. By tonight, it was already 12/17. We did want to look at the alternatives, but it wasnt a matter of eliminating the alternatives, as we needed the fridge asap and this one was perfect for what we wanted, but pricey. We intended to pay in cash. Our salesperson was terrific. He suggested that we could save $100 additional dollars by paying by Home Depot card. He said that people did so every day. When asked for a phone number for the delivery ticket, I gave my LAN line (my home number) as the preferred line for delivery day, instead of my cell phone. My wife applied for a card, and received approval for up to $8,000. The fridge was pricey but not that pricey. When we attempted to then use the card, Citibank would not allow us to use the new card. The number wed used was not my cell phone, so they couldnt call and verify. They asked us to drive more than an hour home, to verify the application, and then an hour plus back to the store, or risk losing our delivery date. We used a different card, and then came home and settled with Citibank. We will likely never use the card now, because this was such an unpleasant experience, but it really wasnt the fault of the store personnel. Bottom line though, we walked in @6, knowing what we wanted and didnt leave until @8:30, having not had any dinner and facing an hour drive home. I wish we could get an earlier delivery date, like maybe if there was a cancellation or something, as we have no fridge, and were at home due to Covid-19.
Very helpful and had a great selection
I ordered an oven (order # W869014030) to be delivered in Hinesburg which is local to this store. They delivery team missed 3 delivery windows, which is incredibly annoying given we made arrangements to be home, and the excuses they gave via phone and text message were very lame. We had to cancel the order. I would need to be insane to order anything from home depot again after this experience.
Friendly staff, fast checkout, very helpful floor sales lady
Service was nice, customer service was very nice
We were having a very difficult experience with a local company on a composite decking project. Andrew at the Pro Desk stepped up and helped us get the materials needed and did so much faster than expected. The whole experience could not have been better. Outstanding customer service.
Truly the best customer service of any big store I’ve experienced. The associates at the painting center are incredible and so friendly, thanks for helping me get the painting supplies I need! Also, I was glad to witness a detailed morning safety briefing to protect employees and customers. Keep up the good work and thanks for being there for the community during the pandemic.
Always perfect.
The pro desk is always super helpful with large orders!! Keep up the great work guys!!
Could be a better experience with customer service helping with loading of large items as not every person can get 80inch doors loaded easy without scratching
Most of the employees here cant even tell you where to go to view or purchase a fence. When it was time time to order. They did the same thing over again. They sent us all over the store and seem clueless as to who knew what and how to go about it. Normally, Home Depot is my go to store, but this store is making me reevaluate this!
Great customer service, value, and selection.
We went onto the store with the vaguest idea of what we needed to complete our bathroom renovation and were perusing the fixtures when we lucked out and Mike came by, noticed our obvious uncertainty and offered help. We not only got a great price when he directed us away from what we were looking at, but he showed us exactly what we needed. And he helped us step-by-step through our list with finding what we needed and suggesting things we didnt know would be important. All-in-all the absolute best experience at any DYI store ever! Kudos Mike! You earned our sincere gratitude today, and you earned our return to Home Depot for our next project.
Yo.. its Home Depot.Didnt find what you wanted?--did you really look? ;]
Cant beat mulch at 5 bags for $10.00Also enjoyed seeing all the spring battery powered tools for summer work.
Had exactly what I needed. The app is very helpful in locating items in the store as are the employees.
Always a great shopping experience here. Not to busy.
Normally this place is fine - low prices, has pretty much everything. I came here to get a 1000lbs of grout (yes 1000). Asked for help and the guy told me no. I don’t really ever ask for help and the one time I do they say no. I don’t really like them apples.
Friendly knowledgeable staff that knows where things are. If they dont know where they are they actually look them up which I didnt know you could on your phone. It will tell you in what aisle and what bay if you go to the stores website, it will also tell you how many is left and whether they are on sale that week.
Their Shipping Department is a joke I paid them thousand dollars for washer&drayer, it’s been 2 months still didn’t receive anything I had appointments for delivery twice no one called or showed up
Was great every one was wearing masks..an Employees were there to help locate things...
Store condition was pretty good. Variety of merchandise was beyond expectations. I usually have to ask more than one or two employees for assistance. Store personal are not very knowledgeable or concerned.
Took 20 minutes for person to cut a key and place was not even busy
This Home Depot gets four stars because of several really excellent sales associates. Ive gotten very friendly, accurate advice on a whole range of topics. Great staff!
Purchased fencing from home depot in williston on 5/24. Waiting for delivery because of pandemic they were behind. That is understandable. at time of purchase I was told I could pick up and get $79 delivery fee refunded. Call on 6/27 to see when it would be delivered. Was told they were out of stock. Asked how could they sell something that I owned? Received no decent response. They did promptly refund my $550 after having it in their bank account for slightly over a month. I will never by anything there without taking it with me.
Got what I needed and was on my way.
Very organized store babe wanted to leave cause she wanted to check out some other wood
Great store, good service
I go to this Home Depot a lot for random projects and legitimately every time is a great experience. The staff go out of their way to help me whether it’s a school project or a home project. Not only do they give advice and take the time to find things, they are genuinely great people to talk to. I was trying to build a wind tunnel for a class project and a few of the employees took the time to help me cut pvc into hundreds of small pieces (not as easy as it sounds). They did this with smiles on their faces, good conversation, great advice for my project, and all in all made what could have been work, a fun experience. That’s just one of many examples. I joke with my friends, if I’m ever having a bad day, I’ll just go hang out with the people at Home Depot. Wish I was better at names so I could list off everyone I’ve had a great experience with. Highly recommend
Always under stocked compared to other Home Depot’s out of state. Online orders take a week or more to arrive in store. It’s literally next day back in NH.
I like this place for the professional service, cashiers offers discount for Veterans
After going there, had to get everything on line. The Employees were great!!
Helpful and friendly staff
Helpful staff
Alek was very friendly, and was amazing help
Wrong prices marked, over charged, staff unhelpful.
Communism is the hammer with which we shall smash our enemies and there is no cheaper place to buy one than at home depot
Spent alot of time and $ here this year as I jumped at the chance to work outside! Everyone gracious in dealing with us and helping guide us. Plant quality excellent. They have the COVID thing sown pat and we could navigate easily, even with big carts.
Just a home depot nothing special
Only wish this was closer to Barre VT. Always find what we are looking for, friendly and helpful staff, and normally ha ein stock what we need.
Asked for my food well done. Nobody acknowledged me. And it wasnt well done. But decent food!
Had new door lock sets keyed alike to my present door locks. Only took 1 day, worked perfectly. Service desk person very pleasent.
Typical Home depot. Wasnt to busy.
Though they didnt have what we were looking for the staff was knowledgeable and courteous
Good and nice all you need for tools is good deal
