I’m from out-of-state when my 1997 BMW 540i driver-side wheel started thumping and sounding as though the wheel was about to fall off at low speeds. I took the car to Bear Alignment in the morning without an appointment and received a diagnosis from Jim by 11am with brake job pricing options based on OEM vs. after-market parts. He said the car would be ready by 4pm.It was ready on time and priced as quoted. Jim gave me a briefing on the job performed and what was deviated because of the age of car (brake signal wire is frail). He also gave the general condition of the car’s suspension.I do recommend this shop.

Dropped my car off this morning, four tires replaced and alignment finished a little after lunch. The gentleman helping me was very friendly, personable, professional and very skilled. I felt like he wasn’t trying to sell me on anything or do any unnecessary repairs or sell me. I would STRONGLY recommend anyone to come here as my grandfather had for decades when he was alive.My tires actually grip the road now haha. And everything seems very well balanced, i have a very smooth ride now but also feel secure on the road. 10/10

I brought my 1964 Corvair for an alignment, after two local shops did me wrong. It was like driving another car, as I headed home up i-95!!! Jim corrected the prior alignment and I’m very pleased.

Car was pulling slightly to the right. Dealership did not do the work, as promised, when I bought the car. Another shop told me I had a bent tie rod. Of course they could fix it for $800. Bear aligned the car, resolving the problem for $90. Thanks!!

I love this place so much I almost don’t want to tell people about it because I’m afraid they’ll get too busy for me! Jim is so honest and friendly and will always give me the least expensive option when I’m on a budget. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have used Bear three times in the past couple years. They do fine work and seem to be very honest. No calls about other expensive repairs they found and strongly recommend you have done asap. Their estimates have been spot on and they meet their schedules. Job good old fashion quality with no hype.

This place is garbage. I called two days ago and explained I needed my alignment looked at. the gentleman told me what day they were available and I set up an appointment. He then says I am to drop it off at 8-9 am and he will call when its ready. I said Ill wait for it. He then says no you have to drop it off. I said well I dont have another car so Ill just wait in the waiting room. his attitude totally changed and he said we wont work on it if you cant drop it off !!!!! So I am happily sitting at Delaware tire center in Newark and they are looking at my car waiting room coffee competitive prices and great service

This is a place of tradition. My grandfather, Delaware Johnson his son, Delaware Johnson Jr and now me, Harrison Reeder. It is the only place that I will take my car for brake work or front end work. There not over price and there truly fair. It like the old school way. This is the type of place you can give a hand shake and the business is done. When you walk in the shop it has that old nostalgia about it. Some of the original stuff is in it, when it open up many decades ago. Its a gem when it come to business and if you want it done right, look no further. Personally, I like sitting in the shop and just thinking about how many people have come through here and to use the old time water fountain. To think that Im using a piece of history and becoming a part of history.
