I called Jordan at Port City AV on a Monday evening and they were at the house early Wednesday. They were very professional and courteous making sure we were aware of our options and offering their advice. We had a 51 television mounted as well as surround sound set up. They explained what they were doing each step and were overly accomodating to our decisions. Overall we were very pleased with the whole experience and will be calling them again for any future installations.

Total Tech AV mounted a 65 TV in a location that was not suitable for components; components were installed in a closet requiring wiring over a stairwell via the attic. The remote installation resulted in a sleek appearance for the mounted TV and is functioning very well with the sophisticated programable remote (three remotes now to one remote); they provided a tip sheet for new remote, too. The only caution for such a remote is that it needs to be returned to a charger and is costly to replace. The Total Tech AV team provided quality workmanship and were very professional. We will contact them with any future need!

I recently transitioned from the Army and had just moved into my new house and needed help getting my entertainment system up and running. I called Jordan with Port City AV and left a message around 3:00 in the afternoon on a Friday. He returned my call in less than 10 minutes and informed me he was in the area and could stop by to assess the job and give me a quote within the hour. I was pleased to see a company van with two professional individuals in my driveway shortly after we got off the phone. After a quick introduction Jordan sized up the installation of my 52” Plasma, power outlet, and in wall HDMI ports above my gas fireplace. He quoted me a price that was much lower than I had expected which was great, but even better he said they could do the install right now!! The installation was completed quickly, cleanly, and better than any vision I had in my head. Not only that but Jordan and his employ continued to clean debris left by the movers. I told him it was not their responsibility but they continued to clean up the area around the fireplace and T.V. anyway. I normally do not write reviews but the level of service I received compelled me to do so. We spent 5 figures with Audio Lab (Wilmington, NC) to outfit our home with integrated TV’s, Audio, etc. After months of frustration and excuses in trying to get our components to work together, we called Mike Hayes and the Port City Sound team. Wow, what a difference! They explained why what was originally installed was not working, simplified things and had us up and running for the long run. Any post installation questions were answered promptly and with courtesy. From our experience, Port City Sound is the best you can do in Wilmington.

We had a custom movie theater built in our bonus room, Jordon and TJ did a fantastic job on the lay out, screen size, speaker options and a custom install. jordon promised a turn key job and finished on the date we agreed on. His sub contractors were also great people to work with and made the job go smooth. I called these guys late on a Friday afternoon. I needed a new remote installed for my living room system and I also wanted them to clean up wires and neaten things up from the guys that originally installed the system. An appointment was set for the following Tuesday afternoon and an approximate price was agreed upon over the phone.These guys showed up on time, installed the new remote and set it up per my specifics, cleaned up all the wires coming from the components, found a bad HDMI cable and replaced it, and had my system up and running better than the guys that originally installed the system! They were nice, neat in appearance, knowledgeable and for a bonus their prices were beyond reasonable!I have another system I plan to have built and installed this fall and will be calling them to do the work! These guys are spot on!

Best ever experience since moving to the Wilmington area. Very professional, always on time. Cleaned up after themselves which to me is a big deal, because most workmen do not do that. We now have an amazing tv ( Sony 65 4K Z9D) and Sonos Home Theater and audio system through our house. They also fixed my internet connection that I had been having problems with for 2 years that my cable company never did get fixed correctly. If I forget something and I call about it they always call in a very timely manner. If not able to call back immediately I will get a text telling me when to expect call back that day.

Terrific, reliable, courteous, professional customer service. We had a wall installation of a large flat screen TV and sound bar and a receiver, cable box, and dvd placed in a closet in 2013, and it all looked great and worked flawlessly. One year later, we noted that the sound was off, and we called Total Tech AV. They came out, spent a good deal of time analyzing the problem, and found that it was the soundbar that stopped working properly-- an unusual manufacturing flaw. Total Tech contacted the factory, determined that it was still under warranty, sent back the soundbar, and promptly came back and installed a new one-- all at no charge. I am planning at some point in the future to upgrade my entertainment system, and you can be sure that I will have Total Tech AV on the job. Nothing but the highest recommendation for these folks.

Port City Audio & Video Specialists was very professional and helpful and selecting the TV and the sound system I needed for my house. The Sony TV I purchased (70 HD) is perfect for my living room space. Initially I wasnt too sure about purchasing the SONOS soundbar and the subwoofer but I am glad that Jordan convinced me that this is the best sound system for what I was looking for. Now that the system is hooked up, it blows me away--the quality of the sound is better than what I expected, plus the ability to add on additional wireless speakers, and ease of connectivity to other music system is excellent. I reached out to Jordan and set up an appointment to have him come and provide an estimate to possibly replace my entire home theater system. We made an appointment for May 19th at 4pm. By 5pm Jordan hadn’t arrived and I called and left a message with his answering service. I called again on May 19th and have not heard back as of yet.
