I love this location! Very friendly and clean! The supervisor was very friendly!! The bathroom was neat and lots of cleaning was happening in-between customers.

Consistent, delicious, good looking donuts every single visit. Fairly quick service, and nice employees.It’s one of our go to places!

After the refresh, the service is much better, faster and all things in stock. Way better than before.

Im reviewing this based on todays visit. Normally, this place is awesome and have never had an issue until today. Used the app at the drive through for the points. Cashier had no clue how to handle it (just use the hand held scanner). The biggest issue with todays visit was the quality of the donuts. Way too much glaze and it never even touched the bottom of the donuts. I like glazed but come on! Even someone with no training could look at these and figure out its not right.

Everytime I go in this Krispy Kreme I have to wait over 5 minutes before any one even speaks. There is usually 3 or 4 employees walking around on the back. Tales forever to get someone to wait on you. The person doing drive thru is usually busting tail to wait on all the cars all by themselves. But the donuts are delicious 🙂

This place is only good because the fact it’s Krispy Kreme and it has a drive thru. Besides that, this place literally is hell. I did an online order and chose door side pickup. Pull up to make a call saying I’m here and was on hold for 20 minutes!!!! They never even answered so I hung up and went to the door myself and saw they had a sign saying indoor is closed. So I was forced to go thru the drive thru. I sat there for an HOUR!!!! As I’m in line I see there’s plenty of workers inside so I called again and saw no one even bother to answer. I believe if you’re going to hire teenagers at least make sure they aren’t sloppy and will actually do their job?… like Jesus Christ what’s the point of online order if I’m practically having to wait in the drive thru hour long line!!!! The whole point was to avoid this mess!!! Shame on you! Fix your workers.

I got to the store right when the manager was unlocking the door to open for business. She greeted me with a huge smile and welcome. Walking past the line, I could see there was a little problem with the production. A lady was working on the line with some tools, and she quickly had the production of HOT donuts flowing. The service was world class!!the store was very clean, the staff was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Carolina Beach or Kure Beach.

Talk about a Krispy Kreme that does not have their s*it together. This is the worst one I have ever been to by a longshot.No lighting in the drive through menu so you have to use your own cellphone light.The store doesnt even look like its open from the outside.When you get here first thing in the morning they have absolutely nothing to pick from besides were sold out.And then after paying for my entire order they tell me that m Brew boxes are sold out as well.I will not be returning to the store ever.

These Young Black girls work at that store. They’re attitudes are Ratchet.They lie about everything,They won’t even look at you if you Black,They have been well trained to respond to their OTHER customers.Finally after standing there for about 7 minutes. The manager asked me was I there to pick up. I think you should hire better employees!!!!!!😭😢

Did drive up. Not sure if order speakers are working properly. Server needed an attitude adjustment. We enjoy those tasty, moist and gooey donuts.

I did not enjoy my time here. The employees were sweet and awesome but I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and it was the worse coffee ive ever had! I was really surprised.... It was a cup of ice with hot regular coffee poured over it and a shot of vanilla cream... The ice melted making it watery and taste odd. Not really their specialty just expected something different I guess. Donut was good maybe a bit stale. It was later in the day, so that couldve been the issue. But the people were polite and awesome and helpful!

Came into the store this morning to buy donuts. NO ONE WAS AT THE FRONT COUNTER...I waited at the front counter for 15 minutes, was asked if I had been waited on by the drive through attendant and still no one came to work at the front counter. I ended up leaving. I drove across town to get these doughnuts, I will not be back!

Fresh off the racks on a Sunday evening, Krispy Kreme came through. The glazed were hot off the belt and the chocolate iced glazed hadnt been sitting long either. Fast, efficient, warm and delicious.One opportunity: Ive been eating Krispy Kreme Donuts for 35 + years and I miss the good days where each Krispy Kreme offered and advertised a free donut per customer when that neon red sign was lit. You always had to go inside, but once you did, you could always see the mini donut factory in motion, producing soft & hot rings of goodness before placing your order and being given one of those fresh treats with a smile. Based on my understanding, it is now only select stores that participate in this tradition and this College Rd. location is not a participant. Its kind of a bummer too. I was happy walking out with our assorted dozen for $14, but would have been thrilled with a bakers dozen with that extra one offered up as a Krispy Kreme traditional trademark. I believe if this location went back with this tradition, the loss of 1 donut per order could be a win / win for the customers and the owners, both. Overall, it was a pleasant visit with amazing evening donuts. Just nothing that truly blew me away or exceeded my expectations. 4 STARS!!

Terrible service! We waited 35 minutes in the carline to be told they were only selling regular original glazed. The line was wrapped all the way around the building. By the time we got our donuts it was 50 minutes. Would have drove off after being told at the speaker that we could only get regular donuts but we waited 35 minutes and wanted something. Employees were robots that were completely unapologetic and unfriendly. We even called the number listed on their website to ask if the dining room was open and after calling twice and letting it ring until it timed out, no one answered. There were 4 or 5 employees inside when we got there and it seemed like only one person was running around working while the rest were huddled up talking. This used to be our regular stop while on vacation here but it ended tonight.

We love visiting our local Krispy Kreme, the doughnuts are always fresh and the service is always quick. The new Oreo doughnuts are awesome, we all recommend you get some. My advice from a doughnut connoisseur, get 2 dozen!

This is the ONLY location in Wilmington, but its still the best. The customer service is always pleasant and the workers are great at their job. I asked about a product and was given a real opinion with the recommendation of a better product. I am always pleased with the service and the donuts are always fresh and delicious. If you love warm donuts, do yourself a favor and catch them when the hot light is on.

Delicious and hot. Very nice woman of color waited on me, she was very pleasant and helpful!! Would have given 5 stars but the lemon filled was empty no lemon at all, somebody missed that one. Thats Okay overall Great!!

They were fresh and delicious. Sad they didnt have the cheesecake one I wanted to try. They have a limited selection, but still wicked good.

Both the website and the front door of this location stated that they open at 6am. We arrived just before 7 and there were employees in the parking lot and the smell of donuts in the air, but the doors were locked, the drive-thru was blocked off, and there was no explanation or change of hours posted on the doors. We waited til after 7am just in case they were opening late and it still did not open. Nobody answered the phone either. A friend in the area was surprised so she stopped by the following day around lunchtime and it was the same then too. Highly disappointed!

Dont waste your time if youre after a specialty doughnut. Nine visits on three different promotions and they never have them. The drive through is horribly slow so its always 10 minutes waiting in line to hear We dont have them now Ill have them later but later never comes.Not just that but the staff is super hit or miss. One out of four visits Ill get someone super awesome, but the other three times I regret even having showed up.

I came here with the some of friends. This was my first time eating a donut!I thought it was just a bagel with sugar on it. Girl I was surprised! We got them hot & fresh & they were so soft, moist, & gooey. Theyre great! Just too much sugar...

You just cant drive by when that light is on! Those fresh donuts are like manna falling from the heavens! Warm and soft and so sweet! Make sure you get some milk. There will more than likely be a descent wait but it will be worth it!

Sundays are a terrible time to go here especially around 3-5pm! as the employees have chosen to slack off in providing a service which was always a pleasure to visit, today the donuts are small, trays are empty and to tell you the truth its become a place of lazy workers!!!!

Place is awful. Never have any other donuts beside original glazed. Drive through takes at least and hour to get through and they like to randomly lock the doors so the interior isn’t accessible.

This location is really a disappointment. The drive thru menu and speaker is NEVER WORKING. They won’t even take the “extra effort” to put out a sign that says it’s not working and to drive around to the window to order. Myself and others took the liberty to do so and come at the window there is no menu to order from, the customer service is terrible, and to top it off they never have fresh doughnuts. In fact they don’t ever even have all the doughnuts. Constantly out of flavors and I was given what they had which tasted to be about 2-3 days old with hard doughnuts and dry glaze. The hot sign is never on and the quality of doughnuts are terrible.Save your money and go to a different location! Hell, even go to Dunkin.Very disappointed. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Every time I visit a Krispy Kreme it seems the donuts get smaller and the price gets higher. Paid over $10 for a dozen plain glazed donuts that werent even straight off the hot line. The employees however were very friendly and courteous.

The staff at the drive through were very rude. The person acted like it was an inconvenience when I asked for a dozen assorted donuts. She asked me what I wanted and I told her which donuts I wanted but when I got home they were just plain donuts with two chocolate donuts after waiting in the drive through for 20 minutes.

The best doughnuts. Extremely helpful ladies helped me carry my large order out because Im on a crutch. Much appreciated!

They take forever to get orders out, they dont fill mobile orders until you get there, you wont get fresh donuts unless you go through the slow drive through line.

First time one of our group had been de Krispy Kreme to watch the donuts come fresh off the line and then becoming enrobed in sugar. We each got a couple of doughnuts one fresh hot one and one of the specialty donuts. They were good as usual, boy do they sit heavy on you. This is a nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Will definitely go back and if you havent had the experience about fairy fresh hot Krispy Kreme donut off the line you seriously need to make a stop at this.

On two different occasions this month we attempt to go get doughnuts and both times they were out.(only certain ones were available) And was the told the hot sign would not be on due to being short staff multiple cars drove off. All around bad for business. Dirty location. We will not be back.

I love Krispy Kreme -- however, the one in Wilmington NC is awful. I travel alot with work and wanted breakfast. I ordered minis but they didnt make any today and couldnt explain why (last time I stopped they didnt make any that day either). No biggie, I got a strawberry iced (MY FAV!!) and a choc glazed --- BOTH were cold and hard as if they had them in the fridge???!!! A waste of money today! Might I add I had to ask for napkins (you already know youre going to need napkins when eating doughnuts) and whoever was working the drive-thru wasnt very pleasant...maybe she was just having a bad day? Not sure but will not stop there again.

Never been so disappointed at a Krispy Kreme. No order taken through the drive thru but we were told through the drive thru speaker that we had to order at the window and then waited for a very unprofessional young lady to take our order. No lemon filled donuts, which are our favorite. They have been replaced with lemonade glazed. No apple donuts that were on the sign. Saw hot donuts on the conveyor and asked if they were hot glazed and she laughed and said they just didnt turn the sign on today. Got cream filled and the filling tasted like it had been thinned down. We waited in line so long to get these donuts that we almost ran out of gas. Just an overall bad experience and unfortunately that is my 2nd bad experience at this Wilmington location. What a shame.

We arrived late at night and they were out of all filled donuts, but the light was on and they were truly hot and ready!!! They were delicious.

The last 3 visits have not been very good. They frequently run out of plain glazed donuts as well as other varieties. The work area is very messy and does not appear to be cleaned often.The cashier staff is not well trained and does not communicate well with customers.They do not keep sufficient change in the store to do basic cash transactions.Overall it appears to be very poorly managed and operated.

Thank you to the GM who brought these amazing treats to my associates and I this morning. It was a much needed blessing after a long work week. Thank you

There was a misunderstanding on my part about receiving free dozen on doughnuts. She was very nice, patient and understanding. Both ladies that were working this morning at the drive thru. I don’t know their names.

Whoever was just working the drive through on 3/16/21 at 10pm was SO RUDE. It says online that the drive through was still open past 10-11 & the lady took the order of the person right in front of me but when i went to order she said “WERE CLOSED” didn’t greet me first, didn’t apologize. And i said “well it says online you’re still open drive through until 11”. Then she IGNORED ME. smh. It seems the past few times these months I’ve went to order or get donuts the people are always extremely rude. Y’all need to get better staff. Its not that difficult to put donuts into a box, and i know Y’all throw them away after the shift too. Y’all also need to update your time online then. Will probably never get donuts here again. This place has for sure gone downhill. Its most definitely the unfriendly staff. Id work here & would be more than happy to sell people nice donuts with a SMILE & greet.

Went yesterday after work, got there and they had no assorted doughnuts. They said they had equipment failures. Hot sign was on so I got a dozen. Had an hour drive home. They said they would have the assorted flavors on the next day. Got home and the glazed doughnuts had already looked like they were 3 days old. Hardly no glazing seemed to be present. Went back today and said they had sold out of the assorted doughnuts and said they didn’t even make any apple filled! No lemon, no custard filled, only 1 Kreme filled. Tried 3 different times to call ahead but phone rang until it hung up! This is undoubtedly the worst Krispy Kreme I have ever seen. I am originally from Winston-Salem where I am use to the best. Very disappointed! Will never return to the Wilmington location at S. College road again! Will drive to Fayetteville if I want any Krispy Kreme in the future!

Out of doughnuts all the time when Im in town.( Three times out of four). Love their doughnuts just wish they had them when i get there.

Night staff is very young and immature. There was a sign on the speaker saying drive up to the window to place a order. Went to the window to see a young lady with her back turned. She seen us and decided to walk off. The young lady didnt return for 5 minutes when she did return it took her at least 3 minutes to get our 4 doughnuts because she was having a conversation with her friends.

I guess “Hot Doughnuts Now” is code for something else. I saw the sign on and decided to pull in, first time in a long time. Asked for a dozen glazed and opened the box before leaving the lot. Dougnuts are air conditioner cold and no fresher than a box in the grocery store.Are you supposed to say, “no not the ones from yesterday” when the hot doughnuts now sign is on? I don’t get it.Two stars because the cashier was nice, otherwise pointless and disappointment.

The location on College Rd. in Wilmington NC does not exist. They took my order and my money on line, but I drove around for an hour trying to find the store. Called the number listed but its just a random person somewhere in the world - I called twice and both times I was sitting in the spot they told me to go to. NO KK! Picked up donuts for Valentines Day. The filled donuts were not filled at all - only a hint of filling. There was not even a full bite of the cream filled that actually had cream in them. Folks put more apple jelly in a slice of toast than the apple filled donuts contained. VERY DISAPPOINTING Not sure if this is a cost savings measure or not, but it cost a customer. I will go to local shops like Burneys, Donut Inn, Sweet Ds, etc.

I ordered two dozen assorted doughnuts to be delivered to my son for St Patricks Day. Only one dozen was delivered and when I called the store they said there was nothing they could do. I called the delivery driver who said that I should call the store back. I called back to speak to a manager and my name and number were taken, but I was never contacted. I spent a couple of hours trying to track people down and resolve this with no luck. Ill never order there again.

I love KK and of course had to stop in for a dozen original glazed for my birthday! We enjoyed them, but would have liked for them to have been fresher. Hopefully next time the light will be on. The cashier was very nice! 5+ stars for her!

At first, I was unsure how good this place was because of the long line and soon decided to just park and head inside. It was spotless as I came in and got my doughnuts. I got a regular glaze and 2 random ones. At a previous Krispy Kreme, they only gave me basic chocolate ones but here, they gave me the oreo doughnut as well as the glazed sour cream which was massively better. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Unfortunately for me the HOT fresh light always seems to be on, and my Jeep automatically pulls into the drive through. I cannot resist their fresh hot glazed rounds of perfection. There are plenty of different flavors and styles of doughnuts but their basic yeast glazed doughnut is the best. I guess I am just a purist at heart. Their coffee is also one of the best on the market.

All the staff were had a great attitude and helpful! Sabrina insisted on carrying my large order out to my car for me which was very helpful. Thank you, Sabrina!

WHY would Krispy Kreme quit making our favorites??? I stopped by w/a craving, but left unsatisfied (almost) after finding 4 of my 5 favorites arent made anymore! Only about ten varieties were available & not one was a cake donut. So, instead of a dozen, I left with one awesome Chocolate Glazed Kreme filled donut...I did ask & I think KK corporate may be running Wilmington store now. Dont quote me on that.

This was at the drive thru on South College rd in Wilmington. The attendant was so snarky and rude to me as I was trying to order. He answered a short NO to every question I asked, accompanied by rude, ill mannered behavior. I will not be back. In fact, I didnt follow through with my order because of his behavior. I refused to give my money to this company.... Thanks for nothing... BE BACK NEVER!

I go through the drive thru and told them clearly that I wanted 2 dozen mixed doughnuts. SHE SAYS ok. Then I start to order and literally EVERY doughnut I say I want....she says they dont have. Why not say we have nothing but ORIGINAL...instead of making us wait 20 minutes in line for there to be nothing. THE STORE LITERALLY ONLY HAD ORIGINAL AMD THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS!

As I’m placing my order every donut I ordered they were out, she had an attitude from the time I started my order until I drove off and then got mad she “she didn’t hear” my whole order. Ariana offers the waste customer service I have had while dealing with krispy kreme. My advice she doesn’t need to work the window deal with customers or be employed. The best part is she didn’t even have a mask on. However that’s just my opinion.

Terrible service. Ordered 2 cups of coffee at 6:30 AM with cream and sugar. They didn’t put the cream and sugar in the coffee, but hand me cream only and then tell me when I asked AGAIN for sugar they have no sugar just Splenda. Give me Greenville North Carolina Krispy Kreme any day of the week! The attitude of the ladies working here was if I was bothering them by ordering coffee. Ridiculous!

Ive always eaten at Krispy Kreme Donuts, pretty much ever since I was born. Most of the time, its been from this Krispy Kreme, and Ive always been more than happy with their donuts, especially when the light is on. Unfortunately, thats no longer the case.This past year, I wanted to get a dozen donuts for my birthday. They give you a time-range when donuts will be made fresh on their website, but they wont give you a specific time. I tried calling the store itself several times, and no one would pick up the phone. I would wait ~20 minutes, call again, still nothing. Tried it on multiple phones throughout the day, and eventually had to give up. They advise you to install their app, as thats an easy way to tell when things are being made fresh. I checked the app probably about every 10 minutes during the day, over the course of several days. The light never came on. Meanwhile, if I scroll down a little to Myrtle Beach, there are locations there where the light is ALWAYS on.Eventually, my birthday came, and I had to have cold donuts served to me by a very rude woman at the drive-through. I pulled up, and I guess she was just in a bad mood that day, but when I was ordering my dozen donuts I wanted a few different kinds in there (regular glazed, 1 birthday cake, a few chocolate glazed, and some creme filled). I paused a little in between each type so shed have time to write it down / acknowledge my choice (like you would normally whenever you order anything in a drive through), and between literally every choice I made, she would make a snarky comment about me not reaching a dozen yet, and if I only wanted a half a dozen or a custom amount. Eventually I just stopped being courteous and pausing, and just listed everything I wanted.I pulled off, and finally, I had some donuts. I popped them open in the car to check them (if theyre warm, normally I sample a few in the car), and the results were pretty abysmal. The glazed, hard as a rock. The creme filled? Maybe a teaspoon of creme in each, the rest was either just an empty void in the middle of the donut, or just solid dough. All that hassle, for some subpar, cold donuts. Could have gotten better quality from the store bought cold Krispy kreme donuts.A short while later, it was time for the Mars landing, and they were having a special promotion for a limited edition Mars landing donut. Im a sucker for caramel, and thought that maybe Id give them one more chance, for old times sake. The story was pretty much the same. No one would pick up my calls, the light never came on, even with the app, and its not like I could wait forever, as they were supposedly only being served for a day.I went over to get a dozen of the Mars donuts, and had to wait ~45 minutes in the drive through line. Sorry, but how IN THE WORLD does it make sense that theres a line for cold donuts?!?! Theyre already in a box, just hand them out the window, and lets go. Somehow, that was too much for them, and each customer took like 10 minutes at the window before they got any donuts. Finally got mine after all that waiting, and was kind of disappointed when it came to my in-car check. Donuts were ugly, like a toddler was fingerpainting the glaze on top. If they tasted good / were made correctly, this could be forgiven, but much like the creme filled, they had almost no filling, or were almost entirely hollow.Apparently the store doesnt have any phones, so I cant talk to anyone about this, but I will never be going to (at least this) Krispy Kreme again.

Terrible service and hygiene! The employees were unresponsive to the people in the store and were touching their noses and mouths despite the safety hazard. They were not changing their gloves and returned a donut to the tray after someone had returned it. I would never return to this location. 0/5 stars.

First of all I am not one to normally leave a review at all or especially a negative one. But me and my mom drove all the way from leland to come get some doughnuts..... The line was wrapped all the way around the building. We didnt think anything of it, just thought a lot of people wanted doughnuts, no problem. The door to order inside was locked, so we sat in line for a few minutes because we couldnt get out of line, a few minutes turned into like 25, just to get up to the speaker to be told they only have original glaze. That alone was a disappointment. My mom asked for an oreo mocha chiller, and we were told they were out of ice?!? We also got told that it had to be exact change/cash or a debit/ credit card. While we are sitting in line, we watch 2 workers come out and just chill at their car, they go back in and a few minutes later, come back out and make it seem like they are taking the trash out ... During this whole process of sitting in line, we have noticed atleast 4 different workers. If there is that many people working and the drive through is taking that long.... For ONLY ORIGINAL GLAZE.... THERE IS A PROBLEM. It would have been nice to know that there was only original glaze before sitting in line for that long. Next time either get your people to come notify people sitting in line of whats going on, so they dont waste their time and gas like we did, ORRRRR make a sign big enough to be seen from the drive through on the front door/side windows to notify people.But the white girl with alot of tattoos and dreads needs a raise, she was the only one that seemed to be doing anything. She was taking the orders, having to cash them out on the front register ( the drive through card reader was down), and box the doughnuts her self. While like I mentioned we counted at least 3 other people in there. They need to work together or get more staff in there that will actually work and get the drive through rolling. We sat at the window alone for almost 7 minutes. But I give the girl credit cause like I said, she was the only one that seemed to be doing anything and I could only imagine how overwhelmed she was getting.

My least favorite Krispy Kreme store. Very slow and unprofessional. Donuts weren’t very warm and had a hair on them. My coffee was not good.

There donuts were bustin, took a little bit to get them because of the wait time but it was worth the wait.

I had a friend who worked for Krispy Kreme and her experience wasnt better at all. She had a family member pass away and the Kreme didnt give a care in the world about her as a person. They still made her come to work and gave her no time to grieve. Of course I will still go here just because the donuts are seriously amazing, but I just wish the people were better.

Waited in line for an hour while the sign was on, and was given lukewarm doughnuts. The drive thru speaker was broken so you couldnt even place your order until you got to the window.

They were fast..doughnuts were not hot and fresh at the time but they were still good. Service was okay other than couldnt really understand the lady who took our order and Im assuming its due to the fact she was wearing a mask so cant complain. Easy to get in and out of their parking lot so that was a plus.

Not as good as britts but they usually have fresh donuts and ive never had any issues here.

Ive always loved Krispy Kreme but seems like since they added their mini donut sizes are inconsistent and not sure if they change their recipe but last time I wasnt super happy with it but Krispy Kreme deserves a second chance

Visited October 4, where three of the four large ads over the register promoted pumpkin items. When we started ordering, they informed us they’d stopped selling pumpkin items last week. As in, the second full week of fall. This makes zero logical marketing sense.Item availability is a Corp decision; I get that. However, local management does make store-level decisions - like having no hot donuts at 10 AM on a cool, rainy Sunday morning.Local management is also responsible for adherence to state Covid precautions. Not a single person in the store had their noses covered. Additionally, the gentleman with face tattoos hosing down the glaze track had his covering nothing but his chin.Don’t think I would return during the pandemic. Maybe stick to Wake and Bake.

Always good no matter the time if day or if your are in the middle of a pandemic. Big sad they had no chocolate iced custard filled, but thats ok

Hot Doughnuts when... Now bish.

The donuts were delicious. They need to fix their intercom in the drive thru though. I ordered some of the chocolate covered cream filled donuts and some lemon filled and raspberry filled. I didnt think it was necessary to check my order but I wish I did. I got the lemon and raspberry filled but instead of the chocolate topped cream filled I got plain chocolate frosted donuts. Very disappointing. Next time I will risk going inside instead of drive-thru or else check my box before I pull away.
