Cassandra was great! I’m 54 years old and concerned with wrinkles. She listened to my concern and did my make up based on that. It looked so natural that even my husband was like-“ you look like you have no wrinkles “. She was professional and sweet. Would highly recommend her and this business!

I went for my extension consultation about ten days ago, and the staff was so sweet and welcoming! I got the opportunity to speak with Kristina as well, and she is such a sweetheart. Tracey did my consultation, and I am so incredibly happy that I decided to go for it that day. I got my extensions yesterday, Tracey made it go by so fast and it was so much fun chatting with her. What a fun experience at the Beauty Bar! From outside to inside the place is adorable 😍 I love Aveda products and my glam squad, Madison (hair) + Amber (makeup), did a fab job start to finish! Also, the salon is Covid19 conscience and I felt safe while I was there!

I’ve tried several salons in the Newark/Wilmington area but always felt like the staff wasn’t that great or professional. Since I’m getting ready to go on vacation, I made an appointment here for a Brazilian. I called when I realized I’d be late due to unexpected traffic and the girls at the front and Ev, the esthetician, were so understanding and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Once I got there, Ev greeted me right away and was so friendly throughout the whole thing. I have very sensitive skin and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. This was my third wax, but first with Beauty Bar and now I won’t go anywhere else. Waxes can be awkward to begin with but it was nice to be with someone who actually made it enjoyable. The aesthetic was upbeat and so was the vibe of everyone there. You can tell the girls really enjoy working with each other and their clients. I already booked my next wax and a haircut with this place. Lifelong customer!

I recently came across the Beauty Bars page on Instagram- After looking through all the beautiful work, I found Maddison. I called the salon and was greeted by a very nice front desk girl who made the process of booking my appointment ..a BREEZE! The day before my appointment, they had called to make me aware of their COVID guidelines in the salon. When I got to my appointment, not only was it super clean-but super cute!! Maddison came and got me right away. During the consultation, she made sure all my questions and concerns- were answered and understood. I felt very confident going forward... the outcome was better than I imagined. 10/10 recommend her.

I cannot recommend The Beaty Bar enough! Kristina and her team know what they are doing. I reached out to book the team for my wedding and it was the best decision I made. They were so sweet to work with and so incredibly talented! My makeup lasted literally ALL night and my hair was flawless. The entire bridal party was absolutely gorgeous and all of our guests said we looked “photoshopped” because of how amazing everyone’s glam turned out. I also got a spray tan for my big day by Madison- she was incredibly sweet and made me feel so comfortable and I looked glowing- I’ll never go to a spray booth again! They have definitely gained a lifelong customer out of myself and my family / friends. I can’t stop raving to people about them! Ive been going to Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio since it opened last year. Jennifer Borsello is my stylist and she is truly amazing and professional. Together, with her assistant Courtney, they always give the best service and my hair comes out looking great every time! I havent tried all their services yet, but the ones I have tried are wonderful and Im really satisfied. Its a such a pleasure to go there and I feel 100% relaxed and safe in their clean and sanitized surroundings!! They are a first class establishment and I highly recommend them!!

Outstanding service and always professional. Jennifer Borsello is excellent. Makes suggestions and always listens to my ideas too. Her assistant Courtney is also very good. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair. I will keep going back. They are also very careful about keeping things clean and with proper social distance,, so I feel safe during this CoVid time. I have been going here for years and watched the change of hands to the Beauty Bar with interest. It is brighter, with cool merch for sale. Not trying to be a creeper but I had a chance while I waited for my cut, to watch two staffers doing makeovers and they engaged the clients and everyone was having fun. They drew my attention because they all looked like they were having fun. The clients looked lovely, not overdone. And it was very collaborative not pushy.Just a nice, positive place. Also in terms of Covid (boo) they have safe practices and I have gone twice in the last few months. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a new place.

I had a great experience getting my blonde highlights done here today with Kat. I had very specific requirements and she really was able to execute exactly what I wanted. The salon is taking covid precautions seriously.My tip for getting the most out of your visit: spend some time researching what shades of color best suit your skin tone and bring in a few photos as examples!

My wife, Maryann has been a client of Jennifer for many years and has always been extremely satisfied with the professionalism, friendliness and client focus. The shop is following all CDC guidelines during this difficult time and she felt utterly safe and comfortable. She feels more than happy to recommend friends and family to visit this establishment.

I couldn’t be happier with how my wedding make up trial went at Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio. I have been following Kristina’s growth and development over the years and it’s fantastic to see her with her own location. The staff is fantastic and we were warmly greeted upon arrival and the communication had been so great leading up to my appointment with Renee every step of the way — I brought my mom with me for the make up trial and we were blown away with joy at the turn out.I told Madison Reeder (my make up artist) that I wanted to have a natural look on my big day but really left it up to her to decide what to do. I told her “my face is your blank canvas!” And she did beautiful work.I couldn’t be happier with the results and now I’m thrilled about how I’ll look on my big day thanks to Madison and the beauty bar team!! Can’t wait to continue coming back and get other treatments done but 10/10 would recommend treating yourself to an apportionment! 🥰

Is not a hair style, is very unprofessional haircut service is super bad, cut my hair in 10 min.charge me $40. 00 for simple men cut. I was worth hair style I ever have.It was 11/20/2020 at 3.00 pmLooks like lady who cut my hair did this in first time ask me 100 questions and didnt do what I want no even use hair blower.Totaly worth service .Not recommendedwaist time and money.

As a nurse I was hesitant to spend a few hours in a salon during a pandemic, but the staff are strictly adhering to all CDC guidelines. I felt completely at ease and enjoyed a few hours of pampering! And I received the same exemplary services as always. If folks are avoiding salons, don’t; you will not be disappointed in the level of precautions in place.

I just recently went to the beauty bar for the first time to get lash extensions. Erica was my lash artist and I can’t say enough about my experience! She was super friendly, and truly is amazing at her craft. I have received so many compliments on my lashes all thanks to Erica. I can’t wait to try more of the services they have to offer- 10/10 recommend!💕

I was extremely excited to try this place! I scheduled a consultation for a keratin treatment and asked the stylist about using a certain product for my own health concerns. She seemed totally understanding and willing to look into it and get back to me and I was optimistic and excited I would be able to get styled with the salon. I never received a phone call back (I am very understanding they are busy and waited three whole weeks before following up) but even after following up I still never received a call back, which is why I rated this 3 stars because in my opinion it was very unprofessional to be dismissive. I was willing to pay extra for my own product etc. luckily I found another stylist to meet my needs. I will still try the salon for other things, hopefully then I can change my thoughts/review.

Kristina is the ONLY person I trust. I’ve been going to her since I can remember. She makes you feel so comfortable and important the minute you walk in. I can’t even begin to explain how she makes you feel in her chair...... because she does exactly what I want without even having to explain! I’ve been telling her since the day I met her.. she’s my GO TO.
