I wasnt impressed with this company both when ordering or picking up once received. I ordered the flooring and then had them quote the install. They came out and said it needed dividers between each room which didnt align with what was previously installed. They sent me a total of 7 emails with Updated Quotes attached and all were different but no context to the change in the email or did they call to tell me why the change was necessary. I ended up finding a lower quote from a more reputable install company that was suggested by another flooring company and they said individual room dividers was the old school method of installation and hadnt really been done in 5-10 years.Skip forward to when I go to pick up the flooring they are loading it and hit the side of my truck bed with the pallet and we said whoa whoa - its hitting the side and the guys response What do you want me to do? Your other option is loading it by hand! Is anything damaged?

I was incredibly surprised that this company did not have any reviews on Google. I was shopping for Luxury Vinyl Plank floors for probably a year before I finally decided to do it. I went to a local place in Wilmington and got a quote for $2-$3k higher than what Floors of Wilmington charged. I also went to Home Depot and didnt like the brands they offered. Finally I decided to call Costco. I trust Costco and their guarantee immensely, so the fact that they use Floors of Wilmington as their local vendor says a lot. Chris, one of the Floors of Wilmington Representatives came over that same day and measured my floors at no charge. He also offered to measure my bedrooms and bathrooms in case I ever wanted to do flooring in those rooms, they would have my measurements on file. Then came the hard part (for me). I went to Floors of Wilmington to pick out my flooring. Chris was really helpful in guiding me to the colors I would like and not like. He also had great information about the sturdiness of my flooring and what types of warranty and guarantee I was looking at. I ended up taking 4 samples home to see in different lighting for a couple days. Chris worked up quotes for me on all the options so I could make my decision. Finally I decided on the Shaw Floorte Casa. The manufacturer/vendor had this on back order so the flooring wasn’t available for about 30-60 days. Chris was very transparent about this and even offered for me to come back and try different samples if I didn’t want to wait that long, but I decided to wait for the color that I liked.Throughout the wait, Chris called me to keep me updated that the flooring wasn’t in, but he was continually checking with the manufacturer to see when they’d be delivered. Once delivered, Chris went out of his way to set up an installation date. The installers they used for my place was Odell Flooring. Installation took 2-3 days. The owner of the company, Charles Odell, only came in the 1st day for a couple of hours. If I had one complaint it was that the owner was not on site. He didn’t come back to see the progress or the finish of the project. I understand my job may not be that big compared to others, but it would have been nice to get that assurance from him to check the quality of something he was putting his name on. Other than that the other installers were very thorough and attentive. They moved my furniture with care and were very kind. They were also aware of my cats and made sure they didn’t leave the door open in case the cats were to run out. There was one installer (I can’t recall his name) in particular that was great at communicating and explaining my product to me. My only other little complaint would be that towards the end of the project I think they felt rushed. It was late in the evening and I think they were trying to finish the project that day instead of coming back the next morning. I started to see a little sloppiness in stapling the quarter-round on the molding and the caulking. But other than that I was pleased. They knew they had to come back another day to fill in some gaps with colored caulk. I told them that there was no rush and they could do it when they were in the area which they said should only be a couple weeks. Chris called me to follow up with the installation which I told him about. He told me if the installers didn’t return to give him a buzz. After about 3-4 weeks I called Chris and he got the installers in there the following week to finish up the touch ups which I’m quite pleased with.If I were to make any suggestion to a new client, I would say rip up your carpet ahead of time and have Chris or the installers look at it prior to the installation date. I was on concrete slab and there were a lot of dips and raises on that type of flooring. Odell Flooring had to pour some concrete substitution to make it more even. I really did appreciate the time Chris from Floors of Wilmington, and the installer with Odell Flooring took to explain to me all my concerns. I will definitely come back to Floors of Wilmington for my bedrooms!
