We were on a weekend trip to the area and had a flat tire on our Mini Countryman SE. These are runflat tires and I had no experience with them, and Mike and the rest of the staff were excellent at getting a tire located, brought in, and mounted to replace the bad one we had. I felt that the team there was caring and genuinely wanted to help. I highly recommend them for their willingness to help.

I’ve never felt the urge to review a business until my experience today with Firestone. From start (calling them at 10 AM this morning) to finish (had my car ready by 5 PM) they were professional, friendly, and helpful. I corresponded mostly with Chris... the repairs were explained to me and both the work order and receipt were promptly sent to my e-mail. Payment was also painless. & My car was ready within just a few hours!!! (which I appreciate because we are on vacation and drove an hour to get there!) so - I definitely recommend these guys for your car needs!

An alignment just about anywhere locally owned is $55. I was willing to pay twice that today because you were open on Sunday.I made an appointment online. What a waste of time that was. Attached is a screenshot of my Email Confirmation clearly stating the time/date requested and a nice little note: if you requested time becomes unavailable we will contact you to reschedule.I show up (early even) and am told there is no record of my appointment. He apparently has no idea how to even search to see if I made an appointment and tells me they are booked for the day.I rearranged my work schedule, arranged for a ride home during repair and all that effort was wasted.Firestone will never see a dollar from me again.Wilmington, NC location needs a training seminar on how to use your online appointment schedule.

So, my boyfriend brought his car in to get new tires on a Sunday as they were the only shop open in town. They informed him that they were very busy and may not get to it until the next day, which was fine with us. 3 DAYS go by and we do not get a call from him, so finally on the following wednesday morning and they tell him its been ready and no one called us. That was annoying enough, but it gets worse. He shows up and they tell him they have lost his key. Yes, lost the car key. He ends up waiting at the shop for OVER 3 HOURS waiting on a lock smith who claimed that the car would not unlock. Finally, they get it open after now, over 3 days, and only offer him a free oil change. Changing tires should take 30 minutes, max, and now its been 3 full days AND he has to go through the work of ordering a new (expensive) key fob from Honda and waiting for that to come in, because yes, they never found the key. Anyways, this place is a 0/5, awful service.

Made an appointment for an oil change. Got there right on time and they said it would be 2-3 hours because they had 1 car ahead of me. Why make an appointment and why should an oil change take 1-2 hours? Left and went to Valvoline where I was in and out in 20 minutes. Will not return here.

Went in for some tires met with Mike,Chris, and JJ were all fantastic and great. Mike and Chris both very knowledgeable and precise on helping me find what I was looking for. I recommend anyone to go here to have work done. JJ the tech worked spectacular and went above and beyond to take care of my jeep. I will continue to do my repair needs here.

I called at 8:30am to see if they had a tire in stock. They did, I arrived at 9:30 and they had. Line out the door. Randy is the ultimate professional! They worked the front with precision and great customer service in spite of the crowd and rush. Techs worked hard and consistent.I was out in 1 1/2 hours! Kudos!!! Great staff! Thanks!

Stay away from this place. I had my car towed here and the check engine light was on and running rough. They ran a USELESS diagnostic for 100 bucks. I say its useless because it did not lead to a diagnosis that corrected the issue. After installing a new $600 solinoid (?) - check engine light still on and car still running rough. I was told they dont have the staff with the ability to correct the issue. WHA? Im supposed to pay 700 bucks for an unnecessary repair and test, get my car towed from that garage (because Im not breaking down on the side of the road AGAIN) to a REAL garage then pay even more to that garage? Ripoff.

I made an appointment and over four hours later my car still wasnt ready. When I got my car back the passenger seat was all the way reclined, the radio station was changed, there were oily hand prints on my hood, oil all over the inside of the engine and no service sticker on my windshield. I washed the inside of my car (common touch areas) out with Clorox wipes because of Covid19 and it was absolutely black. Im truly disappointed in Firestone for this service.

This place is a ripoff. Wanted to charge my daughter over $400 to replace and fix a Window Regulator and motor. They said $300 something for the part and $100 something for labor. The part is less than $100 and any parts store. The window was down and it wouldnt roll up. They somehow got it to roll up and charged $60.

Dont go to this Firestone, theyll fix your stuff, but then cause more problems in your car.Took my car in for an oil change, and was told about four other things that I need to have done as well. I wasnt skeptical until they said tire realignment, which I had done less than a year ago with a mechanic that I trust. I let it go through, just without the tire realignment. Long wait, but I was having it done when I was at work so I didnt mind, AND it turned out that the rattling noise that was happening was mostly cosmetic, so thats cool!So, why one star?Literally the next day as Im driving home, my check engine light comes on. I take it to them, mention that I was just there the previous day, and that my check engine lights now magically on. The guy at the counter tells me itll be $100 just to run the diagnostic (tell me whats wrong with it) and thats not even fixing anything.So I took it to Advance Auto Parts where they do the diagnostic for FREE because they care about getting your car running.Took it to Custers the next day, they called me back within thirty minutes to tell me that it was a vacuum hose that was disconnected. They also didnt tell me I needed to get my tires realigned, and if I were a betting man, Id say its because they dont need to be realigned.Now, maybe that was something Firestone did, and didnt put back.And then they were going to charge me $100 to fix it.If youre going to charge $100 for a diagnostic, you better have some good customer service. Firestone doesnt, and instead of saying oh wow the check engine light came on the next day after we serviced it, here lets take a look for what WE did wrong instead said thatll be $100.For a mistake that THEY made.All it takes is one bad experience, folks. Im never going to another Firestone again.

In my experience there seems to be two philosophies in mechanic shops. One is, be honest and put the customer first. The second is, extract as much money from the customer as possible by any means necessary. I would say this Firestone falls into the latter.I brought a vehicle there for rear brake pads, after being quoted a reasonable price in the phone. After having my vehicle for a couple hours I was told it needed calipers, rotors, etc. I was given a new total of almost $700. What they were charging for the parts was double the going rate, and I was pretty sure I didnt actually need the parts.I had them put it back together, and took it another mechanic who verified my initial suspicion. They were lying about what the vehicle needed, and overcharging me. Typical scam.

Horrible service. To be honest I got better service when I was a walk in a couple weeks ago versus making an appointment!!!! Came in for a slow tire leak, they fixed the leak only for it to leak again in less than a week. Made an appointment, was 15 minutes early for my appointment. The associate said it would be an hour to 1.5 wait. Fine went to get a wrap and smoothie from tropical smoothie (the only reason this review gets one star!) come back over an hour later to find my truck parked in the lot! Thinking positive thought my timing was perfect!! Nope they hadn’t even started!!! Asked for my keys and was told that others had come in delaying my vehicle service... so u took walk ins versus my appointment ..... right will never step foot in this establishment again. If i broke down in the parking lot I would have it towed ANYWHERE else! Don’t waste your entire day folks I called somewhere else and was in and out in 30 minutes!

I made an appointment over 2 weeks in advance to get my ac checked. When I got here, I was told the ac guy wasn’t here and to come back the next day. Then then I came back the next two days at the time they instructed me to, and was told both times that the ac guy left. They told me to come back Friday(Today) at 3 o’clock, it is now 5:30 and they just started working on my car. They told me it would just take a few minutes, I have been sitting in the waiting room for 2.5 hours. I am very annoyed by the terrible service I have been given. I’ve came to this place 4 days in one week and wasted countless hours. I am never coming back.

I took my car in for an oil change. I called to make an appointment earlier that day and arrived at my appointment time. They told me it would be a 45 minute wait and take another 45 minutes to change the oil. It took them nearly 2 hours. Finally, when they finished and I went to pay I noticed the price was lower than I was originally told. The man said my car only required standard so he changed it. I SPECIFICALLY requested the synthetic blend because that is what I always used in my car and do do a significant amount of driving. I even signed a paper when I first arrived agreeing to what type of oil was to be used and the price. I did NOT agree to having standard oil used in my car.I will NOT be returning. I’d rather pay more somewhere else than go back there. My car has not felt the same with this oil. You know what, it also only requires regular gas too but sure drives a lot better with premium.

I was a walk-in customer with a leaking front right tire. (I have been filling it every couple of days.) I was greeted with a grumble and after looking at his clipboard basically said its going be a long wait. No problem i thought. While as i am waiting i hear the same guy with the Bronx accent telling a lady that they couldnt find her leak but filled all of her other tires at no charge. 20 minutes later, i get called up thinking that it took less time than i expected! Nope, they couldnt find the leak and filled all my tires at no charge. 4 days later the tire is flat and i am going to be late to work. Entirely predictable. If i went to a barber, and after an hour of sitting on the chair without a hair cut only to be shuffled out with a courtesy cut, i wouldnt be back. My advise is, read the negative reviews and get your car anywhere else to be repaired.

Ive been a loyal customer at Firestone for years in Maryland and now in, North Carolina But todays experience at the Wilmington NC College Road location may put an end to that. I came in mid afternoon with a leaking tire and was told it would be at least an hour and a half if not more. The representative went out to the car and got the tire number then came back took my key. I sat there for almost 2 hours just to find out from another guy that the tire has to be replaced and that they do not have any in stock and I would not be able to have the tire replaced for 2 days from now. So, the first guy has access to the same screens on the computer as the last guy 2 hours later. So why couldnt the first guy tell me we dont have that tire in stock after having gone out to get the tire number off of the car?? Interesting how I just spent almost $1,000 on a set of tires for an SUV less than a week and a half ago. Where is the customer loyalty?

Got all the work they recommended for my vehicle and my vehicle is worse than when I took it to them. And the tech had the nerve to tell me to buy a new car but my car was fine until I got your recommendations done! Its like they fix one thing and mess up something else to be fixed. Within the past 2 months I have spent close to $2200 and my car is down. The only good thing was the tires I brought.

I would like to recognize the store manager Lawrence who was very helpful and knowledgeable to me and my husband the other day. We had researched 3 different places in the area to get tires and have our brakes changed. His price was fair and reasonable. He could have charged us for brakes, but after the Free brake inspection he said they were not needed. Because of THIS honesty we chose this business to take care of our car. We were very pleased with the overall professionalism and courtesy by everyone at this store.

Wish there was a zero option. Crooks! Absolute crooks! Purchased four brand of tires from them and within a month one of the tires went completely flat. Because it put me on the side of the road I had to use a small can of fix a flat to keep from tearing the tire up, and hopes I would not have to purchase a new tire. When I get back to Firestone they claim the 50,000 mile warranty is a relevant basically because are used fix a flat and it was against their policy to fix those at but rather to actually replace the tire. How m purchased for brand of tires from them and within a month one of the tires went completely flat. Because I was on the side the road in the rain and the tire was completely flat are used a small can of fix a flat to get enough air in it to get to an airport, and hopes of not totally destroying the tire. When I take it back to Firestone to hopefully get it just plugged they attend it tells me that I have to replace the tire because their policy says they can’t repair them they have to replace them. Since when is the client responsible for knowing your policy? If I had driven on the tire and destroyed it they would’ve just replaced the tire. They will NEVER get my business again.

Clean place with patient, friendly, and informative staff! I brought my Civic to them because (I thought) I had a low/almost flat tire this morning on my way home to Destin. It ended up being a cracked rim that they couldn’t fix, but they did everything else humanly possible to help me: they got me in as quick as possible (they were slammed), checked everything else and made sure it was in good working order to get me home, suggested a good rim repair shop, and didn’t charge me a cent!! I’m very grateful to them, and they come highly-recommend for doing their best to take care of this out-of-state girl! ♥️♥️♥️ Like I couldn’t love this city more! 😉

We were staying with a friend in Wilmington, a 6 hour drive from where we live. On our way back, before we left Wilmington, we discovered we had a nail in a brand new tire (we just replaced our tires 3 months ago and this was our first out of town trip with them). Firestone was the closest place open on a Sunday that could patch a tire, a service which they CLAIM to offer. Before we took the tire in, we had my friends neighbor, who used to be a mechanic, take a look at the tire. He said it could definitely be patched and he tried to help with the patch kit we bought at a gas station, which unfortunately was a piece of crap and didnt work, so hes the one who recommended that we take it somewhere nearby to have it patched professionally. So. We went to Firestone with the tire in question, and they claimed they couldnt patch it simply because we had already tried, no legitimate reason. It was obvious to us that the staff just didnt feel like it. Of course they could sell us a NEW tire for over $70 (even though our tire was perfectly fine, other than the nail). We declined, found the nearest Sears auto center, took our tire there, and they had the tire fixed within an hour for only $20, which we are being reimbursed for from the place we bought the tires from since they were still under warranty. The service at Sears was friendly and prompt, even though they were much busier than Firestone. DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE LOCATION. Sears is very close and MUCH better service, and the mechanic at Sears is the one who told us to check on the reimbursement once we got back to where we live, so we ended up paying nothing.

I have come to this location two times. I own a Firestone Credit Card and this will have been my 6th time going to Firestone. Never had a problem, until this location. The first time I had an appointment at 8 am. They didnt even touch the vehicle until 10 am, while I sat there. After that it took them a little over an hour to change two tires. So I was there for about 3.5 hours just for the two tires. The second time I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had an appointment at 10 am. I came in early because of my previous experience. I showed up at 8:30 am, and the gentleman made it seem as though he would be able to get my car in then. I dropped off the keys and left. I came back at 10 am just to see where they were at. They said they hadnt touched the vehicle and it was next. I understood since my appointment wasnt until 10 am anyways. They then called me at 11:30 am to give me a quote. $679 to do pads and rotors on the front of my vehicle. I told the sales associate that was absurd. I said I have been waiting here for 3.5 hours and youre just now giving me a quote, for a ridiculous price. I said if you had it finished by now I would of paid it, and been done with it, but you havent even started yet. He told me they could be done by 2 pm ish. Knowing I would probably be there till 4 pm or later, I said no thanks. They pulled my car back around and gave me the keys after charging me $22 to fill my tire with air and to do the inspection. That will be the last time I visit that location, and I will continue to warn people about this location. They will not respect your time.

I scheduled alignment and oil online and showed up at 1:00 the next day. They were pretty busy, every bay occupied, but I still handed off the keys, wandered around, had a burrito, and within 2 hours, they were done. The car was pulling to the right and now its perfectly straight. The engine was getting noisy and now it purrs. The price was fair, the work was honest, and I give the experience a 10/10. Paid $80 for alignment, best deal around for a 1 year warranty, and $40 for the synthetic blend high mileage oil. Both were $10 off with coupons. I arrived at 1:00 and was home by 3:00. I dont think I got lucky, I just think its easy for people to get miffed over little things or big repair bills because they drive their cars to death. From Portland, Oregon to Wilmington, North Carolina, Firestone hasnt let me down.

Our minivan left us sit close to this shop, so we left it there instead of towing it to our normal shop. It needed a new radiator.The good: they had the radiator replaced within a few hours.The bad: they were several hundred dollars more than our normal mechanic. I could have lived with that, but I ended up having to take the van to my mechanic anyway for him to fix the leak that they werent able or willing to fix. We took it back to Firestone twice, and they fixed one coolant leak. But even after telling them that we could see red transmission fluid on the garage floor, they told us it was fine. After this we gave up and went to our normal mechanic. He said it was quite messy under the transmission cooler and it took him a while to clean up their mess.These guys may be okay for tires, but I wouldnt recommend them for anything else. I wont go back there, even if my car dies on their doorstep.

The tires are good but the service is poor. Ive used them 3 times, each time Ive made an appointment and each time it has taken far longer than necessary. The first time took 4 hours to put on 2 tires and this last time was over 2 hours to put 2 tires on.

I had a great experience at this Firestone. The guys were very helpful, and my total came in about $150 below the estimate (which was much lower than I was expecting). Brought it in for resurfacing on rear rotors and replacement on front rotors with no appointment, on a day they were booked solid. Took about 2.5 hrs from start to finish and I felt that was an appropriate amount of time, and quicker than I expected.

Unfortunately, this shop is forcing me to cut ties.My tires “failed” a NC vehicle safety inspection when the measurements they wrote on the inspection form were compliant.Hmmmmm...a tire retailer failing tires? I went to this location several times because I had purchased the lifetime rotate and balance when I bought tires at a Firestone in a different state.However, I have been consistently disappointed by the service recommendations and the way the staff speak to customers, about customers, and about each other.Just one example - they claimed that my wifes car needed a very costly repair. Two different mechanics at other (much more highly rated) shops said that this repair was completely unnecessary.I now go to Aspen Tire and Auto for my basic maintenance/repair needs and am much happier with the service I receive there.Local management or Firestones corporate office need to take a seriously close look at this place and their operating procedures.

Made an appointment for 1:00 for a tire leak. Car was still sitting in the lot at 1:40. The tech finally brought it in and put it up on the lift and walked away for 15 minutes. Came back and took the tire off and walked away for another 15 minutes. One of the guys at the front desk noticed me pacing around the window and asked me which car was mine. He had to go back in the bays to tell the tech to finish my car because I had been “waiting forever” (his words). Absolutely unreasonable wait. Should have been done in 30 minutes but it took over an hour and a half. Would not recommend this shop to anyone.

I bought my car into this location last month because my tire was flat and the check engine light was on. I picked up my car 2 days later with a new tire. Drove the car 5 minutes and the check engine indicator light came back on. Bought it back in and a week later got the car back with a new O2 sensor. Drove the car 5 minutes, check engine light indicator back on. Return the car and i am told they are short staffed and no one will be able to look at it. I left the car there..and 10 days later, the car is parked in the same spot I left it in. When i went in to ask about the status of the car, I was informed that the lead technician was on vacation for 10 days and no one else is capable of checking the indicator light. No one called me to explain this. I have been without the use of my car which I need fpr for my job for close to 3 weeks. The worse customer service I have ever experienced!

Stop overbooking just to make more money. 4 out of the 9 customers that were here as I walked in were mad about how long they had been waiting. Hire more people!!!! I spent a thousand dollars on a set of tires. Had an appt and it still took about four hours. One of the tires had a slow leak that I had to air up every couple of weeks. Ive been working on the road and couldnt get back in for a few months. Finally took it back and they said it had a screw in it and was not fixable. They didnt have my tire in stock so sold me a higher priced tire. The jerk Randy who worked there whined the whole time about we didnt have an appointment. Like I would need an appt to get a new tire checked. Took them hours to do a fifteen minute job.

The person whom I spoke to said yes, but I would need to drop it off and they would get to it before the close of day. I didn’t have an appointment. So I was like, fine, no problem. I brought my vehicle there and was informed I would receive a call by 4p. No phone call, I called back and was told “it wasn’t looked at yet;we’ll call when it’s ready”. It was getting close to closing time, still no phone call, I called once again and was NOW told that it’d be looked at in the morning, they’ll call by 10a. I called them this morning which once again, they never called me as told and was informed “you’re next”. No way!!! At this point, it was a waste of my time and certainly an inconvenience that if they couldn’t get to it, why not say they couldn’t fit me in instead of giving me false promises?!! I could’ve had this repaired YESTERDAY! No thanks, I took back my car and went elsewhere, and so should you!

Today, my tire blew out in the middle of my work day. I travel to client homes as part of my job and needed a new tire ASAP. Firestone was able to fit me in and change my tire within an hour. Total lifesaver!

So incredibly pleased with my experience today. They were so busy, but the men up front, Randy & Nathaniel, were so welcoming, informative, and nice that I felt like I had to write a review after I left just to commend their service. Each customer that walked in was greeted kindly and I could overhear phone conversations in which the service advisors were explaining in depth the work that people were receiving on their cars and what price they should expect. I noticed that no further work would be done without a verbal consent from the customer, which is a relief to customers that dont want any expensive surprises on their invoices. My car feels great and I cant recommend this place enough.

Slowest place ever! And they dont care. I made an appointment for an a oil change sat for 45 minutes and still did not have my car in the garage. Appointments, walkins, doesnt matter here. Expect to be waiting around 2 plus hours for a simple oil change. I definitely never will be bringing anything here again.

I had a front end alignment,which took almost all day( 8 appt)got it back at 4pm,paid in full car was still pulling to the right,carried it back the next day to have it corrected, Firestone representative tells me they cant align, because??? But have taken my money prior saying it was aligned.This is just one of issues Ive encountered.

I made an appointment at 10am for a state inspection. At 11:15am, I went to see if it was almost done, and they had not even started. I understand that places are busy on the weekends, but the associates did not bother to keep me updated or seem to really care that I am taking my business elsewhere from now on. Would not recommend.

Person who checked me in was a little rude and didn’t listen to my needs. I had a paper with a diagnostic from my inspection that told exactly what needed to be repaired and when I tried to give it to him he didn’t take it saying he didn’t need it. They proceeded to come back out to the waiting area where I sat and told me “there are two parts so if we replace the wrong one then what”. I didn’t say anything just handed them the paper I tried to hand them the first time and didn’t see them anymore until they finished because the paper was so straightforward and precise. The technician that cashed me out was the only one with respect and sense.

I had been going to this Firestone since 2006 but in the last year the service has been abysmal. An appointment that was supposed to take an hour takes four. I waited for parts that would be there in “15 minutes” are not there 2 ½ hours later. Twice the issue I brought the car in for wasn’t even addressed but they did manage to perform $500 worth of work that they said I needed done. The last time I brought in my car to address a new issue and something that supposed to be repaired in a prior visit. When I picked up the car I learned they hadn’t even looked at the previous issue. My advice: don’t go there.

The only Firestone in town. My vehicle went in for rear breaks, tire rotation, oil change and state inspection. It was determined that it needed some extra work. It was there from 12:00 on Friday until 5:30 on Saturday. My speed sensor was left off and I had a check engine light, ABS light, and no speedometer when I picked it up. Took it back and they did give me a rental for two days until it could be repaired.

Did most of what I asked for. The complete vehicle inspection was lacking info about worn suspension components. Tire rotation not done but on invoice says was done. Tire pressure low on all tires and different pressures but invoice says all same and 5lbs higher than actual. Suggested new tires all around when rear tires are perfectly fine. Now questioning the other work done. 🤔 Ive lost all trust.

They overbook with their customers. I was told my service would take one and a half to two hours. Two hours later I was told it would be another one and a half hours. Had i known it would be 3 1/2 hours to four hours, I would’ve made other arrangements. Last visit!!!!Im editing this after looking at other reviews. Most complaints are over time and quality of work. I can here because the dealership is paying for the work. I think enterprise needs to get a contact with a new company.

Recently went their shop for a flat tire, they said they could but since its a new car the cost is higher, so ok no problem needed to get it done. So after an 45mins to find the problem fixed it and then I go and to pay and was told no charge since of the recent hurricane. Wow some companies actually care about the community around and would say that I would bring my vehicles to them even if it cost more just because how they treat people in times of need and the over all knowledge of their job.

I called to see if they had a battery in stock for my car and was told it would have to be ordered. Left my name and number and was told I would be notified in a few days when it came in. 5 days later I had not been notified, so I called the store and was told it still had not arrived. I was told that it might be there the next week. Now that week has came and gone and I still have not received a notification. Thats nearly 2 weeks and not so much as an update. If it takes this long just to make a sale, I cant imagine how long it would take if I needed warranty service on the battery. Thankfully, I purchased a battery a week ago from another business so if this one ever shows up they can keep it! I wont be back!

If I could I would t have even given them a star. Came in for a tire patch. Charged me $32.08. Seems a little pricy but what ever it’s fixed. They are down right ride and disrespectful. Talking disrespectfully about customers getting mad because he’s selling tires a 420pm when he said they close at 7. If you can’t do it because of appointments and no one to work then say you can’t. I go to pay in cas thought I had $33 and some change we’ll i had $31. Argued with me because I wanted to do a split Payment. Told me to only pay card. Don’t worry you won’t have to do it again I’ll never be back and won’t send any business there!
